Governor Gavin Newsom has declared a state of emergency for
several southern California cities as the region gets pounded with
heavy rain. Millions in the state are under some sort
of floodwatch as torrential rains drenched the region. Evacuation warnings
have been issued for some areas, including San Bernardino Mountain

communities about seventy five miles northeast of Los Angeles. San
Bernardino County Fire has reported swift water rescues as well.
It's crunch time for travelers trying to reach their destination
in time for Christmas. Triple A says the roads and
skies will be packed, but this holiday travel period is

and flows. Airports in Boston, New York, and Los Angeles
are experiencing the heaviest delays today due to weather. Saint
Patrick's Cathedral in New York will be packed tonight as
Cardinal Timothy Dolan celebrates his final midnight Christmas Mass at

swearing can improve physical performance. Psychologist and lead researcher doctor
Richard Stevens of Keel University says, while swearing is generally
frowned upon in polite society, it helps people feel less distracted,
more focused, and self confidence. A study was published in
the journal American Psychologist. I'm Rob Martyer. Holiday shoppers are

rushing to purchase last minute gifts. Natalie Migliori has more.

Some people may wait until the last minute for gifting fines,
but those who have their presence already wrapped in under
the tree have helped MasterCard figure out spending habits this year.
The company found shoppers spent three point nine percent more
between November one and December twenty first this year compared
to last comparing prices in store and online. Several reports

show shoppers took advantage of Black Friday and Cyber Monday,
with two hundred million people shopping that weekend alone.

Santa Claus came early this year to one Texas grocery
store in the form of a computer glitch. On Monday morning,
the h EB and Burlson had a problem that shut
down all the cash registers. A store representative told customers
what was going on and thanked them for their patients.
She then told them to take the items in their
carts and have a merry Christmas. It took a moment,
but customers soon realized she meant they were getting free groceries.

A Virginia family is suing Delta and KLM Royal Dutch
Airlines over bedbugs. The family filed a complaint on December eighteenth,
the ledging they were bitten and injured by bedbugs that
had infected the cabin of a flight they took earlier
this year. The family is seeking compensatory damages of at
