Vermont State Senator Sam Douglas announced his resignation Friday after
Republican Governor Phil Scott called for him to step down.
That now infamous Young Republicans group chat was filled with
racist and anti Semitic remarks, including a remark from Douglas
himself suggesting that people of Indian heritage don't bathe often.
Douglas says his decision to resign will upset many and

President Trump says a US will repatriate the survivors of
Thursday's vote strike in the Caribbean. In a post on
truth Social Trump said the administration will send the two
survivors to their home countries, Ecuador and Columbia, for detention
and prosecution. The survivors were taken into US US custody
after the strike and what Trump says was a submarine.
