Lawyers for Kilmar Abrego Garcia are seeking asylum for the
Salvadoran immigrant Tammy Treheo with more.

Speaker 3 (00:16):
Abrego Garcia's lawyers have filed an emergency motion to reopen
his case before an immigration judge to seek asylum in
the US. Abrego Garcia was living legally in Maryland when
he was accidentally deported back to l Salvador last March.
He was returned to US authorities and released from custody
on Friday. On Monday, though, Abrego Garcia was arrested again
and is now being threatened with deportation to Uganda. A

US district judge, however, is blocking customs officials from deporting him.

Federal Reserve Board Governor Lisa Cook is challenging her removal
by President Trump, Mark Mayfield reports.

Speaker 4 (00:52):
According to an attorney for Cook, Trump has no authority
to remove Cook and the firing lacks any factual or
legal basis. Cook's removal follows a Justice Department criminal investigation
into the Board governor after she was accused of making
false statements on whom mortgage applications by Federal Housing Finance
Agency Director Bill Poulte. If Cook does sue, the case
could end up being decided by the Supreme Court.

President Trump says he wants the death penalty for any
murders in Washington, d C.

Anybody murders something in the capitol, capital punishment, capital capital punishment.

Speaker 2 (01:28):
He made the comment while touting the National Guard intervention
in d C during his cabinet meeting on Tuesday. Trump
then called it a very strong preventative measure. Taylor Swift
and Travis Kelcey are engaged, and while the pair have
not release details of the wedding, experts say their nuptials
will be copied by couples around the country.

her friendship bracelets or whatever. It's a trend setter.

Speaker 2 (02:00):
Planner Tracy French predicts that Swiss bridal gown will instantly
be a best seller. I'm Michael Kassner. Some of New
York's top politicians, including Governor Kathy Hokeel and New York
City Mayor Eric Adams, are reacting to President Trump's cashless
bail order. More from Sarah Lee Kessler.

Trump is threatening to withhold federal funding to cities and
states that don't end cashless bail. That would apply to
New York, which passed bill reform laws back in twenty nineteen.

But Governor Kathy Hochel says she since changed the law
allowing judges more discretion to keep dangerous suspects locked up.

Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Junior is set to announce
what he says are the causes of autism by September.

More Ken previously vowed to find the cause of growing
rates of autism, calling it an epidemic that dwarfs the
COVID epidemic. The HHS secretary discussed his intentions to reveal
the causes of autism during a cabinet meeting held by
President Trump on Tuesday. Kennedy has long claimed that environmental
factors or vaccines are likely culprits behind the rising rate

Scissors Day.
