are set to vote later on a Republican back measure
that would reopen the federal government. It comes as there's
been little sign of progress towards funding the government, with
both sides of the aisles seemingly dug in.

Democrats are also meeting today to discuss how to move forward.
Israel plans to keep pressuring Hamas until all the bodies
of dead Israeli hostages are returned. All twenty living hostages
were returned yesterday as part of a US backed ceasefire deal,
but the Palestinian militant group only returned four of the
twenty eight dead hostages, sparking anger among Israelis. The Israeli

government's hostage coordinator insists the mission is not complete until
all of the hostages are back. The Red Cross says
returning all the bodies is a massive challenge and it
could take days or weeks to find remains in the
rubble of Gaza. The Supreme Court has dealt a heavy
legal blow to conservative media personality Alex Jones. Michael Kashner reports.

The Supreme Court is turning down an attempt by Jones
to block a one point five billion dollar defamation judgment
against him. The conspiracy theorist was hit with the massive
judgment over his false claims that the twenty twelve Sandy
Hooks school shooting was a hoax. The parents of the
child victim secured the judgment. The Court made no comment
when rejecting the appeal of the state court ruling. I'm

Brinkley Hill has received a spot on Delaware's historical map.
The location is where brothers William and Nathaniel Brinkley would

meet runaway slaves, including Harriet Tubman, and transport them as
part of the underground railroad. They're credited with helping over
one hundred enslaved individuals. The sign commemorates the history of
Brinkley Hill. In the early nineteenth century, the spot emerged
as one of Delaware's earliest free black settlements and a
beacon for freedom seekers traveling north. No injuries for either
Alec Baldwin or his brother Stephen after a car accident

Alec Baldwin was driving in East Hampton Monday afternoon, he
said in a video when he claims a garbage truck
cut him off, forcing him to crash into a tree.
The garbage truck company denies any fault. The Baldwins were
there for the Hamptons International Film Festival. Video shows the
brothers talking with police. Baldwin thanked them in the video.

Police in Clearwater, Florida are credited with wrangling an unusual suspect.
Over the weekend, a five foot Boa Constrictor. Officers were
called out after someone spotted the snake camped out on
a car hood. A sergeant used a snake hook to
safely capture the reptile, which appeared to be dehydrated. He
was taken to a local pet store in hopes of
finding it a proper home. October baseball pushes on as

both the league championship series are now underway. Yesterday, the
Mariners blue out the Blue Jays in Toronto ten three
and are now heading back home with a commanding two
O lead. Game three will be tomorrow in Seattle. Meantime,
in the NLCS, the defending champion LA Dodgers edged the
Brewers in Milwaukee Monday two to one in Game one
behind a great pitching performance by Blake Snell. Game two

is today. Week six of the NFL season wrapped up
last evening with a Monday night doubleheader. The Falcons shocked
the Bills twenty four to fourteen in Atlanta to open
the night. The Bears wrapped up the week by walking
off with a twenty five to twenty four victory over
the Commanders. Week seven will kick off Thursday, night in Cincinnati, Mandy,
with the two and four Bengals hosting the four and
