The FBI is leading the investigation into yesterday's deadly attack
on a Michigan church. Adrian Broadus reports that happened in
Grand Blank, about fifty miles north of Detroit, during his
Sunday morning service.

Speaker 4 (00:21):
Authority say, a forty year old man drove his vehicle
through the front doors of a church of Jesus Christ
of Latter day Saints, Dan fired an assault rifle injuring
multiple people, killing at least four please say.

Speaker 3 (00:36):
The former marine, identified as Thomas Jacob Sandford, then set
a fire inside the church before being fatally shot by
a responding officer in the parking lot. Investigators are working
to determine a possible motive. The man accused of assassinating
conservative activist Charlie Kirk is set to appear virtually at
his hearing in Utah today. Utah County Attorney Jeff Gray

formally charged Tyler Robinson with aggravated murder on September sixteenth,
making the twenty two year old eligible for death if
found guilty. The Trump administration is being sued by the
state of Oregon and the city of Portland in an
attempt to block the deployment of National Guard troops to Portland.
President Trump says he's sending the troops there to protect

the city and ice facilities from domestic terrorists. Tammy Treheo

Oregon Senator Jeff Murkley says the troops are a distraction.

Trump is using nice to sew fear and chaos.

Trump authorized two hundred members of the Oregon National Guard
to perform federal functions for sixty days. That includes protecting
federal property where protests are occurring or are likely to occur.
Oregon Governor Tina Kotec says she told Trump there is
no insurrection or threat to public safety that needs military intervention.

Still another mass shooting over the weekend. This went outside
a waterfront restaurant in Brunswick County, North Carolina. It's left
three people dead in five others injured. The suspect is
scheduled to make his first court appearance today. I'm Michael Kassner.
President Trump will meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu
at the White House today. Tony Waterman reports a meeting

comes just days after Netanyahu told the UN General Assembly
that Israel would keep up the fight in Gaza until
Hamas was completely destroyed.

Trump increasingly has been putting pressure on Netan Yahoo to
bring this war to an end. Trump has imaged himself
as a peacemaker. He wants to bring this war to
an end as soon as possible.

This will be President Trump's fourth face to face with
Netanyahu since January. New York City Mayor Eric Adams is
