The Texas Senate has approved a new congressional map that
gives the Republican Party five more seats in the US House.
The Texas Tribune reports the map was adopted on a
party line vote early this morning over fierce Democratic opposition
that accused state Republicans of gerrymandering. President Trump had called
for the new map to increase the House majority ahead

of the midterm elections next year. The map sponsor, Republican
Phil King, admits it was needed to allow his party
to maintain control of the federal government. The longtime associate
of convicted sex trafficker and sex abuser Jeffrey Epstein, Galine Maxwell,
who's serving a twenty year federal prison sentence herself for
sex trafficking, says she doesn't believe Epstein died by suicide

while in jail. The transcripts and audio from a meeting
hosted by the US Department of Justice with Maxwell have
been relined as the Trumpet administration faces pressure from both
sides of the aisle to make public the files connected
to Epstein. An Upstate New York hospital says they're treating
