The Israeli Security Cabinet has approved a full military takeover
of the Gaza Strip. More from Mark Mayfield.

The office of Prime Minister Benjamin Netnya, who says a
majority of his security cabinet back to his proposal early
Friday to begin the gradual military takeover of the Palestinian territory,
beginning with Gaza City. A statement from the Prime Minister
says the goal of the takeover is to achieve a
decisive victory over Hamas and the return of all the hostages.
The statement said the takeover plan would allow for the

provision of humanitarian aid to civilians outside the combat zones.
There is no mention of when the takeover would begin.

The Army is honoring six soldiers with Meritorious Service medals
for bravely subduing a shooter at Fort Stewart in Georgia.
Sergeant Cornelius Radford opened fire on fellow soldiers Wednesday, injuring five,
who are all expected to recover. Radford remains in custody
as officials recognize the quick actions that prevented further harm.

President Trump is sending federal law enforcement officers into the
streets of the nation's capital. The White House made the
announcement Thursday, saying their effort will start as a week
long operation, but can be extended as needed. The moves
started at midnight, led by the US Park Police. It
will include officers and agents from the FBI, DEAATF, and ICE.

The Trump administration is asking the Supreme Court to let
it resume its immigration raids across southern California. Tammy Treheo

Last month, the US District judge blocked the immigration raids
targeting home depot parking lots in other areas where immigrants
may congregate, ruling that broad factors like their language and
line of work fell short of a constitutional basis for
reasonable suspicion. On Thursday, the Justice Department filed an emergency
appeal defending the use of those factors and claimed that
ICE agents are entitled to rely on those factors when

billion dollars in cash flow to deploy robotaxis. It currently
