Texas Attorney General Ken Paxon is calling on the state
Supreme Court to expel thirteen House Democrats who fled the
state in a political standoff over redistricting. Paxton made the
request as state Republicans attempt to redraw congressional maps to
benefit the GOP. Over a dozen Democratic lawmakers fled Texas
to keep the state House from having the minimum number
of members needed to proceed Friday. Paxton argued that thirteen

The Texas Tribune says Texas lawmakers have been taking quorum
breaks since the eighteen seventies and have never been expelled.
President Trump and Russian leader Vladimir Putin will be meeting
in Alaska next week to discuss ending the war in Ukraine.

Federal Aviation Administration on Thursday released a workforce plan with
details on how it will address a shortage of air
traffic controllers in the US. The report adds however, that
it expects to have only about one thousand additional certified
controllers by the end of fiscal year twenty twenty eight
of washouts among its recruits. The report comes after sixty
seven people died last January in a mid air collision

with a violent brawl in downtown Cincinnati. The suspects have

through September, with multiple cases being reported now. Doctors at
the Cleveland Clinic recommend that folks try to avoid being
outdoors at sunrise and at sunset, the time that mosquitoes
are most active and apply an EPA approved mosquito repellent.
West Nile symptoms include fever, muscle lakes, and sometimes naughzy,
but doctors say most people that get the virus are
