The 3-on-3 Big 3—Chris, Terrika, and Sharí—are back to do a deep dive into the Olympic Games. Team USA Men's and Women's basketball teams brought home gold, but our hosts had a spirited discussion on whether or not it was enough. Team USA has spoiled fans over the years by dominating other countries, but this year looked a little different. Serbia and France took the men down to the wire, and for the women, the gold medal game came down to the final shot. Sharí was not pleased with that.

Sharí then teed up the crew to preview the 2028 Olympics set to take place in Los Angeles. Terrika made predictions on which members of the Team USA men's basketball team would return and shared her belief that Ja Morant has a place on the roster. Meanwhile, Sharí was more concerned about who would step up for the women's team with Diana Taurasi retiring and other players likely not returning. Chris reassured everyone that the young talent in the WNBA, like Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese, would replace the veteran talent, especially with their opportunity to develop over the next four years.

Dearica Hamby dominated headlines directly after the Olympic break when she announced that she had filed a lawsuit against the WNBA and her former team, the Las Vegas Aces. In the signature Jump Ball segment, the crew defends why Dearica is well within her rights to claim discrimination, expressing hope that this will inspire change across leagues for more protections for athletes dealing with pregnancies so they don't lose their livelihoods.

Happy birthday to the one and only, Terrika Foster-Brasby!

Speaker 1 (00:08):
What's going on?

Speaker 2 (00:09):
Three or three family?

Speaker 3 (00:10):
We are back for another amazing summer special episode. Of course,
I'm just one member of the Big Three, Chris Williampton.
If you don't already know who I am. I'm joined
by my talented co host Terreka Foster Brasby, and Charie
Nicole and Tarika.

Speaker 2 (00:27):
I've been waiting for this.

Speaker 4 (00:32):
First of all, it feels like it's been forever since
we've all three been on the show together. But so
I'm not only am I excited about us like being
back as a family, but this show is gonna be
really dope because we're actually gonna take a little bit
of a deep dive into what we probably can categorize
as some of the best basketball we've seen all year.

Speaker 1 (00:54):
And yes we're talking about the Olympics, Schari, we are.

Speaker 5 (00:58):
Talking about the Olympics. But but don't get upset with me. Okay,
best basketball on the men's side. On the women's side,
they my pressure went up and he pulled it through.
But I was not But I was not impressed most
of the time, I will say that.

Speaker 6 (01:11):
But but God is good and we got to go medal.

Speaker 5 (01:13):
Yes, you all mean to tell me you were impressed overall.

Speaker 1 (01:20):
Well impressed.

Speaker 4 (01:21):
Impressed versus best basketball ain't necessarily the same.

Speaker 6 (01:25):
Okay, so best basketball from who?

Speaker 1 (01:28):
That's me as I don't see. I ain't even meaning players.
I just mean like entertainment, you know what.

Speaker 5 (01:35):
I'm bitter because I'm thinking about the gold medal game.
Let me go in retrospect and think about the entirety.

Speaker 6 (01:40):
Of the games.

Speaker 5 (01:41):
Yes, correct, there, you are correct. I'm sorry that just
that game really took me out of here. But I'm
glad we did it. So yeah, I'm sorry. That's on me,
you all, that's on me.

Speaker 2 (01:51):
That's all right.

Speaker 4 (01:52):
Look, sure we own something. You know, she ain't want
to make them predictions. But I ain't going there.

Speaker 1 (01:56):
I know that.

Speaker 5 (01:58):
Come on, why do we have to back as we've
gotten together, as you just acknowledged, we haven't been together
for quite some time, and now you want to backtrack
and live in the past.

Speaker 6 (02:07):
I ain't going back to Rika. I see you, okay,
I raised you one, I got you.

Speaker 1 (02:13):
Hey.

Speaker 3 (02:13):
Yeah, but we were about to get into it all,
you know, Gabrie Williams almost spoiling or almost taking us
to you know, over time and preventing an eighth straight
gold medal, and then we're gonna talk about the dramatic endings,
some favorite moments from Team USA, and of course preview
the LA games in twenty twenty eight.

Speaker 2 (02:32):
Right after this break.

Speaker 3 (02:38):
Team USA men's basketball gave us an experience of a
lifetime and a lot of people thought that we would
just handedly beat the French.

Speaker 2 (02:54):
Well Victor Wibin.

Speaker 3 (02:55):
Yama Gershwan, Yabucelli, Evanner, Yeah, they came to play in.

Speaker 4 (03:04):
Their Who thought we were gonna handily beat the French?

Speaker 3 (03:08):
I think a lot of I think a lot of
people for the men's side, they thought probably like fifteen
to twenty points.

Speaker 5 (03:14):
Basketball people that know basketball.

Speaker 3 (03:18):
People, because here's the thing they were thinking about how
the front court, right, that was an issue that was
going to be a textase on the.

Speaker 2 (03:28):
With the guard play. They didn't have anything to match that.

Speaker 3 (03:32):
However, as we saw, you cannot judge games based on paper.

Speaker 6 (03:39):
And what you expect. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (03:41):
No, I thought they probably win by ten.

Speaker 3 (03:43):
Or something, right, And it took a superhuman performance from
Stephen Curry four threes in the last few minutes, crazy
to eny your USA would be bringing home their fifth
straight gold medal. You had Carmelo Anthony in the house

(04:06):
to Carrie Richardson, Dirk Novichki, Pal Gasol. I mean, Draymond
Green even showed up. I think he was showing up
to hey watch you know what I'm saying in the final.
But how significant was it, Suarie that they won on

(04:29):
August tenth, twenty twenty four. We look at those numbers,
eight ten twenty four. Those are Kobe's numbers from the
Lakers in the Olympics. Or do you feel like that
was like maybe overplayed.

Speaker 6 (04:41):
No, I think it was well played.

Speaker 5 (04:43):
And I am I'm a fan of the stars aligning
on all levels, and so to me, it just added
an even more in large sense of excitement around this
game and also pride for Team USA. I mean, if
I'm Lebron James and I'm knowing that these dates line
up in this way, I'm going to play even harder.

Speaker 6 (05:03):
I'm going to ensure that we don't lose.

Speaker 5 (05:05):
This is Kobe's day and everything that he meant on
a global level when it comes to basketball, especially when
it came to the Olympics. That's a huge that was
a huge significant piece. So I'm shout out to all
the media outlets that really drove that point home. I
thought it was great and it's another way for us
to remember Kobe. Like I don't know about you all,
but it still doesn't really resonate with me that he's gone.
So the league's you know, the league's desire to keep

(05:27):
him relevant as much as possible in the world's as well.
I thought that was a huge thing. And just overall,
you know, I mean, I expected a competitive game. I
did not expect it to be as down to the
wire as it was, but I did expect it to be,
you know, a relatively competitive game.

Speaker 6 (05:43):
I'm grateful for what we got.

Speaker 5 (05:45):
Steph gave us one of the best performances and arguably
the best performance we've ever seen on the Olympic stage
on the men's side when it comes to basketball, and
to watch him rise to the occasion like that, it
just speaks so much to how great he really is.
And I think, you know, the lack of success at
the worry his experience, especially this past season, sometimes that
got over his greatness got overshadowed a bit by how
well they didn't do. And so for him to be

(06:07):
able to get this opportunity and to prove once again
why he's that dude.

Speaker 6 (06:12):
I was just thoroughly impressed.

Speaker 5 (06:13):
So I'm you know, I think this was a well
as simple team overall. There have been some you know,
snub comments and that are justified in some ways, but
I think Steve Current is to have an incredible job,
and shout out to Grant Hill for really assembling a
roster that was ready and set for this type of
a stage. And I think people need to understand the
Olympic roster is different than your NBA roster. And you know,

(06:35):
we saw some social media complaints and even you know,
I hate to hate to say this because Jason Tatum,
you know, I love him, but his mind being on
Twitter doing that talking about his playing time inappropriate, Like
this is a different type of basketball.

Speaker 6 (06:48):
So it was really great to see them dig deep.

Speaker 5 (06:50):
Also great to see Lebron James obviously be Lebron James
and be the leader that.

Speaker 6 (06:53):
We all know him to be.

Speaker 5 (06:54):
I'm not the biggest Lebron James fan outside of his game,
but I will say to watch him dig deep. Pulled
them out of some really steep trenches at certain points
in time.

Speaker 6 (07:03):
I was very impressed with.

Speaker 5 (07:04):
And it's also like, yo, I don't know about y'all,
but Lebron's getting older and so great hair between the
gray hair and the fatigue. Because there were times when
he would have bursts, especially early on, and then I
would look around, like where'd he go? But Steph steps up,
and you have other people to step up and feel
in those gaps.

Speaker 6 (07:22):
So shout out to him for pushing himself.

Speaker 5 (07:24):
I cannot imagine at the at thirty nine years old,
playing that level and they were playing okay, it's not
like an NBA season when nobody's playing defense, nobody's fighting
through screens. They were playing basketball the entire time. Shout
out to Lebron James for pushing his body. I don't
pass the limits. I believe that most of us even
think we have to be able to pull this thing
on out.

Speaker 6 (07:43):
So I was.

Speaker 5 (07:44):
I was impressed all the way straight away and just
so happy for Steph. There's certain players for me that
I just feel a sense of attachment to that I
just get happy for when they do well.

Speaker 6 (07:53):
Steph is one of those players.

Speaker 5 (07:55):
So to watch him do that on the world stage
and to make the impact that he's made, then that
imprint will be there for ever. I am so so
excited for him and happy for him. Hopefully this gives
him another level of steam as they go into into
their next season, hopefully they do better than they did
this past season.

Speaker 4 (08:11):
I mean, you guys pretty much have surmised everything that
I would say. I mean, honestly, I just I at
no point thought that France was going to.

Speaker 1 (08:24):
Just roll over and die and allow the United States
to run.

Speaker 4 (08:27):
That's why I was so shocked when I was like,
people thoughts that because I did not, like, I feel
so bad to say this, but I didn't have faith.

Speaker 1 (08:40):
I was like, this diffit end badly so so and
I don't have We'll talk about that later. I was like, wow,
this is great.

Speaker 5 (08:54):
Wait wait wait wait wait, So when you say no faith,
if your faith level is on a talking about one
hundred percent, you have total faith. Where was your faith
on the men's side with Team USA?

Speaker 1 (09:03):
I like, I was like, sad, that's a lot. That's really.

Speaker 6 (09:11):
I'm still in their favor. Okay, I thought you were
at like ten percent. It was really low.

Speaker 1 (09:16):
So like what I mean.

Speaker 4 (09:18):
Is like, I I so unlike some other folks.

Speaker 1 (09:21):
I watched the whole game, right, excuse me. I watched
the whole game.

Speaker 4 (09:27):
As a matter of fact, I was in Michael's shopping
from the craft treaming streaming the game, embarrassing the hell
out of myself because clearly Folks is looking at me
and this owl like why is she yelling?

Speaker 1 (09:38):
Like maybe these are woodcrafts? What are you lack that right?

Speaker 4 (09:44):
And I'm yelling because I'm watching this game and I'm
frustrated because I felt like there were moments where the
gang was much closer than it needed to be. Yeah,
there were moments where I felt like Steve Courages didn't
make the right adjustments when he needed to make them,
and so there were moments where I was just like,
like we just don't.

Speaker 1 (10:01):
We were gonna lose this game.

Speaker 4 (10:02):
We're gonna mess around and let like France really take
this lead, and like we just gonna.

Speaker 1 (10:07):
Lose this game. Yeah, I'm more frustrated.

Speaker 4 (10:10):
I was more on the edge of my seat for
the women, but I was more frustrated at the men.
Interesting really, because it should not have been like Evan
Fournier went off, Wenby went off like you know, even
you know Nick Batoon, like these are ballers, like y'all
know these men, y'all play against these men regularly, like

(10:31):
y'all know what it is, so like the laxadaisical effort
to me was just like in the.

Speaker 1 (10:37):
First half, second half a little bit of a different
story because while Steph Curry took over the game in
the fourth.

Speaker 4 (10:45):
Quarter, I'm gonna give a little bit of love to
Joel Embiid and a third and looked like MVP that
I have been missing. And I said to my husband,
who was a Sixers fan, I said, Yo, if that INB,
if that in B shows up for the sex service,
y'all goes to the finals.

Speaker 1 (11:02):
Because that can be bald, right.

Speaker 4 (11:04):
But it took all of that to get to where
they should have been from the very beginning. And so
as the game went on, I was losing my faith.
I was like, Oh, this is gonna really mad to
get silver around here, which makes more sense when Steve
Kirk says post game that America is probably the only

(11:25):
country in the world whe're getting silver.

Speaker 1 (11:28):
Is a disappointment.

Speaker 2 (11:29):
Yeah in basketball that is people.

Speaker 1 (11:32):
Are you are absolutely absolutely correct? So like, what's happening?
I say all that to say, in the end, did
it matter no?

Speaker 4 (11:41):
Because Steph Curry put on a historic performance to close
the game. He's someone who clearly wanted to make the
most of his Olympic opportunity, and he did. And at
thirty six years old, I think he's thirty six. He
just you know, we're not going to see him again
in twenty twenty eight.

Speaker 1 (11:57):
We're not gonna see Bron in twenty twenty eight. We're
not gonna see.

Speaker 4 (12:00):
I don't think we might see Kevin Durant. I mean
we might, but I don't expect it.

Speaker 6 (12:05):
I don't feel it in my spirit. I don't think from.

Speaker 4 (12:08):
An age perspective could we yes, But from a playing perspective,
given his history with injuries and things of that nature. No,
And again, I'm not going to go too deep in
the woods because I know we'll probably talk about what
the future of USA basketball looks like later on in
the show. But I'm simply saying I do believe this
was a historic performance. And if we have the dream

(12:29):
Team and the redeem Team, then we heard Lebron call
this team the Avengers, and I like that I.

Speaker 1 (12:34):
Can work with that. Right.

Speaker 4 (12:36):
So, they did what needed to be done, but they
certainly did not make it easy at times.

Speaker 2 (12:42):
Yeah, No, they didn't.

Speaker 3 (12:44):
And speaking about KD This is a guy, right who
gets so much flak online. This is a guy who's
arguing with people on Twitter after they had one of
the greatest comebacks in Olympic history against Serbia, and he's
clapping back left and right, and then he goes out

(13:05):
and shows you why he's one of the greatest scorers
we've ever seen in the game. The other thing that
we have to talk about is this man broke the
all time points record male or female in basketball, and
Olympic US basketball is huge. Lisa Leslie shout out to
her because she was generational in her time. Yeah, and

(13:27):
it just shows you how much dedication he has with
his craft. But then also that Serbia game, Guys, when
they were down seventeen that fourth quarter, it was a
spiritual experience and it was like watching the Isley Brothers
perform Summer Breeze when they're.

Speaker 2 (13:44):
Probably in their sixties.

Speaker 3 (13:47):
Chris ad Ron, they scored the final thirteen points in
that quarter.

Speaker 2 (13:53):
It is truly a magical thing that we witnessed there.

Speaker 3 (13:57):
And I know they a lot of people were rude
for them, maybe not to win because of Lebron or
other matters, like just to humble them, but Yeah, That
honestly is a game that I'll never forget because they
looked like they were gonna lose that game, even though
I never lost faith, but they were still able to
come through in the ogs. The ogs delivered. Sometimes you

(14:17):
gotta rely on the old guys.

Speaker 2 (14:19):
Now.

Speaker 3 (14:20):
The other thing that I think is crazy, as we
should switch gears to the women. You you played one
of your worst You played your worst.

Speaker 6 (14:35):
Game, the worst the Olympics, the worst.

Speaker 2 (14:39):
The worst game.

Speaker 3 (14:40):
I think they had nineteen turnovers full and thirteen of
them half correct.

Speaker 2 (14:49):
And you won by one point.

Speaker 3 (14:53):
Thankfully Gabby Williams foot was inside the three point line.
Otherwise we would have been going to ot and then
I damn sure no Tarika injuries.

Speaker 2 (15:03):
Stress levels would have gone through the roof.

Speaker 4 (15:05):
First of all, it was nine thirty in the morning,
you're in the States, and I was like, this is.

Speaker 1 (15:09):
A condamn early for my heart breaking. Didn't like this.
I ain't even had no coffee yet, because I could,
I wouldn't been able to tell you. I wouldn't have
been able to take it. But I will.

Speaker 4 (15:18):
Say, after this break, Chris, I'm gonna tell you exactly
why I was more frustrated. I was less frustrated. I'm
sorry with them than you probably would think. I'm gonna
tell you why.

Speaker 1 (15:34):
After the break.

Speaker 4 (15:38):
It's nine thirty in the morning. My alarm goes off
at nine p fifteen something says Terka, don'tate.

Speaker 1 (15:45):
No coffee yet, just wait, just wait, wait.

Speaker 4 (15:48):
Till like halftime or something. And I couldn't even I
couldn't even do it.

Speaker 1 (15:52):
I couldn't even do it.

Speaker 4 (15:54):
Because outside of the stress level that I had watching
the first half of the gold medal game, I also
felt like I might have threw my damn coffee maker
across at Pension because I was angry at the performance
that we were displaying. Very early in that first half

(16:16):
in the gold medal game. I was now I was
frustrated more with the men because I felt like they
were trying to squander the game. It felt like like
y'all had control, but y'all was just doing dumb stuff
to squander again they did.

Speaker 1 (16:31):
I couldn't have that level of frustration with.

Speaker 4 (16:33):
The women because from the beginning, France came out physical,
they came out defensively.

Speaker 1 (16:40):
They let it be known from the jump we're not
here to play with y'all.

Speaker 4 (16:43):
So on top of them making a statement earlier on
so much so that I believe it was Bernie's had
three thousand in the first quarter.

Speaker 1 (16:53):
I said, damn y'all about to not y'all, y'all ain't
playing for real.

Speaker 4 (16:57):
Outside of that, the United States looked so uncharacteristically in
it at the rim that I was like, what is
going on? Bunny after Bunny after Bunny being missed, typical
layup drills. Not falling Asia Wilson. As much as I
love that she ended the game with twenty one points,

(17:17):
Sis was struggling at the.

Speaker 1 (17:18):
Rim early.

Speaker 4 (17:21):
Never seen and so I was more confused than anything,
because it was like, like, what am I witnessing?

Speaker 1 (17:29):
Here's another difference.

Speaker 4 (17:30):
Granted, the men have won gold since two and since
losing in two thousand and four to two thousand and eight,
they have lost some games and group.

Speaker 1 (17:40):
They've won overall, but they have taken some l's.

Speaker 4 (17:45):
I am old enough to remember when Spain was bringing
the business okay, so when Power of the Saw was like,
hold up, god, we ain't friends right now, you know
what I'm saying. So I remember them taking some ls.
The women have never taken an L. That also becomes
very scary because at some point your luck got to
run out, and you really hate for that to happen

(18:08):
in this game, in this place, with the team having
home court, home field advantage, and it being against players
who not only canball, but have chosen not to because
they specifically wanted to prepare to beat you. Gabby Williams
could be in the WNBA, you chose not to. Marine

(18:31):
Johanna's still on the roster for the Liberty but chose
not to.

Speaker 1 (18:36):
You know, Ileanna Rupair could steal ball in the w
but chose not to just so they can.

Speaker 4 (18:43):
So the stakes felt very different in this matchup than
any other matchup. It felt like there was a purpose
to wanting to take you down and they were very
much on the path to doing so.

Speaker 1 (18:57):
And that's what had me tripping in this game.

Speaker 5 (19:00):
Oh well, to Rika said a mouthful. I was pissed
pretty much ninety percent of the game. The mislayups alone.
I thought I was gonna have to go to urgent
care because I know my blood pressure was through the roof,
you know. Terreka mentioned she woke up at nine am.
I'm on the West Coast, so I woke up at
about seven. I didn't even get my time with the

(19:22):
Lord then, like I should have gotten because I'm rolling
over the season.

Speaker 1 (19:26):
You needed that.

Speaker 5 (19:27):
Jesus didn't forgive me, Okay, forgive me. And to watch
the turnovers. The guard play for me was just so subpar.
I was like you though, Rika, like what what happened?
Did you guys go out last night?

Speaker 1 (19:44):
What did you do?

Speaker 6 (19:45):
Because there was a lack of focus, and that for
me was huge.

Speaker 5 (19:51):
I mean Sabrina and Escu coming in and putting in
the minutes in the second half that she did, and
Cleia Copper obviously stepping up and she did. They were
the difference maker and clear more than anybody.

Speaker 2 (20:01):
And Kelsey Plump. Kelsey Plump too.

Speaker 5 (20:03):
Don't forget her, she get plumb in the second half
because in that first half she was weird and she
was also getting on my nerves. Pretty much the entire
Las Vegas Aces roster that was on the Olympic roster
was getting on my nerves. Most of the game. Asia
was trying. They were beating her up but meeting her up.
So I have to give it to her too. Some

(20:24):
of the mislay ups and things like that. She was
just straight up getting hacked, so she had to earn
every basket she got.

Speaker 6 (20:29):
She had to earn it.

Speaker 5 (20:30):
So I have to give it up to her for
pushing through and really showing why she's the best player
in the world, because a lot of people that with
a lot of players wouldn't necessarily get on the other
side of that and the way that she did statistically,
So shout out to her. But the guard play was
so disturbing to me. And I recall even watching the
game and listening to the announcers and the commentary and
Lechina Robinson was talking about, you know why BG was

(20:52):
not in the game over the second half, and she's like,
she's got to be set up properly, and the guard
play is too sloppy right now, even half her in
the game, it wouldn't make any so hearing those things,
you know, Stewie's struggling most of the game, can't get
a shot to fall. So I think, yes, there are
games when you're off, you know, obviously, like Terreka said,
the stakes were high. You're in France, this home court advantage,

(21:13):
the men barely you know, they could have been go
medalist the night before, so you had that as a
build up as well, which was great for the sports
world in general, but I would have obviously liked, you know,
Team USA to go out in a more dominant way.
On the women's side, I was very surprised. The men's
side again didn't necessarily surprise me as much the women.
I just like, Okay, we're gonna win by at least fifteen.

(21:33):
You know, we might drop a drop a dub on them,
but they're at home, so they're gonna have some energy.

Speaker 6 (21:38):
But to see that game go.

Speaker 5 (21:39):
Like that, I was just sitting there, like, to Tarika's point,
is the luck going a round out today? Because if
it does, the ripple effect from that I think could
also impact the w And then we go right back
to those same conversations about why was it such and
such on a team and they could have been on
the team and they would have been and they would
have been on teen and when it did that, And
so I even found myself talking some of my friends, like, guys,

(22:00):
it's twelve spots, that's number one. And the people you're
talking about, I'm not even gonna name them because I
don't feel drama today, But who are they going to
play in place of? Or do you want them to
come and sit on the bench because that's what they're
going to do. So I'm also glad they want because
all of that extra talk I don't have to hear
for the next.

Speaker 6 (22:14):
Week and a half.

Speaker 5 (22:15):
So that's just me selfishly saying Praise the Lord, Praise
the Lord. But it also says, hey, there is a
changing of the guard that is happening on the world
stage when it comes to the game of basketball on
the men's and women's side. And so we obviously take
pride here in the United States with the NBA and
the WNBA, but understand, everybody's getting better and there's no more.

(22:36):
The differentiation between what's happening across the glow across the
world and what's happened in the United States is the
window is very small. It's tightening to the point where
we can't even differentiate anymore. I'm excited for the game
in that respect, but also we can't assume anymore. We
can't assume that the USA is going to take it anymore.
And I'm a little I'm a little I guess nervous.
We'll see, I'm a little nervous. Yeah, women, I'm a

(23:00):
little nerve for the women, the men.

Speaker 2 (23:02):
I ain't worry for the women, the many.

Speaker 6 (23:06):
Can you win by more points? Can you not win
by one thing?

Speaker 1 (23:09):
One game?

Speaker 2 (23:11):
Let me tell you something.

Speaker 6 (23:12):
It's a different. Let me talk about the differentiation, Chris.

Speaker 2 (23:16):
I don't think.

Speaker 3 (23:17):
I don't give a ship if they won by half
an inch. I don't give a ship if they won
by half a point. They brought gold medal.

Speaker 6 (23:23):
It does matter. It does matter. Is a show you bring.

Speaker 2 (23:28):
Home goal and that is the only acceptable thing because
the show.

Speaker 6 (23:31):
I love arguing with Chris.

Speaker 2 (23:31):
This is so fun.

Speaker 6 (23:32):
I've never done this before.

Speaker 1 (23:33):
Let's keep going.

Speaker 5 (23:34):
You gotta show that you're the dominant force. They we
were not dominant. We did not show Look at all
the other games.

Speaker 2 (23:40):
Look at all their other games.

Speaker 3 (23:41):
Okay, they won by fifty Their average margin of victory
was I think like fifteen sixteen points, right, that is.

Speaker 2 (23:47):
Correct until this game.

Speaker 5 (23:49):
So please, Okay, I hear you, I hear you, But
you gotta I just one point a force. Okay, here's
here's the middle.

Speaker 6 (24:00):
You're the mediator. This is so fun, Chris. Thank you
for doing that. A little bit of argument here and there.

Speaker 4 (24:05):
Little here's ground, here's middle ground, middle ground to Shari's
point is that prior to this year, US say women
probably averaged thirty twenty. I think it was twenty to
thirty point differential in their wins like these were not

(24:25):
these were not close. This year, the point differential was
more fifteen sixteen ish. So yes, in terms of the
expectation of there being a larger margin than one point, absolutely,
I do absolutely understand the concern that the rest of

(24:46):
the world is getting better.

Speaker 1 (24:48):
Right to Chris's point, how fucking spoiled are we that
we are very about winning by one or winning by forty,
like we want a damn go that all, like that
was what we were supposed to do, and we are
a spoiled nation that we are angry that we are

(25:12):
that we were allowed a team to be that close
with us.

Speaker 6 (25:16):
I didn't like it. It didn't good.

Speaker 4 (25:18):
Just now now, Yes, I do believe had we played
better to start the game, had we made majority of
those layus Kelsey Plumb was the only one out there
shooting threes and hitting them. Jackie Younge filed out. So like, Yes,
had we played better, I'm quite sure that the margin

(25:38):
of winning point wise, the point differential would have been
a bit further, But for us to still be able
to pull out the w after playing so uncharacteristically inferior
to start the game, that does further let me know
that the WNBA truly has the best players in the world.

(26:00):
But let's put the world on notice. Okay, because I
think about a team like.

Speaker 1 (26:05):
Nigeria that don't have a single WNBA player on it.
Can you imagine what would happen if the Noriqueo Gumba
Wilet decided that she wanted to play for Team Nigeria,
if maybe Mikayla on Waite decided she wanted to show up,
if maybe for the sake of argument, Mekka a Gooma
Case said, you know what, I know, I'm thirty six.
I fucking why not?

Speaker 6 (26:25):
Right?

Speaker 1 (26:26):
What we really do have to be mindful of where
we are.

Speaker 4 (26:31):
And how everyone else is starting to provide that parody.
So the mistakes in the margin of era for having
those types of games are going to get smaller and smaller.
So I do understand where Shari is frustrated, because we
do watch that game thinking, oh, we're gonna win this
by like twenty not even tripping. But I also know,

(26:51):
to Chris's point that because the world is getting better.

Speaker 1 (26:55):
We got to take them wins when we get them,
and it don't matter how we get them, as long
as we get And that's like, that's just kind of
where I am. See we can all wear our guys.

Speaker 6 (27:05):
I do like that, and we all have our get
along hats we today we didn't even.

Speaker 4 (27:09):
Know we got.

Speaker 2 (27:11):
We got black women as black women.

Speaker 5 (27:15):
We are all aligned with everybody, no one fear. We
are all aligned heart in the perfect harm we are.

Speaker 1 (27:22):
We are small aligned.

Speaker 4 (27:24):
So as we move forward on this, on this great
conversation that we've had here, after the break, I think
we might want to get into what we can expect
once the Olympic comes to Los Angeles in twenty twenty eight, we'll.

Speaker 1 (27:45):
Be right back.

Speaker 5 (27:47):
What's going on, everybody, Welcome back to the three on
three pod. We've been having a great conversation so far.
We're going to keep it rocking with Chris Williams and
of course u Rika Foster Brasby, and we're talking about
the LA Games twenty twenty eight LA Games twenty twenty
eight Olympic Games. Guys, I'm already excited, and in part
because I'm everybody's planning at least I am.

Speaker 6 (28:10):
To be there.

Speaker 2 (28:10):
You know, I'll be there. We all gonna be there.

Speaker 6 (28:12):
I feel like everybody in the United States.

Speaker 5 (28:14):
It's like, yeah, I'm save my money, I'm saving my
money now I'm gonna be there. But when we think
about basketball, we talked about just the landscape of the
game and globally, how everybody's getting better. You know, I'll
go to you first, Chris, what do you think you know,
the outlook looks like right now for the men's and
women's teams as we think about twenty twenty eight.

Speaker 3 (28:32):
So for me, I think these Olympics or the twenty
twenty Olympics are going to be very competitive, if not
more competitive than we saw in these Olympics right probably
for both the men and women, because the women on
the international shide, they're gonna continue to get better, and
of course we have great guards and forwards coming up
in our league and also from college. But for the men,

(28:54):
I'm a little bit worried about who is going to
be that dog, right who was going to be the
anchor like we saw with Lebron James, who was consistent
from day one until the end of the Olympics.

Speaker 2 (29:07):
Who's going to be the close of Steph Curry KD.

Speaker 3 (29:09):
Right, when you think about the names for me, okay,
you think about Anthony Edwards, right. You know our producer
Lauren talks about John Morrey. I don't even know if
Grant Hill is going to select job because of some
of the issues that he's had. You know, they can
say what they want. Politics come into play, and if
he didn't have any issues, you know, with the gun

(29:30):
incident and all that, he would definitely be for sure.
Devin Booker is a guy who I think really solidified
his role for the next Olympics because of how he
did all the dirty work. He wasn't trying to be
the star. He didn't need to be like he is
with Phoenix, I'm a law with KD and Bradley Beal.
Jason Tatum, I don't know if he's going to want

(29:50):
to be back, right. He's clearly pissed off. We saw
that tweet or he posted someone on Instagram. Vin Staples
tweet saying we will avenge j Tatum. That was literally
a day after, I think, after they won the gold medal.
Jalen Brown is another guy, So I'm not as sure

(30:11):
about the men for the women I think we are
going to have a really great squad. Of course, Kaylen
Clark is probably going to be on there, Angel Reeves,
Asia Wilson, Stewie, you know, hopefully we'll get Eliah Boston
up in there, Kaliah Copper, Jackie Young, they both need

(30:32):
to be on that roster because they are some of
the best two way guards in the world. And he probably,
you know, may throw in Cameron Briank, some other Rakia Jackson,
potentially Jordan Horston. So I have more faith if the
selection committee does their job with the women, that we
will be fine and we will win. Go for the

(30:52):
men again, I'm a little concerned about who has that
alpha mentality in the Olympics. It's one thing have it
the NBA or in the w NBA, But in the
Olympics it's a different type of basketball. And Tarika, you've
made so many faces during my monologue here, I'm very

(31:13):
curious to hear what is behind those expressions.

Speaker 4 (31:18):
First of all, let me just say that y'all can
tell growing up, I was a terrible liar.

Speaker 1 (31:24):
Because my face just gives it away.

Speaker 4 (31:27):
Be Like, damn, I didn't mean to give that away
from a glasses on Chris, I like, I like what
you're saying. I do.

Speaker 1 (31:39):
But remember when we started this podcast, we talked about faith. Yes,
I ain't got none of it, none of it, not
a bit of it. I ain't got none of it.

Speaker 4 (31:51):
I am at zero percent, and I'm gonna need to
like I'm starting from the bottom, and I need y'all
to raise my spirits because I wonder about whether or
not these players will improve to the level that the
world is improving, given that a lot of the world
is improving because there are international players leaving the NBA

(32:13):
to play for their native countries. That's why you see
Giannis and Greece. That's why you see Joker playing for Serbia,
you know what I mean. That's why you see a
Victor win Beyonna playing for friends, and they are only
going to get better. Even who is a Wenby's younger
brother now going to play in the German League so
that he can be eligible to come and play. So

(32:33):
when I look at Team USA from the men specifically,
I see a lot of players who really do have
that it factor for the NBA, but I am not
at all convinced that they are ready for the international
level play. I think about guys like Polo Banko, excellent
player by the time twenty twenty eight, kets here dude
should be a beast.

Speaker 1 (32:51):
But are you Olympic ready? Now?

Speaker 4 (32:53):
I could see a Jaln Brown coming in. Absolutely. I
worry about the front court, right you got Bam. Ain't
no guarantee Anthony Davis coming back. I mean, you want
to say Anthony Davis is coming back, but that man,
if you blow him his knee wrong, he's out gone.

Speaker 2 (33:07):
So but he did hold on, he did have a
great regular season.

Speaker 1 (33:11):
You stayed.

Speaker 4 (33:13):
Absolutely, but that all the more reason is why I'm
a bit more concerned and how long this will last? Right,
if you had a great regular season and you actually
played pretty well in the Olympics as well, and as
far as the regular season is concerned, it didn't get
the Lakers nowhere, right, So if this is what this
looked like at your best, then you ain't getting younger,
bro like, and you ain't and everybody's not Lebron. Lebron

(33:35):
is superhuman to be able to look the way he
looks right now at forty years old.

Speaker 1 (33:40):
So it's just I think about a Jaylen Brown.

Speaker 4 (33:44):
I actually believe John Morant would would be an excellent
addition to Team USA.

Speaker 1 (33:49):
I love Anthony Edwards, and to me, Anthony Edwards is
probably the.

Speaker 4 (33:52):
Guy that stepped up the most to say, Hey, this
is this is how we got to do it, and
this is what we're gonna do to get it. I
have no reason to believe that Jason Tatum would not
accept an invitation to come back and play for Team
USA if it was extended to him, regardless, because ain't
no guarantee it's gonna be Steve Curry. It'll probably be
somebody like Jason Kidd coaching the Olympics at this point

(34:13):
in time. So I say all that to say I
have concerns about the front court, and I have concerns
about the players that we have in the league currently
stepping up to the level of hunger that the international
players have. I think we could probably get gold. I
mean probably place bronze. That's where I'm placing us. I need,

(34:34):
I need, I need Team USA.

Speaker 1 (34:36):
To show me a little bit more compared to the world,
not the NBA, compared to the world. I need y'all
to show me a bit more.

Speaker 4 (34:46):
Because yeah, because Serbia and France they got your girl
looking like ooh now I'm gonna less sure we go
before I get on the women, because.

Speaker 6 (34:54):
I'll tell you the women. I have nothing really else
to add. You guys really said a mouthful.

Speaker 5 (35:00):
I think for me, just on the world stage, Winby
is a concern, and watching how well he played against
the US and you know the tears he shed and
him saying I'm concerned and worried about everybody. I'm worried
about the world because I'm coming for everyone. I think
this was a statement game for him in particular that's
going to carry him through to the twenty twenty eight Games.

Speaker 6 (35:20):
He's going to be a problem, and therefore France will
be a problem.

Speaker 5 (35:23):
Don't know who's going to stop him, and I think
in order for the United States to even get past France,
if that happens again, somebody's going to have to be
equipped to stop him. To Tarika's point, who, I don't know,
it's not Anthony Davis. It's not And prayerfully the man
is still playing in the league, because like she said,
he is an injury prone player, and we're talking three

(35:44):
years has some change from now, so we're expecting him
to be healthy as he's gotten older. No more major injuries,
no more sitting out games, spot games here and there.
Yeah no, so and then the men's college game just
is not it's not adding up right now, so not
developing right So, you know, unless there's some sleepers that

(36:04):
I'm just not aware of even coming through the ranks,
you know, in these next couple of rookie classes, I
don't know. And then from a floor general leadership standpoint,
that VET that Diana Tarassi of the men's side, not
sure who that would be, and I think that's going
to be very important for them to have that. Anthony
Edwards I probably D Book, Probably d Book true, Yeah,
he could be. Ye, there's there's a level of whether

(36:31):
it's vocalized or just shown in their game that like
adult Lebron has even a KD KD is not very vocal,
but his game speaks so much. From a leadership standpoint,
I love d Book. I think he's like I said,
like you guys said, he should definitely be on the
team in twenty twenty eight. But as that VET leader
to rally the troops, I just I don't know, And

(36:54):
maybe I need to see more from him even in
Phoenix for me to be convinced of that, but I
do think the potential is there, and I do. I'm sorry, guys,
Jason Tatum. I would not invite him back unless he
is somewhere turning up and like killing everybody at an
MVP level for the for the remainder of the time
until the twenty twenty eight games. But I want to
see Jaylen Brown getting opportunity.

Speaker 6 (37:13):
I really, Oh, I love yeah. I want to see
him get an opportunity.

Speaker 5 (37:17):
And it makes me so sad about all the controversy
that's surrounded Kyrie because this team could have used him
and then he could have been that guy, that floor
general that vet to come in in twenty twenty eight
and really set the tone and keep the guys together.

Speaker 6 (37:29):
So it's unfortunate, but yeah, we'll see.

Speaker 5 (37:31):
I'm winto Rika, I mean, I have a little faith
I have to, But I don't know who some of
these where some of these pieces are going to come from.

Speaker 6 (37:38):
Right now.

Speaker 5 (37:38):
I think the NBA is in an interesting position in
the passing of the baton. Who's gonna take it and
really run with it. Outside of the couple players we named,
I don't know, but weinby Yeah, everybody will it makes
you it really does make it really does.

Speaker 1 (37:50):
Make you like revaluate the collegiate talent.

Speaker 4 (37:54):
Absolutely we have here because for so long the whole
one and done situation people were all on board with it.
But I'm like, the natural talent of those players who
went one and done is very different than the natural
talent of players coming into the league now, and that
one and done situation just doesn't work anymore. However, I

(38:14):
will not entertain the fact that our producer just posted
in our chat brought me in twenty two man, I will.

Speaker 1 (38:22):
Not here today. I will tell you.

Speaker 6 (38:25):
I will tell you this though making me right now,
I'm gone.

Speaker 1 (38:27):
I don't want to be.

Speaker 6 (38:30):
I don't want to be here anymore, twit.

Speaker 4 (38:32):
But I will say, if we're going to speak on
college and Brownie makes me think of USC makes me
think of Juji Watkins.

Speaker 1 (38:41):
Yes, ma'am, I think absolutely.

Speaker 4 (38:44):
So. You know where I had questions about the front
court for the men in twenty twenty eight that I
know you know we're getting.

Speaker 1 (38:49):
Close to time.

Speaker 4 (38:50):
But what I will say is that for the women
in twenty twenty eight, I think the WNBA is in
a great places. I feel that the entirety of the
league of the WN is in such a great place
that you can insert some folks on that Team USA
for the women and.

Speaker 1 (39:07):
We will still absolutely be fine.

Speaker 4 (39:09):
I have no doubt that Asia and Brianna Stewart will
still be the anchors of that team. The backcourt is
where you probably get a little bit of more of
a question mark, because there's no more Diana Tarazzi. This year,
we stop seeing SUPERB she's done. We more than likely
won't see Chelsea Gray. So where does that backcourt look like? Well, yes,

(39:30):
you can't insert a Caitlin Clark. Yes you can insert
an Ali Shah Gray. You can't insert Oriyan Howard Plumb
is still around, Jackie Young, so Kalia Copper. So there
are definitely, I think an abundance of people that the
committee can select in order to make these adjustments and

(39:50):
we'll still be fine. I love the potential addition of
a cameraon brink in an Angel Reese.

Speaker 1 (39:56):
I love the addition of even.

Speaker 4 (39:59):
Having some one who previously played in Team USA joining
the Team USA coaching staff, Like can I see Diana
Torozzi coaching.

Speaker 1 (40:09):
Like that would be amazing.

Speaker 4 (40:10):
So I say all that to say that I think
that the women and the men are in two different
places as a league, and that is what helps to
dictate my comfortability as it relates.

Speaker 1 (40:20):
To what Team USA.

Speaker 4 (40:22):
And we're gonna get a chance to see it because
they're gonna play in the World Cup in Germany in
twenty twenty six, so we gonna get an opportunity.

Speaker 1 (40:28):
I'm not I think Alyssa Thomas will come back.

Speaker 4 (40:31):
I love it, but she was able to her versatility.
I loved it, I really did. Now she pissed me
off with some of the turnovers in the gold middle game.
But I say all that to say that again, I
think the women and men.

Speaker 1 (40:43):
As a league are in different places, and because of that,
it trickles over to Team USA being in different places.
And while I have no idea what the men are
gonna look like, I am more than sure that the
women will be just fine.

Speaker 2 (40:59):
Na appreedily.

Speaker 3 (41:00):
Absolutely, you brought up from great points, especially Ryan Howard,
Alicia Gray.

Speaker 2 (41:05):
The talent, it's so rich. Right as you said, it's
just going to be a matter of.

Speaker 3 (41:12):
Selecting the best team, the best twelve player earth, the
best group of twelve players that work together, not necessarily
the best twelve players in the w NBA. So gold
medal number nine is coming and we will see it
in LA in twenty twenty eight. And then before we

(41:32):
wrap up this show, we have to always get into
our jump ball segment a little bit on a more
serious tone. Deerka Hamby, the La Sparks forward who's having
an all star level season right now, made some very
big news right after the Olympics, and we're going to
get into that staff for the break. So on Monday,

(41:54):
we learn that WNBA star and member of the La
Sparks Derega Hanby Falladay lass suit a federal lawsuit against
the WNBA and the Las Vegas Aces, alleging that the
two organizations unlawfully discriminated against her and retaliated against her
for being pregnant with their second child. And let's be

(42:15):
clear for people who are not aware, the WNBA did
an investigation earlier in twenty was it twenty twenty three
when Cannics Parker was still playing right when she was
coming over to the Aces, and they deemed that Becky
Hammond violated.

Speaker 2 (42:30):
The rules in the CBA, so they suspended her for
two games.

Speaker 3 (42:34):
They took away their twenty twenty five draft pick, their
first rounder, and I don't know if they there were
any other violations or you know, suspensions, but the point
is this is something that is going to another level
because the Erica didn't feel like the WNBA handled this

(42:56):
investigation correctly to give her her justice and their proper
due when it came to how the parties that discriminated
her against discriminated against her allegedly were punished. And for me,
I am glad that she has taking it to this

(43:16):
far because pregnant mothers need to be protected and fought
for in a league that is about advocacy and protecting women.
And when you have the conversations that we saw between
Hammon and Handby, that is not an appropriate workplace conversation

(43:42):
at all. It lacks empathy and just ability to understand
what somebody's going through. And I think it's this culture
that we've kind of I don't say we accepted, but
it's so normalized or yet you need to be available.
If you're not available, then we will move on from you.

(44:03):
And that could be for a number of reasons, right,
whether you're injured a lot, or something else. But if
you want to get pregnant, that's a beautiful thing. And
your employer should embrace that say how can we help you, Like, Okay,
we know you're not going to be available for X
amount of months, or yeah, we expect you to be

(44:24):
back for the regular season. Great, tell us everything that's
going on between then and now. But the and then
the fact that we saw in the lawsuit that the
Aces were trying to obtain deer Cahamby's medical records, that
is just that is disgusting and I have no reason

(44:47):
to believe deir Ca Hamby is not telling the truth.
I fully believe, like as.

Speaker 2 (44:54):
Lauren points out, the rundown, that's a HIPO violation.

Speaker 1 (44:58):
Why are you doing that? So?

Speaker 3 (45:01):
I don't know how y'all feel, but I think that
if she's able to win this lawsuit or at least
maybe get a settlement, that it will lead to better
protections for pregnant mothers in the WNBA, and the language
in the CBA will be much tighter to ensure things
like this don't happen. And then also that the punishments

(45:22):
are much more severe if and when these situations arise.

Speaker 5 (45:26):
SHERI, you all know, anytime there's a topic about women's rights,
women getting with their old women being mistreated, in needing justice.

Speaker 6 (45:39):
I'm all for it every time.

Speaker 5 (45:41):
And for me, I have zero tolerance for women, black women,
in particular black mothers being discriminated against in any way,
shape or form.

Speaker 6 (45:52):
I'm with you, Chris. I don't think she's lying.

Speaker 5 (45:55):
I think she did the right thing because there should
be some level of justice, amount of tarily that she
receives because ultimately you impacted her income as well, right,
you shelved her basically put her in a position where
she had to go to another team, readjust relocate her life.
There's a lot involved in that as well. While she's
a mom a second time, so and then Lauren just

(46:16):
chimed in on the chat and talked about mental health.
Oh absolutely, So, first of all, let's acknowledge the fact
that you have a woman that had one child and
came back and did her thing on the basketball court.
I don't know why we don't understand the childbirth is
a dangerous thing. It is dangerous to have a child.

Speaker 6 (46:31):
You could die.

Speaker 5 (46:32):
So you have a woman who's an athlete, at a
high level, professional athlete, already had a child, came back,
all right, I'm here, I'm gonna have another baby. Totally
intends to come back and you ice her out like that,
and you treat her like that, It's totally unacceptable. So yes,
you should pay her every single dime. And guess what else,
Skyler Diggens should come right behind her and do the
exact same thing, because there needs to be a level,

(46:56):
as you mentioned, Chris, of zero tolerance.

Speaker 6 (46:59):
It's not tolerant. This is the Women's National Basketball Association.

Speaker 5 (47:04):
If no one else advocates for them, it should be
their own league, their own league. So shame on every
single person, every single person, and some of these people,
Becky Hammond. I have so much respect for her as
a coach, but as a person. If this is true
in any way, shape or form, I'm disgusted and there
is an ounce of respect that I've lost because you
don't do that to another woman, Like come on, I

(47:26):
could even see if it was a male coach, No shade, Chris,
but a woman to woman that's what we're doing, and
a mom.

Speaker 6 (47:35):
And absolutely should sue them. And the timing.

Speaker 5 (47:39):
I don't care about the timing, And actually cool, glad
it happened now while there's so much attention on the
women's game, because some people still don't understand the seriousness
of this, or even that it's even happening or existed.

Speaker 6 (47:50):
So I don't know if it was divine timing.

Speaker 5 (47:52):
I don't know if they planned to do this at
this point in time, like hey, when the Olympics rap,
we're gonna go, We're gonna strike while the Irons hot whatever.
But for me actually like the time of this because
it showcases this to a sector of people who may
not even understand the severity of this or that is
even a problem. But Skylar Diggins, hey girl, get your
money too. You may be working on it already, but

(48:13):
there's times in life where you have to just be
the pioneer. You have to be the trailblazer. And it's
not always for great things. This is a hurtful thing.
Who knows what Deerica has to unpack and revisit to
even do this from a mental health, emotional health standpoint,
even her family, right, but she had to be the person.
So shout out to her for having the courage to
step out and say, hey, I'm taking it a step
further because who knows what happens after this for her,

(48:34):
Like we don't know, she's also putting a career on
the line. Again, as far as the w is concerned,
I'm hoping that that's not the case. But the reality
is there are people out there that blackball people all
the time when they decide to take a stand about
stuff that they're actually justified and taking a stand for.

Speaker 6 (48:47):
So I applaud her courage.

Speaker 5 (48:49):
I hope she gets every single dime, and I hope
Scylar Diggins takes note and follows suit and does the
same thing.

Speaker 1 (48:55):
I'm certainly even from the perspective of if I took
the emotion out of it. Right, just let's look at
what we know. Right. This might be the poly sign me.

Speaker 4 (49:08):
Folks may not know this, but my bachelor's degrees in
policide pre law thought I was going to be a
defense attorney, right, So just look at what we know.
Whether or not it was said that if you have
a baby, or if you get pregnant, or you need
to be taking steps to not get pregnant. Why is
that even a conversation, right, We shouldn't be I'm not

(49:29):
No one has the audacity or should have the audacity
or authority to tell a woman, and as a thirty
nine year old woman who's never been pregnant and hopes to.

Speaker 1 (49:36):
One day have a child.

Speaker 6 (49:37):
You're not about to tell me, Nope, not that.

Speaker 4 (49:40):
There's never a conversation that we should ever have on
the table that says this is owed to you. If
you don't get pregnant, should never So that's number one.
Number two, How you're going to tell me what I
planned or didn't plan? Come on, one hundred percent, condoms
ain't one hundred percent effective.

Speaker 1 (49:56):
Number one. Number two, everybody's body reacts.

Speaker 4 (49:59):
Different to birth control, putting my business out there again,
was on depot for ten years, acted very different than
another woman who took the same form of birth control.

Speaker 1 (50:09):
So that's number two.

Speaker 4 (50:12):
Number three, you asked her to leave her apartment that
was sanctioned by the team in twenty twenty two, when
you didn't kick her off the team until twenty twenty
three according to the lawsuit, So why are you putting
me out early? So that's number that's number three. Number
four according to the lawsuit, y'all were supposed to help

(50:32):
pay for this baby's tuition, and you didn't pay for
this baby's tuition. So now you're involving a child who
don't really have nothing to do with nothing, an innocent
child not even understanding that. So that's number four and last,
but not least, Whether you like it or not, this
woman worked and earned that freaking championship with Las Vegas.

(50:54):
You didn't invite her to the White House, you didn't
invite her to the commemoration ceremony, and you told, according
to the lawsuit, to cease communication with her. Like, these
ain't grown women and they ain't friends. How are you
telling people what they can and can't talk? Those things alone?
Now you look at the investigation. You talk to thirty
three people, but none of them were active players of

(51:14):
the Las Vegas Aces. Well, what kind of investigation that
you can doug so off those things alone, that.

Speaker 1 (51:21):
Is enough to sue. Forget the emotion, forget the forget
the you know, the CBA, the reproductive rights, the forget
all of that, just off the basics of these things.

Speaker 4 (51:34):
Yeah, it feels a little like a little little feel
a little little discrimination is going on somewhere.

Speaker 1 (51:39):
That is enough to suit based off the facts. So
at this point I really need the WNBA to really
get their shit in order. I really need the Las
Vegas Aces, who are already being investigated for the one
hundred thousand dollars compensation stuff to get their shit in order,
because this isn't going away. This is a huge deal

(52:01):
and it is not going away.

Speaker 4 (52:03):
And all of the amazing things that we're seeing about
the w we are also going to have to understand
with growth also comes the shit, and this is one
of those the shits.

Speaker 1 (52:16):
That hits the fan, and can hit the fan very hard.
Especially with a new TV.

Speaker 4 (52:21):
Deal that was just signed, especially with a new CBA
that's going to be approaching very soon.

Speaker 1 (52:26):
They really need to have their shit in order. So
good luck to de Erica. I wish her all the best.
I certainly believe the truth will be revealed and that
justice will be served for who it is deserved for.

Speaker 4 (52:40):
With that, y'all, I think we might go ahead and
put a bow on this good thing that we call
the three on three podcast.

Speaker 5 (52:47):
Wait a minute, we have to put a candle on
this thing as well. Happy Birthday, Happy birthday.

Speaker 6 (52:58):
It's a big one too.

Speaker 5 (53:00):
I can't leave and not not celebrate your birthday in
some way. Ship, But I'm telling you, guys, I turned forty.

Speaker 1 (53:06):
Hello, ma'am, on Saturday, August seventeenth. I know, I know,
I don't look older. Than twenty five. Correct, amen, But
I am turning the Big four to Oh. I am
very excited about it.

Speaker 4 (53:21):
I am blessed to have seen forty years on this
earth and I am going to celebrate every bit of
it in.

Speaker 1 (53:28):
The on the island of Antiga.

Speaker 6 (53:31):
And yes, ma'am, yeah, I'm gonna set it up.

Speaker 1 (53:36):
I won't set it up.

Speaker 4 (53:37):
