US activists anticipate hundreds of thousands will be spending their
Labor Day weekend advocating for workers' benefits and protesting President
Trump's MAGA agenda. In a statement to The Hill, the
group May Day Strong shares that more than one thousand
workers over Billionaires events have been confirmed for the weekend.
Organizers say billionaires are stealing from working US families, destroying

our democracy, and building private armies to attack our towns
and cities. Events range from picnics to marches and are
planned in all fifty states. Police in Minneapolis are still
searching for a motive after this week's deadly shooting at
a Catholic school, leaving two children dead nearly twenty others
injured when a former student of the school, Robin Westman,

started shooting through the windows of the church Wednesday. After
the attack, Westman committed suicide. As Israel intensive its efforts
to seize Gaza City, Blake Sifton reports from the region.
Israeli officials have now declared Gaza City at dangerous combat
zone as it prepares for an all out offensive.

The Israeli military says it is halting daily pauses in
fighting in Gaza City and has declared it a dangerous
combat zone. The pauses were put in place by the
Israeli military in recent weeks following pressure by the international
community to get more food into Gaza, and saw a
fighting stop for ten hours daily to allow for the
distribution of aid. Meanwhile, the Israeli government has announced that

the bodies of two hostages held in Gaza have been
recovered by the military. There are now forty eight Israeli
hostages remaining in Gaza, twenty of whom are believed to

Aviv As Public Schools in Beverly Hills, California will not
be displaying the Israeli flag on campus next May. That
announcement from the district's superintendent after the board had voted
in favor of displaying Israeli flags during the month of
May in honor of ju Uish American Heritage Month. The

Kamala Harris is losing Secret Service protection but gaining a
California Highway patrol detail.

Typically former vps received six months of Secret Service protection
after leaving office, but President Trump revoked her protection. A
growing number of so called sanctuary cities in the US
can expect the Trump administration will be sending federal immigration
agents and possibly National Guard troops into their communities. That
include Chicago and Los Angeles, where reporter Jim Roop is.

White House Borders our Tom Holman says operations will be
wrapping up, but did not provide details. Those comments were
made just before another operation at a home depoh in
Westlake Thursday morning. Similar operations have been carried out since
early June. Homeland Security Secretary Christy Nome wrote on social
media that these operations have netted five thousand criminal illegal aliens,

As California Congressman John Garrimandi Warren's federal budget cuts are
going to harm local hospitals and patients. Appointing to President
Trump so called Big Beautiful Bill, he says, will potentially
weaken healthcare systems and hinder responses to future health crises.

How will we deal with the next pandemic, the next
COVID vaccinations. All of those things are at risk. It's
time for America to really be aware of what is
happening and to push back.

The bill cuts funding to Medicaid and other health programs.
The Contra Costa County Supervisor John Joyas's people there will
be waiting longer to get appointments and medical care. It
also means greater use of our emergency rooms, which affects everybody.
