Governor JB. Pritzker says there's no reason to send troops
to this city to fight crime, calling the move unconstitutional

and Unamerican. Speaking Monday, the governor also urged residents to
protest peacefully if troops are deployed. General Motors is recalling
over twenty three thousand Chevrolet Corvettes. The National Highway Traffic
Safety Administration says the vehicles were recalled because of a
fuel leak issue that increases the risk of a fire

during refueling. The recall effects Corvette models from years twenty
twenty three to twenty twenty five. Southwest Airlines is changing
its seating policy for larger customers, Tammy Treheo.

Reports, According to the Dallas based airlines. Larger passengers who
cannot be accommodated in a single plane seat will be
required to purchase a second seat ahead of time and
can then request a refund after the flight. Refunds can
only be issued if both seats were in the same
fair class, the refund request is made within ninety days,
and the plane would have taken off with at least
one extra open seat. The changes are part of Southwest

Venezuela is deploying some fifteen thousand troops to its border
with Columbia in a stated effort to fight drug trafficking.

The move comes as the United States has sent warships
to the region in an operation against drug cartels. The
Trump administration has accused Venezuelan President Nicholas Maduro of working
with the cartels and has issued a fifty million dollar
reward for Maduro's capture. Maduro is accusing the US of

Google is tightening security measures for app distributors. Google says
it will begin to verify the identities of developers who
distribute their apps on Android devices, both in and outside
the play Store. Google says this will help cut down
on bad actors who hired their identity to distribute malware.

Friday marks the twentieth anniversary of Hurricane Katrina making landfall
in Louisiana. Rory O'Neil reports.

Two decades later, Hurricane Katrina remains one of the most
devastating natural disasters in American history, killing over eighteen hundred people.
Most of those deaths were in New Orleans, particularly in
low lying areas like the Lower ninth Ward. After the
city's levy system collapsed. All told, Katrina caused an estimated
one hundred and twenty five billion dollars in damage in

to a shakeup at FEMA, an agency still under scrutiny today.

Researchers are cautiously optimistic about a possible connection between popular
weight loss drugs and a reduced cancer risk. A study
published in Jamma Oncology on the use of GLP one
drugs such as ozepic and Magovi showed the risk for
