At least one top Democrat is voicing skepticism of the
Jelaine Maxwell interview. She's serving a twenty year sentence for
helping convicted sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein. On Friday, transcripts and
audio of her recent interview with US Justice Department lawyers
were released, and she claims she wasn't aware of any
Epstein client list and insisted she did not introduce Epstein

to underage girls. The ranking Democrat on the House Overside Committee,
Congressman Robert Garcia, responds on x by saying Maxwell was
desperate for a pardon and that her claims are insulting
to the girls and young women she victimized. The Texas
Senate has approved a new congressional map that gives the
Republican Party five more seats in the US House. The

Texas Tribune reports the map was adopted along party lines
early this morning over fierce Democratic opposition that accuses state
republic Pelicans of gerrymandering. President Trump had called for the
new map to increase the Republican majority in the House
ahead of next year's midterm elections. The White House is
now imposing tariffs on all foreign furniture within the next

administration will investigate furniture imports. The tax rate on imported
furniture has not yet been decided. Trump has imposed tariffs
ranging from fifteen to twenty percent on most foreign products.

A new study says racial and ethnic minorities suffer the
most from air pollution caused by US oil and gas companies.
The study, out Friday, said air pollutants are causing ninety
one thousand premature deaths and hundreds of thousands of health
issues every year. It says the group's being hit hardest
are Black, Asian, Native American, and Hispanic communities, and that

ninety percent of new childhood asthma cases are tied to
nitrogen dioxide pollution, while one in five pre term births
and early adult deaths are linked to find particulate pollution.
I'm Scott Carr. Colorado Governor Jared Polis is calling for
a coroner to resign after investigators say they found around
twenty bodies behind a hidden door inside a Mortuary. So far,

Pueblo County Sheriff Dave Lecero says Brian Cotter has ignored
the call.

At this time, mister Carter has not resigned. I think
it's important to understand that none of the county elected
officials nor the governor have the statutory authority to remove
the coroner.

Though Cotter has been suspended from operating Davis Mortuary in
Pueblo after the bodies were found during an annual inspection
this week. Agency inspectors say Cotter told them some of
the bodies may have been there for as many as
fifteen years. Lyele Menendez has been denied parole a parole
board in San Diego, making that decision last night, just
a day after his brother, Eric Menendez was also denied parole.

The Menendez brothers were resentenced three months ago to fifty
years to life for the nineteen eighty nine shotgun murders
of their parents. A reunion of the cast of Dawson's
Creek is coming to Broadway to help one of their
own and hopefully others as well. Andrew Whitman explains.

Scientists at the University of Virginia School of Medicine, in
cooperation with counterparts at the University of Michigan, say they've
developed a treatment for the deadly full body infection known
as sepsis. It involves using a monoclonal antibody that showed
promising results in initial testing. They say the treatment could
also be used on us other inflammatory conditions like autoimmune disorders.
