North Carolina, causing flash floods and major damage. In the
Moore County town of Southern Pines, the long Leaf Dam broke,
forcing evacuations and vehicle rescues. A tornado also touched down
near Sandford, damaging planes and hangars at the Rawleigh Executive Jetport.

Flash flood warnings hit at least six counties in rip
currents led to dozens of rescues along the coast. I'm

fourth of July after a boat exploded on Lake Lanier
