is putting Washington d C. Police under federal control. It's
part of his major crackdown on crime. Speaking at the
White House this morning, he said he'll rescue Washington, d C,
calling today it's Liberation Day. Trump is activating the National

Guard to help local law enforcement as part of his plan,
and added he'll send in the military if needed. President
Trump said Ukraine's leader will not take part in his
summit with Vladimir Putin at the White House today. When
asked about the summit in Alaska on Friday with the
Russian leader, Trump was cautiously optimistic.

I believe he wants to get it over with now.
I've said that a few times that I've been disappointed
because I have like a great call with him, and
then missiles would be lobbed in Tikiev for some other place.

Trump said he will call Zelenski and other European leaders
after he speaks with Putin and possibly set up a
meeting with Ukraine's leader after that. Trump said he doesn't
anticipate a deal to end the Ukraine Russian War. After
his meeting with Putin, then added that he'll either tell
both sides there's going to be a deal or they
can keep fighting. Trump calls his sit down with Putin

a feel out meeting. Israeli Prime Minister of Benjamin net
Yahoo is defending plans to take over Gaza City. NBC's
Matt Bradley reports he spoke at a news conference amid
another weekend of protests in Israel, and Nyahu.

Has said that he would be expanding the fight in
Gaza City as well as the area of Al Muassi,

Members of the UN Security Council met yesterday in an
emergency session as several nations condemned the new offensive. They
warned that it would do nothing to bring home hostages
held by himas for nearly two years. Chip makers Navidia
and AMD will pay the US fifteen percent of the
revenue from chip sales to China. Multiple reports say the
deal was made so the company's can secure export licenses.

The hairless English French bulldog mix named Petunia took the
title in the World's Ugliest Dog contest at the Sonoma
County Fair this past Friday. Owner Shannon Nineman won five
thousand dollars from the contest, which has been running for
nearly fifty years on Mark Mayfield.

Over a half a billion dollars will be up for
grabs in tonight's Powerball drawing. Nobody matched all the numbers
on Saturday, so the estimated jackpot now stands at five
hundred and one million bucks. The cash option on that
works out to nearly two hundred and thirty million. Odds
of walking away with all that money are roughly won
in two hundred and ninety two million. Officials in New
York's Westchester County are looking into a reported shark sighting

in New Rochelle. Swimmers at Glen Island Beach say they
saw a fin in the water yesterday and lifeguards ordered
them back to land as a precaution. Park rangers arrived
at the scene but were not able to confirm if
there was indeed a shark or sharks in the area.
