Speaker 1 (00:01):
And That's What You Really Missed with Jenna.
Speaker 2 (00:04):
And Kevin an iHeartRadio Podcast.
Speaker 3 (00:08):
Welcome to and That's What You Really miss Podcast. Dream
Season five tour edition. We have called in the big guns.
Andrew from Gleek to the Week Pod has come with
another brilliant, brilliant set list for us. I have my
(00:32):
solist kids his set list. We'll see if they're similar
or different. And Andrew's set list is not one you
want to miss.
Speaker 1 (00:41):
Controversial, My job was on the ground from the first
two songs.
Speaker 2 (00:46):
Absolutely insane. He's unhinged and we love him. Thank you
Andrew for joining us. This is such a fun episode.
We're dream building the perfect tour ish.
Speaker 1 (00:56):
For nobody to see.
Speaker 2 (00:57):
Yeah, exactly. This is tour number five with Andrew. Andrew,
thank you for coming.
Speaker 4 (01:06):
Oh my gosh, of course it's my pleasure.
Speaker 2 (01:10):
So you're back. We're gonna do another Dream Tour set
list yes season. And you know, as we do this
and as we get on in the seasons, I just
keep thinking, had we had this relationship when the tours
were going on and we could consult you, sure it
would have been so much better and easier, and we
(01:35):
really could have gotten you know, given the fantastic exactly
what they wanted.
Speaker 4 (01:40):
Oh well, thank you so much. I was thinking about
it as I was creating this insane list, this sane,
insane set list. But I was like, all right, I
feel like my Joker origin story was the fact that
I did not get to see all live. And that's
why I'm here today. If I went to see you
guys live, I don't think that I would be logging
in as many. Yeah we're talking about Glee on a
(02:01):
weekly basis as I. But yeah, no, here we are,
and we're better for it.
Speaker 3 (02:07):
I guess who appreciate it?
Speaker 4 (02:10):
So should we just get into it?
Speaker 2 (02:12):
Well? Yeah, lay of the land? What does this tour
look like? Like? What are we? Where are we going?
What are we? Where are we performing? So much?
Speaker 4 (02:19):
You asked? I really there was like a few ideas,
like you could do the the regular tour of course
that you guys were doing, or I was thinking maybe
a one night only resident or like a residency in Lima, Ohio.
I think that maybe you just like you really help
the local Lima Heights and the you know, business will
(02:40):
be booming, local business exactly, the economy exactly me there
take So should we just get into the set list. Yeah,
season five was I'm sure you're aware a behemoth. You're
aware more than anybody. But heath uh task to create
(03:03):
a tour for and so I did my best.
Speaker 2 (03:07):
And if anything, you know, say what you will about
this season. But the music, the music was incredible music,
and the numbers were bigger than ever. And so actually
this is the perfect season to have a tour based
off of.
Speaker 1 (03:25):
Agreed. Yeah, the tour I'm most excited about, I think.
Speaker 2 (03:29):
Because it's like when you when you adept. I don't
know if it's gonna work out, but bear with me here.
When you make a movie based off a book, the
book is always better.
Speaker 1 (03:39):
Ye sure, most of the time.
Speaker 2 (03:41):
Every now and then you have like a little surprise. Yeah,
I think this is one of those surprises where you're
doing a tour based off a season. I think this
tour could be better than the season.
Speaker 1 (03:50):
Okay, I see what you're saying.
Speaker 4 (03:51):
Oh, okay, okay, all right, I'll do my best to
satisfy that. Let's do.
Speaker 2 (03:56):
Don't let us down, Andrew.
Speaker 4 (03:57):
Oh my god, I'm going to be removed from the zoom. Okay,
So for the opening act, we have none other than Mercedes.
Shown's Amber Riley and Amber Riley as Mercedes like in
Universe doing her tour at the end of season five,
starting off with Hell to the No, going into color Blind,
(04:23):
and then finishing it off with shaking.
Speaker 2 (04:25):
My Head, the classic hit.
Speaker 4 (04:27):
Yeah, she has so many hits, and then we go
into the setless proper starting Okay, there's some really crazy
choices in the season five and I included all of them.
So that morning Poppe teers on tour. Oh, of course,
we'll get to it. Okay, tell me if you if
(04:49):
you hate this first song of the tour blurred lines,
everybody get up.
Speaker 2 (04:55):
Do we hate it? You're a crazy person, You're.
Speaker 1 (05:01):
I understand it. I understand it.
Speaker 3 (05:06):
Okay, I I'm going to pass.
Speaker 2 (05:12):
I'm reserving judgment. I want to.
Speaker 1 (05:14):
See you going. I want to see what I'm into it.
I'm into because I see where the journey goes, where
the journey is.
Speaker 4 (05:21):
Okay, maybe you like this next song, jump and jump in,
all right, and maybe we can throw Kevin in there finally.
Speaker 1 (05:29):
Hinged the unhinged or jump.
Speaker 4 (05:33):
In go ahead, Kevin.
Speaker 2 (05:37):
Never if you asked me how this tour would start out,
never ever would I have put these two songs. Okay,
you know, I trust Andrew and he creates. He creates
a story narrative. I want you.
Speaker 3 (05:56):
We're wrong about loser like me the first time, Kevin.
So you know what, We're not always right exactly.
Speaker 2 (06:01):
No, that's why I am. I'm not judging.
Speaker 4 (06:04):
Yes, okay, fine, we listen and we don't judge.
Speaker 2 (06:06):
Yeah, right, well, I'm listening. I might judge later, but
right now.
Speaker 4 (06:10):
Okay, all right, so jump and jump in Dusty's Child
Beyonce hit. Alex Newell is like, okay, I want to
do Beyonce number. If I were a boy, it's going
it's going crazy. And then at the end this, this
might get me canceled.
Speaker 2 (06:28):
All right, at the end of if.
Speaker 4 (06:30):
I were a boy, everybody's like unique. We don't care
like how you identify like anything. We just care if
you whether you're a Katie or a Gaga. And then
they go into wide awake on this. Of course it
has to be Jenna. You're so wrong about this. I
don't Jenna, why don't you like this?
Speaker 2 (06:50):
Because sometimes she has bad taste?
Speaker 4 (06:53):
Okay, I have questions, but ask him.
Speaker 3 (06:58):
Into it, you know, well, I gotta listen to it. Again,
there's something about it that just didn't hit. And mostly
it's like my performance, I think, like my vocals on it.
I don't know it just it felt like one of
those ones that like should hit but didn't for me.
Speaker 1 (07:16):
I don't know, I but I understand. I get it.
I get it, and like.
Speaker 2 (07:21):
I don't believe you. I don't think you do.
Speaker 4 (07:23):
I think in another another like ten years, you know,
maybe then it's like wine.
Speaker 1 (07:37):
Okay, I like this. If I were a boy into
Wide Awake.
Speaker 2 (07:40):
I get it.
Speaker 4 (07:41):
I get And then Jake, of course part of Wide Awake,
give me the remnation you are you were you were
tapped into my Google document right.
Speaker 1 (07:51):
Now, I got you.
Speaker 2 (07:53):
I feel the hacker.
Speaker 1 (07:54):
I feel this.
Speaker 4 (07:55):
Okay, nasty redmination. Marley is pissed, and so you can
see like the screen behind the stage starts to crack,
and then this is full budget wrecking ball, Thank you,
wrecking Ball, bust through the stage. I don't know how
any of that works. She's on it.
Speaker 2 (08:12):
Don't worry about it. With budget, you can do anything.
Speaker 1 (08:15):
Exactly, okay.
Speaker 4 (08:16):
And then it's y'all's time to shine with my love
and you're never gonna get it.
Speaker 3 (08:24):
Wow.
Speaker 4 (08:25):
I had two tardy duets to choose from, and I
chose the more chaotic one. Yeah, clearly, Jenny, you still
push Kevin out of the chair at the end, but
then you pick them up. Artie's like, I'm okay, we'll
get over this. Go in to break Away with Darren.
Speaker 5 (08:43):
Okay, okay, from the floor into one of our favorite songs,
right right right, Okay, I'll be like, but already, yes,
what we get to breakaway?
Speaker 1 (08:56):
So yeah, yeah, okay.
Speaker 4 (08:57):
The lights go down and then you hear and then
it's going marching band comes out. Maybe they just like
go through the aisles, got to get you into my
life clean.
Speaker 2 (09:08):
Wow.
Speaker 4 (09:08):
Now we're in the beating section, okay, and then hey
Jude led by uh Tina, Kitty Blaine and Sam otherwise
known as Titty Blam, and then we go into Breeze
right past that. Yeah, we're gonna go into uh let
it be, and then Jenny, you're gonna start revolution, Bell's
(09:32):
gonna ring, everyone's gonna leave, and then you're like, no, actually,
lock the doors. I'm going to finish this number for.
Speaker 3 (09:38):
Once locked the doors, locked into let's have a.
Speaker 1 (09:47):
I love that.
Speaker 3 (09:48):
I don't even know what Tina's version of the full
version of Revolution sounds like, so we're here for it.
Speaker 2 (09:54):
We only ever get that full version live, which I love,
love it exclusive exclusive.
Speaker 4 (10:00):
I ticked the tour and then finishing out this beatles
little uh segment with Santana bringing out Danny and singing
here comes the Sun. Yes, okay. And then so after
that performance Sametime, it's like, Danny, you know you're great
and all, but I don't think you're for me. Heather
(10:23):
Morris at the top of the rafters, I'm thinking she's
like singing Valerie from like she makes her way to
the stage, singing Valerie. Once Heather Morris is on the stage,
nian Heather together, they're like, oh, we're just missing one person, Diana.
They go into Toxic Yes. Then Gwyneth Paltrow and the
(10:43):
rest of everybody else comes out party all the time
the foam falls from the ceiling. I never like realized that, like,
y'all weren't part of that number.
Speaker 1 (10:55):
We were shooting something else.
Speaker 2 (10:57):
I think probably you know, it got busy, we were
a little we were a little behind.
Speaker 3 (11:03):
There was something, there is something a huge relief when
I read it and was like, I'm not in that.
And then when I watched it back this time round,
I was like, I wish.
Speaker 1 (11:13):
I was in that.
Speaker 2 (11:13):
Oh yeah, you know that was really bad fomo. Yeah, yeah,
it is such a good number.
Speaker 4 (11:19):
It's so good Okay, okay, And so Gwyneth is like,
I think you all are ready for Nationals. Go to
Skylar Aston doing mister Vado counting stars.
Speaker 2 (11:31):
That gives us time to also clean the foam off
the stage because we can.
Speaker 4 (11:37):
Okay, And then you guys do the entire National set
list more than a feeling. America found what I'm looking for. Yeah,
are we surprised that we're including the entire America?
Speaker 2 (11:50):
A little bit?
Speaker 1 (11:51):
America a little bit? But I do love America.
Speaker 2 (11:53):
I do too.
Speaker 4 (11:55):
I couldn't cut you know that. No favoritism, I don't.
Speaker 2 (11:59):
I don't like am I don't love America independently, but
the trio, yeah, I love it.
Speaker 4 (12:05):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (12:06):
If America comes on though, I'll listen to it now.
Speaker 2 (12:09):
I will. What is it about our version made me
really like that song?
Speaker 3 (12:15):
I think it's that it's like the background books were
really cool. Okay, Yeah, yeah, no, I'm into it.
Speaker 2 (12:21):
Okay, So I.
Speaker 4 (12:24):
So goody. Both you guys are paired off Kevin and
Alex Yes.
Speaker 2 (12:28):
Yeah, yeah, Alex is just like go went off.
Speaker 4 (12:32):
It's great National set lists to a close, Let's go down.
You just hear the speaker, well we lost. I feel
like a loser. And then like you hear y'all's voices
like me, like me, we hear Cordon Darren like me,
like me, loser like me? Season five version. Yes, frankly,
(12:55):
the superior version of ladser like me.
Speaker 1 (12:57):
I'll say, really living thank you.
Speaker 4 (13:00):
Transitions here, Yeah, okay, we're getting We're nearing the end,
all right, so Cordon Darren are like, okay, high school's over.
Time to move out, moving out. Now Here comes the
New York set from the stage. From the bottom of
(13:23):
the stage comes a giant, giant replica of the carousel
from Brooklyn Bridge Park. Absolutely yeah, wow, Yes, we go
into Natural Woman. It's spinning the.
Speaker 1 (13:37):
We need it.
Speaker 2 (13:38):
I have chills. Can you imagine the choreography they could
do on there with everybody like heightened version. Oh, it'd beautiful.
Speaker 4 (13:45):
It's great, Frankly, not talked about enough mar solos. I
feel correct, definitely okay, And so then we see I
just saw Sunset Boulevard the other night. This is full
better than I obviously heard the reviews and they were
all insane, but this was it went above and beyond that.
(14:06):
So I'm borrowing a gimmick from this. Okay, Okay, So
we see on the screen behind the stage, Uh, you know,
a camera going up to Rachel's dressing room. There's a
very in the the star on the wall Rachel's dressing room.
They're like, Rachel, it's time for your number. It's time
for your number. Open the door. It's not Rachel, it's Santana. Yes,
(14:31):
we're going into Santana's Uh, don't run my parade.
Speaker 2 (14:34):
Stanna's dump, Andrew, Andrew, I have full chills, don't I
need it so bad? I have full chills loving. Okay,
you're a psycho. This is so good because like Leah
did it.
Speaker 4 (14:48):
I think she did, like both tours, like yeah, the
whole aisle thing. Yeah do it. Okay, you need it?
Speaker 1 (14:56):
So wow, that's really good. All right, that's bad.
Speaker 2 (15:00):
That is cinema.
Speaker 1 (15:02):
Yeah that is yes, yes, you can.
Speaker 2 (15:05):
See it right the lighting backstage.
Speaker 1 (15:07):
Yeah, I can totally okay into.
Speaker 2 (15:09):
It passing us in the hallway and oh right.
Speaker 1 (15:13):
Yeah yes by the water cooler.
Speaker 3 (15:17):
Yeah, oh yeah, okay, okay.
Speaker 4 (15:22):
So Rachel's waiting for for Santana on stage and she
is livid and goes into one of y'all's favorite numbers, Gloria. Yes,
they're battling it out. Yes, it's present, it's yes, okay,
(15:42):
and then out comes clean and they're like, Okay, this
is a this is a flimsy transition.
Speaker 2 (15:49):
Okay.
Speaker 4 (15:49):
Santana and Rachel are fighting and so are we, I guess,
and they go into Love is a Battlefield and they're fencing.
Speaker 2 (15:55):
Yes, yes, and then you have this stage in your
mind like kind of why I have an idea for this? Okay,
So do you know how well it was a botched performance,
not any of their fault, but on the Grammys, like
(16:16):
two or three years ago, when Harry Styles had like
the rotating stage if they could be on if like
the platform came out of the stage right and it's
raising up so they're above stage level on like a
turning platform as they're doing this dancers. Sorry, that's where
(16:36):
I'm going with this, and it's like all black. It's
like a maybe the stage is like lit, it's all white,
so it's just spotlights and black on the back of them.
You have like the dancers coming in to help them move.
Speaker 1 (16:48):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (16:49):
Perfect right, glad we got that figured out. This is
a problem. I was gonna be up all night.
Speaker 4 (16:58):
Oh my god, what are we gonna do with love?
Is at the end of Love is a battlefield. The
crew members are harnessing a harness onto Christ Yes for
correct in the Google document for Lucky Star.
Speaker 2 (17:16):
Yeah, bitch, let him fly.
Speaker 3 (17:18):
I feel like Lucky Star needs to be like pinked
in on her tour in that like three sixty harness,
like across the whole stadium like arena, you know.
Speaker 2 (17:28):
Yes, see that's what that's the trick. He's already in
the harness. We don't know what during that was a
battlefield and then he just goes and then Blaine pushes
him off. Yeah, the thing so we think he's gonna
fall and but just flies.
Speaker 4 (17:40):
Oh my god, this is good.
Speaker 2 (17:41):
I just got chilled.
Speaker 3 (17:42):
I also think that everybody should be all the dancers
should be in fencing uniforms and like fencing with faceless
you know, masks, so that it looks like Blaine and Kurt.
Speaker 4 (17:52):
You know what, It's the same thing that happened last
time that I talked to you all about the season
four towards that I'm like, I got I'm getting too
excited for something that's.
Speaker 3 (18:00):
Not going create for us.
Speaker 2 (18:05):
We don't even let that out there because of course
you can't, Okay, So, uh, Chris call pursuing Lucky Star.
Speaker 4 (18:19):
He's doing his best pink impression going around the uh
the arena, and of course he's like, ladies and gentlemen,
June Squib and like all these twelve year old girls
that don't have any context for June Swib is going
crazy and they're like, oh my god, we love you, June.
And then we get into take me Home tonight. Maybe
(18:41):
I don't this. This feels terrible, just like unleashing, just
like dogs that need rest, that need homes into the
arena it likes to just take home.
Speaker 1 (18:55):
We've really we've really become unhinged here.
Speaker 2 (18:59):
Oh yeah, yeah, that might get you canceled.
Speaker 6 (19:01):
Okay, plus dogs letting dogs go home to a that's
not okay, and then okay, and so.
Speaker 4 (19:13):
Then there's so many people on stage. Everybody clears out
except for Rachel. She does glitter in the air, but
when she gets the part where she sings like calling
me Sugar, it's Vanessa Lenngi's Sugar Mata now in the
harness and she's going around the arena as pink. It's
(19:43):
bothered me so much every time.
Speaker 2 (19:46):
That's stupid.
Speaker 4 (19:47):
This every time I'm like, Rachel, you you, you're singing.
I know that's the lyric calling me sugar, but there's
already a character on this show aimed sugar.
Speaker 2 (20:01):
Let her have it.
Speaker 4 (20:02):
And so this is the moment I'm dead. Okay, okay,
And then final number, you know you had to do
it to him, Pompey and everybody, everybody comes out on
stage again. We got Adam Lambert, we got Demi Levado,
we got jew and Squib, we got yeah, yeah, let's
(20:25):
go down. And then now here's the encore. You hear
on the on the surround sound, make some noise if
your katie, where my guts at? A crazy goes into encore,
starts with Marry the Night, into applause, then roar wow,
(20:52):
and we got we got the vines, we got all
the fits. Yeah, it's insane. Yeah. And then one final
bonus number, we got to do the Fox of course
with the puppets. I think you guys are.
Speaker 3 (21:06):
Starting with lord lines and we're closing with what the
Fox say.
Speaker 4 (21:11):
Yeah, the two best songs of season five.
Speaker 1 (21:14):
Now you're really canceled.
Speaker 4 (21:16):
Yeah no, but I feel like you got to go
back or go home. So that's that's wow.
Speaker 1 (21:22):
Wow wow wow wow wow.
Speaker 2 (21:24):
Wow, Andrew, you hate I think. I think there's a
lot of a lot of great things here.
Speaker 1 (21:31):
Yes, I agree, I'm into it.
Speaker 3 (21:34):
I think the middle section, act two, if you will.
Speaker 1 (21:38):
If we're breaking hands, this is the three acts.
Speaker 3 (21:40):
Act two is our strongest act here, Andrew, I think excellent.
All right, I think your transitions are excellent. I think
this is well thought out. This is more well thought
out than I had for my tour.
Speaker 1 (21:53):
I would I would swap out some songs.
Speaker 3 (21:57):
I'm going to offer some some options for swap out,
and I'm going to offer some opening and closing changes.
Speaker 2 (22:04):
Okay, and my vision is independently almost the exact same
as Jenna's. Oh really yeah yeah, I read Jenna's listen.
I was like, okay, well this is the same except
maybe three songs.
Speaker 3 (22:18):
Wow, that's fascinating. Okay, my opening was actually your closing.
So my opening was applause.
Speaker 4 (22:27):
Oh oh that's fine, Like we opened.
Speaker 3 (22:30):
With applause, and like maybe it's not just Chord who
does the crazy opening video that Penny sees, but like, oh,
multiple cast members doing that hated and like doing that
to the camera. I love it into roar and then
I'm adding on our.
Speaker 4 (22:50):
Way, okay, hitten bob.
Speaker 3 (22:53):
Yeah, that's why it's a hidden Bob and I feel
like it's a crowd pleaser and I feel like it
gets people up on their.
Speaker 1 (23:01):
I also have to include.
Speaker 4 (23:05):
Do wop Okay, yes, yes?
Speaker 3 (23:08):
Now could that be the camera a live camera moment Jenna?
Speaker 2 (23:16):
That's Jenna, you.
Speaker 3 (23:17):
Know, because we're walking through bathroom warehouses and weird underneath
elevators because that's New York vibe.
Speaker 1 (23:31):
So that's those are my my opening options.
Speaker 2 (23:34):
Can I make a pitch there because I think this
is where we can start combining some of these things.
The gag of Santana being revealed to be in Rachel's
dressing room is so good that I think you have
to do that first, right. Then Santana comes out and
does r my parade, so that's how we get introduced
(23:57):
to the camera thing. And then she's like, hold on,
I missing somebody, and then the camera got another camera.
Oh good, goes backstage and find Mercedes. Yeah, and we
follow Mercedes out to the stage and then they perform.
Speaker 4 (24:12):
Yeah, they finish, praise and do up that thing existing
in the same concert and can you imagine?
Speaker 1 (24:21):
Oh god, Okay, yes, I like that, Kevin, I like that.
Speaker 4 (24:24):
Okay.
Speaker 3 (24:28):
Oh, let me think here. I have to add back
in whenever I call you friends. So I'm gonna swap
that out.
Speaker 4 (24:34):
Okay, I'm gonna.
Speaker 2 (24:35):
Swap it out.
Speaker 4 (24:36):
Are we keeping both tardy duets?
Speaker 3 (24:38):
Are we replacing I don't know, because I like dropping
him out of the wheelchair and to break away.
Speaker 2 (24:44):
That's what you like about that place, you.
Speaker 1 (24:47):
Know, it's the transition, Jenna.
Speaker 4 (24:53):
I'm just pushing you down every night.
Speaker 1 (24:55):
I'm sorry. It's just I'm not going to knock you
out of the chair.
Speaker 2 (24:58):
But I do think that I would not be able
to do that.
Speaker 3 (25:02):
Okay, fine, Maybe you could be in the the rewalk.
Speaker 1 (25:10):
And you and you fall out and Tina picks you up.
Speaker 2 (25:14):
How do we kick.
Speaker 4 (25:17):
Just did a crazy face bomb?
Speaker 1 (25:24):
This tour is also unhinched already that I'm not.
Speaker 3 (25:29):
I'm leaning into it, okay, Okay, So I have another
proposal for you, Andrew. I love that you brought sugar
Matta back into this because we did not get enough Vanessa.
Speaker 4 (25:42):
She's not in season five period.
Speaker 3 (25:44):
Yeah, it's just feels so when when Rachel singing got
in the air, which was in my encore can be
moved up and then sure comes to her through she says,
guess what, bitches, I'm back, and I brought my trouble
(26:05):
tones with me. I had a trouble Tone reunion in this,
and I had Stronger, I had Rumor has It and
Survivor in there is a middle thing kind of like
the Warblers did on our tours, where like they had
a segment where like we.
Speaker 1 (26:18):
Got to rest for a second. So I'm into this.
Speaker 3 (26:21):
Let's bring Sugar back and then let's just really lean
into it and let's bring all the trouble Tones back.
Speaker 4 (26:27):
I love you were valuing of course, like resting in
between songs something that I'm not even considered. I'm like,
the most chaotic set.
Speaker 3 (26:36):
I really had a chaotic A Tina had a chaotic
set in like at the second half of the tour
into the encore because I was in like almost every
number of the encore and that was crazy and I
loved it.
Speaker 1 (26:49):
I loved it.
Speaker 3 (26:50):
Every night it was like the most fun. And but
there was something about when the Warblers went out and
we got to like hang out for second, we all
got to like regroup with each other, and the girls
would hang out in like the changing area under the
stage and do chances, and the boys would come visit.
Speaker 1 (27:07):
So I appreciate that.
Speaker 2 (27:09):
Yeah, yeah, for sure, Jimmy, you have a really nice moment.
And sorry, I'm like blowing up your You're set here,
that's okay, but you had a really like sweet moment
with the best day of my life whenever I call
you friend and to break away, which I really enjoy.
Speaker 1 (27:25):
Okay, okay, But then I.
Speaker 2 (27:27):
Think we go into Andrew's vision of the one hundred
numbers and I think we swap some things. I think
Brittany's like, boo, this is boring, and then she drops
down from the ceiling yeah and starts toxic.
Speaker 1 (27:42):
Yeah, yeah, I had toxic as well.
Speaker 3 (27:45):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (27:46):
I think toxic after like a really sweet little like
interstitial is fine.
Speaker 3 (27:51):
Oh, I see where you're going with that. You had
toxic too, okay.
Speaker 2 (27:55):
Yes, and so toxic into then she gets down they
going to I think Diana State's out there for Valerie,
bring her into.
Speaker 1 (28:04):
The fold, bring Harry in there.
Speaker 2 (28:06):
Yeah, okay, yeah, and then and then I think you
can go into your and then Brittany ends it. It's
like you, guys, the rest of your this is how
it's done. The rest of your are losers. And then
you go into the Andrews loser like Me, Like me,
Like me, and then we come out and do Loser
(28:27):
Like Me acoustic version, but it goes into the original,
the original version.
Speaker 4 (28:36):
Oh whoa, I do like that, okay, ending with the
slushy Cops competti.
Speaker 2 (28:43):
Definitely got to do it all.
Speaker 3 (28:45):
Okay, great, great, I have one other swap there as well.
Maybe not a swap, but somewhere in there. I think
we need to find a place to put in people.
Speaker 4 (29:00):
Okay, oh yeah, we have to put.
Speaker 1 (29:02):
People in there. And it doesn't have to be like
Jane doesn't have to be there. We just we could
make it Rachel solo.
Speaker 4 (29:08):
Yes, oh, I understood what you're saying, like who are you?
Who are you now? Sort of thing? Was that?
Speaker 3 (29:15):
Was that the number?
Speaker 1 (29:16):
Who are you now?
Speaker 4 (29:18):
Are you talking about the Rachel s funny girl? Yes?
Speaker 3 (29:20):
Yes, yes, yes, yeah, yeah, yeah, who are now?
Speaker 1 (29:23):
Sorry?
Speaker 2 (29:24):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (29:24):
Not not people? Who are you now?
Speaker 5 (29:26):
Then?
Speaker 1 (29:27):
Yeah? And putting that in there, and we can make
it a solo instead.
Speaker 4 (29:31):
Oh yeah, as God intended. Sorry Jane Lynch, but.
Speaker 2 (29:34):
Could totally We love Jane, but you know you could
do something like incredible with that number.
Speaker 1 (29:40):
That's what I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (29:43):
Yes, I need like the costume to almost be a
defying gravity moment where it's like it's like the back
of the dress or like a train or something just
starts expanding and gets bigger and bigger as she's like
singing it.
Speaker 3 (30:00):
Put it on a cherry picker, you know, do it? Yeah,
put her over the audience. We're really going big with
this one. We're having the three sixty harness, let's do
the cherry picker.
Speaker 4 (30:11):
Britney's coming from the money.
Speaker 3 (30:13):
Yeah, I think so, we may as well lean into
it and then Chris. If Chris is doing it, then
maybe we're doing it and roar. We could do over
the audience as well. Yeah okay, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 2 (30:27):
Yeah, okay.
Speaker 3 (30:30):
The only other thing that I had was and I
had closed out with it.
Speaker 1 (30:34):
I closed out the show with it was Somebody to Love.
Speaker 2 (30:37):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (30:38):
I brought the people back. I brought the people back.
Speaker 4 (30:41):
I just I like Somebody to Love like all jokes aside,
best song on Gley, Like, I feel like it's almost
like unspoken that it's like of course.
Speaker 1 (30:51):
So it's like it's like the.
Speaker 3 (30:55):
And it's not underrated at all, but it's like the
underrated version of Don't Stop Believing.
Speaker 1 (30:59):
It's like it's not as overplayed.
Speaker 3 (31:01):
It's not totally and like it's so good. It's one
of my favorite numbers that we ever did, like performed,
and I'm glad you said that from your and like,
I think it is one of the best songs, if
not the best song we were done.
Speaker 4 (31:17):
It's really great. Yeah, because the first number that those yeah,
the whole group do together, that's yeah, chills.
Speaker 2 (31:32):
Amendments here. I think we end help me work this out, Andrew, Okay,
because I think we need Here Comes the Sun in here.
I'm cool with cutting out all the other Beatles songs
except Here Comes the Sun.
Speaker 3 (31:51):
I had no other Beatles songs in there as well.
Yeah here Comes the Sun?
Speaker 4 (31:55):
Wow?
Speaker 1 (31:56):
Yeah, you know, did you like the Beatles stuff?
Speaker 4 (32:00):
I wasn't like the I just like chose like my favorites.
They got to get you in my life. Hey, Jude,
let it be revolution what we got of it and
Here Comes the Sun, but like beyond thought, Yeah, yeah,
I wasn't like the biggest hand. I like also didn't
include a lot of Billy Joel either, only including.
Speaker 2 (32:17):
Even I.
Speaker 5 (32:19):
O.
Speaker 1 (32:20):
I did I included Honesty in there?
Speaker 2 (32:22):
Oh yeah, I don't think that's right for this.
Speaker 1 (32:26):
Kevin say that, but like it's such a good song.
Speaker 2 (32:30):
Yeah, but like I hadn't want to see in an arena.
Speaker 3 (32:34):
I had if I were a boy, Marry the Night,
natural woman and Honesty.
Speaker 1 (32:39):
That's the grouping I had it with.
Speaker 2 (32:41):
That's not fair. That's not fair to me. That is
would you I would swap that for Addicted to Love?
Speaker 4 (32:47):
That's what I was about to say. Yeah, would you
want to perform Addicted to Love live?
Speaker 2 (32:53):
I don't know if I could. I don't. I don't
love that song necessarily, but I think performance wise it
could be really fun.
Speaker 3 (33:03):
Yeah, I agree, Okay, that's fine, we can swip it.
Speaker 2 (33:07):
It could because then the energy like I need Adam
there for Mary the Night like that has to happen.
That is absolutely insane. I need Demi. Therefore, Here Comes
the Sun. That's beautiful, and I think we need to
do the entire national set list. I think that's a
non negotiable.
Speaker 4 (33:28):
I one thing that just like sprung up my mind.
As you were talking about Addicted to Love and also
talking about Demi and Adam, I almost feel feel free
to shut this down. Both of their voices would I think,
like a trio performance of Addicted to Love with you
Adam and Demi would be crazy on that.
Speaker 1 (33:48):
I do it, do it.
Speaker 2 (33:51):
I would hate myself to do it. You have to
be trying to keep up with those two. Are you
out of your mind?
Speaker 4 (34:00):
No, chill, chill, you.
Speaker 1 (34:02):
Could do it. I think we have to do that.
Speaker 2 (34:05):
Okay, I'm all for that, but that would be psycho.
I would be so happy when that number was over.
Speaker 4 (34:11):
It would be so it would be so good. Kevin,
you like literally have only second to Noah Guthrie. Yes,
like the second best male vocal.
Speaker 2 (34:22):
Yes, oh my gosh, thank you so thank you. That
is a very big compliment. Thank you good. Noah's voice is.
Speaker 1 (34:33):
Stupid, like wait till we get him on the.
Speaker 2 (34:36):
He came on. I remember when he first showed up
and we heard his voice like, You're like, oh, we
have needed where have you been? I'm like, finally, Oh, and.
Speaker 3 (34:46):
There's only twelve episodes left Butter Butter, He's so good.
Speaker 1 (34:51):
Oh God, he's so good.
Speaker 3 (34:54):
I also had and because we're kind of leaning into
the rivalry between Santana and Rachel the dressing room and
ran on my parade. I also had Brave in there.
Speaker 4 (35:07):
Mm hmm.
Speaker 1 (35:08):
And I wonder if, like i'd like to see it,
we could add.
Speaker 3 (35:11):
Santana into more of a duet for Brave and we do, like, yeah,
we see them kind of come together at the end
and put put that on like a button on their
little rivalry.
Speaker 4 (35:26):
Oh, they'll be cute. Yeah, it would be really cute
instead of be okay, which I'm glad that we kind
of all agree.
Speaker 3 (35:32):
Yeah, we're not okay, beautiful, We're not okay with that
beautiful gowns.
Speaker 4 (35:37):
Beautiful gown, beautiful gown.
Speaker 3 (35:39):
Yeah, be okay, not okay. Yeah, we could be without it, okay. Yes, yes,
we're doing Brave and I.
Speaker 2 (35:49):
Would like to see Brave, okay, Yeah, anything else, any
any other I think?
Speaker 1 (35:58):
And here's I have to say.
Speaker 3 (36:00):
I did put Wide Awake in my encore Okay, so
I don't hate it that much.
Speaker 2 (36:04):
I think it's a great encore song.
Speaker 1 (36:07):
That's what I thought.
Speaker 2 (36:07):
I think that's really nice.
Speaker 3 (36:08):
It's kind of like your Friday number, but like you know, yeah.
Speaker 4 (36:14):
We didn't Friday get like cut from the tour after
a cute yeah, because it was so bad. Was it
just like poorly received? What was going on?
Speaker 2 (36:24):
No, it was it's a bit of a mask. Oh okay,
yeah it was.
Speaker 1 (36:29):
It was a bit of.
Speaker 2 (36:29):
A don't let boys like have to figure something out
on their own. Well, the girls went out there and
did an acoustic number, that shit would be tight.
Speaker 1 (36:40):
We would have went out there with like tell him.
Speaker 2 (36:43):
Yeah. It was like people were strumming the guitar at
different times. People did have hearts and harmonies. It was
it was like a weird thing.
Speaker 3 (36:57):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (36:57):
I think Ryan really wanted that number to happen in
the encore. I think that's why it happened.
Speaker 4 (37:01):
What was the moment?
Speaker 2 (37:02):
Yeah, and I think people.
Speaker 1 (37:05):
Liked the song when it was us. It's just like
it didn't know what it wanted to be.
Speaker 2 (37:11):
Kind of Yeah, we didn't do our, we didn't hold
up our end of the and.
Speaker 1 (37:14):
Really like.
Speaker 3 (37:16):
Chris also, there was something about like needing the number
but not needing like an extra number. And because Chris
had to get from the Beast, the C stage, B stage,
the B stage on the where he did single Ladies
to get back to get Ready for Somebody to Love,
and then me and Heather and everybody else included in that,
(37:38):
and there needed to be like numbers in between the numbers, you.
Speaker 2 (37:42):
Know, and then we figured out we didn't need it.
I could just talk more during certain sections and then
that would fill the time, right, So that's what I did.
I would like to say things we have to include,
like Andrew had some hits here, Like we need the fencing,
(38:02):
we need Gloria. We have to have the carousel. You
have to we have to have the phone party and
GP on that stage.
Speaker 1 (38:14):
Squib has to come.
Speaker 3 (38:15):
We have to have I like miss having mister Roboto
in there too, like having our like rivalry in.
Speaker 2 (38:22):
There because we don't be so fun on tour.
Speaker 1 (38:24):
Yeah, we also don't have like vocal adrenaline on tour.
Speaker 2 (38:27):
So yeah, I need oh and the nasty rhythmation into
Wrecking Ball it was brilliant. I need a full scaffolding set.
I need and like fans going with coming through you know, black.
Speaker 1 (38:44):
And white on like the monitors. So a music video absolutely, Like.
Speaker 4 (38:49):
I wasn't even thinking about that, but the scaffolding from
nasty rhythmation. Oh yeah, if you've had that, and this
is so dangerous. But of course this exists only in
our minds. If we had the scaffolding and that's just
buzzed down by the wrecking ball on.
Speaker 2 (39:04):
It exactly, Well, what you could do, I imagine is
if you had it. Okay, we're gonna break it into thirds,
so you have like the lower level that's all one piece,
going like horizontally across. Imagine that. Let's say it's four
Let's say there's like three floors to the scaffolding, yeah,
or one left to right is all connected in one piece.
(39:28):
Now the upper two floors are connected, they're separated in
the middle midway, and so it will appear as the
wrecking ball comes through those the left and right sides
will be will crack and be lifted to the ceiling. Yes, okay,
lifted away, and then she can come down the wrecking
ball and then she has the bottom level of the
(39:51):
scaffolding to perform on herself.
Speaker 4 (39:53):
Oh good, incredible love.
Speaker 2 (39:56):
We're directing a show here, you guys. Maybe awesome is right.
Austin has always said he wanted me to see what
I would do if I directed.
Speaker 1 (40:03):
A musical Kevin, can we just do it?
Speaker 2 (40:05):
Maybe this?
Speaker 1 (40:06):
Are we doing this at this sphere?
Speaker 3 (40:08):
That's what I.
Speaker 2 (40:08):
Wanted to talk about before we before we end. This
is okay, like, yeah, what does the touring route look like?
I think we I don't know if this the sphere
was down the pop in my head, but yeah, this
the Sphere. I don't know if they can support all
these grand ideas.
Speaker 4 (40:25):
The hardness in the sphere seems crazy.
Speaker 2 (40:27):
Right, Yeah, I don't you can't build those huge sets
in the sphere. Yeah, and I don't know if like
having a bunch of like teens go to Vegas to watch.
I know our fans are anymore.
Speaker 3 (40:40):
We absolutely said, because I want to be Vegas the
whole time.
Speaker 4 (40:43):
Yeah, you're right, I have been to the Sphere? Have
you both been?
Speaker 1 (40:47):
No, No, we want to go boys there.
Speaker 2 (40:51):
We could do the arena in Vegas.
Speaker 1 (40:52):
Though, Yeah, we could totally in Vegas.
Speaker 2 (40:55):
I think we have to do arenas. I think we
make if this is the big production we're doing, I
think this is like again a world tour. I think
we got to show up. Wow, maybe it's a Taylor
Swift type situation where we drag it out over two years.
Yeah you know, well.
Speaker 4 (41:11):
I'm this okay, so looking forward to possible like season six,
when you guys are done season six and we're talking
about a tour for that. Are we talking about a
season six tour? Are we talking about like a Taylor
swift eras I think higher capsulation?
Speaker 1 (41:27):
Yeah, the whole series.
Speaker 2 (41:29):
Yeah, it's a for sure.
Speaker 4 (41:32):
Oh I'm gonna need to have some time with that one.
Speaker 3 (41:34):
Yeah. Yeah, prepare now because we are Yeah okay, wait
you mentioned Okay, well number one, thank you for having
such a well thought out, creative plan for.
Speaker 1 (41:47):
Our season five tour.
Speaker 3 (41:49):
You season six is coming, We're about to embark on
a trip.
Speaker 2 (41:58):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (41:58):
I have no collection of season six whatsoever.
Speaker 4 (42:02):
Shocking, that's crazy. I heard the entire journey of you
guys being like, oh, we should have done a Carol
King episode, and then like I was like, oh, I
feel insane listening to this, and then like a few
hours later I get to the episode where you're like, oh,
by the way, we do have a.
Speaker 3 (42:21):
It's like, well, yeah, yeah, no, why do.
Speaker 2 (42:25):
People listen to it?
Speaker 4 (42:28):
It's so funny. I love when I get you guys
and like these like stupid things. I'm like, I wasn't
there and it happens all the time.
Speaker 1 (42:36):
Is it true that we do let it go in
this season?
Speaker 4 (42:39):
Yeah? Well that's a Rachel solo at the end of
the premiere episode.
Speaker 1 (42:44):
Okay, this is crazy.
Speaker 2 (42:46):
Wait, she just let it go.
Speaker 3 (42:47):
My daughter listens to that every single day. I hear
it in my nightmares. And I just looked on season
six Wikipedia and was like, that's not our that let.
Speaker 2 (42:55):
It go, because I would like, I would like to
hear Lia sing that.
Speaker 3 (42:59):
No, she can, she could rip that apart, tightrope. Okay,
all right, there's a lot of stuff coming. Tell me,
tell us, is there anything that we should or should
not expect from season six as a whole season?
Speaker 1 (43:13):
Music? Like, what what are your feelings about it?
Speaker 4 (43:17):
Okay, season six? I was one of the like, maybe
like the dozen people that's so sorry that we're watching
a lot my freshman year of college.
Speaker 2 (43:28):
I think that was generous.
Speaker 4 (43:30):
Okay, on Friday nights too, And so I'm like, it
was Friday nights, do you.
Speaker 1 (43:36):
Know, Yeah, it was really moved.
Speaker 4 (43:40):
Okay, yeah, I was watching it. It was Okay, there's
no there's no one to talk about it. With anymore
and yeah, aah that's why I'm here today. Okay, So
it's good. I feel like the season starts off in
like a really like good direction, really good arc. Like
the third episode of This U Coming season season six,
(44:02):
the Carol King Alenis morrisat episode, is one of the
strongest episodes of the series. I like musically as well,
so much fun mashups is had in that episode. Okay, So,
but like as the season gets going on really lean
into the wackiness. We get a lot of like maybe
(44:23):
like the beginning of season five, sort of the tone. Okay,
but then it finds itself as it continues wet, the
pretend a wedding, the pretend of clean wedding, sorry of course.
And then and then we have the two thousand and
nine and we we finished up the series. I just
remember like watching the series finale and being like, oh wow,
(44:44):
that's it's over now. And there's like I was like, well,
what did everyone think? I look around and there's no
one there, you.
Speaker 1 (44:50):
Know, Yeah, fascinating. Okay, it's quick, it's really quick.
Speaker 4 (44:56):
It's a quick season.
Speaker 3 (44:58):
Yeah, what do you what were your feelings about like
a new new class?
Speaker 4 (45:05):
Okay, so this is like I thought was a hot
take but is like shared by a number many a
gleek yeah that the season six cast is like a
more fun and eclectic group than the season four Yeah group.
It's like they're they're really more to borrow a name
(45:26):
from a season four newbie unique, They're more unique than
the season four Yeah newbies. And it's unfortunately the unfortunate
that we didn't have as much time with the season
six cast because there's so much fun yeah there.
Speaker 3 (45:39):
I remember them being very funny like and having like
a really good chemistry within their group, Like I remember
watching Behind the Monitors ones with like.
Speaker 1 (45:47):
Laura and Billy right, and it.
Speaker 4 (45:49):
Was yeah, yeah, very funny and also crazy vocalist like
not just Noah Guthrie, like Santa Ware Billy Lewis like.
Speaker 3 (45:57):
Yeah, yeah, okay, God, I'm.
Speaker 2 (46:01):
Exciting to come back to me and flashes here because
I feel like I know them all so well, and
then I still can't believe they're not on the show yet.
Speaker 1 (46:11):
Did you spend a lot of time with them.
Speaker 2 (46:13):
Kevin, I'm I feel like I.
Speaker 3 (46:16):
Were you in that choir Were you back in that
choir room with I don't even know how they do
it like Lea goes back and Kirk goes back, like
I don't actually don't even want to know, but like
I don't. I don't remember any of this.
Speaker 2 (46:28):
I must have been because like I was around Marshall
and Laura, you knew.
Speaker 1 (46:32):
All of them, Like you would tell me about them
and I'd be like.
Speaker 3 (46:35):
I don't.
Speaker 2 (46:36):
I didn't know Phineas and oh, Phineas else. I didn't
know something like the people who came in later.
Speaker 1 (46:43):
I didn't know if Phineas was on the show at all.
Speaker 4 (46:46):
Wait, this is not you finding out No, no, no, I know, now, Okay, when.
Speaker 3 (46:50):
Billy started to come up, you know, like and Kevin's like,
you know, Phineas is on her show, and I was like,
excuse me, yeah, Like I was that out of.
Speaker 2 (46:58):
The Like I think I only met Phineas during I.
Speaker 3 (47:02):
Lived, ohlier than I am.
Speaker 4 (47:09):
Until like the few last episodes of the of the
season's love interests for Marshall's character, right, yeah.
Speaker 2 (47:17):
But like I just, oh my god, they played gay
that's right.
Speaker 4 (47:21):
Yeah. How about Josie Toda? Hello, yeah, Josie.
Speaker 2 (47:25):
I also like didn't really get to spend much time.
Speaker 1 (47:27):
With, right, this is crazy.
Speaker 3 (47:30):
I also like vaguely remember storylines, because I did have
a storyline with Lauren, with Becky and so good Yes
with Quinn zero recollection.
Speaker 4 (47:42):
Which is wild because So far Away I'm so glad
that a teen number made it to iTunes didn't get
the revolution treatment because the full version of So Far Away,
so so so good. No, oh, this is It's going
to be a consistent stream. Beautiful, beautiful.
Speaker 2 (48:03):
Oh I can't wait. Really, I don't know. Should I
listen to it now? Should I wait to see it
in context? First? I'm going to listen to it now.
Speaker 4 (48:08):
Thank you. Like in the episode it's only like twenty seconds.
Oh really, yeah, because then Becky storms out and let
me put this on.
Speaker 2 (48:18):
Listen to this.
Speaker 1 (48:19):
It's a theme with Tina that we're just leaning into.
Speaker 3 (48:21):
We're leaning into all of it at this point because like,
if we lean out of it, we'll just get mad.
Speaker 1 (48:26):
You know, it's already been So I'm going to listen
to this car later.
Speaker 3 (48:29):
Okay, Okay, Well, we'll report back with season six when
we have you back for our Eras, if.
Speaker 2 (48:36):
You'll come back, yes, please Eras, please have me.
Speaker 1 (48:39):
I'm going to have to have some time with that
one as well.
Speaker 3 (48:42):
Because Eras is going to be something and I don't
know so much music.
Speaker 1 (48:46):
What do we even do?
Speaker 4 (48:47):
What do we do? We need to put a cap
because I checked season four, I had thirty songs for y'all.
In this time around I had thirty seven. And so
if we're looking at the entire series, I feel like
we need to.
Speaker 1 (48:59):
Have we should have a cap. Okay, we'll look back.
Speaker 3 (49:02):
Let's look back at, like over the seasons, what that
tour would look like, and then we can average, you know,
and average.
Speaker 1 (49:10):
Oh, that's gonna be some so hard.
Speaker 2 (49:13):
Andrew, what's happening over on Gleek of the Week podcast?
Speaker 3 (49:16):
Oh?
Speaker 4 (49:16):
Okay, over on Gleick the Week podcast, we just wrapped
up Round two of the Glacket where we just celebrated
four years of podcasting. Just finished Round two. Obviously a
bunch of songs we need to learn from you.
Speaker 1 (49:36):
Crazy.
Speaker 4 (49:38):
So I just recorded the Round three premiere the other night,
and uh, it's been tough. Songs are being cut left
and right on the blacket.
Speaker 2 (49:48):
So well.
Speaker 1 (49:49):
I love voting on your Instagram.
Speaker 2 (49:52):
I love that.
Speaker 4 (49:53):
Oh I always check. I'm like, okay, what did they
vote for?
Speaker 2 (49:56):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (49:56):
I actually I get nervous I'm like, which one do
I vote for?
Speaker 2 (50:01):
I don't Mine don't always align.
Speaker 4 (50:04):
Yeah, same, so yeah, sometimes I'm really surprised.
Speaker 1 (50:07):

Speaker 2 (50:08):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (51:09):
No, I know, I get really excited for these tours.
Speaker 2 (51:11):
Honestly, Yeah, I think the only thing we didn't really
fully flesh out was Gloria, because that's a moment. I
think we could have built that into something bigger.
