Former Treasury Secretary Larry Summers is blasting President Trump's decision
to fire the head of the Bureau of Labor Statistics
following the latest jobs report. In an interview with ABC's
This Week, Summers said the President's decision raises major concerns.

The report, released Friday, said the US economy added just
seventy three thousand jobs last month, well below estimates. It
also revised the May and juwe numbers downward by more
than two hundred thousand jobs combined. The White House is
pushing a plan to end the war in Gaza. President
Trump's Special Envoy to the Middle East, Steve Whitcoff, met
with families of Israeli hostages in Tel Aviv on Saturday

and told them the US is focused on a comprehensive
deal to end the war and return all of the
remaining captives held by Hamas as Blake's sift and report,
Steve Whitkoff was seen with a convoy at an aid
center in the city of Rafa in southern Gaza.

The White House says they will inspect food distribution sites,
work to secure plans for more food delivery, and meet
with Palestinians to hear about the hunger situation. Firsthand reports
have suggested that they will visit food distribution sites run
by the controversial US and Israeli backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation.

Israeli official say fifty hostages remain in Gaza, but only
twenty are believed to be alive. Over a million young
Catholics attended a mass by Pope Leo this morning as
the Jubilee of Youth wrapped up in Rome. The Pope
delivering a message of hope.

southern California has been upheld Jordan Christmas has more.

The ruling affirms the order issued last month that granted
the restraining order requested by immigrant advocates. The ruling applies
to Los Angeles, Orange, San Bernardino, Riverside, Ventura, Santa Barbara,
and San Louis Obispo Counties. Los Angeles Mayor care In

and for the City of Los Angeles.

Several Democratic led states are suing the Trump administration over
its efforts to limit gender affirming healthcare. The lawsuit targets
and executive order that aims to undermine support for what
the federal government refers to as gender ideology. There is
no federal law in our country prohibiting gender affirming care.

In fact, California and the other states represented by this
lawsuit have laws protecting their right to gender affirming care.

Speaker 2 (02:57):
Attorney General Rob Bontas's California recognizes gender affirming care as
medically necessary healthcare. He says the state prohibits healthcare providers
from discriminating against patients on the basis of gender identity.
Bonte says the USDOJ has subpoenaed doctors and clinics, threatening
civil and criminal prosecution for providing such care. One person

is dead after authorities say they try to illegally access
a military base in southern Arizona. The US Air Force
said in a news release that the suspect failed to
stop their car at the main gate of Davis monthan
Air Force base outside Tucson, early Friday morning. The suspect
was reportedly driving erradically and crashed into a vehicle barrier
before a member of the basis security team fatally shot them.

The suspect was a civilian who officials say was not
in the military. The NFL has reportedly agreed to a
billion dollar deal with ESPN. A report in The Athletics
says an official announcement from Disney is expected next week.
The deal will see the NFL's popular red Zone program
