A US district judge says the deployment of National Guard
troops to Los Angeles violated federal law. President Trump deployed
the troops in response to protests against his immigration operations
in the city. Judge Charles Bryer said, while individuals engaged
in violence during the protests, there was no rebellion, nor
was civilian law enforcement unable to respond to the protests

and enforce the law. The judges ruling bars the use
of troops in California to execute the laws. However, the
ruling is paused pending further legal action. ICE agents could

the House and Senate to pass a continuing resolution that

Wall Street is opening with stocks lower this morning. This
comes after a federal appeals court rule Friday that most

California's Social Media Warning Law aumes to tackle social media
addiction by requiring platforms to display a warning message daily
and every hour after three hours of use. Warnings would
display for ten seconds for all users, but for those
under eighteen the warning would last ninety seconds and can't
be skipped. Nearly ninety five percent of teens between thirteen
and seventeen use social media. The tech industry opposes the proposal,

Costco's perk to executive members is angering some gold Star members.

Costco is opening at nine am weekdays and Sundays at
nine thirty am on Saturdays for executive members. During a
grace period, gold Star members have been allowed to enter early,
but that ended September first. Now only executive members get
early entry, and some gold Star members say that's favoritism.
The executive membership cost twice as much, one hundred and
thirty dollars a year.
