Minneapolis police are responding to an active shooter situation at
a Catholic school. Caro Levin says there are reports of
a large number of victims, including children. The City of
Minneapolis posted on x that the shooter has been contained.
It happened at the Annunciation Catholic School in the south
side of the city. Caro Levin reports people connected to
the school said there was an all school mass at

eight point fifteen in the church this morning, the same
time as the shooting. The school teaches preschool to eighth grade.
India is being hit with fifty percent terraces from the

The Conference Boards consumer Confidence index fell by more than
a point from the July reading, as consumers became less
optimistic about the economy. The monthly survey noted concerns about
tariffs and higher prices, including food and groceries rose again
in August. Purchasing plans for homes remained stable, while discretionary
spending for dining out, entertainment, and vacations were all down.
