US military might is now on a new mission in
the fight against drugs. The Navy's largest aircraft carrier is
headed to the Caribbean as strikes on drug boats continue.
The Pentagon said Secretary of War Pete Hegseth ordered the
USS Gerald R Ford to the Caribbean to help quote
dismantled transnational criminal organizations and counter narco terrorism and defense

of the homeland. This comes as the US carried out
an overnight strike on an alleged trend Dale ROGWA drug
boat that killed all six people on board. The Navy
says the carrier strike group will also include five guided
missile destroyers. The Trump administration is pushing back on reports

already calling the project the President that Donald J. Trump Ballroom,
and that the name will likely stick. The three hundred

Filipina TikToker Emmanuel Amman Atienza died in her Los Angeles
home this week. Her family confirmed her death on Thursday night.
Multiple media outlets report the Eelli County Medical Examiner has
confirmed the cause of death as suicide. Atienza has more
than nine hundred and thirty five thousand TikTok followers, and
each of her recent posts have millions of views. She
was the daughter of Filipino television presenter Alejandro Kim Illegan Atienza,

also known as Kulia Kim, and his wife Felicia Hung Atienza,
a celebrity entrepreneur in health and well being advocate, I'm

And that Trump administration is imposing direct sanctions on Columbian
President Gustafo Petro. President Trump levied the sanctions on Petro
as well as members of his family, which could further

Meteorologists say there's a reason why hurricanes have so far

avoided the US mainland this season. Tropical Storm Melissa is
expected to become a powerful hurricane over the weekend as
it lashes out at Haiti and other parts of the Caribbean,
and like many before it this hurricane season, it's expected
to steer clear of the US. Experts say it's because
the high pressure system behind the steering mechanism for the

storms is weak this season. It also has to do
with the storms forming farther east of the US. There's
a proposal in California that would place a new tax
on its richest residence. Sharon Reardon has more.

The California Billionaire Tax Act would impose a one time,
five percent tax on the total wealth of residents worth
over one billion dollars. The goal is to raise one
hundred billion dollars to address funding gaps from federal budget cuts.
Proponents claim ninety percent of the revenue would support medical
with the rest going to public schools. Supporters will need
to collect eight hundred and seventy five thousand VALLID signatures

The American Heart Association is out with an update to
its CPR guidelines for the first time in years. Experts
say the new update to the life saving technique reflects
a troubling reality in the US, the growing opioid epidemic.
The new guidelines offer ways of recognizing opioid overdose and
how to administer the drug neloxone to reverse its effects.

The update was released to groups like the American Red
Cross and the film chainsaw Man. The movie is off
to a great start at the box office this weekend.
It made three point four million dollars from Thursday previews
last night and is expected to bring in between eleven
and fifteen million dollars in its debut. Elsewhere, Springsteen Delivering
