minister says there is no meeting plan between President Vladimir
Putin and Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky. In an interview with
NBC's Meet the Press, Sergei Lavrov said, while Russia is
prepared to meet, a major obstacle remains. Putin is ready

to meet with Zelenski when the agenda would be ready
for a summit, and this agenda is not rady at all.
His comments come after President Trump said he had sort
of set up a meeting between the two leaders. Trump
recently met with Zolensky and European leaders at the White House.
The president has been pushing for a peace deal to
end the three and a half year old war, starting

when Russia launched a massive invasion of its neighbor. House
Democratic leader Hakim Jeffreys is hinting at the possibility of
mobilizing redistricting efforts in more blue states. In an interview
with CNN State of the Union, Jeffries criticizes congressional maps
in Texas.

Jeffrey's comments come after the Texas Senate approved a new
congressional map that will likely give the GOP five more
seats in the House. Postal services around the world are
halting some deliveries to the US over confusion about new
import duties on parcels. Global mail carriers based in Britain, France,
and Germany are among those temporarily suspending shipments to the

US starting this week. President Trump signed an executive order
last month abolishing the trade loophole, which had allowed goods
valued at less than eight hundred dollars to enter the
US duty free. Under the new rules, personal gifts worth
less than one hundred dollars will be exempt, but all
other packages will face the same tariffs as imports from

pulling hundreds of millions of dollars in national institutes of
health grants linked to diversity initiatives after a Supreme Court
ruling Thursday. Michael Kassner reports.

The five to four decisions in part reverse to lower
court ruling that canceling the funds was illegal. Five of
the court's conservative justices ruled in favor of the administration,
accusing the lower court of defying an earlier Supreme Court
ruling that allowed the administration to cancel grants. Chief Justice

The governor of Illinois, is condemning a report that President
Trump is planning to send federal troops to the streets
of Chicago. The Washington Post reported Saturday that the Pentagon
has been planning a military deployment to Chicago for weeks,
and that a few thousand National Guard members could arrive
as soon as next month.

Illinois Governor J. B. Pritzker responded, saying that Trump is
quote attempting to manufacture a crisis and politicize Americans who
serve in uniform to distract from the pain he is
causing working families. Also in Chicago, tensions are high as
parents express their concerns about a transgender student who made
the girls volleyball team at Conat High School in Hoffman Estates.

Members of the public showed up to a school board
meeting for school District to eleven this week to voice
their opinions about the transgender student athlete.

Would you want your daughter to compete against a boy
who is six or four? Would you be happy if
a boy secured a spot on the team meant for
your daughter.

The meeting got so heated that police escorted a woman
in the audience from the room. The controversy comes after
President Trump signed an executive order earlier this year banning
transgender women from competing in female sports, and the hit
horror movie Weapons had reached the hundred million dollar mark
