The hearing is being held on Lisa Cook's removal by
President Trump as a Federal Reserve governor. It follows a
Justice Department criminal investigation into the board governor after she
was accused of making false statements on home mortgage applications.
Cook's lawyer said Trump has no authority to remove Cook.
White House Press Secretary Caroline Levitt defended the move.

one hundred miles across Arizona had quite an impact on

Arizona's two largest utilities reported losing almost sixteen hundred megawatts
of solar energy generation as the skies blackened during the
height of the storm. They say that loss is enough
juice to power roughly three hundred fifty thousand homes during
peak hours. Both utilities relied on natural gas resources, which
came online quickly to compensate for the loss of the

solar output. The utilities say this shows how the state's
diverse mix of energy resources allowed the grid to remain
reliable and keep the power flowing.

A lawsuit against Sean Diddy Combs for a sex assault
is dismissed by a New York judge because it allegedly
happened too long ago. Sarah Lee Kessler reports.

The suit, filed by a California man allegacy was drugged
and assaulted by Combs back in twenty fiftheen he filed
in New York, where rule was changed in twenty nineteen,
extending the five year statute of limitations to twenty years,
but the judge has thrown out the suit, ruling the
law isn't retroactive to twenty fifteen. The rap star has

been hit with about eighty sex assault suits dating back
to the nineteen nineties. Did He is currently jailed in
New York City, awaiting sentencing on prostitution related charges after
he was acquitted of more serious sex trafficking charges. I'm

There's been another death from Legionnaire's disease in New York City.

Word of the seventh death from the disease, all in Harlem,
came from city health officials late Thursday. It was a
known case, one of one hundred forty four in Harlem.
So far, six people are still in hospitals because of it.
The death comes days after word of two unrelated cases,
both in the same building in the Bronx. Legionnaire's disease

is caused by bacteria that's been found in Harlem cooling towers.
