Just four minutes. The FBI is getting involved in the
fight between Texas Democrats and Republicans over congressional redistricting. Texas
Republican Governor Greg Abbott confirmed the FBI as tracking down
House Democrats who fled the state to stop a vote
on GOP led redistricting efforts. Meantime, Senator Ken King says

that they have the power to redraw maps whenever they want.

All states have very broad authority. This is recognized by
the courts and its election cause to choose when to
do redistricting.

Speaker 2 (00:40):
President Trump says Russian President Putin would like to meet
with him. Speaking from the Oval Office, Trump said both
Putin and Ukrainian President Zelenski both want to meet with him.
As a Friday deadline for Russia to start cease fire
talks approaches, Trump told reporters it's not necessary for Putin
to meet with Selensky prior to a meeting with himself.

President Trump is honoring nearly one hundred past Purple Heart recipients.
Trump held a ceremony at the White House as today
mark's National Purple Heart Day. Some Recipients and attendants include
three veterans who gave their Purple Heart medals to the
President following the assassination attempt on his life last year.

It's part of an effort by the Trump administration to
bring back statues that honor the Confederacy. The Reconciliation Monument
features a bronze statue of a woman standing on a
pedestal with several interpretations linked to the South, including depictions
of slavery underneath her. The monument was initially debuted in
