would pay air traffic controllers, military members, border patrol agents,

as some have said that the White House shouldn't get
to choose which employees are considered essential and which aren't.
A strike that would have shut down many Broadway musicals
has been averted. NBC's Emily Akda reports musicians had been

reached a tentative deal with the Broadway League, which is
the union that represents theater owners and producers, and truly

health funds. Union president Bob Suttman released a statement saying,
in part, this three year agreement provides meaningful wage and
