Four minutes, as predicted, The state of Texas has a
new congressional map as of this weekend. The Texas Senate
has approved the new map that will give the GOP
five more seats. The Texas Tribune says the map was
adopted early Saturday on a party line vote over fierce
Democratic opposition that accused state Republicans of gerrymandering. President Trump

had called for the new map to increase the House
majority ahead of the midterm elections. The map sponsor, Republican
Phil King, said it was needed for the GOP to
maintain control of the federal government. California Governor Gavin Newsom
is confident that voters will approve his redistricting plan in
a special election this November. Bryan Shook explains.

He says that's despite the Trump administration's efforts to oppose it,
which Newsom claims will involve spending over one hundred million day.

In a just released transcript of her interview last month
with the Justice Department, the convicted sex trafficker also claimed
she never saw President Trump get a massage from Epstein's

Maxwell is serving a twenty year federal prison sentence in
Texas for sex trafficking, and President Trump is saying the
Intel CEO has agreed to give the US a ten
percent stake. The President sent on Friday he reached an

stake worth ten billion dollars. I'm Jim Forbes. Defense Secretary
Pete Hegseth is authorizing National Guard troops deployed in Washington,
d C. To carry weapons if required. That's according to
multiple reports. The decision allows the nearly two thousand troops
in the nation's capital to expand operations, which could lead

to security patrols and neighborhoods with crime issues. Earlier this week,
President Trump had suggested the military personnel deployed would be
given a larger role. Aarin is no longer a hurricane
and well out into the Atlantic, but the storm will
continue to affect New York and New Jersey beaches throughout
the weekend. Christ and Marx has more.

A high risk of rip currents remains through Sunday evening
for the Jersey Shore, New York City beaches, and the
south shore of Long Island, So if you want to
get into the water, the Long Island Sound is probably
the way to go. Meanwhile, the massive waves and flooding
from Aarin left many community along the Jersey Shore dealing
with cleanup. They include Wildwood, which just saw the completion
of a beach replenishment project.

President Trump says he'll know if he's made any progress
towards peace in Ukraine in about two weeks. Trump has
attempted to broker a peace deal, meeting with Russia's Vladimir
Putin and then with Ukraine Zelenski and US European allies.
On Friday, from the White House, Trump was asked about
new Russian strikes against Ukraine and he said he wasn't

happy about anything with the war. Trump said, quote, we'll
find out in about two weeks about the attitude of
Russia and Ukraine. And Major League Baseball is reportedly finalizing
new media rights deals with NBC, ESPN, and Netflix. That's
according to CNBC. The three year deals would see NBC
getting MLBS Sunday games as well as wild card playoff games.
