The Texas Senate has approved a new congressional map that
is expected to give the GOP five more seats in
the US House. The Texas Tribune says the map was
adopted early this morning on a party line vote over
staunch Democratic opposition that accused Republicans of jerrymandering. President Trump
had called for the new map to increase the House

and amphetamines in his system while on the job, traveling
from California to London. Pentecost was said to be sweating
and babbling in flight and appeared to be agitated. He

had cramps and needed to change his clothes, only for

Pentecost had to be removed from his duties by his

a San Diego parole board made the decision Friday night,
a day after his brother Eric was also denied. Three

The brothers will be able to seek parole again in

The closure follows the Dragon Bravo wildfire, which damaged or
destroyed about seventy structures in July. The historic Grand Canyon Lodge,
the North Rim visitor Center, and many guest cabins burned
to the ground. Visitor services along the North Rim are closed,
but the South Rim remains open. Planning is now under
way to rebuild visitor for facilities, including the Grand Canyon Lodge.

He suspect is being held after an early morning burglary
attempt at the Beverly Hills home of singer songwriter Lionel
Ritchie Scott Carr reports.

Police say this seventy six year old music legend was
home at the time, but no one was hurt and
nothing was taken. Police in Beverly Hills were called to
the home just after midnight Friday to check on a
report of a stranger on the property. Officers saying an
intruder entered the home but was scared off by security alarms.
After a search of the neighborhood, a suspect was arrested,

Labor Day weekend. Triple A says the national average for
a gallon of regulars should stay below last year's average
of three dollars and thirty three cents and should remain
relatively low for the rest of the summer as long
as Gulf Coast refineries are not hit by hurricanes. Air
flight should also be cheaper this holiday. Triple A says
