Speaker 1 (00:01):
And that's what you really missed with Jenna.
Speaker 2 (00:04):
And Kevin an iHeartRadio podcast.
Speaker 1 (00:09):
Welcome to and that's what you're in the miss podcast.
Speaker 2 (00:14):
Jena, is this the last competition?
Speaker 1 (00:17):
Yes, it is. Oh my gosh, we weren't even there.
It feels very strange, very very strange. It's sectionals, people,
it's sectionals. Okay, we are here. We are at season six,
episode eleven of thirteen. Whoa We built this Glee Club?
(00:38):
Air date March thirteen, twenty fifteen. So Glee has already
wrapped its series finale by this point, and here we are,
here we are. The number of song was Uptown Funk
Still by Mark Ronson and Bruno. And a new movie Cinderella,
which I have seen parts of now because Emma isn't
(01:02):
the live action Disney movies. She's currently wearing a Cinderella
dress right now in the back.
Speaker 2 (01:08):
She's so cute. The EP for this episode was released
on March tenth. It featured six tracks from the episode.
Speaker 1 (01:16):
On March twelve, Jenna, Chris, Darren, Corn, and Leah appeared
on The Ellen Show to discuss the upcoming series finale
and reflect on their recent series rap. They also participated
in games of class, superlatives and cards against Humanity. So said,
you weren't there, Kevin.
Speaker 2 (01:33):
And me too? Did you have fun?
Speaker 1 (01:35):
So so much fun? It was such a blast. It
was a really really fun day.
Speaker 2 (01:44):
Not better at all.
Speaker 1 (01:45):
No, I'm pretty sad about it that you were in there.
Speaker 2 (01:49):
And on March thirteenth, members of the cast participated in
a panel discussion at the thirty second Annual Pailey Fest.
The event was at Adoby Theater in Hollywood. Leah, Heather, Chris, Darren, Cord, Amber,
Jane and Dot were in attendance.
Speaker 1 (02:03):
Well but no, and no I was not there, probably
because I wasn't in the show.
Speaker 2 (02:12):
So this episode was directed by our DP at the
time director of Photography, Joaquin Cidio and written by.
Speaker 1 (02:18):
Telly One and Only Aristotle Kusakas and we are joined
by special guest star John.
Speaker 2 (02:27):
Groff and Max George is back.
Speaker 1 (02:31):
Yes yes, yes, yes, Okay.
Speaker 2 (02:33):
So there's a lot of songs in this episode.
Speaker 3 (02:35):
A lot.
Speaker 1 (02:35):
Listen to Your Heart performed by Jesse and Rachel.
Speaker 2 (02:39):
We Built the City performed by Vocal Adrenaline.
Speaker 1 (02:43):
And Mickey performed a Vocal Adrenaline.
Speaker 2 (02:45):
Take Me to Church performed by the New Directions.
Speaker 1 (02:48):
Shandelier performing the New Directions.
Speaker 2 (02:50):
Come sail Away performed by the New Directions.
Speaker 1 (02:53):
And a special unreleased Broken Wings by Mister Mister Mister
performed by the Falconers. Okay, there's a lot of fun decks, yes,
so here we go. This episode marks the return of
the following characters. Jesse st. James first appearance since season
three episode Nationals, a fifty three episode gap, Wow Damn.
Speaker 2 (03:19):
Donna Landry's first appearance since the season one episode Sectionals,
a one hundred and five episode gap, appearing in the
show's first and last competition episode. That's cute. This is
the longest gap between a character's debut and reappearance, and
she was very good, very good.
Speaker 1 (03:35):
Coincidentally, both characters last appearances before this episode feature a competition.
Speaker 2 (03:41):
Sue telling Will about her intentions to come back and
destroy Glee after a break in Boca is another throwback
to the episode Sectionals, where after New Directions win that competition,
she tells him the exact same thing.
Speaker 1 (03:53):
The title is a reference to the Starship song We
Built the City featured in this episode.
Speaker 2 (03:59):
This is the last time and episode focuses primarily on
a show choir competition.
Speaker 1 (04:04):
Oh This is the second time an eleventh episode features
New Directions in a competition, the first being City of
Angels in the previous season.
Speaker 2 (04:13):
This marked the second time New Directions has beaten vocal
adrenaline and direct competition Don't Forget It, and the first
time being twenty twelve Nationals.
Speaker 1 (04:22):
I really thought New Direction was going to lose this one. Like,
I thought like the writers were going to be like,
they can't win this. With this episode, New Directions has
faced a vocal adrenaline in every round of the Show
Choir competition Sectionals In this episode, Regionals and Journey Nationals
in both New York and Nationals, and cliffs from Sectionals
(04:44):
hold On to sixteen Special Education on My Way and
Nationals are shown as each trophy is placed back in
the case.
Speaker 2 (04:51):
That's how we got in this episode, I know it.
None of the season four competitions were shown, but the
trophies from the competitions were still in the display case.
Speaker 1 (05:01):
Oh, this is the only competition episode in which Arreadie, Mercedes,
and Tina are not present. I yeah, this was you
said that there.
Speaker 2 (05:10):
Yeah. This is the second time Sue's Show Choir lost
to New Directions, the first being oral Intensity, and original song.
Speaker 1 (05:17):
This episode marks the final appearance of Clint and Rod Revington.
Speaker 2 (05:22):
This is the last episode that primarily takes place in
the present, as the next two take place in the
past two thousand and nine and then in the future
twenty twenty.
Speaker 1 (05:30):
That's crazy, I didn't realize the future episode was twenty
Twenty's that hurts. This episode contains the last and that's
what you missed on Glee section ever.
Speaker 2 (05:42):
Oh no, no, what are you going to do?
Speaker 1 (05:46):
I'm going to read you this episode. Summery, Kevin so,
New Directions, and Vocal Adrenaline go head to head at sectionals. Meanwhile,
Rachel must choose between returning to Niata and doing another
Broadway show with her past love Jess see Saint James. Wow,
Wow Wow.
Speaker 2 (06:02):
Let's let's dive into Rachel because Rachel is still deciding
whether she wants to go back to Niada or go
back to Broadway. And Sam had that talk with her
last episode and Ram is Brave Chat, Brave Chat. Sam's
team Niyada, and he has another chat with her this
episode with lists of people who have gone back to college,
(06:24):
who have done college and then had a siest career and.
Speaker 1 (06:27):
Rachel knows that he was going to do it.
Speaker 2 (06:30):
Such a good bit, and then he has a response
to that it's so good. I really enjoyed that she
put her trump card. Which are we talking about this again?
Speaker 1 (06:39):
I was like, are we talking about this? Is Sam
doing this again? I was like, wow, we're really dating, like,
you know, digging deep on this one. But yeah, but
then Rachel is singing listen.
Speaker 2 (06:54):
To your heart mid song here.
Speaker 1 (06:57):
In true Jesse Saint James Form comes to up mid
song and revealed he he is the one who reminded
these Broadway producers of her talent and and that Rachel
was right for the role. He is starring in the show.
Opposite would be Rachel and and you know, it just
(07:22):
adds another layer to complexity going back to Broadway.
Speaker 2 (07:30):
Yeah, what would you have done in this situation?
Speaker 1 (07:33):
It's really tough. I really I really don't know. I
think I think it would have taken the Broadway show.
Speaker 2 (07:42):
Yeah, so so she's still deciding obviously. Jesse lays it
on thick. Also great to see Graff. Hear graf Graff
got a haircut. But then Kurt comes up and she's like,
I don't want to hear it, I've already heard from
saying other people, and he goes, no, no, no, whatever you decide,
(08:03):
it is completely fine, Like I support you, but just
do what makes you happy, Like there's no expectations other
than like you do what you feel is right.
Speaker 1 (08:13):
Right, right? But what do you think he was like,
because he was essentially saying like he's going back to
Nyada and Blaine is going to nay, yes.
Speaker 2 (08:25):
Throwing out those little tidbits real quick.
Speaker 1 (08:27):
Right, just throwing it in there, and essentially saying like
this is a second chance at Nyada, Like.
Speaker 2 (08:37):
Well, I can't. He points out, like they all sort
of get to go back to where the roads diverged
last time, right, And he's like, how lucky are we
to get to go back to the same crossroads, and
like pick option.
Speaker 1 (08:49):
B right right right? Rights?
Speaker 2 (08:51):
Option A didn't go how any of us thought it would, right,
So we're in a position to go back and do
it the other way. Yeah, which is really fortunate position
either way you look at it.
Speaker 1 (09:02):
Yeah, for sure, it's important to hear from Kurt, you know,
before she makes a decision.
Speaker 2 (09:08):
And he gives a very shoster speech. Does It's very
like pointing out how good she is at this job,
like what they're doing for kids, Like the time hasn't
been a waste going back to Ohio.
Speaker 1 (09:22):
Right, really making a difference, which I actually matters. Seen, well,
you know how much they learned in that time back
at Kinley exactly. Well a spoiler alert, we're going to
go through all of sectionals. Obviously we love a competition episode.
(09:46):
But in the end, at the end of the day,
Rachel decides that she is, in fact going back to Nyada.
Speaker 2 (09:56):
Did you think she's going to pick that?
Speaker 1 (10:00):
I really didn't know. I really didn't know where she
was gonna go, because it's the Glee. It's the Glee
choice is to go back to Niada. I think it's
the humble choice. I think it's the the harder road.
I think it's the one she care to be the
most lost things, yeah, exactly, versus like just taking the
(10:22):
job again. You know, she's been through so much, she says,
and like, you know, it's it's been tough. So I
think I'm happy that she chose Nyata. I think it's
the right one. I think there could have been it
could have gone both ways. But knowing that what's coming
in twenty you know, the final episode of the series.
(10:44):
I was like, oh, she must have picked me outa
because then she's gonna succeed later, you know what I mean. Like,
so I kind of knew with the what was you know,
knowing what it is.
Speaker 2 (10:55):
So weird that this is the last episode in present
time in the show.
Speaker 1 (11:00):
That's crazy. Okay. I'm glad it was a competition. I'm glad.
And now I'm thinking like, oh, we had to win then,
like it has to feel good, right, you know.
Speaker 2 (11:11):
Absolutely, So.
Speaker 1 (11:14):
He's going to go back to Niana and then they kiss.
They're going to see each other in New York and
they kiss.
Speaker 2 (11:19):
So it was a great scene. He's not mad, she's
following her heart.
Speaker 1 (11:23):
So good.
Speaker 2 (11:24):
They're both grown up now.
Speaker 1 (11:26):
Yeah, Spencer and Roderick are are non dancers of this season.
Speaker 2 (11:33):
And they're called out by the Warblers, and Spencer assumes
it's just about Roderick makes some inappropriate comments per husue
and then they're like, no, no, no, you're included in
this too. Kitty agrees, and they're trying to demote them
to just like sway in the back, stay out of
the way, and so Spencer and Roderick come up with
(11:55):
like a little plan of like they're just gonna work
with Kitty to help them because they're not She's not
going to pull any punches.
Speaker 1 (12:01):
I love that scene of them being like, no, mister,
she would just tell us we're doing a good job.
Speaker 2 (12:05):
We're gone. Yeah, it's so good.
Speaker 1 (12:07):
It's so good.
Speaker 2 (12:08):
I like a little little body comedy.
Speaker 1 (12:11):
Yeah, yeah, it's very cute. Also a Spencer with his
little Canadian accent coming.
Speaker 2 (12:18):
Out all the time.
Speaker 1 (12:20):
Yeah, right, it's really bright in this episode. And Spencer
is going to spring his ankle on this man, which.
Speaker 2 (12:30):
Is like I love that he's an athlete, like an
all star athlete.
Speaker 1 (12:33):
He does one one turn and he's down.
Speaker 2 (12:37):
And Beast is there and be like, oh, this is bad.
They're all making such a big thing over of how
terrible it is, and he's like, well, no, I'm a
team player. I'm going to show up and be on
that stage like you don't need to be.
Speaker 1 (12:52):
And also the fact that like against the medical advice,
he's like I'm going to do it anyway, and they're
like no, but this has this is long term effects
if you don't rest now, and he's like, I'm going
to do it anyway. Like, yeah, if someone called that
valiant and someone call that stupid, well, it's.
Speaker 2 (13:06):
Such a it's such a teen boy thing to do.
Speaker 1 (13:09):
Yeah, like I already appreciate questions later Yeah like classic, Yeah,
like macho, this is what I'm doing.
Speaker 2 (13:17):
Yeah, yeah, look how committed I am.
Speaker 1 (13:19):
So we don't know what's going to happen. We don't
know what's coming for sectionals at the performance, but maybe
he'll be there. Maybe you won't.
Speaker 2 (13:32):
Wait to tease it out, Jenna really have the people
on the edge of their seats.
Speaker 1 (13:45):
Meanwhile, meanwhile, to Sue in new Directions thing, it's just
like so uninched, uh, new directions, get some packages delivered,
and just by the setup of the scene, I was like,
this is not going well. I don't know where this
is going, but it's not gonna go well. Like Rachel
was too excited to get these packages. They're saying they're
(14:05):
from Glad and then they explode in their glitter bombs
that we find out there from Sue. This scene is
my favorite scene.
Speaker 2 (14:15):
The piano blows up and.
Speaker 1 (14:17):
It's not insured. It's not insured.
Speaker 2 (14:20):
Why would Blane know that?
Speaker 1 (14:23):
You know what? I don't know, but I do know
that the glitter bomb was very funny, and I wish
I was there to shoot that, just like everywhere. I
actually don't wish I was there because everywhere, Oh my gosh,
you really get one take with that, you know.
Speaker 2 (14:41):
It's also like the it's not a bad thing having
a glitter bomb.
Speaker 1 (14:46):
No, but Will seeing Sue laughing during all of these
like mischievous things that she does. She puts eye drops
in the coffee and Sam is vomit. He's like, oh,
must than the meat loaf. And then you see the
whole faculty room is vomiting and it's it's Sue and
she's in the bushes with her hands in front of
(15:07):
her face. Laughing is also the highlight of this episode.
And then she blows up Will's car, which, by the way,
we thought he had a range drover for vocal adrenaline.
He must have had to trade that in and he
had the oldest minivan of all time. Where did that
(15:27):
minivan come from?
Speaker 2 (15:28):
Why would he have traded it? Because he can't blow
up a rain drover.
Speaker 1 (15:33):
Right well, it doesn't work for vocal adrenaline anymore. So
I'm sure they were like, we have to give it
to the new coach.
Speaker 2 (15:39):
Oh they took it back.
Speaker 1 (15:40):
Yeah, yeah, exactly, and Will's car gets blown up in
the end to find out that Sue had done this
all for five. Well she did the car for five.
Speaker 2 (15:51):
Oh so you don't spoil if Roderic and no Spencer.
If Spencer's going on, but you spoil that.
Speaker 1 (16:04):
Oh man, I forgot a jeez that one.
Speaker 2 (16:11):
That was thirty seconds ago.
Speaker 1 (16:14):
My memory is short these days. Okay, sorry, pretend you
didn't hear that. Listeners all right, So we're at sectionals.
We're at sectionals.
Speaker 2 (16:28):
Here we are I think is happening? I think because
we're getting towards the end of the season. It's like
I also feel like we've gotten senior itis it.
Speaker 1 (16:36):
Stay tuned, but like stay tuned.
Speaker 2 (16:40):
Yeah, I don't. I don't understand what's happening to us.
Speaker 1 (16:43):
Oh yes, okay, wait, so also before we get into sectionals,
in those performances.
Speaker 2 (16:49):
There's something you have to talk about it.
Speaker 1 (16:51):
Okay, Will, in return for the glitter bombs and the car,
you know, fire and the eye drops, he goes and
pretends to be Sue's hair stylist in the salon and
shaves her head and she has no hair for the
(17:17):
ages kind of reminds me of your ball cap from.
Speaker 2 (17:21):
Absolutely uh Superheroes, because it was the same thing.
Speaker 1 (17:27):
Of course, it was great, it was very, very funny,
and then of course she has they call her real
hair away later but which.
Speaker 2 (17:34):
Is also weird. That's also the scene where Beast comes
in and it's like, I've been so nice to you,
like Will and I are the only people who struck
up for you, and then you come in here bring
Vocal Adrenaline, who also did horrible things to my car,
and you're also showing them Nazi footage.
Speaker 1 (17:54):
Oh yeah, oh yeah, that's that.
Speaker 2 (17:58):
Scene because she'll evil evil.
Speaker 1 (18:00):
Showing them that footage could have done without that. He's like,
get out, get out, get out, get out. Sue is
back to her diabolical ways, even though they're the only
ones Sheldon and Willy stuck their necks out for Sue,
(18:25):
but brudal Okay, where we're now at sectionals. It is sectionals.
We have the craziest judges. It's wild a poodle who's
(18:45):
voting h and we've got these wild performances. So Vocal
Adrenaline gives a massive, I mean a massive performance. It's
the perform of all performances.
Speaker 2 (19:01):
It's really good.
Speaker 1 (19:02):
I love we Built the City. I was like, why
doesn't New Directions do that song?
Speaker 2 (19:06):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (19:07):
I wish we had done that song. Yeah, it feels
very us very and Mickey, which is very yeah, Mickey,
which is very bring it on circa early two thousands,
maybe late nineties.
Speaker 2 (19:22):
Wait, oh Mickey, you're so fine. Oh yeah, that's isn't
that from the eighties?
Speaker 1 (19:27):
It is, but it's my reference is bring it up?
Speaker 2 (19:31):
Oh my god?
Speaker 1 (19:32):
Really no, I mean I know that song, of course,
but it is now it's like bittersweet symphony and criole intentions.
Speaker 2 (19:42):
Oh wow, do you know what I mean?
Speaker 1 (19:44):
We were talking about this last night. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (19:47):
I don't think I relate things to I knew those
songs were so in my head before seeing them in
other media.
Speaker 1 (19:53):
It's like David too, that's because you guys are well
versed in music, and I'm like, oh, it's the theme song.
Speaker 2 (20:00):
Uh, I'm surrounded by you people?
Speaker 1 (20:04):
Yeah yeah, uh okay. I love this vocal adrenaline performance though.
I thought they were great. Also, watching New Directions watch
them really took me back to the pilot. It seemed intentional, right,
it had to be Yeah, oh, it was so sweet.
(20:24):
Then broken Wings with birds that birds, I was like.
Speaker 2 (20:41):
My daughter than the judge was like, I hope my
taxpayer dollars are going to fund that school because I
would be too, But what is this?
Speaker 1 (20:51):
And then the costume wings, it was just something different,
it was something else.
Speaker 2 (20:55):
Wait.
Speaker 1 (20:55):
Also, I forgot to mention in the rehearsals for when
new directions are performing, when I think one of those
early scenes, I think when we're talking about taking a break,
when they were talking about taking a break and you
know we're having that kind of like little disagreement the
talk and dance moves when they're like, you know, dut
(21:15):
your knees whatever. That is all Zach Woodley. Zach Woodley,
our choreographer, used to make up the words to the
songs or makeup sayings to string choreography, choreogography, choreography together.
And I was like, wow, I'm so glad they included that.
(21:37):
I'm sure other choreographers do that as well, but that
was like a Zach Woodley special.
Speaker 2 (21:42):
I don't know if anybody follows Sean Bankhead on TikTok,
He's like probably the biggest choreographer. No. He and Paris
are like the two biggest choreographers like current people like
artists out there right now. And he does really great
videos because his choreography is very memorable and very very good.
(22:05):
And when he shows like rehearsal videos, it's very similar
to Zach Oh, like around and round the road, do yo,
and like he's just have.
Speaker 1 (22:16):
To do that, but like it's so cute. I love it.
That's funny. Roderick and Spencer. Roderick has an idea before
New Directions performs.
Speaker 2 (22:29):
You want to give this away now, Jennal, here it.
Speaker 1 (22:31):
Is, here, it is. Here's my spoiler of the episode. Uh,
Spencer comes flying in on a chandelier Alla wrecking ball
and when they're singing chandelier, Now, let's talk about this
number because we'll talk about shaking me to church, but uh,
(22:56):
chandelier what more? Laura Dreifa, Please, where was her voice
this whole season? I'm yelling because I'm angry because her
voice is so good.
Speaker 2 (23:11):
Is this yelling?
Speaker 1 (23:13):
This is microphone yelling? Okay, I'm angry. I love her voice.
I think she sounded so good on this. Her tone
is so different. She's I know she's talented. Obviously she's
gone on to do massive things, but like so good,
and I'm like, why didn't we have more of her voice? Yeah,
(23:33):
saying more we love chandelier, love chandelier. And then Spencer
also comes in and sings and he does the whole thing,
and they have him in there and he is with
them without having to get the quarterzone shot, without having
to wreck his self for future, you know, long term damage.
(23:57):
We have him in there anyway, and he was able
to pref form and spoiler alert, New Directions were within
the regulations for members. I guess that wasn't really a
thing this time. We've had that in the past, but.
Speaker 2 (24:12):
We all know that now, you know it's built in.
Speaker 1 (24:14):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (24:15):
Also, the singing was so I see. I know you
thought Vocal General would win, but I didn't. I wasn't
sure because I thought New Directions had such strong vocals,
lineup vocals. The performance was great. Yeah, like take me
to Church, starting would take me to church, Oh my god. Yeah,
(24:38):
obviously it's the exact thing he should be singing.
Speaker 1 (24:43):
Forever. One of the best, and I think the fans
have spoken and they've said that this is one of
the best songs on Glee ever.
Speaker 2 (24:51):
Yeah, it's just like it was down to the right person. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
really and he and Sandy sound great on this together,
so good, so yeah, yeah, it comes still away. Also,
I was watching this and I could hear David singing along.
Speaker 1 (25:12):
Billy sounds incredible, so good. I really love this lineup.
I love this, this direction competition very strong. Billy can
sing his face off, he really can. I'm god, it
was really good. It was really really good. He was cute.
(25:32):
They looked great.
Speaker 2 (25:33):
I'm mad we have.
Speaker 1 (25:34):
More Billy and Laura.
Speaker 2 (25:37):
Yeah, where was that? I don't know, but I'm glad
they had their moment in this. Everybody had their moment
in this. And Josie dressed up video.
Speaker 1 (25:50):
Yeah, so Josie goes and dresses up like Maddie's Eiegler
in the Chandelier music video and goes through the audience
and does interpretive dance and the judges are not thrilled
by it. That is the unhinged part of this. I
was like, what is happening over there?
Speaker 2 (26:13):
It's great, though the little audience participation, you know, that.
Speaker 1 (26:17):
Was a little unnecessary, but it's just like almost texted
and been like, oh my god, how did you feel?
How did you feel? But anyway, new Directions spoiler alert,
New Directions wins.
Speaker 2 (26:34):
And then we get one of those beautiful gut punch oh.
Speaker 1 (26:40):
Man. So they decide that they you know, they're all
in the choir room celebrating as we do after competition
and they receive the trophy, they're going to put it
in the in the wall, and then Kitty sees Rachel
and this very emotional moment where she realizes that like,
you know, it just it is a beautiful culmination of
all of the work that Rachel had and her history
(27:02):
in this Glee club and all the winds and the
loses and the trials and tribulations and that. Yeah, that's
when it hit me that I was like, oh, this
is the last episode in the present of Glee, like
present time of Glee, And I was like wow. And
then you know, we all make our little appearances and
(27:22):
all those competitions, so this is the only competition Kevin
that we've never been in.
Speaker 2 (27:27):
Yeah, that's a pretty good run.
Speaker 1 (27:28):
That is a really good run. They only got better
with time and age. But like, man, I am that
really got me. I was like, I also like.
Speaker 2 (27:39):
The show looks so different, Like everything looked so different
and then as it got closer to present time, like
it was fun seeing everybody like grow up. Yeah, man,
we filmed a lot of stuff.
Speaker 1 (27:54):
I know, we were there for all of that, but
it was really sweet and it was nice to see that.
I really like that. I really really like that. That
one got me so.
Speaker 2 (28:06):
And then there's this scene with Will and Sue at
the end and Will's like, well, I guess we're done here,
and Sue is like, not even a thank you, and
he's like, for what. And then she proceeds to go
through all of her insane actions the past sixty minutes
(28:30):
or forty four minutes and says that all of them
were done in a calculated way to ensure new directions
the win. And he's like, I don't believe you. And
when she lays it out.
Speaker 1 (28:45):
It's too good.
Speaker 2 (28:46):
It's this crazy, detailed, like nuanced. All those insane things
were just all on purpose.
Speaker 1 (28:53):
The projectile vomiting with the eye drops was like them
losing pounds, you know, it's like a perfect win, a police.
Speaker 2 (29:00):
Pounds, and the serotonin levels with the surprise of the confession.
Speaker 3 (29:06):
Yes, the cortisol boot, the cord sorry, and then yeah,
it was wildly calculated and then obviously the car just
for fine, but she's continuing to call him Butch and.
Speaker 1 (29:21):
She's going to Boca And I love that. I love
that little like, oh, here's our little plot twist. She
was like helping us from the inside. It was great.
I thought it was really really great.
Speaker 2 (29:36):
Yeah, it's fun to still have the little second.
Speaker 1 (29:38):
This episode was like I was like, Okay, here we are,
we're moving. The train's back on the tracks.
Speaker 2 (29:44):
Yeah, I mean, I think a competition episode really does that.
It really like focuses about like what the show is
actually about. And so it's it's nice to see everyone's
involvement indirectly and directly with the competitions. Yes, makes for
good storyline, Yes.
Speaker 1 (30:03):
Yes, definitely. And then we obviously find out out for
that that Rachel has chosen Yana. Jesse comes back and
he's talking about, you know, the nostalgia like missing quick
Glee clubs and the all the competitions and and and
there we have it. We are we at our we
are at our last episode of Glee present day, and
(30:28):
we were onto we were already shooting. Oh no, sorry,
we weren't already shooting. We were well, while this was shooting.
We were already shooting two thousand and nine. But that's it.
That's the episode. Wow, that's wild, like we made it,
we made it less crazy. And performances, Okay, listen to
(30:59):
your heart A minus yeah, we built the city A.
Speaker 2 (31:06):
Plus A yeah, I guess A plus yeah, Nicky B plus.
Speaker 1 (31:11):

hear that, So take me to church A plus plus,

A plus A plus wow, and broken wings by the
(31:31):

Speaker 2 (31:35):

I mean the Nazi footage, the Nazi footage, Yeah, it's
too much. Uh dance, best dance move.
Speaker 2 (31:53):
There's a lot of good options in this.
Speaker 1 (31:55):

oh god, oh ma, and CHANDELI are dancing.
Speaker 2 (32:06):
Oh yeah, I mean, for sure a shout out to mother,
may I point to you, but legitimately vocal adrenaline.

Speaker 1 (32:40):

Speaker 2 (32:41):
Donna, how did you know?
Speaker 1 (32:43):
I just knew? She says, Can I just say? I
can't believe I got roped into doing this again. This
is gotta be the lowest form of entertainment ever known
to mankind. She's like, I'm okay, okay, donnad Andry's just
calmed down. These groups cannot be worse than the last time.
And then they were. I don't know which group I
hated more. Uh, you're gonna point a cannon at me?
(33:05):
Hell no? And what's up with this bird school? It's great?
Speaker 2 (33:09):
Okay, We're giving a single person on Earth who woke
up this morning and said, you know what song I
really need to hear today? Hey, nicky performance MVP also

Speaker 2 (33:49):
And Jane and Jane. Okay, Jenna, should we found on
TikTok for Bray Forever. Are you familiar with Beating the Beast?
Beating the Beat? Sorry, Justin Bieber featured Nicki Minaj song Yes,
so Brave Forever made a cut Glee things that go
(34:11):
with the lyrics of Nicki Minaj's verse, and that is
very unbelievable. It's on beat. I can't even really describe this,
but you have to go watch it.
Speaker 1 (34:27):
Wow, you got to just see it.
Speaker 2 (34:29):
It's so good. Everything goes so perfectly, Like this is
six seasons worth of material crammed into twenty three seconds
and unbelievable. Beast Beast is insane?
