are learning more about the man accused of fatally shooting
four people inside a midtown Manhattan office building yesterday before
taking his own life. NBC's Aaron McLoughlin reports that a
note was found in the man's pocket.

According to officials familiar with the investigation, he expressed anger
that his mental illness may be linked to playing football,
two officials saying he mentioned CTE, a brain disease linked
to head trauma, as a possible cause of his condition.

targeting the NFL's headquarters but took the wrong elevator. Another
person was injured in the shooting. New York Governor Kathy
Hochel is calling on Congress to pass an assault weapons
band following Monday's mass shooting. Hockel says despite New York's
strict gun laws, it wasn't enough to prevent the shooter
from driving from Las Vegas to New York with the

that Park Avenue building. Meantime, Hochel is directing flags on
state government buildings to be flown at half staff in
honor of the victims until they're laid to rest. A
