In just four minutes, National Guard troops in Washington, d C.
Have begun carrying firearms as part of President Trump's crackdown
on crime. Meanwhile, Trump is turning his attention to Baltimore,
threatening to send troops to the city, amid reporting he
now wants to send federal troops to the streets of Chicago.

Chicago's Mayor Brandon Johnson the brave men and women who
signed up to serve our country do not sign up
to occupy American cities. The mayor released a statement saying
the city, state, and Cook County are preparing for any
potential unconstitutional military deployments to Chicago. Johnson says they're currently

evaluating all legal options to protect the people of Chicago.
He adds the city has reduced all forms of violent
crime through constitutional policing, violence prevention, and investing in our
communities as ordered. Kilmar Abrego Garcia Salvador, and migrant who
has been fighting deportation in court, reported to an Ice
Field office in Baltimore this morning, and as expected, he

was taken into ice custody ahead of his arrival. His
lawyer said it's expected he'll be sent to Uganda. They
claim the Trump administration offered to deport him to Costa
Rica if he pleaded guilty to human smuggling charges, but
if he didn't agree to the plea deal, they would
deport him to the African nation. There are more Legionnaire's
disease cases being reported in New York City, and the

new ones are not connected to the deadly outbreak in Harlem.

Health officials are telling NBC four there are now two
new cases that stem from bacteria in hot water infecting
two Bronx residents who share a condo building. This is
separate from the huge Legionaire's cluster in Harlem that has
resulted in six deaths and more than one hundred people
sick in this summer. Acting Health Commissioner doctor Michelle mooorse,
this is the time.

I'm Michael Kassner. Vice president jd Vance claims FBI raids
targeting former Trump National security advisor John Bolton weren't conducted

with NBC's Meet the Press, Vance said the investigation of
Bolton is in the early stages. What I can't tell
you is that, unlike the Biden DOOJ and the Biden FBI,

law and not by politics. He also said, while classified
records are part of the investigation, there's a broad concern
his words about Bolton. The former National Security Advisor became
a strong critic of President Trump after he left the
administration in twenty nineteen, and had previously been accused of

leaking classified material, but an investigation didn't go anywhere. Bolton
also served as US Ambassador to the United Nations under
President George wa The National Park Service says the North
Rim the Grand Canyon National Park will remain closed for

The closure follows the Dragon Bravo wildfire, which damaged or
destroyed about seventy structures in July. The historic Grand Canyon Lodge,
the North Rim Visitor Center, and many guest cabins burned
to the ground. Visitor services along the North Rim are closed,
but the South Rim remains open. Planning is now underway
to rebuild visitor facilities, including the Grand Canyon Lodge.
