There are reportedly multiple victims after a gunman opened fire
at a Catholic church and school in Minneapolis. The gunman
is reportedly dead. President Trump says he's been briefed on
the shooting. Cara Levin says the victims include children. The
shooting happened at the Annunciation Catholic Church in the south
side of the city. Parents are being reunited with their children.
Governor Tim Walls says he's been briefed on the shooting

and added he's praying for the kids and teachers. Federal
Reserve Board Governor Lisa Cook is moving to file a
lawsuit challenging her removal by President Trump andb SES. Peter
Alexander reports the President discussed the move during his cabinet
meeting yesterday. The President, indicating he wants to fill the
board with allies.

The FED determines interest rates that affect Americans' finances. President
Trump wants them lowered, believing it would spur the economy

An attorney for Book says that Trump has no authority
to remove her, and that the firing lacks any factual
or legal basis. Cook's removal follows a Justice Department criminal
investigation into the Board governor after she was accused of
making false statements on home mortgage applications. If Cook does sue,
the case could end up being decided by the Supreme Court.

on imports from India went into effect today. The US
and India have yet to reach a trade agreement, and
President Trump has been insisting that India stopped buying Russian
oil while negotiations are underway to end the war in Ukraine.

that the US was applying aggressive economic leverage on India

Hurricane Katrina is Friday. It made landfall on the US

Consumer confidence dipped in August. More from Matt Mattinson.

The Conference Boards consumer Confidence index fell by more than
a point from the July reading as consumers became less
optimistic about the economy. The monthly survey noted concerns about
tariffs and higher prices including food and groceries rose again
in August. Purchasing plans for homes remained stable, while discretionary
spending for dining out, entertainment, and vacations were all down.

JM Smucker is issuing a national recall for the beloved
chocolate snacks that come in two count, ten count, and
sixteen count packages with the best by date between August
thirtieth and September third. The company says, donat those ding
dongs because you could be ingesting micotoxins if you bought them.
Throw them out or return them for a full refund.

General Motors has issued a recall for over twenty three
thousand Chevrolet Corvettes due to a fuelly risks that could
lead to fire while refueling. The recall affects twenty twenty
