wants murders in Washington, d C. To be punished with
the death penalty. While touting the National Guard intervention in DC,
Trump said, if anybody murders someone in the nation's capital,

they get capital punishment. He then called it a very
strong preventative measure. The Transportation Department is giving states thirty
days to enforce English language tests for truck drivers or
face losing federal funding. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy announced the
crackdown Tuesday. The move comes after an Indian immigrant truck

driver was charged with killing three people in a Florida
crash after making an illegal U turn. Wall Street is
closing slightly higher. Jonathan o'haleran has the details.

Investors largely shure golf President Trump's removal of Federal Reserve
Governor Lisa Cook from the Central Banks to Cook plans
to file a lawsuit, and the FED said today it
will abide by any court decision on the matter. At
the closing bell, the Dow Jones Industrial Average gaining one

S and P five hundred added twenty six points to

has been a sharp critic of Swift after she endorsed
Kamala Harris for president. Apple will hold a launch event
scheduled at its campus next month. The tech giant sent
invites to the media and analysts for the event, which

is being held on September ninth. Analysts expect Apple to
release a lineup of new phones, as well as new
Apple Watch models. Apple plans to stream the event on
its website. I'm Brian Shook. A man is facing charges
after burning an American flag near the White House. Michael
Cassner reports.

He was arrested by US Park Police on Monday night
in Lafayette Square, across from the White House. A video
posted online showed the man saying that he was a
combat veteran who was burning the flag in protest of
an executive order from President Trump. President signed an order
on Monday ordering a crackdown on flag burning. The man
was reportedly charged with a law that bans lighting fires

in a public park. The Supreme Court has twice affirmed
that burning the American flag as a form of political
protest is protected by the First Amendment. I'm Michael Cassner.

The California High Speed Rail Authority has revealed updated plans
for its rail lines set to connect major population centers.

Senator Dave Corti's chair of the Senate Transportation Mine, warns
that funding uncertainties could delay the project and continue to
raise the costs.

Plans for the troubled rail project I've been updated following
