and they're going to offer a series of workshops, mentorship programs,
and writing labs to help empower writers from diverse backgrounds.
So they are now selecting participants who will have the
(02:27):
opportunity to get a guidance from these industry vets, develop
their scripts, and potentially see those scripts brought to life
on screen.
Speaker 4 (02:37):
Can you imagine that's amazing opportunity.
Speaker 2 (02:40):
All right, So the applications for the first round of
these workshops are open right now, and she said, at
a time when DEI is historically under attack, it is
more important than ever that we stand tall and boldly
protect the ability for all people to gain access to
opportunities to share their own stories. So shout out to
our girl Erica Alexander for that. And guys, make sure
(03:02):
you go ahead and get your applications. And everybody's always like, oh,

discuss its Way up Eat is next going way out
with Angela.

Yee to make switching to the new boost Mobile risk free.
We're offering a thirty day money back guarantee.

Speaker 8 (04:27):
Because we have nothing to lose. Boost Mobile is offering
a thirty day money back guarantee.
Speaker 13 (04:30):
No, I asked, why wouldn't you switch from Verizon or
T Mobile?
Speaker 8 (04:34):
Wouldn't because you love wasting money as a way to
punish yourself because your mother never showed you enough love
as a child.
Speaker 10 (04:41):
Well easy there.
Speaker 13 (04:42):
Yeah, applies to online activations, requires poured in and auto pay.

gossip out.
Speaker 10 (04:55):
Send Angela's spilling a Yeazi.
Speaker 3 (04:58):
It's way up and Angela, ye I'm here Jasmine Brand's
when I'm.
Speaker 4 (05:01):
Not just any brand on my own brand.
Speaker 2 (05:03):
Yes, let's look at the Jasmine brand dot com and
see was going down. Yeah, So Steve Harvey, it looks
like he is throwing some subliminals at Kat Williams.
Speaker 3 (05:11):
That's what people think he's referring to.
Speaker 2 (05:14):
When Steve Harvey was at invest Fest, he had some
things to say about his haters.
Speaker 6 (05:20):
You don't get off the wall, boy, don't work for you.
Now you just stopped your climb below the wall so
you can come.
Speaker 13 (05:32):
Down your.
Speaker 5 (05:36):
Yes, and I still got hats and I'm.
Speaker 11 (05:43):
Straight.
Speaker 3 (05:45):
Okay, It does seem like that's who he was talking about. Yeah,
clearly was his response. He seemed very angry about that.
He did.
Speaker 4 (05:51):
He seemed like it just happened yesterday. I forgot about this.
Speaker 3 (05:54):
You know what, thought I will say, Cat Williams probably
loves this.
Speaker 4 (05:57):
Yeah, he does.
Speaker 3 (05:58):
And that's the thing. Sometimes people want a response.
Speaker 4 (06:01):
He gave them one.
Speaker 2 (06:02):
All right now, Halle Berry is requesting sole legal custody
of her and Olivier Martinez, his son. She says that
he puts their child in the middle of their disputes
and that he doesn't coperent in a way that is
effective for them. You know, they got married back, well,
they were dating back in twenty ten, got engaged a
year later, then they got married in twenty thirteen. They
(06:25):
had their son that same year, but then there were
some issues and she filed for divorce saving era consolable differences,
and so they ended up separating in twenty sixteen. But
they've been having this battle over their son ever since then. No,
you know, that's really tough when two parents can't figure
it out and co parent together, because then who suffers
the most child? All right now, Megan, this stallion, it
(06:48):
looks like she has a new boo. She did this
whole couple's challenge video as they were laying in bed together.
And this person is Chicago Bulls player Tory And here
is that challenge.
Speaker 13 (07:02):
Most likely challenged. Couple's edition, Who's most likely to get arrested,
who's the better kisser, who said I love you first?
Who starts the most arguments?
Speaker 2 (07:19):
Well, okay, that's how you reveal your man, do a challenge.
I don't understand why people are so upset though, because
I see them saying, oh, she shouldn't be paid.
Speaker 3 (07:26):
But like people upset, well, they were like, why is
she posting? She didn't learn?
Speaker 2 (07:30):
But I feel like partisan Fontaine has moved on. He's
really posting his girl. You know, if she wants to
seven times. When you're in a relationship, sometimes you just
feel like I don't want to post my man. Yeah,
and she did.
Speaker 4 (07:40):
I'm not mad at it, okay.
Speaker 2 (07:42):
Rick Russ's investment in Wingstyp, according to reports Forbes is
saying that that is a great investment in that there
has been positive sales growth and surging stock prices. His
first location was near Memphis, then he expanded to five
locations by twenty fourteen, and he's that there was an
uptick of fifty percent in monthly revenue. So now he
(08:04):
has thirty almost thirty locations, and some locations are making
two hundred thousand dollars annually according to Afrotech. But Wingstop
in general has been doing really well as a.
Speaker 3 (08:15):
Company since it went public in twenty fifteen.
Speaker 2 (08:18):
Stock prices have served in the past five years two
hundred and sixty two percent, and over the last year,
the share price has doubled by one hundred and thirty
three percent.
Speaker 4 (08:27):
When's the last time you had a Wingstop?
Speaker 2 (08:29):
It's actually won right near my house? That oh, yes,
that our frequence?
Speaker 4 (08:33):
Yes, so yes, And your favorite flavor is, of course
lemon pepper.
Speaker 2 (08:36):
Yes, you already know what it is. All right, Well
that is your yet since we're talking all about money,
and when we come back, we have about last night.
But speaking of money, Rihanna wants you to have her
money and she got a lot of it.
Speaker 3 (08:48):
It's way up night.
Speaker 10 (08:51):
So about last night? Yes, Pisai went down?
Speaker 3 (08:56):
No last night? What's up? Jazzmin?
Speaker 4 (09:01):
I'm my own brand?
Speaker 3 (09:03):
All right. Now, let's talk about what we did last night?
What'd you do?
Speaker 14 (09:07):
I we went to eat, we ate peaches. I had
some amazing fried shrimp, a Caesar salad, and an amazing
around food.
Speaker 3 (09:15):
I love it.
Speaker 2 (09:16):
All right, well I was, actually I was with you.
We did that, and then I caught up on a
Reasonable Doubt on Hulu. So you know, season two started,
So episodes one and two already dropped tomorrow's episode three.
Speaker 4 (09:28):
Okay, did you know? Did you see season one?
Speaker 3 (09:30):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (09:31):
Okay, all right, but you know what I'm what I
enjoy when I sometimes watch shows they're in couples therapy
right now, and so a lot of times, like when
you're listening to the advice that the therapist is giving
them about how they should handle their relationship, that's like
real life advice.
Speaker 3 (09:47):
It's like you kind of don't got to go to therapy.
Speaker 2 (09:48):
You could just watch TV, watch other couples in therapy.
That's true, and be like, Okay, that's good advice. It's
a very attractive cast too, Yeah, yeah, yeah, it is.
Everyone's attractive everyone. And Morris Chestnut is on this season too, and.
Speaker 4 (10:02):
Last season was Michael Eay another tract of man.
Speaker 2 (10:04):
Ye all right, well, I want to say one of
the things that they were talking about with a therapist
was telling them to not keep score on like you
do this, So I did that.
Speaker 3 (10:15):
I thought that was interesting advice.
Speaker 2 (10:17):
Yeah, like instead of everything being like a tip for
tad or when you do this, I'm going to do this,
or this happen you know how. Sometimes you're in argument
with somebody over something, yeah, and you start bringing up
other stuff like, well, you always do this, It's not
really supposed to be like that.
Speaker 3 (10:31):
Let's address the issue at hand. Yes.
Speaker 2 (10:33):
And one thing I always say, and they were saying
this on the show too, is that all couples argue.
And he said that's a good sign when couples argue,
because that means you guys are still caring enough to
fight for their relationship.
Speaker 3 (10:45):
But it's how you argue.
Speaker 4 (10:47):
Yeah, you have to know how to argue.
Speaker 2 (10:48):
And I always say when you want to be in
a good relationship, you have to be able to argue successfully.
Like sometimes people argue just to be right or just
for the sake of arguing or for other reasons, but
when you're really trying to get some understanding and figuring out, Okay,
how do we resolve this?
Speaker 4 (11:04):
Yeah, and it because you're also got to listen. Do
you ever do a couple therapy? No?
Speaker 3 (11:09):
You think everybody should do that at some point.
Speaker 14 (11:11):
Yeah, they want you want to stay together for a while.
I think it's imperative.
Speaker 2 (11:16):
All right, Well that was about last night. Now when
we come back, you know what it is?
Speaker 3 (11:20):
Oh who?
Speaker 2 (11:20):
Sometimes these secrets cause arguments and tell us a secret.
Eight hundred two ninety two fifty one fifty. I just
want to say, we created this segment for you guys
to be able to tell secrets that you haven't been
able to share anywhere else. And maybe it's something that's
been weighing on you at burden. You just want to
get it out there so you could finally tell someone,
and this is a safe place to do that. Yep,
(11:43):
we're not going to judge you. You remain anonymous that
we have no idea who you are. And it's a
win win for you two because you get it out
there and then the listeners are entertained.
Speaker 4 (11:51):
Yes, are you not to detain?
Speaker 2 (11:52):
Our way up gang is all entertained by whatever you
have going on in your life. So eight hundred two
nine two fifty one fifty is a number. Anything that
you want to tell us, we want to hear your
secrets again. That number is eight hundred two nine two
fifty one fifty. It's way up at Angela.
Speaker 3 (12:06):

Speaker 10 (12:08):
This is a judgment for his own tell us a secret,
all right.
Speaker 3 (12:12):
It's a way up at Angela. Ye.
Speaker 15 (12:13):
I'm here.
Speaker 3 (12:14):
Jasmine brand is here with me.
Speaker 4 (12:16):
I'm not just any brand.
Speaker 3 (12:17):
I'm my own brand. You know what it is.
Speaker 2 (12:19):
And we're ready to hear your secrets. Eight hundred two
nine two fifty one fifty and the Rulds are You
get to stay anonymous, okay, and we're not gonna judge you.
This is a way for you, guys, to purge whatever
it is that is a burden on you, those secrets
that you haven't told anybody that's weighing you.
Speaker 3 (12:34):
Down, that you're like.
Speaker 2 (12:35):
Man, if I could just put this out in the atmosphere,
I can feel so much lighter, all right. Eight hundred
two ninety two fifty one fifty anonymous color, tell us
your secret.
Speaker 11 (12:45):
I am twenty nine mmkay, and I've been dealing with
this one that's younger than me. Okay, Well I get
here now. I just found out that I was pregnant.
I don't didn't tell anybody because I don't know like
they to do. Because I know he's like a lot
younger than What do.
Speaker 4 (13:00):
You mean a lot?
Speaker 3 (13:01):
Yeah? What's a lot younger?
Speaker 11 (13:04):
He just turned eighteen?
Speaker 3 (13:05):
Oh wow, so he was seventeen when you started dealing
with him?
Speaker 14 (13:08):
Or yeah, in seventeen? Seventeen is legal in New York?
What state are you in?
Speaker 11 (13:14):
Philadelphia?
Speaker 2 (13:15):
All right, let's see what the age of consent is.
So we got to make sure this is not a
crime first. Okay, sixteen, Okay, there you go. All right,
so it's legal. How does he feel about the fact
that you're pregnant?
Speaker 11 (13:25):
He wants me to keep it, but I'm more so like,
I know it's not the thing.
Speaker 3 (13:29):
Are you gonna stay with him?
Speaker 5 (13:32):
Doesn't he a possible thing?
Speaker 11 (13:34):
I just feel like it's like the right person in
a long time.
Speaker 4 (13:37):
Does he live with his parents or no?
Speaker 5 (13:40):
He does?
Speaker 11 (13:41):
The days a thing?
Speaker 2 (13:43):
Oh okay, you guys live together, so everyone knows about this.
Speaker 3 (13:47):
They just don't know you're pregnant.
Speaker 2 (13:49):
Right, Oh, well that's not as hard. Woll How eighteen
and he lives with you? Does he have a job,
what's he doing?
Speaker 11 (13:55):
Well, he does have a job.
Speaker 4 (13:57):
Okay, we'll start.
Speaker 11 (13:58):
I have two kids. It's like I kind of know, okay,
what this situation.
Speaker 3 (14:02):
Can be of that's a lot girl.
Speaker 2 (14:05):
Okay, well listen, we're not judging you, but thank you

Speaker 3 (14:13):
All right, thank you. Hey, Anonymus called it. How are you?
Speaker 11 (14:16):
I'm great? How are you?
Speaker 3 (14:17):
You want to tell me and Jasmine a secret?
Speaker 11 (14:20):
Yeah, I like to have sex with why?
Speaker 3 (14:22):
Okay, you like to have sex why the man watches?
Speaker 10 (14:25):
Yes.
Speaker 2 (14:26):
So it's like a cut situation. So you have sex
with the wife and then the husband watches you.
Speaker 3 (14:31):
Guys have sex.
Speaker 4 (14:32):
Right, how long have you been doing this?
Speaker 11 (14:34):
Maybe like two years?
Speaker 3 (14:35):
And you get paid for it?
Speaker 9 (14:37):
No, I don't get paid for it, just like a
you know, like a like a sexual effect.
Speaker 2 (14:41):
Well you know you could. I'm just putting it out there.
How do you find these situations?
Speaker 4 (14:45):
That's what I'm wondering. Where are you?
Speaker 11 (14:47):
Just like on website? You got a couple websites like.
Speaker 3 (14:50):
Tell me about the first time you did it? What
was that like?
Speaker 5 (14:53):
Well, the first time was a little awkward with the
guy was trying to like play director or.
Speaker 3 (14:57):
Something to Oh yeah, no, don't tell me. Had to
do my business.
Speaker 11 (15:04):
I want to do it.
Speaker 5 (15:04):

Speaker 3 (15:06):
Well, thank you for sharing with us.
Speaker 11 (15:08):
All right, thanks for having me and.
Speaker 2 (15:10):
For sharing with everyone that's different. Yes, all right, well
that was tell us a secret.
Speaker 3 (15:15):
Thank you guys. Y'all have some good ones today, very
sexual and.
Speaker 2 (15:17):
When we come back, we have your yet and Alicia
Keys made some statements about DJs. I got to see
what the context was though, but people were upset about it.
Speaker 3 (15:26):
Will play it for you. It's way up at the Angela.
Speaker 10 (15:27):
Yee Joe, she about to blow the lead ab off
this pot. Let's get it. Oh yeah, Angela's feeling that.
Yee te Come and get the tea.
Speaker 3 (15:34):
All right? His way up, I'm here. Jasmine brand is here.
Speaker 4 (15:37):
I'm not just any brand, I'm my own brand. You
ready for some yet, I'm ready?
Speaker 3 (15:41):
All right?
Speaker 2 (15:42):
And here is an update on Comedy Centrals. Everybody still
hates Chris So the animated version, by the way, the
premier date is going to be September twenty fifth, okay,
so everybody's excited for that. And you know that's the
animated series that's based on Chris Rock's life that's going
to be coming out. So they also have a first
(16:02):
look if you guys want to google it and see
what that looks like too.
Speaker 4 (16:05):
Okay, I loved the show, so I'm sure this is
gonna be good.
Speaker 3 (16:08):
I know, an animated version. All right.
Speaker 2 (16:10):
Now, IRV Gotti has suffered a stroke and is walking
with a cane. Whack one hundred first revealed that news
and said that everybody should pray for him. He said
he received images of IRV Gotti from recovery, showing one
photo where he was walking with a cane, and IRV
Gotti's rep did confirm this and tell tmz Erv has
been struggling with diabetes for years, which caused him to
(16:32):
have a minor stroke over six months ago. He has
since changed his diet to eating more healthy. He's been
successful in making a full recovery. IRV is not in
a rehab facility. He is at home with his family
enjoying life.
Speaker 4 (16:44):
Okay, that's good.
Speaker 2 (16:45):
All right, So that is the update. Now let's talk
about Alicia Keys. Alicia Keys people were upset about some
things that she had to say. She had some things
to say about DJs, and here's what she said about DJs.
Speaker 3 (17:01):
What do the DJs actually do? I don't think they're
remixing the song on the spot.
Speaker 16 (17:05):
I'm pretty sure they've like programmed it ahead of time,
So what are they actually doing?
Speaker 3 (17:10):
Are they just turning up the volume, turning down the
volume and pressing? And now are DJ in here? Dj?
Speaker 2 (17:23):
Nick navy Seo. What did you think about those comments
and what she was saying.
Speaker 16 (17:26):
Well, first and foremost E Day Secetember. First, DJs are musicians.
Our notes are just songs, and the most important thing
about DJing is the way the song is introduced, creating
a transition. So in the context, what you said is,
some remixes are pre recorded and then played because it
gainst the crowd hype. But some of them who are
really good, like ma, do the remix live. So it
(17:48):
really depends on who the DJ is.
Speaker 3 (17:50):
Right.
Speaker 2 (17:50):
There's some amazing DJs, and then there are some DJs
who you're like.
Speaker 14 (17:53):
What, dude, Well, if I was a DJ, I would
just have my playlist ready already and then I just played.
Speaker 2 (17:58):
I've seen people really just have a whole playlist in
this serrato that they just play and don't really do anything,
and sometimes they walk back and forth.
Speaker 3 (18:05):
I'm like, who's DJ?
Speaker 14 (18:06):
And that's probably what Alicia was thinking when she said that,
which is weird because Swiss Beats is a producer and
a DJ.
Speaker 2 (18:11):
So right, well, you know it's both things can be true. Yeah,
there's some DJ and there's.
Speaker 3 (18:19):
Some DJs who we know is do an amazing jobs?
Speaker 12 (18:23):
Was it?
Speaker 3 (18:23):
What does she say? All right?
Speaker 2 (18:25):
And Travis Scott's Days before Rodeo expected to outsell most
twenty twenty four rap albums.
Speaker 3 (18:32):
That's what it's on course to do.
Speaker 2 (18:34):
Released commercially for the first time last week to celebrate
the tenth anniversary. They're saying that it's going to sell
two hundred and seventeen thousand equivalent units in its first week.
Speaker 4 (18:44):
That's a wild Dan is a big Traviscott fan, right.
Speaker 2 (18:47):
Oh my god, he's going crazy over here in the corner.
He's not in his head. He want to get on
the mic so bad.
Speaker 3 (18:52):
Go ahead, Dan, I might be responsible for a lot
of those seals.
Speaker 14 (18:54):
I was thinking of first Dan and Angela. I don't
know any Travis Scott fans, not being like shady, but
I'll like actually I do.
Speaker 2 (19:01):
Yeah, all right, well that is your Yet when we
come back, we have under the radar. These are the
stories that are not necessarily and the headlines they are
flying under the radar.
Speaker 3 (19:11):
It's way up news.
Speaker 9 (19:14):
This in the news that relates to you. These stories
are flying under the radar.
Speaker 3 (19:18):
It's way up. But Angela, yee, I'm here. Jasmine brand
is here.
Speaker 4 (19:21):
I'm not just any brand. I'm my own brand.
Speaker 2 (19:24):
Everybody's so hyped to hear that. Drake and Sexy Red
my everything.
Speaker 4 (19:27):
I like that. It's grateful. If you can't sing like us,
you can sing.
Speaker 3 (19:32):
A lot to that. Implying that she can't sing.
Speaker 4 (19:35):
Yes, I am applying she cannot sing.
Speaker 3 (19:38):
But that is so amazing.
Speaker 4 (19:39):
Yeah, I love it.
Speaker 2 (19:40):
Like remember when Little Wayne would sing how to Love
and things like that, and you felt like, I can
sing too.
Speaker 4 (19:46):
I can do this too, all right.
Speaker 2 (19:48):
Vice President Kamala Harris is going to be sitting down
with CNN this week. It's going to be her first
interview since she has decided that she is going to
run for president, and so I know a lot of.
Speaker 3 (19:59):
People look, when is she gonna do? Yeah, well, here
you go. Okay.
Speaker 2 (20:03):
That's gonna be airing Thursday at nine pm Eastern time.
Speaker 4 (20:06):
Okay, that'll be a big deal.
Speaker 2 (20:06):
She'll also be joined by her running mate, Governor Tim Wallas.
By the way, I like him all right. In the meantime,
the Swifties till his swifts. Fans have raised over one
hundred thousand dollars in donations, by the way, so people
are excited for this. I see she has definitely outraised
Donald Trump when it comes to people donating to her campaign.
And and Donald Trump has agreed to debate Kamala Harris.
(20:30):
Initially he wasn't. It felt like he was backing out.
He didn't feel comfortable, he didn't want it to be
on ABC fake News. But he did say I have
reached an agreement with the radical left Democrats for a
debate with Comrade Kamala Harris. It would be broadcast live
on ABC Fake News by far, the nastiest and most
unfair newscaster in this business, on Tuesday, September tenth, in.
Speaker 3 (20:51):
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. What a great way to promote.
Speaker 14 (20:53):
What you have going on, nastiest and most unfair newscaster
in the He's so funny to me.
Speaker 2 (20:58):
Imagine if you were going to be hosting an event,
appearing in an event on a panel, and this.
Speaker 3 (21:02):
Is how you promoted it.
Speaker 2 (21:04):
I will be appearing at iHeart the nastiest fakeness.
Speaker 4 (21:08):
It's got to be good.
Speaker 3 (21:09):
What kind of promotion is that?
Speaker 4 (21:10):
Do you think he's really going to do this, because
I still feel like he's not going.
Speaker 3 (21:13):
To well, he said.
Speaker 2 (21:14):
They reached an agreement to follow the same set of
rules he and Joe Biden did during the June twenty
seventh CNN debate. No live audience, muted microphones when the
candidates aren't speaking.
Speaker 3 (21:23):
So we're not going to catch no live hot mic oh, yeah,
with anything.
Speaker 4 (21:27):
And so I think they should have had a live audience.
Speaker 3 (21:31):
It would be nice, but he does not want that.
Speaker 2 (21:33):
Yeah, maybe he's traumatized from.
Speaker 3 (21:36):
What getting shot in the ear.
Speaker 2 (21:38):
Okay, all right, all right, And lastly, and I just
thought this story was interesting.
Speaker 3 (21:43):
This is what happened in a museum in Israel.
Speaker 2 (21:46):
A thirty five hundred year old jar was accidentally smashed.
A four year old actually touched the very rare artifact
that was dated back to the Bronze Age between twenty
two hundred and fifteen hundred BC. It was display near
the entrance of the museum, but there was no glass
around it. They said that there was a special charm
in showing archaeological finds without obstructions.
Speaker 3 (22:08):
The four year.
Speaker 4 (22:09):
Old alex Oh Alex.
Speaker 2 (22:11):
Pulled the jar slightly. He wanted to know what was inside.
It fell and it was just smashed into pieces.
Speaker 4 (22:16):
Ah, poor Alex.
Speaker 3 (22:19):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (22:19):
Well you know they did invite him back to the
museum after this, and they said they are going to
restore the jar and it will be returned there in
a short time. Okay, all right, well that is you're
under the radar now, you know. We have the Way
Up Mix at the top of the hour. Plus we
have Michelle Anthony joining us for Wealth Wednesday. She guest
hosted and was our guest this whole Wealth Wednesday this
(22:40):
month for Black Business Month, talking about government contracting and
we have your questions, the most popular questions that you
guys had about government contracting and how you can get
in on it and get some cash.
Speaker 3 (22:51):
It's way up.
Speaker 2 (22:53):
She's like the tout like they, Angelie Jean like they
and Jelie Jean.
Speaker 10 (22:56):
Man, She's spilling it all. This is yeaty.
Speaker 3 (23:02):
What's up his way up at Angela? Yee, I'm here,
Jasmine brand is here.
Speaker 4 (23:05):
Yes, I'm here, Angela And let's get.
Speaker 3 (23:07):
Into this yet.
Speaker 2 (23:08):
All right, So the new episode of lip Service came
out yesterday featuring Mono Leo, and one thing that she
talked about is a Don Julio remix that she had
with Rob four nine where she references Tupac.
Speaker 3 (23:19):
Here is that clip.
Speaker 1 (23:20):
You're gonna be with Tupac when I come to show
up the studio.
Speaker 2 (23:23):
Well, apparently, you know, somebody got mad at her from
Tupac side of things, and though the lyrics were offensive,
and here's what she had to say about that interaction.
Speaker 15 (23:33):
This is not me disrespecting. Yeah, I was really just saying, like,
it's really a bar. There's a studio out here in
New York called Quad. Every time you go to Quad,
there's an intern there who's walking you up and they're
gonna tell you the story over here. Tupac got shot
and he was right here in the elevator to So
that's what was on my mind when I recorded that song.
But it was it wasn't me this in Tupac. So
I'm trying to over eax.
Speaker 2 (23:50):
I was so embarrassed, all right, So she said she
wasn't this in Tupac. It's just bars. Yeah, you know,
but but you know, both things can be true. She
wasn't intentionally doing that, but somebody was offended.
Speaker 14 (24:01):
Yeah, I guess if if I was a Tupac diehard
fan or family member.
Speaker 4 (24:05):
I can see being a little offended.
Speaker 3 (24:07):
All right now.
Speaker 2 (24:07):
In addition to that, she talked about her relationship with
Standard for Vegas. You know, they have a cute little
baby together, and she discussed the first time that they
got together.
Speaker 3 (24:16):
Here's what went down or didn't go down.
Speaker 15 (24:18):
I ended up inviting him to like a couple of
my shows. He came out with my family. She was
like super supportive. I ended up going to his house
and we did.
Speaker 3 (24:26):
But you know, I was about to ask no, exactly,
like what did y'all do?
Speaker 4 (24:30):
I just fell asleep.
Speaker 3 (24:30):
I was super drunk.
Speaker 15 (24:31):
But I really appreciated how polite he was. Like he
took I had some little cardio glasses. He took them,
he folded them and put it on his light stick.
He took my shoes, he put them up in a corner,
put my purse up. Everything was safe.
Speaker 3 (24:41):
That's secure exactly. And I just went to sleep.
Speaker 15 (24:44):
He didn't try me.
Speaker 3 (24:45):
See that's somebody you can trust.
Speaker 15 (24:47):
Yep.
Speaker 2 (24:48):
Okay, all right, well you can match that full lip
service interview that's out right now on iHeart and next up,
podcaster Bobby Alltoff has announced her own live comedy show
that's going to be at the Weltern and guess who
her co host is.
Speaker 4 (24:59):
Who Oh, that's gonna be a time, she said.
Speaker 2 (25:03):
Sukie and I have always wanted to figure out a
way to continue working together, so we are both very
excited for this endeavor. We hope the show has to
start of something much bigger in the future.
Speaker 14 (25:11):
Okay. That's a cute little dynamic. I feel like they
were like kind of almost polar opposites.
Speaker 2 (25:17):
And speaking of shows, Netflix has announced a new show.
It's a new Netflix sports series that will follow the
twenty twenty three twenty twenty four season on and Off
the Court of Jimmy Butler, Anthony Edwards, Lebron, James Demanta Simonis,
and Jason Tatum. It's called Starting five, okay, and it's
coming October ninth.
Speaker 3 (25:35):
Are you excited?
Speaker 4 (25:35):
I am excited.
Speaker 3 (25:36):
That's really dope. Okay, that's amazing.
Speaker 2 (25:39):
And I know the Jasmine brand had a good story
about Mariah Carey.
Speaker 14 (25:42):
As we all know, Mariah's mother and her sister passed
on the same day and everyone was sending their condolences
and there was a tweet that went out from Luther
Vandros's account and it said sending love to Mariah Carey
today in all ways and his initials l V.
Speaker 4 (25:57):
Now Luther's not here with us. Before I was like,
he's not a He died like in two thousand and five.
Speaker 14 (26:02):
I believe, And so people were really upset that that
account was tweeting out like it was him, and then
adding the LV made it feel like it was really
from answer.
Speaker 3 (26:09):
It was kind of weird. That is a strange thing
to do.
Speaker 2 (26:11):
But maybe it's the estate is That's fine, but yeah,
then ELM's on his knee.
Speaker 4 (26:16):
It's kind of weird.
Speaker 3 (26:17):
It should be like on behalf of you know, exactly.
Speaker 2 (26:19):
Okay, yeah, all right, Well that is your yee t
And when we come back, we have asked yee eight
hundred two ninety two fifty one fifty is a number
you can call us up if you have a question.
You can also leave a voicemail and we'll answer your
question that way. And today we do have one of
your voicemails that we're gonna answer.
Speaker 3 (26:34):
It's way up at Angela Yee.
Speaker 9 (26:35):
Whether it's relationship for career advice, Angela's dropping facts.
Speaker 10 (26:38):
You should know.
Speaker 2 (26:40):
This is ask ye what's up his way up at
Angela Yee, I'm here and Jasmine brand is here.
Speaker 3 (26:45):
Yes, and it's time for ask yee.
Speaker 2 (26:47):
Eight hundred two nine two fifty one fifty is a
number any question you have. Of course, you know we
want to help you out. And today we have a
voicemail because you can also leave a voicemail and we
will answer your question that way. So here is the voicemail.
Speaker 5 (26:59):
I'm in love with.
Speaker 7 (27:00):
Two years I've been with.
Speaker 5 (27:04):
And I've been holding it in and I don't know
what to do. I don't know if I want to
let one of them go or just let full of
them go. I'm trying of confused about it.
Speaker 2 (27:14):
All right, Well, I do want to say it sounds
like you don't need to be in a relationship right
now if you don't know what you want to do.
I wouldn't say give up both of them. But I
don't know why people can't just date. Yeah, you know,
you can date more than one person at a time
until you feel like this is who I want to
be with because eventually you'll make that decision or one
(27:35):
of them, will, you know, make it for you?
Speaker 3 (27:36):
Yeah, what do you think, Jasmine?
Speaker 2 (27:38):
Have you because I think, you know, I feel like
people think I can only date one person at a time.
Speaker 14 (27:43):
Yeah, no, you can, definitely. That's the whole point of dating,
is the fact that you should date more than one person.
But being in love is a little tricky with two men.
Speaker 2 (27:51):
First of all, if you can be in love with
two guys, that's a blessing because that's like a fine one.
That's why I don't think that you should give up
both of them. But I think you need to do
is you'll be surprised what can happen when you are
truthful and when you can say to somebody, look, you know,
I love you, but you're not the only person that
I'm dating, because if you're either going to end up
(28:12):
with none of them or cheating and lying to both
of them, and then you'll later on end up with
neither one of them, you know.
Speaker 4 (28:19):
So I just think that she should be honest.
Speaker 2 (28:22):
She should be honest, and just understand that you shouldn't
be in a relationship and maybe just date because I
also feel like time will tell. Sometimes you want to
jump into things and you're like, Okay, we've been dating
two months, I love him, I want this, I want that.
But after eight months, you won't feel the same, and
so maybe give us some time date. And I don't
think it's possible to love two people the same way.
Speaker 4 (28:43):
Either not the same way, but I think there's different things.
Speaker 3 (28:46):
You can love about a person, but one will outweigh
the other.
Speaker 2 (28:50):
Because also I think sometimes we love like certain securities
that maybe somebody can provide. But I might love this person,
but they're not in that situation. It's just so many
different things.
Speaker 3 (29:00):
That go into it.
Speaker 14 (29:00):
And oftentimes I hear men say this that they're in
love with two women. It's kind of rare when I
hear women say that they're in love with two men.
Speaker 2 (29:07):
But yeah, so look, be as honest as you can.
I don't think you have to tell them all your business.
You don't have to be like, I'm dating another person.
Here's who he is, Da da da da da, But
just say I'm not ready to be in a full
fledged relationship, right, And then whoever is going to be
the one that is willing to do the work with
you that feels like that's going to be the one
that's going to stand out.
Speaker 4 (29:27):
Let the best man win.
Speaker 3 (29:28):
Yeah, it's a competition game one.
Speaker 2 (29:31):
All right, Well that was ask ye eight hundred and
two nine two fifty one fifty if you couldn't get through.
And when we come back, it's a Wealth Wednesday. We
have Stacy Tisdale joining us. We'll be talking to Michelle
Anthony about government contacting. Y'all had so many great questions
and it is a great way. I want to make
sure you guys all get in on this, just to
make sure that you secure the bag.
Speaker 3 (29:51):
All right.
Speaker 1 (29:51):
It's way up kind of dream of wealthy and I
don't mind sharing my wealth dog getting you straight financially,
mentally and physically.
Speaker 10 (29:59):
This is Wealth Wednesday on way up with Angela Yee?
Speaker 3 (30:02):
What's up? Way up at Angela Yee. I'm here. It's
a Wealth Wednesday. Of course, Stacy Tisdale's here with me.
Happy Wealth Wednesday's everybody yay? All right?
Speaker 2 (30:11):
And right now on the line, we have our good
friend Michelle Anthony. And I want to say, while I
was out over the weekend, someone came up to me
and was like, I appreciate you so much for having
these conversations about government contracts, and he's on the path
now to getting his own.
Speaker 17 (30:27):
What would you say you would want our audience to
be your key takeaways when they're starting to think of
government contracts.
Speaker 5 (30:36):
First, that you've got to have some patience and be
willing to research and prepare for government contracting because it's very,
very vast and it can seem overwhelming. But if you
allow the right mentorship, you will be able to navigate
these waters and there will be sharks in the water
(30:58):
because a lot of times people don't want to see
people that look like us tap into an opportunity that
for minorities is a great wealth generator.
Speaker 2 (31:09):
And we do have questions from our audience too that
they actually wrote in Yeah, this.
Speaker 17 (31:14):
Is so we're starting our official ask Michelle.
Speaker 3 (31:17):
I know because all right now.
Speaker 2 (31:19):
One question was about whether this can be something that
is a side hustle. A lot of people have jobs
and maybe they're not in the position to give up
their income because, like you said, you have to have
patience to be able to do this. So is this
something that you can do kind of on the side
until you get more established.
Speaker 5 (31:37):
I always say yes, don't leave your regular job until
the business takes over so much that you can't do
them both, because this is going to take a little
while to get it in place. So yes, you can't
do it as a side hustle, but you're going to
be burning a lot of you know, late night oil.
Speaker 6 (31:55):
If you do it that way.
Speaker 2 (31:56):
Michelle Anthony is here with me and Stacy Tizzel on
this Wealth Wednesday and we're answering all of your questions
about government contracts.
Speaker 17 (32:03):
A question we got many times was what are the
first steps I should take to start government contracting.
Speaker 5 (32:09):
I think the first step is really really knowing what
you think you want to do, and that may change.
I may want to sell something, but that may not
be what the customer is buying. So you have to
be flexible and have the agility to pivot.
Speaker 2 (32:24):
All right, Now, Another great question that we had a
few different people asked about this some of the common
challenges the new contract is faced when bidding for government contracts.
You said, you have to have patients, and clearly you
don't just get a government contract, you also have to
bid for it. So what are some of those challenges
that people face.
Speaker 5 (32:42):
We can't just be it for contracts. We got to
roll that back. So we need to make sure first off,
that you're prepared, that your entity is prepared, and that
you've gone through the proper steps with establishing the company,
establishing your text ID number, whether you plan have employees
or whether you plan to be just a sole practitioner
(33:04):
or an independent contractor. It's very important because when you
begin to establish your organization, that's going to determine how
you're taxed. Because the whole key to it is being
able to perform very well in whatever you say you're
providing to them. Performance it's going to make or break you.
Speaker 2 (33:22):
Michelle Anthony is here with me and Stacy Tisdale for
Wealth Wednesday, and we have more with her when we
come back. We'll be answering more of your questions regarding
government contracts.
Speaker 3 (33:31):
It's way up with Angela Yee.
Speaker 1 (33:32):
Had a dream of politically wealthy, and I don't mind
sharing my.
Speaker 9 (33:35):
Wealth dogs getting you straight financially, mentally and physically.
Speaker 10 (33:39):
This is Wealth Wednesday on Way up with Angela Ye.
Speaker 3 (33:42):
What's up? Its way up with Angela Ye.
Speaker 2 (33:44):
I'm here, Stacy tisdill is here and we are talking
to Michelle Anthony closing out Black Business Month, answering your
questions about government contracts. Stacy, you have another question from
one of our listeners.
Speaker 17 (33:55):
What kind of products and services does the government need.
Speaker 5 (33:59):
They buy professional services like accountants. They have legal services.
Sometimes they don't have enough attorneys in house. They even
buy companies who do contracting services additional things that they purchase.
You think about military service members, people who know how
to make uniforms and can do them in Brooks, they
(34:21):
give them contracts in the arm inages, they call it
the mets hall, the child hall. That's where you're going
you eat, and sometimes they have to hire outside caterers
or outside companies to come in and run that entire
program to make sure all the soldiers or sailors or
whomever that they're said, those are contracts that they do
as well. They do real estate.
Speaker 3 (34:42):
Anything you can think of, yeah, right, and then you
can think.
Speaker 5 (34:46):
Of other than things that are just personal for you.
Speaker 8 (34:49):
Right.
Speaker 2 (34:50):
Michelle Anthony is here with me and Stacey Tizzel on
this Wealth Wednesday and we're answering all of your questions
about government contracts.
Speaker 3 (34:57):
All right, and then we had one last question.
Speaker 2 (34:59):
How can I build relationships and network within the government
contracting industry.
Speaker 5 (35:04):
That is something that you can do by attending their
conferences and events that are live and you can go
to these events. You can look at like the SBA
dot gov to see if they're hosting any events. And
one of the best things that I can tell you
to do is there's an organization in the government that
(35:25):
it used to be called a p Tech PTAC for
Procurement Technical Assistance Centers. They changed the name the APEX Accelerator,
but that organization provides free services to people who want
to become government contractors. It's AP as in Paul t
(35:47):
Is and tom a as an Apple c isn't Charlie
typing the dash US dot org. What's great about them
is they don't help you set up your SAM account
and make is done properly. They'll make sure to tell
you what you need to do to get all of
the codes and things that need to be affiliated with
your corporation or your company. The p Tech office has
(36:11):
free services that you can be assigned to a counselor
or an assistant and they will walk you through all
of the beginning stages. They'll also put you in a
database that they have wherein when new opportunities come up
based upon the next code. If you remember last time
I spoke with you guys about the next code in AIBS.
(36:34):
If you look up. The next code that tells you
everything the government boys, and the next code is what
you're going to say. You're going to choose for the
line of business you want to do.
Speaker 17 (36:45):
And everybody, please please please stop what you're doing right
now and follow Michelle Vegan's Anthony on Instagram. That's FBA
G I N S Michelle Vegan's Anthony and her website
is Michelle Santhony dot com. Right, thank you, Michelle, Happy
Flock Business Month.
Speaker 3 (37:03):
Thank you so much. We really appreciate it.
Speaker 5 (37:05):
Welcome you guys. Have a great rest of the day story.
Speaker 2 (37:10):
All right, Well, thank you guys so much for joining
us for this wealth Wednesday. Thank you Michelle Anthony. Of course,
thank you Stacy Tisdale. We got that every single Wednesday.
And when we come back, you guys have the last word.
Speaker 9 (37:20):
Take up the phone, Tapian to get your voice heard.
Speaker 1 (37:24):
What the word is?
Speaker 10 (37:26):
He's the last word. On Way Up with Angela Yee?
Speaker 2 (37:29):
What's up as way up at Angela Yee? I'm Angela Yee.
Jasmine brand is here. Yes, I told you that I
had a tire blowout situation. I still don't have my car,
so we've been taking the train.
Speaker 3 (37:39):
Everywhere but you like it.
Speaker 4 (37:40):
I love taking the train.
Speaker 7 (37:42):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (37:42):
See, and I'm getting Jasmine like prepping, like, Okay, you
have to go to Eighth Avenue, Yep, take the Sea chain.
Make sure you go downtown Brooklyn when you get on
the train.
Speaker 14 (37:50):
Yes, I've been putting everything you say in my notes
so that when I'm by myself.
Speaker 4 (37:53):
Yeah, how to get to your plan.
Speaker 2 (37:54):
Only thing you need to learn how to do is pay,
which is the most important part.
Speaker 3 (37:58):
I had to pay for you. We were gonna miss
the train today. I guess you don't know how to
use your Apple pay.
Speaker 14 (38:02):
Yeah, I get stuck everything and it's looking like like Jazmine, I.
Speaker 3 (38:05):
Would say, girl, if you don't do that Apple pay.
Speaker 2 (38:07):
But we're gonna on a day when we're not rushing
to the train, I'll show you how to use that.
Speaker 17 (38:11):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (38:11):
But if y'all ever come to New York, if you're
not from here, definitely way easier and cheaper to take
the subway. Yes, all right, Well, thank you again to
Michelle Anthony. We're talking about saving money because it is
a Wealth Wednesday, but also making money, all right, And
you can watch that full interview on my YouTube channel
if you want to learn how to get your own
government contract.
Speaker 3 (38:30):
