The death toll is rising after last week's devastating floods
in central Texas. So far, more than one hundred and
twenty people have died, with most of the fatalities happening
in Kerr County. Officials there say at least one hundred
and three have died, including thirty six children. At least
one hundred and sixty people are still missing. President Trump

visited the area on Friday, saying he's never seen anything
like it, and President Trump is not happy with questions
about possible issues with warnings before the floods hit Central Texas.
While in Kerrville to survey the damage, Trump was asked
by a reporter about possible issues with alerts getting out
fast enough.

The governor releasing data that she says shows everyday New
Yorkers will now be at risk for losing their healthcare
and their SNAP benefits following the Big Beautiful Bills passing.
She says over one point five million New Yorkers will
lose their health coverage due to the planned Medicaid cuts.
On top of that, the governor says three hundred thousand
households throughout the state are now set to lose their

SNAP benefits as well. Hokeel notes that all of New
York's GOP representatives voted in favor of the bill.

Former presidential advisor David Gergan has died. The New York
Times reports he passed away at a retirement community in Lexington, Massachusetts.
He was eighty three. Gergan began his White House career
in the Nixon administration and also served under President's Ford, Reagan,
and Clinton. He also worked as a political commentator and
was once the editor of US News and War Report.

His son tells The Times his father died from Dementia
and Superman is off to a terrific start at the
box office. The first film in James Gunn's DC Universe
made twenty two and a half million dollars from Thursday previews.

India crash is focusing on the pilot's actions. Investigators say
data from the flight recorder shows the fuel supply was
cut off shortly after takeoff. Both engines lost thrust, and
the Boeing seven eighty seven crashed moments later, killing two
hundred and sixty people. The report went on to say
fuel control switches were moved from run to the cutoff position.
