New Directions girls, Quinn, Santana, Brittany, Mercedes, Tina, and Rachel.

On the family tree that Sue made and shows to
Blaine and Dave, there are several errors shown on it. Well.

The family tree is listed that Blaine is an only child. However,
we know and we have met his brother, Cooper Anderson
and big brother.

How did that happen? I honestly, Blaine's mother's name is
shown to be Cynthia Roth's child, but in a wedding
her name is revealed to be Pam Anderson. But you
could always argue it was intentionally incorrect. Who knows what
inpos Sue actually has, You know, she's just vibing.

The official summary for this episode Rachel tries to make
a deal with Will so that his glee club purposefully
underperforms at their invitational. Meanwhile, Sue is busy meddling and
hypnotizes Sam into making a move on Rachel to throw
her off. After Will annoys her, Sue reveals her hurt locker,
containing plans to take down Will and Rachel, but most shockingly,

her love of Clane. And that's what this whole episode
is actually about.

but what was the purpose of this episode?

I have a theory. Okay, I think they needed to
use Jane and wanted to use Jane, and so yeah.

Yeah, but like, now, this is crazy, right, So this
hurt locker situation, right, Sue has had a lot of
growth in a lot of areas and not a lot
of growth and also a lot of areas, and so
we've gotten to a point where what sends her to

the hurt locker, which is an actual like storage unit.

She's having this moment with Will and it's like fine,
and you know, she's bearing the hatchet and he leaves
a plastic fork on the table and that sends her
into a vicious spiral.

She went clean up after him.

Anyway, So after she reveals her sort of serial killer
like boards with all of us on them.

Go to another hotwalker, another layer in the lair.

Yeah. She plays a couple notes on her organ which.

I loved, and we see a shrine to clean.

And you know, after giving Shoe all this for six
seasons about how inappropriate he was with these children she
has, has relationships.

She has a shrine for two children kissing.

And talks about when they first got together they were sixteen.

Okay, so here's here's the thing with this episode in
general for me that I felt uncomfortable by, but then
also like once I like let it go and leaned
into it, I was laughing the whole time, like enjoyably
laughing because at the comedy of it all, because it

is it is beyond satire at this point, the heart Locker,
this is definitely beyond the satire realm.

It is like a cartoon.
Speaker 3 (05:16):
It's because yes, it's because Sue. This is even out
of character for Sue. I am uncomfortable because I'm seeing Sue.
It's not out of her element, it's out of character
like that. To me, I was like, oh, okay, we're
not watching something that's grounded anymore. In reality, we're watching
something like a cartoon, right, Like we were watching something

that doesn't quite need to be justified in any way,
shape or form, which is Glee in some ways, but
it's also not in others. And so I felt like
I could have gotten angry at this episode really fast
and quickly, but instead I was like, let me just
lean into this. And like, by the time we got
to Bitch and she's singing and her heads in the

cabinet and Rachel pulls it out, I was like, oh, okay,
I know where we are now. We are in the
Twilight Zone, ugly and in a good way, not a
bad way, in a good way.

I was like, I surrender. I totally surrender.

And the hypnotizing of it all, you know, the which
episode this reminds me of bad reputation.

The music it was different than the music we normally use.
The pacing was a little bit different, the characters were different.
It just felt out outer body.

I loved everybody's performance, like I really enjoyed watching Jane,
but I think, yeah, my resistance to it was that
the show gets away with a lot because these characters
are crazy, but they're built in a way where they're
crazy is justified a lot of the time. Yeah, with
this crazy is this scandal, it didn't feel justified because

it fell out of character.

Yes exactly. I was like, this is not Sue. We
don't know this Sue.

But the performances were really great.

So let's talk about some of the funny comedic moments
that I really knew that we really enjoyed, because there.

Were quite a few. I did giggle off the fork.

I did like the idea of like being so angered
by a fork.

Because it really wasn't about the fork. It's just that
she can't really be nice to Will.

And him like blabbering on and them using that slow
mo like they used back in Takedown.

Yeah, I was like, oh, this is fun. I really
thought that was really funny.

She takes Backy to the storage locker lick her and
the storagelocker itself is creepy.

I like like the murder mystery aspects of a bill,
like as I she was solving a crime with like
the strengths and the tacks. Yes, she wants to be
a flower girl at the Clain wedding, so she brings
kurtain and she sets up an invitational where she invites

the rest of the clubs. She invites Will's Club, Blaine's Club.
Do you like how I'm referencing them as clubs for
stuff there war wars? Yeah, because they don't exist. This
is Twilight Zone. And she she talks about Kurt and
Bladane's blouses.

Funnily enough, I called my friend a blouse the other day. No,
and I was like literally yesterday, and I was like,
why do I know that term? And then I watched
this episode today. I was like, oh my god.
Speaker 3 (09:17):
You knew subconsciously. But you've never seen this episode before.

Yeah, so but I haven't. I haven't seen any of
these episodes before. But I think I I remember having
a conversation about the term blouse, and I am sure
it was on the set of Glee. Yeah, okay, and
so I'm sure this was just an you know, are
like vernacular as Glee people.

She's bringing the invitational to McKinley.
Speaker 2 (09:55):
And Rachel, you know, and Kurt. They have four people
in new directions, and so Rachel says that they need
to ask Will to go easy because it's just an invitational,
and she wants to, you know, like it's time to
for Will to repay his debt basically to McKinley. But

then Sue flies in this drone that is also capturing
audio and sees the entire thing. So she decides then
to bring that to the principal of Carmel.

This episode feels like a Saturday Night Live sketch, and
this is one of the reasons.

Why Figgins stressed up like his sister or his quote
unquote sister.

Is he actually being a different character or is this

No, no, no, it's Figgins saying to Sue, I am the sister.

on Allast that he is pretending because he's like, hey,

That was funny. Also felt a little crazy, a little
a lot.

Okay. So we're going over to Rachel. Rachel talks to Will,
and now there's this whole thing with Sam and Sam.

Sue is going to hypnotize Sam, which is crazy.

It is also pretty funny.

What is the goal of her hypnotizing Sam? What does
she want?

Exactly what happens? So she wants to disrupt the harmony
between the New Directions coaches and the Adrenaline coaches, so
the long game, and to break Rachel's heart, right, like
she's always trying to break the leader of the New Directions, right,

And so what happens is Sam's supposed to be triggered
by like these certain words. They're rekindling their friendship, which
is nice. But then when Rachel says certain words like piano,
it inspires Sam to get Blaine to teach them how
to play together, and after bonding, they kiss and then

Sam doesn't remember it, and she like goes out on
the huns, you know, like this is the first time
with a guy since Finn and asks him out. He
says no, and then Sue keeps hypnotizing Sam, and it's like,
go steal I thought Cord and Jane were so good,
(13:56):
and these seas agreed, very very funny.

Can we talk about the piano scene though?
Speaker 2 (14:01):
Oh yeah, So they do the.
Speaker 3 (14:03):
Piano and number one Darren is a really good piano player,
and it's very funny. And I we very rarely get
to see Darren in Blaine often, like we don't see
that a lot.
Speaker 2 (14:15):
Mm hmmm.

He made a joke today. He's like, it's just like
so not like you in the episode. And I was like,
that's something like Darren would do, like such a joke
Darren would make.

And I was like, oh, we got a little Darren
joke in there. I thought that was funny.

But they they try to teach Rachel and Sam how
to play piano, and then Rachel's getting pretty good and
Sam is really cheering her on and like.

Supporting her and encouraging her.

And then they break out into a very difficult song
to play piano for having learned piano just recently, but
we're gonna go with it and it's a thousand years.

They got to do a music video, which I remember,
and they did it like Vanessa Carlton's where she's playing
the piano on top of the bus going through the
city streets.

I did see some of downtown LA.

I saw some of Larchmont, I saw some of the
places that we know where we frequent.

Were we getting sent pictures from the crew because I
remember seeing pictures of them filming this throughout La.

Yes, totally, and I really enjoyed. I mean, I love
a thousand miles, so like it's great. Oh also sorry,
back Up Bitch is performed by Suit, which I did
mention it took a really long time for a song
to happen in this episode that I almost like rewound
because I was like, has there been a song that
I missed?

See? Yeah, I had the same feeling and.
Speaker 3 (15:44):
It's so crazy and I actually like again leanked in
and was like, here we are this really weird song
for this like or for this really weird representation of
this song in with Rachel and the claw and the
thing and the I just it's funny. I mean I
thought Jane's performance was really great.

I just was like, what is happening?

I also like Jane's voice on this song a lot,
like this style suits really well.

Yeah, totally we could really, I just got it, Like
I was like, Jane's tone is like so nice in
this again the thousand miles loved loved the song. Did
it fit in the vibe of this episode? No, not really,
but it did take me back to a little bit
of Oglee. So I was like, Okay, we're still in
with Glee. This is still Glee.

Kurt still and we're still in this kind of in
between where we're like, will they won't pay Curtly going
to get back together Blaine and this crazy thing. So
she's trying to obviously recavoc on they're Blaine and Kurowski's
relationship so that she can get Kurt back together with Blaine.

She put a bear in.

Their apartment because she misunderstood the term bear because she
knew Kuroski liked bears. I cannot Max Adler's phone call

The apartment yeah, and then has to go correct Sue

for Kroofski to have dinner with everybody's ever dated, and

for a second and then heard his voice. Was like,

Also, Koski's been busy.

Oh he's been around, and it really makes Blain kind
of rethink this whole thing. You kind of see it
on his face and he realized he stated a lot
of people. And then Sue is like, did a DNA
test showing that they are related.

Well, which actually, thank goodness because I can't bear to
watch Craft Scamblaine together anymore. But I love Max Adler
as in this element. I think he's very funny, but
I just would like cleaning, like clean to be back together.
Like I'm not okay with this right now. It's it's
not well going well for me.

But just Sue, I can't tell of what Sue was
doing is illegal in this episode, what do you mean?
Like I can't. She's like, you know, I stole a
hair from both of you and ran a DNA test
and then like putting a bear in somebody's home how
do you even get the bear?

Well, the bear is definitely legal, the DNA is probably
without their consent, is illegal, and yet here we are.
It's an unhinged it is completely unhinged. This Actually people
have mentioned Krasky and Blaine being an unhinged part of this,
but nobody has very clearly said the heart locker unhinged.

Like Sue's whole storyline in this unhinged.

I remember people like mentioning it, but I don't think
they did it hard enough.

Right, right, And given that we hadn't seen it before,
I don't think our expectations were cracked.

No, no, because the first three episodes you're getting a certain vibe. Yeah,

mom with Blaine and is like, look, this is insane.

which stings a little bit using his own words against him,

but he's being genuine about it.

And then Kurt's like, well, I'm going on a date
with a guy I met online named Walter, and Walter
shows up. Oh my god, and it's about twenty five
years older than his profile photo.

Harry. Yeah, Lisa Renna's husband. And by the way, they're
so nice. He's so really Yeah, he was so nice.

I don't even remember where he met him, maybe one
of the parties, but he was like so awesome.

And I was like, you don't stay around in this
business that long if you're not nice.

And Kurt feels a little we can tell he seems
a little blindsided by it. It's not what he expected
to at all. But he's going to get to know him, right,

They've it's a Kurt to always just be friends with everybody.

Yeah, it feels like it's a nice friendship, I mean.
And then the thing that happens at the end the
invitational is actually happening and Will catches Sam stealing mail,
and the twist is hypnotized. Sam says, oh, Rachel told
me to do this because she actually is like mad

at you yeah, yeah, yeah, and then Will gets pissed
and doesn't go easy on the new directions during the invitational.

Certainly not this very pilot vocal adrenaline where we're all there,
everybody's sitting in the audience like, oh crap, and they
do raw lobster and whip it in costume.
Speaker 2 (21:54):
Changes, and Becky has a lobster outfit on watching via drone.
It's crazy, and so that's obvious. And an episode just ends.
But that's obviously, you know, gearing up for some friction
and tension between the coaches. I guess we'll see what's
in store for part two. But I'm didn't even say

Stell and she's going out on a limb. She hasn't
dated anybody obviously since Finn, and she's like, they kiss,
so she's of course thinking, like, you know, I'm gonna
ask you out now because you know whatever.

And he's like, well, what kiss?

And she thinks, oh, he's like pretending like he doesn't remember,
like you know, they're both in on it, wink wink.

But yet it's it's not. He's completely hypnotized.

Oh my god. I did appreciate the part in Jane's
speech about the band. She does a lot of incoherent
things in this episode, but that was really coherent and
really was like, I'm speaking about the past six years
of injustice on that poor band and everything they've done

for you Will. I did really enjoy that because yes,
they really can just play any song at the drop
of a hat.

New Directions girls, Quinn, Santana, Brittany, Mercedes, Tina, and Rachel.

On the family tree that Sue made and shows to
Blaine and Dave, there are several errors shown on it. Well.

The family tree is listed that Blaine is an only child. However,
we know and we have met his brother, Cooper Anderson
and big brother.

How did that happen? I honestly, Blaine's mother's name is
shown to be Cynthia Roth's child, but in a wedding
her name is revealed to be Pam Anderson. But you
could always argue it was intentionally incorrect. Who knows what
inpos Sue actually has, You know, she's just vibing.

The official summary for this episode Rachel tries to make
a deal with Will so that his glee club purposefully
underperforms at their invitational. Meanwhile, Sue is busy meddling and
hypnotizes Sam into making a move on Rachel to throw
her off. After Will annoys her, Sue reveals her hurt locker,
containing plans to take down Will and Rachel, but most shockingly,

her love of Clane. And that's what this whole episode
is actually about.

I have a lot of questions that you probably can't answer,
but what was the purpose of this episode?

I have a theory. Okay, I think they needed to
use Jane and wanted to use Jane, and so yeah.

You give her a big two episode mark.

Yeah, but like, now, this is crazy, right, So this
hurt locker situation, right, Sue has had a lot of
growth in a lot of areas and not a lot
of growth and also a lot of areas, and so
we've gotten to a point where what sends her to

the hurt locker, which is an actual like storage unit.

She's having this moment with Will and it's like fine,
and you know, she's bearing the hatchet and he leaves
a plastic fork on the table and that sends her
into a vicious spiral.

She went clean up after him.
Speaker 2 (04:06):
Anyway, So after she reveals her sort of serial killer
like boards with all of us on them.
Speaker 1 (04:14):
Go to another hotwalker, another layer in the lair.

Yeah. She plays a couple notes on her organ which.
Speaker 1 (04:20):
I loved, and we see a shrine to clean.
Speaker 2 (04:25):
And you know, after giving Shoe all this for six
seasons about how inappropriate he was with these children she
has, has relationships.

She has a shrine for two children kissing.
Speaker 2 (04:40):
And talks about when they first got together they were sixteen.

Okay, so here's here's the thing with this episode in
general for me that I felt uncomfortable by, but then
also like once I like let it go and leaned
into it, I was laughing the whole time, like enjoyably
laughing because at the comedy of it all, because it

is it is beyond satire at this point, the heart Locker,
this is definitely beyond the satire realm.
Speaker 2 (05:14):
It is like a cartoon.
Speaker 3 (05:16):
It's because yes, it's because Sue. This is even out
of character for Sue. I am uncomfortable because I'm seeing Sue.
It's not out of her element, it's out of character
like that. To me, I was like, oh, okay, we're
not watching something that's grounded anymore. In reality, we're watching
something like a cartoon, right, Like we were watching something

that doesn't quite need to be justified in any way,
shape or form, which is Glee in some ways, but
it's also not in others. And so I felt like
I could have gotten angry at this episode really fast
and quickly, but instead I was like, let me just
lean into this. And like, by the time we got
to Bitch and she's singing and her heads in the

cabinet and Rachel pulls it out, I was like, oh, okay,
I know where we are now. We are in the
Twilight Zone, ugly and in a good way, not a
bad way, in a good way.

I was like, I surrender. I totally surrender.

And the hypnotizing of it all, you know, the which
episode this reminds me of bad reputation.
Speaker 2 (06:25):
I was just coming to say that.

The music it was different than the music we normally use.
The pacing was a little bit different, the characters were different.
It just felt out outer body.

I loved everybody's performance, like I really enjoyed watching Jane,
but I think, yeah, my resistance to it was that
the show gets away with a lot because these characters
are crazy, but they're built in a way where they're
crazy is justified a lot of the time. Yeah, with
this crazy is this scandal, it didn't feel justified because

it fell out of character.

Yes exactly. I was like, this is not Sue. We
don't know this Sue.

But the performances were really great.

So let's talk about some of the funny comedic moments
that I really knew that we really enjoyed, because there.

Were quite a few. I did giggle off the fork.

I did like the idea of like being so angered
by a fork.

Because it really wasn't about the fork. It's just that
she can't really be nice to Will.

And him like blabbering on and them using that slow
mo like they used back in Takedown.

Yeah, I was like, oh, this is fun. I really
thought that was really funny.

She takes Backy to the storage locker lick her and
the storagelocker itself is creepy.

I like like the murder mystery aspects of a bill,
like as I she was solving a crime with like
the strengths and the tacks. Yes, she wants to be
a flower girl at the Clain wedding, so she brings
kurtain and she sets up an invitational where she invites

the rest of the clubs. She invites Will's Club, Blaine's Club.
Do you like how I'm referencing them as clubs for
stuff there war wars? Yeah, because they don't exist. This
is Twilight Zone. And she she talks about Kurt and
Bladane's blouses.

Funnily enough, I called my friend a blouse the other day. No,
and I was like literally yesterday, and I was like,
why do I know that term? And then I watched
this episode today. I was like, oh my god.
Speaker 3 (09:17):
You knew subconsciously. But you've never seen this episode before.
Speaker 2 (09:21):
Yeah, so but I haven't. I haven't seen any of
these episodes before. But I think I I remember having
a conversation about the term blouse, and I am sure
it was on the set of Glee. Yeah, okay, and
so I'm sure this was just an you know, are
like vernacular as Glee people.

She's bringing the invitational to McKinley.
Speaker 2 (09:55):
And Rachel, you know, and Kurt. They have four people
in new directions, and so Rachel says that they need
to ask Will to go easy because it's just an invitational,
and she wants to, you know, like it's time to
for Will to repay his debt basically to McKinley. But

then Sue flies in this drone that is also capturing
audio and sees the entire thing. So she decides then
to bring that to the principal of Carmel.

This episode feels like a Saturday Night Live sketch, and
this is one of the reasons.

Why Figgins stressed up like his sister or his quote
unquote sister.

No, no, no, it's Figgins saying to Sue, I am the sister.

and now there's this whole thing with Sam and Sam.

Sue is going to hypnotize Sam, which is crazy.

It is also pretty funny.

What is the goal of her hypnotizing Sam? What does
she want?

Exactly what happens? So she wants to disrupt the harmony
between the New Directions coaches and the Adrenaline coaches, so
the long game, and to break Rachel's heart, right, like
she's always trying to break the leader of the New Directions, right,

And so what happens is Sam's supposed to be triggered
by like these certain words. They're rekindling their friendship, which
is nice. But then when Rachel says certain words like piano,
it inspires Sam to get Blaine to teach them how
to play together, and after bonding, they kiss and then

Sam doesn't remember it, and she like goes out on
the huns, you know, like this is the first time
with a guy since Finn and asks him out. He
says no, and then Sue keeps hypnotizing Sam, and it's like,
go steal I thought Cord and Jane were so good,
(13:56):
and these seas agreed, very very funny.
Speaker 1 (13:59):
Can we talk about the piano scene though?
Speaker 2 (14:01):
Oh yeah, So they do the.
Speaker 3 (14:03):
Piano and number one Darren is a really good piano player,
and it's very funny. And I we very rarely get
to see Darren in Blaine often, like we don't see
that a lot.
Speaker 2 (14:15):
Mm hmmm.
Speaker 3 (14:17):
He made a joke today. He's like, it's just like
so not like you in the episode. And I was like,
that's something like Darren would do, like such a joke
Darren would make.

And I was like, oh, we got a little Darren
joke in there. I thought that was funny.

But they they try to teach Rachel and Sam how
to play piano, and then Rachel's getting pretty good and
Sam is really cheering her on and like.

Supporting her and encouraging her.

And then they break out into a very difficult song
to play piano for having learned piano just recently, but
we're gonna go with it and it's a thousand years.

They got to do a music video, which I remember,
and they did it like Vanessa Carlton's where she's playing
the piano on top of the bus going through the
city streets.

places that we know where we frequent.

Were we getting sent pictures from the crew because I
remember seeing pictures of them filming this throughout La.

Yes, totally, and I really enjoyed. I mean, I love
a thousand miles, so like it's great. Oh also sorry,
back Up Bitch is performed by Suit, which I did
mention it took a really long time for a song
to happen in this episode that I almost like rewound
because I was like, has there been a song that
I missed?

See? Yeah, I had the same feeling and.

It's so crazy and I actually like again leanked in
and was like, here we are this really weird song
for this like or for this really weird representation of
this song in with Rachel and the claw and the
thing and the I just it's funny. I mean I
thought Jane's performance was really great.

I also like Jane's voice on this song a lot,
like this style suits really well.

it fit in the vibe of this episode? No, not really,
but it did take me back to a little bit
of Oglee. So I was like, Okay, we're still in

Kurt still and we're still in this kind of in
between where we're like, will they won't pay Curtly going

Their apartment because she misunderstood the term bear because she

of rethink this whole thing. You kind of see it

test showing that they are related.

Well, which actually, thank goodness because I can't bear to
watch Craft Scamblaine together anymore. But I love Max Adler
as in this element. I think he's very funny, but
I just would like cleaning, like clean to be back together.
Like I'm not okay with this right now. It's it's
not well going well for me.

But just Sue, I can't tell of what Sue was
doing is illegal in this episode, what do you mean?
Like I can't. She's like, you know, I stole a
hair from both of you and ran a DNA test
and then like putting a bear in somebody's home how
do you even get the bear?

Well, the bear is definitely legal, the DNA is probably
without their consent, is illegal, and yet here we are.
It's an unhinged it is completely unhinged. This Actually people
have mentioned Krasky and Blaine being an unhinged part of this,
but nobody has very clearly said the heart locker unhinged.

Like Sue's whole storyline in this unhinged.

I remember people like mentioning it, but I don't think
they did it hard enough.

Right, right, And given that we hadn't seen it before,

so nice. He's so really Yeah, he was so nice.

I don't even remember where he met him, maybe one

Yeah, it feels like it's a nice friendship, I mean.
And then the thing that happens at the end the
invitational is actually happening and Will catches Sam stealing mail,
and the twist is hypnotized. Sam says, oh, Rachel told
me to do this because she actually is like mad

at you yeah, yeah, yeah, and then Will gets pissed
and doesn't go easy on the new directions during the invitational.

Certainly not this very pilot vocal adrenaline where we're all there,
everybody's sitting in the audience like, oh crap, and they
do raw lobster and whip it in costume.

Changes, and Becky has a lobster outfit on watching via drone.
It's crazy, and so that's obvious. And an episode just ends.
But that's obviously, you know, gearing up for some friction
and tension between the coaches. I guess we'll see what's
in store for part two. But I'm didn't even say

Oh my god. I did appreciate the part in Jane's
speech about the band. She does a lot of incoherent
things in this episode, but that was really coherent and
really was like, I'm speaking about the past six years
of injustice on that poor band and everything they've done

they really can just play any song at the drop
of a hat.

out loud, didn't I I should have said that in voiceover?

Well, my tenior at this school has expanded my horizons
