A federal appeals court says President Trump overstepped his presidential
powers when he issued an array of tariffs earlier this year.
The court ruled Friday, Trump misused his authority when he
used emergency powers to issue tariffs on a number of
US trading partners. The court ruled only Congress has the
authority to issue such measures. Despite the ruling, the tariffs
will be allowed to stay in place as the case proceeds.
