their cities. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth is firing the director
of the Defense Intelligence Agency. Scott Carr has more from Washington.

Several reports say Lieutenant General Jeffrey Cruz will no longer
serve as the director of the Pentagon's main intelligence wing.
The Washington Post reports the firing follows a preliminary assessment
from the agency in June of the US military strikes
against Iran, which prompted strong backlash from the Trump administration
after the report assessed Iran's nuclear capabilities had been set

A key global hunger monitor says the Northern Gaza Strip

starvation and malnutrition. Another million are facing emergency food shortages.

San Diego parole turned down Lyle Menendez's request for parole
last night, a day after his brother Eric was also denied.
