new congressional map as of this weekend. The Texas Senate
has approved the new map that will give the GOP
five more seats. The Texas Tribune says the map was
adopted early Saturday on a party line vote over fierce
Democratic opposition that accused state Republicans of gerrymandering. President Trump

had called for the new map to increase the House
majority ahead of the midterm elections. The map sponsor, Republican
Phil King, said it was needed for the GOP to
maintain control of the federal government. California Governor Gavin Newsom
is confident that voters will approve his redistricting plan in
a special election this November. Bryan Shook explains.

On Friday, from the White House, Trump was asked about
new Russian strikes against Ukraine and he said he wasn't

find out in about two weeks about the attitude of
Russia and Ukraine. And Major League Baseball is reportedly finalizing
new media rights deals with NBC, ESPN, and Netflix. That's
according to CNBC. The three year deals would see NBC
getting MLBS Sunday games as well as wild card playoff games.
