In just four minutes, the superintendent to the largest public
school district in Iowa has been detained by ICE. Jim
Forbes has more.

Students and community members rallied in support of Des Moines
superintendent doctor Ian Roberts on Friday. Officials say Roberts is
an illegal immigrant with no work authorization and a criminal record.

When agents approached, they say he took off in his car,
and when they caught him, Ian Roberts allegedly was in
possession of a loaded handgun, a hunting knife, and three
thousand dollars in cash. Roberts was born in Guyana and
came to the US on a student visa in nineteen
ninety nine. He became head of Des Moines Public Schools
in twenty twenty three.

Attorney General Pam Bondi says she's sending federal agents from
the Department of Justice to ICE facilities to protect immigration officers.
In a post Friday, Bondi said she's sending the Department
agents wherever ICE comes under siege, and is also instructing
Joint Terrorism task Forces across the US to investigate all
entities and individuals engaged in acts of domestic terrorism, including

repeated acts of violence and obstruction against federal agents. Report
says hundreds of US admirals and generals who were ordered
to a meeting in Virginia next week will hear a
rally the Troops message. The New York Times says Defense
Secretary Pete Hegseth will deliver a message based on his

Howard Rubin, a one time money manager who made millions

Friday in Connecticut. He is charged with sex trafficking and
transporting women across state lines for commercial sex acts. Prosecutors

participating in lurid sex acts at various hotels and even

If convicted, he could face anywhere from a minimum of
