latest use this hour in just four minutes. At least
half of all US states planned to cut off food
assistance benefits November first because of the ongoing US government shutdown.
Now in day twenty three, and as Monica Nelson reports
that loss of assistance will affect.

Millions, some twenty five states are sending out notices to
people on the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program or SNAP that
the checks won't be coming next month, including California, Alabama, Arkansas, Hawaii, Indiana, Massachusetts, Mississippi,
and New Jersey.

The east wing of the White House is being demolished
to make room for President Trump's new ninety thousand square
foot ballroom. Trump downplays the significance of tearing down the
historic structure that held the First Lady's office, calling it
small and never thought as being much. Trump now says
that construction will cost three hundred million dollars, up from
a two hundred million dollar estimate he gave in July.

who break California law during immigration raids. This after the
Trump administration said it would send over one hundred immigration

with private weekly jobs data reports say the company stops
sharing the info back before the current government shutdown. ADP
says it's actively working with the FED now to make
sure the information it shares is in line with its
rigorous standards. California Governor Gavin Newsom says you'll take President

Trump to court if National Guard troops are sent into
San Francisco. Trump has already sent troops to several cities
across the nation and has said several times San Francisco
is next, calling the city a mess. Attorney General for
the state Rob Bonta says the state will file suit
if Trump moves in.

The precursor to the National Guard is likely going to
be Customs and Border Patrol and ICE agents, just as
we've seen in Los Angeles and Chicago, and I think
that presents a much greater challenge for US.

Governor Gavin Newsom assigned Senate Bill two sixty one. It
imposes tougher penalties on employers who ignore court orders to
pay their workers. Beginning January first, Companies that fail to
comply within one hundred and eighty days could face fines
up to three times the unpaid amount plus interest. The
new law also guarantees attorney fee coverage and blocks businesses
from dodging debts by shutting down.
