American's opinions of immigration are changing, according to a new
Gallup poll. Tammy Trehillo has more.

The poll, carried out last month, found thirty percent feel
immigration should decrease. That's down substantially from fifty five percent
in twenty twenty four. At the same time, positive views
of immigration are near eighty percent, and that's a record high.
The effect even carries over across party lines. Sixty four
percent of Republicans believing immigration to the US is a
positive thing, a twenty five percent increase from last year.

immigration has dropped from eighty eight percent to forty eight percent.
