President Trump is condemning the deadly church shooting in Michigan Sunday.
In a post on True Social Trump called the shooting
another apparent, in his words, targeted attack on Christians in
the US. The president said he's been briefed on the
attack that left at least five people dead, including the gunman,
Lisa Carton with more.

It happened in the city of Grand Blanc. Davidson Township
Police Chief Jayrendon describes the scene.

God here, the church was on fire, the gunman was down,
and it's just been it's been a very busy, busy
scene as you can imagine.

Speaker 4 (00:42):
Gron Blanc is a small community about fifty miles north
of Detroit. Police Chief William Rain he drove his vehicle
through the front doors of the church. He then exited
his vehicle, firing savor rounds individuals within a church. The
forty year old shooter is deceased after he was engaged
by two officers. I'm Lisa Carton.

The State of Oregon and the city of Portland are
suing the Trump administration to stop the deployment of National
Guard troops to Portland. It asks of Federal Court in
Portland to halt the troop deployment and to rule the
action unlawful. Oregon Senator Jeff Merkley says the troops are
a distraction.

Trump is using nice to sew fear and chaos.

Speaker 3 (01:26):
Trump authorized two hundred members of the Oregon National Guard
to perform federal functions for sixty days. That includes protecting
federal property where protests are occurring or are likely to occur.
Oregon Governor Tina Cotex says she told Trump there's no
insurrection or threat to public safety that needs military intervention.

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer says serious negotiations need to
take place when the President meets with congressional leaders in
order to avoid a shutdown. He appeared on Meet the Press,
but the fundamental question hasn't been answered yet, and we'll
see on Monday. Are they serious about negotiating with us

meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White
House today. Tony Waterman reports a meeting comes just days
after Netanyahu told the UN General Assembly that Israel would
keep up the fight in Gaza until Hamas was completely destroyed.

Trump increasingly has been putting pressure on netn Yahoo to
bring this war to an end. Trump has imaged himself
as a peacemaker. He wants to bring this war to
an end as soon as possible.

This will be President Trump's fourth face to face with
Netanyahu since January. New York City Mayor Eric Adams is
throwing in the towel on his bid for reelection. More
