he gave me my career, you know, and he gave
a lot of people their career and he continues to
(02:26):
do so, and I think, uh not everyone in his
position does that same thing, like puts people on and
that is actually happy for them. He put me on

woman that I know.

that she has you there for her and that she
said she's taking it like a trooper. What are they.
Speaker 5 (03:14):

And let's get into this et so D DG and
Halle Billy have announced that they have broken up. Now.
DDG posted on his page Dear friends and supporters. After
much reflection and heartfelt conversations, Halle and I have decided
to go our separate ways. This decision was not easy,
but we believe it's the best path forward for both
of us. And they said they still love each other
(04:40):
deep and true, and they're focusing on their individual journeys
and their roles as co parents.
Speaker 6 (04:46):
So sad, I know that.
Speaker 4 (04:49):
Just break up woman is the different woman. She usually
hit the streets a little bit different. Broke up and
I'm here, I'm just saying, ain't about me. I'm just saying,
if you've been in a relationship and you tired of
your dude or whatever he was putting you through something.
I'm just saying in general, Okay, when she breaks off
(05:09):
that she's usually on demons.
Speaker 3 (05:11):
What did the men do? We reflect keep doing the
same thing you wasn't doing. You took the word right out.
Speaker 7 (05:17):
Of my mouth.
Speaker 6 (05:17):
They don't change your.
Speaker 3 (05:18):
Because they're after that breakup.
Speaker 2 (05:20):
After that breakup, you just.
Speaker 3 (05:22):
Do it open.
Speaker 4 (05:23):
She know she does things that she wouldn't normally do.
You're like, you did that?
Speaker 3 (05:27):
Oh, Yeah, that's when you start posting like the thirst
traps since you know what, especially when you write single
and that's he like DM is open for business. All right. Well,
speaking of breakups, Cardi being Offset, I mean the two
of them, people had thought maybe they got back together
because he was posting himself inside of her studio, and
(05:49):
Cardi B was very quick to shoot that down. Here's
what she said. I just saw your baby father and
your studio, your hole, posy business or that I didn't
need to understand. We do have to cribs.
Speaker 8 (06:00):
One is an Atlanta one is here.
Speaker 9 (06:02):
One thing I don't want to entertain is oh, we're
in the same crib, come upstairs and sleep together. I
don't want to entertain that because that's what keep us
being on the same trap.
Speaker 2 (06:13):
Mmmm.
Speaker 6 (06:13):
That's the truth.
Speaker 3 (06:14):
Yeah, yeah, and they do have three kids together.
Speaker 6 (06:21):
You're so mad at Offset, you.
Speaker 3 (06:25):
Know what though, And I saw academics saying some things
about who Cardi be quote unquote cheated with.
Speaker 7 (06:34):
Or not.
Speaker 2 (06:35):
This is what I'm trying to tell you.
Speaker 6 (06:37):
Listen, I'll tell you what y'all guys, do what you want.
In the second we give you a little tasty your
own medicine can't handle it, so.
Speaker 3 (06:45):
Because you know the bounce back is going to be crazy.
Like when people think about who is Cardi going to
be with next car? Your feelings hurt for sure, and
Cardi's on.
Speaker 6 (06:53):
Top of the world.
Speaker 4 (06:55):
Usually women go through a phase where they just knock
a couple of guys off.
Speaker 3 (06:59):
How do you know so much? Not a couple of guys.
One of a couple of guys that's still going strong
right now. Jennifer Hudson and Common, they've been dating for
quite some time. And you know, it looks like she
was on the Jennifer Hudson show. Common and Comedy and
(07:21):
Pete Rock were on the Jennifer Hudsons Show to promote
their album, but she was he asked. She asked him
about an interview that he did recently on The Breakfast
Club about marriage and all of that.
Speaker 8 (07:32):
I was asked about marriage, yes, and I just answered, honestly,
I said, you know what you told me a quote
that your mother said, a man knows.
Speaker 3 (07:40):
What he wants.
Speaker 8 (07:42):
I was saying, my true feeling is about Listen, if
I should be married, it will be Sir Jennifer Kate Hudson.
Speaker 6 (07:51):
He gets around doesn't he I don't want to come
because he's dated a lot of people know that's the wrong.

The thing is he was in a relationship with all
these women.
Speaker 6 (08:03):
He was, but he's still has It's nothing wrong with them.
He gated a lot of women.
Speaker 3 (08:07):
Here's what Jennifer Hutson had to say in response to that.
My mother was right. I think that I think if
she had a metal she said.
Speaker 6 (08:13):
I don't know about the wrest of them, but that's coming.
Speaker 3 (08:15):
It's all right with her.
Speaker 2 (08:16):
Last what she would.
Speaker 6 (08:16):
Say, and I would agree.
Speaker 3 (08:19):
I think it's a beautiful thing.
Speaker 9 (08:20):
I think you are a deserving man, and I'll support
that idea.
Speaker 3 (08:24):
And they both from Chicago. That's a cute love story.

Speaker 6 (09:06):

Like I.
Speaker 2 (09:13):

all my soul. Yeah, no, I'm a Jersey girl. But
as far as like you know, and I'm not just

Paris and wherever else. New York City is, you know,
the biggest city in the world. Yeah, and it's so good,
like we're talking off air, like you know, we New

Speaker 10 (13:28):
So when I was about seventeen years old, I had
found my mother's jewelry that was around let's say, like
seven eight thousand dollars. It was gifted to my dad.
Speaker 7 (13:39):
Uh.
Speaker 10 (13:40):
They have been divorced for about seventeen years at this point,
and she never wears it. And I found it and
I had sold it to a jeweler to get a
new car.
Speaker 2 (13:48):
Oh my god, that was crazy.
Speaker 6 (13:51):
What kind of car did you get?
Speaker 10 (13:52):
I got a two thousand and seven Cadillac GTF.
Speaker 3 (13:55):
Oh you was lit? Wow, how did your mom think
you manage to buy a car.
Speaker 10 (13:59):
I honestly don't know. I was working at Starbucks at
the time, and I'm assuming since she got to drive
it as well, she didn't really to ask questions.
Speaker 2 (14:07):
You really did bad.
Speaker 4 (14:08):
Stealing from your mother in seventeen is not an excuse
because like in the street, that's like in street years,
it's like thirty.
Speaker 2 (14:16):
Yeah, exactly, you know what she was doing?
Speaker 10 (14:20):
Uh Huh, I went down to the park just down
by my.
Speaker 6 (14:23):
House, because you would have had to sell a lot
of frappuccinos to get there.
Speaker 3 (14:27):
A lot of tips. Yeah, So she did find out.
Speaker 10 (14:31):
She did find out. She wasn't she wasn't too upset
about it. Uh, she was just upset that I should
have brought it up to her before I'd done it.
Speaker 6 (14:41):
So she didn't even she didn't even whoop you.
Speaker 10 (14:43):
No, No, she wasn't too upset about it. She understood
the situation. We have a pretty unique family situation, so
at a job than some bills to pay, So she
understood where I was coming from. It wasn't a right
way of doing it, but it happened that way.
Speaker 3 (14:57):
Oh that's so interesting, because maybe you could have just
asked her and she would have said, okay, right, exactly right.
Speaker 10 (15:03):
You know we're looking at seven thousand dollars, setting her
in front of me. I didn't want to tell anyone
about it.
Speaker 4 (15:08):
When the last time you stole from your mother, I
have not swe.
Speaker 10 (15:12):
From her since then. Okay, I'm twenty years old now
and taking her out to dinner.
Speaker 6 (15:17):
Well, if she steals from you one day, you deserve it.
She owes you one.
Speaker 10 (15:21):
Yeah, no, I can't complain.
Speaker 3 (15:23):
All right, Well, thank you for sharing with us.
Speaker 10 (15:26):
Thank you you guys.
Speaker 3 (15:26):
Have a good day, you too, Hey, Anonymous color, how
are you?
Speaker 7 (15:30):
How you doing?
Speaker 3 (15:31):
You want to tell me Mano and Justine a Valentine's secret?
Speaker 7 (15:34):
All right?
Speaker 10 (15:34):
So me and my wife we had a threesomewhere her mother,
and now she's mad that her mother still wants to
keep lying.
Speaker 2 (15:41):

Speaker 3 (15:45):

Speaker 2 (15:46):
You're lying, old, lying, you swelling.
Speaker 3 (15:48):
What you're swearing?
Speaker 6 (15:49):
What my pop you're putting on a sexy voice that's
not even your voice?
Speaker 3 (15:53):
Crazy?
Speaker 7 (15:54):
What do you mean this is my voice?
Speaker 3 (15:55):
So your wife, you had a three? So much your
wife and her mom. I don't believe that, did y'all
film it?
Speaker 7 (16:03):
Actually?
Speaker 3 (16:04):
Who got who got the better?
Speaker 7 (16:07):
Not gonna care for mama.
Speaker 4 (16:09):
So basically you're saying that your wife mother still wants
to continue knocking you off.
Speaker 2 (16:15):
Right, Yeah, and now your your wife is mad. Yeah,
it's stupid. Jerry Spring of the don't believe this.
Speaker 3 (16:21):
Do they do this frequently? Your wife and her mom?
Speaker 10 (16:25):
I don't.
Speaker 3 (16:28):
All right, Well, thank you for bro at.
Speaker 2 (16:31):

Speaker 3 (16:50):

some secrets are not true. Well, big Joe is saying
that who is Big Joe? That was Diddy security guard
who was being accused of participating in uh sexual assault case.
We'll tell you what he had to say. It's way up.
Speaker 2 (17:06):
She's about to blow the lead ab off this pot.
Speaker 3 (17:08):

let's talk about Patrick Ewing. He is uh joining the
Knicks as a basketball ambassador. Wow, so that's a big deal.
You know what I'm saying. He experanchise right now when
the fan base is highly engaged.
Speaker 2 (18:10):
That's dope.

I don't may no, I know you haven't watched it yet.
Speaker 2 (18:17):
I'm about to start though, as you should.
Speaker 3 (18:20):
So for the first time, the journey of one couple
that's Brittany and Leo was documented from their pod conversations
to their engagement and meeting. Then it was revealed that
they weren't chosen. They were not one of the six
couples chosen by producers to continue their journey in Mexico.
They took their own trip to Mexico and broke broke
off their engagement weeks later. So seven couples get engaged
(18:42):
this season, f YI, and they said one had to
be cut, and that's the couple that will get cut.
So you fall in love like through a wall you
can't see you can't see each other.
Speaker 2 (18:48):
Wow, I'm about to go on show.
Speaker 6 (18:51):
It's over for you.
Speaker 3 (18:52):
Well, then you gotta tell you on there. I would
love to see you on there.
Speaker 6 (18:55):
You gotta change your voice though, talking Hey, what's going on?
Speaker 3 (19:00):
They'd be like, what's your name? Because a lot of
times they don't want you to have any idea how
they look. They don't want you to know their ethnicity. Me, Jeff,
there you go. So he smokes Newport's day every day.
All right, now, let's get into some diddy news. So
a former celebrity bodyguard Big Joe aka Joe. He's being
accused of uh sexually assaulting Thalia Graves. That's a woman
(19:25):
who did a highly promoted news conference with attorney Gloria Allread,
and she said that she was drug bound and viciously
raped at the Bad Boy Entertainment headquarters in Manhattan by
Diddy and his had of security, Joe Sherman aka Big Joe. Well,
Big Joe is like, this is not your Here's what
he said.
Speaker 2 (19:43):
I'm not question integrity.
Speaker 9 (19:45):
I'm questioning how claims against me. I wasn't a head
of the security.
Speaker 2 (19:48):
You've got the wrong man.
Speaker 9 (19:50):
I've never seen you. I've never done anything negative with you.
I've never been in the same rule you. Not only
wasn't idea, I wasn't even in New York.
Speaker 3 (20:00):
Okay, Well, sounds like he has an alibi. And he
said her and whoever she's in cahoots with was orchestrating
a money grab, and she wanted me to be a
part of that money grab. She wanted to get ditty.
And then he provided texts from an Instagram account starting
in November twenty twenty three that his team has linked
to her and NBC New York confirmed that connection as well,
(20:21):
and the first text asked if he was indeed a
security guard for Diddy, and he said, she doesn't even
know who I am and says, are you big Joe?
You're on my Instagram. The text asked him to call
a number and goes on to say, if you will
be my witness against Ditty, then my attorneys will leave
you out of any proceedings because we have statements that
you physically showed over eight people videos of me and
you to people in the studio. And he said he
(20:42):
doesn't even know her, he doesn't know what she's talking about.
Speaker 6 (20:45):
Wow, that's crazy.
Speaker 9 (20:46):
M hm.
Speaker 6 (20:47):
You know what, anyone who has been a victim, my
heart goes out to them and I think, you know,
they should get there.
Speaker 9 (20:54):
They just do.
Speaker 6 (20:55):
But anyone who accuses someone of something that is not true,
I also think this should be some repercursion has to be,
you know, yeah, a repercussion for it, because you know,
you grew somebody's life like that.
Speaker 3 (21:08):
Well, according to Megan Koon, if there's also a new
judge on Diddy's criminal case, it was reassigned today to
US District Judge Aaron's Subramanian and there's no explanation as
why the previous judge has departed. So you know, all right,
well that is your Yet when we come back, we
have under the radar. These are the stories that are
not necessarily in the headlines. They are flying under the radar,
(21:29):
but you need to know about it. Heart attacks and
young people rates are rising, and we're going to give
you those reasons why it's way up news.
Speaker 2 (21:37):
This in the news that relates to you.
Speaker 1 (21:39):
These stories are flying under the radar.
Speaker 3 (21:42):
All right, it's way up with Angela yee, I'm here,
Mano's here, Justina Valentine is here, yes, sir, all right,
let's get into some of these under the radar stories. So,
heart attacks and young people used to be very rare,
but rates are rising, and now it has risen by
two thirds in four years. And that's kids between the
ages of eighteen and forty four. What's the prothagte.
Speaker 2 (22:06):
That we fault the heart attacks?
Speaker 9 (22:08):
Right?
Speaker 7 (22:08):
Right?
Speaker 4 (22:09):
So I've been working with a doctor, doctor Puma, and
he's been doing these heart scans for people, checking on
their heart. So I got my heart checked out and
I'm perfectly fine.
Speaker 3 (22:19):
Okay, good, that's good.
Speaker 2 (22:20):
But the thing is we got to check on them.
Speaker 3 (22:23):
Yeah. Well, and they're saying there's four reasons why this
has been rising in young adults. Obesity rates are continuing
to rise adults under fifty because of nutrition habits that
are pretty well formed in childhood, low quality diets, people
kind of sitting around more and not going outside, no exercising, right,
And they also said that COVID may have fueled a
(22:44):
further increase in premature heart attacks. Also, younger men are
lost to the healthcare system. Men of all ages are
more likely than women to suffer heart attacks, but young men,
more of whom are now obest diabetic, are both with
warning sciens may slip more easily through the cracks, and
then smoking diabetes. Also, periods and stress are some risk
(23:05):
factors for younger women. So a lot of that with
vaping and smoking and things like that, there's a problem
because that does increase the risk of a heart attack.
So they're seeing a demographic of college educated women who
are more likely to start smoking when they go away
to college for weight management and ease. Cigarettes are a
big part of the problem and are just as bad
for cardiovascular health as traditional cigarettes.
Speaker 6 (23:28):
Yeah, I mean, I feel like our food has a
lot of stuff and like throughout the years to have
more and more things in it that are just being
like pushed through and passed. And when you said the
phone thing, that's so true. Just think how often you
see someone just very sedentary, just like scrolling through their phone.
You know it's it's a nice side, yeah, such and
(23:50):
grass and so here's some things you can do to
reduce your risk, because we also love to give people solutions.
Eat better obviously, right, Consume fresh food, fruits, vegetables, minimize
package food, be more active. Do something that's sustainable for you,
like getting some walks in you know, I love to
take some steps, and also getting two and a half
(24:11):
hours of physical activity per week.
Speaker 3 (24:13):
It could be moderate quick tobacco, don't smoke. The cigarettes
are the same too, so there's no such thing as
safe smoking. Get healthy sleep. Also, sleep is super important.
We know it used to be sleep as a cousin
of death. Now we know you need to get some rest.
Drink less. Let's skip that.
Speaker 6 (24:29):
No, I'm kidding, he said, We just we're not gonna
talk about that bar.
Speaker 3 (24:33):
Also, get cholesterol, blood sugar, and blood pressure checked as well.
So it's better to know I had high cholesterol and
I found out so I was able to reverse that.
Speaker 6 (24:43):
Oh nice, I already have to do change your diet.
Speaker 3 (24:45):
Yeah, it was really me. Like that's when I was
a lot younger. I stopped eating so much fried food
and I started being more conscious of what I was
eating and working out.
Speaker 6 (24:53):
Nice.
Speaker 3 (24:53):
All right, the way up mixes at the top of
the hour, plus Loupe Fiasco is joining us today. He's
on tour right now as an album called Samurai that's out,
and we got a lot of things to discuss. Him
and Mana we're both on Atlantic Records at the same time.
Speaker 6 (25:06):
Labelmates.
Speaker 3 (25:07):
Yes, things got crazy. It's way up.
Speaker 6 (25:11):
She's like the talk like they Angela Jean, like they
Angela Jee.
Speaker 5 (25:15):
Man.
Speaker 1 (25:15):
She's spilling it all.
Speaker 3 (25:16):
This is yeek way up, all rights, way up at
Angela Yee. I'm here, Justina Valentine is here. Oh yeah,
Mano's here, and let's get into some yet we might
have an exclusive here, that's right, I think we should. Okay, So,
first off, earlier we played Big Jonah. Big Joe is
the security who was accused of being on these tapes.
(25:39):
It's alleged tapes with with Diddy and this young lady,
Dahlia Graves. Here is what he said when he denied
this on NBC.
Speaker 9 (25:48):
I'm not question Han Teuger. I'm questioning how claims against me.
I wasn't a head of the security.
Speaker 2 (25:54):
You got the wrong man.
Speaker 9 (25:56):
I've never seen you. I've never done anything negative witch you.
I've never been in the same rule you. Not only
wasn't Ida, I wasn't even in New York all right. Now.
Speaker 3 (26:07):
The thing about Big Joe is he just very adamant
that he is not going. You know, some people would
be like, oh, did a lawyer tell you not to
say anything. He's like, I don't care.
Speaker 2 (26:16):
I didn't do it.
Speaker 3 (26:16):
I'm not there. He has text messages between them that
he wants to make sure that people know about and
can see because from the text messages, and you know,
you know what it says because you know.
Speaker 4 (26:29):
Him.
Speaker 3 (26:31):
Basically, it seems like she's trying to confirm that he
worked with Puff and then also confirmed that there was
a video shown on a camcorder, and he's like, and
she also says, if you're not the same person, then
I apologize, she said. So it seems like she's not
sure if Big Joe was the person that she's alleging
is on this tape. Now, Big Joe called us because
(26:55):
you know, clearly this is something that if you feel
that you're being wrongly accused of something, and you're gonna
defend yourself saying it loud to the utmost. And here's
what he had to say about this alleged tape and
the conversation with Dahlia Graves.
Speaker 5 (27:07):
Not only did she DM me, she tried to guide
me through the dms, if you read them. She tried
to explain to me, all I need you to do
is write a statement like Bonds did, like other people did.
I need you to write a statement and I'll keep
you out. I say, keep me out of what? But
then she got into the threat. Then she brought up, well,
me and mister j Prince would be down there.
Speaker 3 (27:29):
All right. Now, I don't know what Jay Prince has
to do or anything, but you had a question for him.
Speaker 2 (27:35):
Absolutely, okay, Well he got to do with this though.
Speaker 7 (27:39):
It was brought to my attention later on that Jay
Prince something I don't know about at a beef with
Puffy about slapping Drake, and Drake.
Speaker 11 (27:48):
Was calling j Prince going off to them.
Speaker 7 (27:50):
For not taking up for him against Puffy and I'm like,
that's none of my business. Honestly, after listening and people
calling me explaining to me the Jake Prince lawyer if
the one who put them hundred people together, I think
Jake Prince is one of the main corpuses behind land
and is trying to destroy tough characters.
Speaker 3 (28:09):
Now, these are all allegations.
Speaker 4 (28:10):
We don't know what the lawyer thing, right, So is
that really his lawyer?
Speaker 3 (28:15):
Tony Busby is a lawyer based out of Houston, and
so that lawyer is representing one hundred and twenty of uh.
Speaker 4 (28:22):
Right, but that but that girl is definitely connected to
j Prince because.
Speaker 3 (28:27):
Well from the DMS, it looks like she did mention
Ja Prince.
Speaker 2 (28:30):
Yeah, I read that.
Speaker 3 (28:32):
So listen, Justina, it's like that lawyer needs I'm just
trying to break down one hundred, Like, how do we
even schedule that for the week?
Speaker 6 (28:39):
You gotta do?
Speaker 3 (28:40):
Like I know, well from what they had what they
said previously was that there were even more. But they
did vet out people to see which claims had merit
and which did not be able to proceed. And they
also have a hot line so if something happened.
Speaker 2 (28:54):
The hot line is a hot line for crazy.
Speaker 3 (28:57):
The hot line the hot line is, which is also
a Drake song.
Speaker 4 (29:02):
That's that's that's different man hearing that basically saying that
he might be behind.
Speaker 3 (29:07):
That or allegedly, Yeah, that's what that is what Big
Joe is alleging. And he's saying people called him up
and brought that to his attention. So I don't know
what's happening, but you know, we're listening to all sides
of everything.
Speaker 6 (29:19):
If you or someone you know who has been affected
by earl, don't.
Speaker 3 (29:25):
Cats do not like these baby oil. Just I didn't
know what was doing all right? Well, anyway, it is
also a new Music Friday. That was your yet So
we're going to talk about new music that's out today.
And I believe we have an exclusive up here courtesy
yet again of Mano.
Speaker 1 (29:40):
Really yep, whether it's relationship or career advice. Angela's dropping facts.
Speaker 3 (29:49):
What's up? Its way up at Angela Ye, and I'm
here with Justinea Valentine, also Mano, the award winning advice
giver winning. We have Sarah on the line with sept Sarah.
Speaker 11 (30:02):
Hi, I'm good, How are you?
Speaker 3 (30:04):
I'm good? What's your question today for us?
Speaker 12 (30:07):
My boyfriend of two years is trying to go back
to his homecoming, but he wants to go by himself,
and he has quite a crazy past. And I'm just,
you know, concerned if I should be like, should.
Speaker 6 (30:20):
I be worried?
Speaker 9 (30:21):
No?
Speaker 2 (30:21):
No, let that man cheat in peace?
Speaker 3 (30:24):
All right? It's two against one here? What do you think, Justina?
Should he should she be worried?
Speaker 6 (30:28):
He definitely worried. He's trying to go back to his
homecoming and he's trying to go back to that old thing.
Speaker 3 (30:33):
What's the reason?
Speaker 9 (30:34):
Like?
Speaker 3 (30:34):
What does he say that? When you're like, why can't
I come?
Speaker 12 (30:38):
Don't his guy friends we're all doing it together.
Speaker 6 (30:42):
He doesn't want her to come because he wants to
just with someone else.
Speaker 2 (30:46):
So I think that's what guy's trip though. Why he
got to take her everywhere?
Speaker 3 (30:50):
I think, well, he has a crazy past, and listen,
if she wants to go. You guys have been together
for two years. Has he ever cheated on you?
Speaker 12 (30:58):
No, not that I know.
Speaker 3 (31:00):
Do you trust him a little?
Speaker 7 (31:02):
Have you?
Speaker 2 (31:03):
Have you cheated a little?
Speaker 6 (31:06):
What you need to do is just get you like
an all black sweat to cap a hood a little
mask pop out on him.
Speaker 4 (31:15):
No, if you really want to be a legend, when
he goes the homecoming, you come to.
Speaker 3 (31:19):
New York Man.
Speaker 6 (31:20):
Yeah, he's free that night, and we're and we're charging
a reasonable rate.
Speaker 3 (31:25):
It's two hours in a moment and yeah no, but listen,
I'm gonna say this. Here's what I would do if
I were you, I would be like, you know what,
I know you want to be with your boys. I
hate being away from you. I'm gonna have a girl,
So we're gonna come out there to you do your
thing with your boys, and then at night we can
at least lay down together. God, you know.
Speaker 6 (31:45):
He's trying to lay down with something else at night.
Speaker 2 (31:47):
That's the problem it why would you do?
Speaker 4 (31:50):
You do it from a place of love, Like, why
would you want to be in the same place that's
not her homecoming?
Speaker 6 (31:59):
Well, listen, if you go the homecoming, tell him don't
come home because he's cheating on you.
Speaker 9 (32:04):
There.
Speaker 3 (32:04):
That's that's my take. It's a nice sendoff.
Speaker 6 (32:06):
Yeah, do you have men no money to book maino
twenty k for two hours?
Speaker 5 (32:11):
Cheat?
Speaker 3 (32:12):
But do you really think he's gonna cheat? Let's be honest, Like,
if you have to think about it and say.
Speaker 7 (32:16):
No, I don't know.
Speaker 12 (32:17):
I don't put anything past anyone.
Speaker 3 (32:19):
Smart, Okay, I will say this. I believe in the girls' trips,
Like I take girls trips with my friend, and it's
not because I'm trying to do anything. But I also
believe that if my man felt uneasy about something, I
would do what I needed to do to make him
feel more comfortable. So if that meant, okay, I'm doing
a girl's trip, but you know, come out. Just know
that I'm gonna be with my girls during the day
and we might party, but I'll see you later. If
(32:41):
that makes it more comfortable, I'm okay with it, right,
And that's a good compromise. So that's a good compromise. Now,
if he flips out and it's like, oh hell no,
then that's weird.
Speaker 12 (32:51):
Yeah, thank you guys.
Speaker 3 (32:53):
All right, you know what you gotta do, girl, cheat
back something, get you lick back. Baby. This is Savage
up here, all right. Well that is ask ye. She's
even more confused now, but thank you Sarah for calling.
When we come back, Loupe Fiasco it's going to be here.
He is on tour right now, and he has his
album Samurai that's been out for the past couple of months,
(33:14):
and he's got all special kinds of things. But you know,
a conversation with Loupe is always going to be some
next level. All right, it's way up there.
Speaker 5 (33:22):
You don't want to know my name?
Speaker 3 (33:23):
Way up with Angela ye?
Speaker 8 (33:25):
Turn me on.
Speaker 3 (33:27):
What's up his? Way up with Angela yee? And long
time Lupe Fiasco is here with me congrets. It's been
a long time since I've seen you. I feel like
when they first said you were coming up here, I
was thinking about when you had did that protest outside
of Atlantic Records.
Speaker 2 (33:42):
I didn't do that.
Speaker 13 (33:44):
Then we go my fans, okay did that? They were like, yo,
we want the album. I think it was Lasers. So
that was two thousand and eleven.
Speaker 3 (33:54):
You were there, though you had to show up.
Speaker 11 (33:56):
It was like, what do I do?
Speaker 2 (33:57):
Do I not show up? So I showed up to
s O. Police won't let me in the building. It
was crazy, But it's.
Speaker 3 (34:04):
An amazing time because I've never seen something like that
happen before, where your fans actually start this whole protest.
Some of the employees were outside.
Speaker 13 (34:11):
Too, I feel like, and it was a legit protest.
They like went to the City of New York, got
a permit, police had to come down. It's the whole thing.
Speaker 3 (34:18):
Right now, I'm talking to Loop A Fiasco. His album
Samurai is out and he's also on tour. Well, how
did you end up getting off Atlantic?
Speaker 13 (34:24):
Finally, Anonymous the Hacker group we was on my fifth album.
It was on my fifth album. It was called Tattoo
on Youth and Anonymous the Hack. So I'm like, hey,
y'all my fans fantastic with fans. Yo, you know album
(34:44):
release date?
Speaker 2 (34:45):
What's the release date? I don't know what all, but
they know now. So now the fans know, They're like, yo,
we've been through this back three album every album is
this release date? Shenanigan's okay. Cool.
Speaker 13 (34:55):
Some of my fans happen to be computer hackers by
the name of Anonymous. Anonymous if you folks don't know,
they're like the world's anonymous computer hacker. They attack whole countries,
they attack the KKK, they you know, they all types
of crazy stuff North Korea. Like they're wild, right, and
they're fans and it just happened to be fans Lupe
Fiasco because of Occupy Wall Street. Okay, right, I raised
(35:18):
some money for Occupy Wall Street, took some generators food
all of different camps around the country because I believed
in it.
Speaker 7 (35:23):
Right.
Speaker 13 (35:24):
And now, mind you, I don't know who in who
these people are areymous right, I don't know who they are.
I didn't ask them to do anything. But once it
became like, hinted like there's no release date for Tatsuo
on you. So they were like, this is a heye
Atlantic record because.
Speaker 2 (35:38):
Usually know how they do that. Atlantic to do with
the beef the Deata mask for real, At Atlantic Records,
you have a history of blah blah blah with your artist.
If you do not give Lupe.
Speaker 13 (35:48):
Fiasco a release date within twenty four hours, We're going
to docs and cyber attack Atlantic Records, Warner Music and
all of your subsidiary companies, employees and everyone. Twenty five
hours later a release date like this, please date, and
asked me what did I want to do. I'm gonna
keep it the buck and it's like yo loop, I
was like, I got to do with this. I was like,
(36:09):
why would you submit to that? Do whatever it needs
to do, right, So they put out a release date.
Not only that, here's the release date. But then also
here's your release date.
Speaker 3 (36:19):
Oh wow, you gotta go with that good news, school
and release date.
Speaker 13 (36:26):
I mean absolutely absolutely that that period of time Atlantic
was very dark for me, suicidal, like I want to
hurt people like it.
Speaker 2 (36:33):
Was bad, it was real bad.
Speaker 3 (36:34):
You were trapped, is yeah?
Speaker 13 (36:35):
Yeah, yeah, I was trapped. I couldn't do it and
you can't do nothing. It's like you want to put
people in the trunk for real, and it's like you
can't do that. It deserves it, but I don't want
to go to jail for this.
Speaker 3 (36:46):
No, definitely, you know, like this stupid Loupe Fiasco is here,
and you know, not only is he a professor as
well as an artist, but he dropped a lot of insight.
You're gonna love this. It's way up at the Angela. Ye,
we have more when we come back.
Speaker 1 (36:59):
It's way up with Angela.
Speaker 3 (37:00):
Let's girl.
Speaker 13 (37:01):
You are a media maven, right, people, you never know
what Ang's gonna say.
Speaker 3 (37:06):
What's up his way up at Angela?
Speaker 9 (37:07):
Yee?
Speaker 3 (37:08):
I'm here with Loupe Fiasco. All right? So now you
have Samur right out and congratulations on that. And I
know the whole inspiration behind that was not that it's
based on Amy Whitehouse, but just a quote that you
heard from her in her documentary. Ye yeah, yeah, all right,
so explain that for everyone to hear.
Speaker 13 (37:24):
A big documentary. Fan watch all our documentaries that so
hers came up and so I'm watching it. But it
shows the other side, just something about being in the
life of an artist, struggling, trying to create, get your
music out, do all your stuff, or you face a
lot of those things, how you cope with it in
different ways. Right, But when she said that if you
want a battle, come give me a cue, because I'm
(37:44):
a samurai, it was like, yo, bang, what if.
Speaker 2 (37:47):
Amy white House was a battle rapp up?
Speaker 9 (37:49):
Right?
Speaker 13 (37:49):
And so initially just started as like taking that that
what she said, I got these really neat, very very
beautifully illiterated a little battle raps, and so like, oh,
I'm gonna just take that stock make a chorus out
of that, and this build like a little portrait of her.
And so you just got this one song and then
that turns into like, well she was a battle rapper,
you know, how she get up powers, how she learned
how to rap, so and tell it. Now that's another song. Right,
(38:10):
and it's like, well, who do she battled? Then it's like,
love that did you win?
Speaker 2 (38:16):
How's go on? Been out like maybe two months? Three months?
Very very good reviews, which is dope. We're doing a
tour now of the record.
Speaker 3 (38:23):
Oh yeah, I said, you just kicked off the tour
in New York. It's the first day.
Speaker 2 (38:26):
So we got two more months. Last shows in La
November twenty fifth.
Speaker 3 (38:30):
Right now I'm talking to loup a Fiasco. His album
Samurai is out and he's also on tour. Is it
wild to you that you can say something and like
critique something and then it turns into a whole other
snowball situation? How many times do you start to type
something and then delete it? Does that happen to you
a lot?
Speaker 2 (38:46):
I'm not on social media anymore?
Speaker 3 (38:47):
Okay, So that's that. That's that.
Speaker 2 (38:49):
That So with clear, so everybody knows she didn't. I'm
not I peek in ie lerk.
Speaker 13 (38:55):
But as we have a team now like I should
have had, you know, ten years ago, I talk about, Hey,
I want to talk about this, let's do that. I
have a reputation for being the guy with the bad
takes at the wrong time, right, I don't know how
to manage certain situations very well. I have a resting face,
(39:17):
and so you mix all that together and it just
becomes like I hate Lupe Fiasco. Like I love his
music and I like kick push and skateboarding, but I
dislike this dude because he said pop up.
Speaker 3 (39:29):
Maybe you embrace being the heel, but no.
Speaker 2 (39:32):
I don't. I'll pull his back. I do think I'm
a villain right for various reasons, but not for the
reasons that people think.
Speaker 3 (39:39):
Okay, what are the reasons that you are.
Speaker 13 (39:41):
I'm I can't get into that right now. They'll be
knocking on this door and subpoenaing in this interview right here. No,
but it's really just like I've seen a lot of
terrible things, you know, And I've been around a lot
of terrible.
Speaker 2 (39:55):
People who get away with Scott free and the flip
side of it.
Speaker 13 (40:00):
I've been around people that are so authentic, that are
so real that I can tell the difference almost instantly.
And I'm sitting in the spot where as an artist,
the definition of the role of artists is supposed to
play in a spokesperson in society. You're supposed to go
along with what we say we had a crazy conversation.
Speaker 5 (40:19):
In the car.
Speaker 2 (40:20):
We're not gonna do it, I know, but they know,
they know.
Speaker 13 (40:24):
So we having a conversation in the car where it's
like something is said that's wild, extra wild, but it's true.
Speaker 3 (40:32):
But if we ever said that, it's over with. Okay.
Speaker 13 (40:36):
So you got to sit there in a certain amount
of silence. But also you talk to hundreds of thousands
and millions of people, but you got to be silent
and be honest. So it rips me apart. But when
it's all said and done, I'm in a very beautiful place.
Speaker 3 (40:50):
All right, Well, listen, thank you so much for coming through.

Speaker 3 (41:35):
I ran a passive income and I like.
Speaker 6 (41:36):
This because it's usually like, you know, the the guy
collecting the money and sending the girls out.
Speaker 3 (41:42):
It's twenty four.
Speaker 2 (41:42):
So we're switching out.
Speaker 3 (41:44):
Yeah, we're putting man on task grab it as the
rebound guy. Guy put me in the game, coach. You know,
rebounding is important, right, Yeah.

to because we could start filming things. And there's a
lot of talk.
