Now that a battle and the Texas legislature is over,
a new one begins. A federal lawsuit has been filed
challenging a new congressional map approved by the Texas Senate.
According to the Texas Tribune, the plaintiffs are alleging that
the new map, which is expected to give the GOP
five more seats in the US House, was drawn in

a way that is racially discriminatory. They also claim redrawing
congressional districts mid decade is unconstitutional. The map was adopted
early this morning on a party line. One person is
dead and four others are wounded following a shooting during
a basketball tournament in the Bronx. Jonathan O'Halloran has more.

Police say it happened just before seven thirty Saturday evening
inside half In Park in Baychester. The victims range from
seventeen to forty two years old. A thirty two year
old man were struck in the chest and later pronounce
IMP's dead. Police a four people were taken into custody
in relation to the shooting. The circumstances that led to
the gunfire remain unknown.

A disturbing trend is developing at professional sporting events. Rob

During Friday night's preseason game between the Tennessee Titans and
Minnesota Vikings, it happened again as an adult toy was
thrown onto the field near the six yard line with
just over five minutes left in the game. The teams
were on the field when the object was thrown. Social
media video shows someone on the field pick up the
neon green toy and hand it to security. The incident
in Nashville follows a string of similar occurrences at WNBA games.

In Florida, State Senator Joe Gruiders is now the chairman
of the Republican National Committee. Gruders was elected unanimously during
the GOP summer meeting in Atlanta. He's a longtime supporter

Gruder's leadership comes as the RNC holds a major cash advantage,

said Friday the shooting happened following a quote verbal altercation
between the two. Betison said video showed Green leaving the
hospital at about nine to fifty five am and driving
off in a Dodge Charger. Police arrested Green without incident

work at Libby Glass are now on strike. They're accusing
the Toledo company of unfair labor practices. Members overwhelmingly rejected
the company's latest contract offer earlier this month. They point
to inadequate pay, mandatory overtime that takes away from families,
losing union rights, and paying more for health insurance as
reasons for the no vote. The union says Libby left
