is being swept up in an FBI gambling probe. FBI
director Cash Pattel says investigators uncovered on illegal gambling operation
as well as a sports betting rigging scheme. Miami Heat

are accused of using inside information to make wagers on games,
while Portland Trail Blazer's head coach Chauncey Billips was arrested
in connection with a poker scheme involving New York mafia families.
Dozens of other people were arrested in today's operation. Billips
is set to appear in court later today. Israel could
lose US support if it moves to annexed territory in

President Trump told Time magazine that it won't happen, but
asserted Israel would lose support from its American ally if
the Israeli government does proceed with annexation efforts. Secretary of
State Marco Rubio has also doubled down on rejecting plans
for annexation, as he noted before traveling to Israel that
it would threaten the US mediated ceasefire between Israel and Hamas.

The Senate has voted down a GOP bill that would
have paid some federal workers deemed essential during the government shutdown.
The bill that would pay air traffic controllers, military members,
border patrol agents, and others failed by a vote of
fifty four to forty five along party lines. The shutdown
is now in its twenty third day. The White House
warns the shutdown could impact holiday travel in the US

if it continues. White House spokesperson Caroline Levitt cited several
instances of airport ground delays and stops, and a warning
from the FAA about the growing number of staffing shortages.
The Democrats clearly don't care about this suffering. They care
about playing political games against President Trump, and this dangerous
