is filing a twenty million dollar false imprisonment claim against

The claim, which is a precursor to a lawsuit, names
the Department of Homeland Security, ICE, and the State Department. Khalil,
a Columbia University graduate who helped organize pro Palestinian protests

by ICE agents last March and held at a Louisiana
detention center for months. He claims he was falsely imprisoned,

Been a number of videos showing mask to ICE agents
in unmarked vehicles taking people into custody. So Senator Booker
and Senator Alex Padeav California just introduced a bill that
bans ICE agents from wearing masks and requires them to
display their agency name in either their name or badge number.

It's called the Visible Act, and so our bill is
trying to actually protect ICE agents protect the public.

A Department of Homeland Security spokesperson responded saying when officers
conduct operations, they clearly identify themselves as law enforcement.
