Speaker 4 (01:07):
It's not exactly how you want to spend a day
in paradise Delta Flight one twenty seven took off from
Madrid Sunday and had been in the air for several
hours when the air bus apparently lost an engine. It
was forced to land on Tersera, a Portuguese island that's
part of the Azores that's about a third of the

to spend more than twenty four hours on the volcanic

lawsuit filed following the deadly Palisades fire in California is
being expanded. Mark Mayfield reports.

Speaker 1 (02:14):
A revised lawsuit was filed on Wednesday on behalf of
thousands of victims of the mess of fire. It claims,
based on official records, the City of Los Angeles and
its Department of Water and Power should have been better
prepared for the fire. It accuses the DWP of failing
to inspect the one hundred and seventeen million dollar reservoir
in Palisades Islands between twenty twenty one and twenty twenty

Speaker 2 (02:44):
There's a hearing scheduled for next Tuesday over whether thirty
New York City Police officers can be fired after it
was alleged they should have been disqualified prior to being hired.

Speaker 3 (02:58):
The NYVD fire the rookie officers Thursday, but late in
the day a judge temporarily stopped the firings at the
request of the police union. The head of the police
union says it's not the officer's faults that the hiring
was tainted by a roganspector. It's alleged NYPD inspector Terrell
Anderson let unqualified candidates into the academy. Former NYPD Chief
of the Department, Terry Monaghan is reacting.

Speaker 1 (03:20):
It's very demoralizing.

Speaker 4 (03:22):

while others lied about previous job terminations.

Speaker 2 (03:30):
Scott Pringle reporting Ozzy Osborne has left the stage and
