It's your birthday. You know what them.

Speaker 3 (00:35):
But we do have some breaking news right as the
show is kicking off. So literally two blocks away from here,
the CEO of United Healthcare was just shot and killed,
Brian Thompson. He was shot in his chest this morning
outside of the Hilton Hotel in Midtow, Manhattan. They actually
had a company event, an investor event, that was just

(00:58):
kicking off, and so they can't so that event, and
right now they're trying to find out what happened.

Speaker 2 (01:03):
What they are saying.

Speaker 3 (01:05):
According to the NYPD Deputy Commissioner's Office, a man was
shot there and brought to the hospital less than a
mile away in critical condition, was later pronounced dead. Investigators
also told CNN the gunman was waiting in the area
for some time before his arrival, so right now there's
no arrest at this time.

Speaker 1 (01:22):
That's why he opened fire from twenty feet away.

Speaker 3 (01:25):
They said he was just waiting this literally is right outside,
so there's all this commotion outside. We know they said
somebody got shot. We didn't know it was the CEO
of United Healthcare, one of the largest health providers in THEAH. Yeah,
we don't know why yet though, so we're going to
keep following this story throughout the morning.

Speaker 1 (01:42):
He's only fifty.

Speaker 3 (01:43):
Today is also a Wealth Wednesday, So Nicole Harmon is
going to be joining us. Okay, yeah, she is the
master Connector. She just launched her own business, something I've
been telling her that she needed to do, and a
lot of people have been telling her she needs to do.
So we'll talk to her about that, because your connections
can actually be monitored absolutely all right, But.

Speaker 2 (02:01):
Let's start the show up with some love and some positivity.

Speaker 3 (02:03):
I know that was heavy this morning already, but this
is literally happening in real time right here. But let's
shine a light eight hundred and two nine two fifty
one fifty.

Speaker 2 (02:12):
Call us up. Let us know who you would like
to shine a light on its way up.

Speaker 4 (02:18):
Turn your lights on, y'all, spreading love to those who
are doing greatness.

Speaker 5 (02:22):
Shine light, shine the light on.

Speaker 3 (02:25):
It's time to shine a light on it's way up
at Angela. Yee, I'm here, A Keen Woods is here. Hey,
Jasmine brand is here.

Speaker 1 (02:34):
I'm not just any brand, I'm my own brain.

Speaker 2 (02:36):
Both of you here. That means we're going to be
eating a lot this morning.

Speaker 1 (02:38):
I'm excited already started.

Speaker 3 (02:40):
I know this baygels downstairs. But let's shine a light today.
Let's shine a light on Jaden Smith. Now he already
has his Just Water company. We actually saw that up
my coffee shop. Coffee uplifts people. And he has that
company water Box that provides access to clean water to
underserve communities. They put in a water filtration system and
Michigan just two years ago.

Speaker 1 (03:02):
But right now he has launched another initiative.

Speaker 3 (03:05):
He is opening a vegan restaurant to feed the homeless
community in Los Angeles. All right, so it's named after
his I Love You Food Truck initiative, which he launched
two years ago on his twenty first birthday. He's now
fulfilling his goal of providing free vegan mills to the
less fortunate and skid Rowkay. So his restaurant is inclusive
to all, but there's a price that patrons will have

(03:26):
to pay if you're not unhoused. Now only do you
have to pay, but you have to pay for more
than the food's worth so that you can pay for
the person behind you.

Speaker 1 (03:33):
I love that. I think that's amazing. And also there
are a lot of vegans in LA.

Speaker 2 (03:38):
And also why not do something healthy?

Speaker 3 (03:40):
I think just because somebody is unhoused doesn't mean that
they have to get eat terrible titlings.

Speaker 2 (03:46):
Okay, out of all the things spam, that's.

Speaker 5 (03:49):
Really sweet because I've been to skid row and it is.

Speaker 1 (03:52):
Yes, it's tough. Yeah, it's tough.

Speaker 5 (03:54):
All right.

Speaker 3 (03:55):
Well, who do you guys want to shine a light
on and spread some positivity to? Eight hundred two nine
fifty fifty jess, who you want to shine a light on?

Speaker 6 (04:02):
Yeah?

Speaker 7 (04:02):
No, I'm shining a light on my good Dasian heart.

Speaker 3 (04:04):
I have to.

Speaker 7 (04:05):
It's a little mad at me right now for what's
out perfectly all.

Speaker 2 (04:08):
Right, DH, your heart? Now, what did you do?

Speaker 7 (04:10):
What did I do? I'm just trying to get it right.
But we're doing better.

Speaker 2 (04:16):
Are you really trying to get it right?

Speaker 7 (04:19):
Holidays comes around? You know that's surposible and that seen.

Speaker 3 (04:22):
Okay, all right, I'm not bad at that, but you
are the best surprises that change behavior exactly. All right, right, baby,
all right, thank you for calling, thank you? All right,
Well that would shine a light eight hundred and two
nine two fifty one fifty.

Speaker 2 (04:39):
If you couldn't get thrilled, you can shine a light.

Speaker 3 (04:42):
A last word, and when we come back, we have
your yee t and Nick Cannon versus Orlando Brown. Orlando's
been saying some things about Nick Cannon and about oral sex,
and now Nick Cannon is responding.

Speaker 2 (04:55):
We'll tell you what he said. It's way up.

Speaker 8 (04:57):
They saying the wools industry.

Speaker 4 (05:00):

Wins is here. What's up, comedian? And the Jasmine.

Speaker 9 (05:11):
Brand is not just on my own brand?

Speaker 3 (05:14):
All right, let's get into some ut. Nick Cannon is
addressing Orlando Brown. Now, Orlando Brown has claimed that Nick
Cannons performed oral sex on him. Okay, and he said
it in a way that was just very aggressive. It
was aggressive. Yeah, it was aggressive. Here's what Orlando Brown

(05:34):
had to say during a live stream.

Speaker 5 (05:36):
Nick Cannon, he really do suck and he sucked the
difference on me.

Speaker 7 (05:41):
You sucked.

Speaker 6 (05:44):
And don't you an hours forget That's why I'm like,
that's glass and you're lying.

Speaker 10 (05:50):
So is he coming out as gay? Because I'm just
saying yeah, because if a man goes down on you,
that's gay.

Speaker 5 (05:57):
Yes, I'm gay. I speak for all gays.

Speaker 1 (06:00):
If if it's in jail, there you gay gay for stay,
I guess. But he came to jail, all right.

Speaker 3 (06:07):
Well, Nick Cannon is addressing this. He posted, man, I
love this brother, Orlando, sincerely. I believe this young man
is brilliant and beyond talented. It hurts me to see
him crash out like this and truly disappointed and all
these media outlets who continue to exploit him. Here is
what else Nick Cannon had to say.

Speaker 5 (06:22):
I did not Orlando brown.

Speaker 1 (06:27):
Him, whether he talked about me or you talking about anybody.

Speaker 5 (06:29):
But I don't take him serious.

Speaker 7 (06:31):
I think he's in a mental space where he knows
he's trolling. He don't give up.

Speaker 1 (06:36):
Nick. Really don't bother nobody either.

Speaker 11 (06:38):
Nick just has he just has babies, and he don't
really you don't bother nobody.

Speaker 3 (06:41):
Yeah, he don't bother the general public. He's not talking
crazy about people. Yeah, he leave people alone. Also, what
would he gain from doing it? Listen said he did
a good good job, did a good job?

Speaker 1 (06:51):
Yeah I could.

Speaker 10 (06:53):

Speaker 3 (07:08):
Yeah, I also do believe in saying, Okay, it had
a great run. Yes, the storyline is good, and I
guess after high school, let's not drag it out right
and so be interesting to see how they end the show.

Speaker 2 (07:20):
But congratulations to them. That was a good run.

Speaker 3 (07:22):
I remember when that show was first announced and people
were like, oh, we fresh parents, Oh how they gonna
do that? And it's completely different, but it was good
the way that they did it.

Speaker 1 (07:31):

just because sometimes they drag on.

Speaker 5 (07:47):
It's like, girl, what is this season nine?

Speaker 3 (07:49):
And we'd be so sad. I was sad when Insecure ended.
I was too, But I don't miss it anymore. Right,
I was to come in, but that was sad. It
was yeah, all right, I Snoop Dogg. He was recently
on the Jennifer Hudson Show with his daughter Corey Brotus
and they were discussing her wedding plans, and he talked
about a gift that he got for her.

Speaker 2 (08:08):
Here's what he said.

Speaker 5 (08:09):
The only thing about this gift she never got to
open it, or she hadn't opened it yet.

Speaker 9 (08:14):
It was a million dollars for her wedding.

Speaker 12 (08:17):
But Jane I told her, if it was me, my
wedding would have been four hundred and nine hundred.

Speaker 6 (08:22):
Would have win in month.

Speaker 3 (08:23):
Fodka facts, the great idea. I would have bought a
house and the wedding would have been in the front.

Speaker 5 (08:29):
In the back.

Speaker 2 (08:32):
But you know, she did have some issues.

Speaker 3 (08:34):
She had a severe stroke that postponed her plans to
get married. Yeah, and then she documented her road to
recovery on social media. But they're giving fans and behind
the scenes look at her health scare and her wedding planning.
They have an E News docu series called Stoop's Fatherhood,
Corey and Wayne's Story. Okay, all right, well that is
your yet. When we come back, we have about last night.
That's where we discussed what we did last night. I

So Horrible Decisions that they did announce it, so I
can tell you it's not like a secret anymore.

They moved on to Patreon.

Speaker 10 (09:44):
So now that episode on I think on Wednesday is
going to be on Patreon.

Speaker 2 (09:48):
So it's not ending.

Speaker 5 (09:49):
So it's not ending, but just doing it behind the
paywal now.

Speaker 10 (09:52):
But then they started a new podcast that's going to
be on.

Speaker 5 (09:57):
The same network, and.

Speaker 10 (09:59):
It's Decisions Decisions, and it's just it's more about like
the history of sex, and they're still going to have
some sexual stuff too, but it's more like education that's
educational about like the history of sex and women in
sex and everything like that.

Speaker 5 (10:13):
So it's more educational.

Speaker 10 (10:14):
They still have it's similar to the other podcasts, but
not as nitty.

Speaker 2 (10:18):
Goody safer.

Speaker 10 (10:19):
Yeah, but that's still gonna be on Wendy Market exactly.

Speaker 1 (10:22):
And then the paywall is down and dirty and griddy
and yeah nast Yeah, that's so they can see the
holes over there. That's right.

lip service coming up soon. So I wanted to go
to this event, they have their year and Swipe and
that's basically it shows you what dating trends were like
for all of twenty twenty four.

Speaker 2 (11:00):
Every year they do this year in Swipe.

Speaker 3 (11:01):
Okay, it kind of teaches you different things, like what
lingo was important. I think last year's situationships were really big,
but this year they're not as popular.

Speaker 2 (11:12):
We'll talk about it in Under the Radar.

Speaker 3 (11:13):
I'm gonna tell you guys, actually what was in this
year in Swipe report when it comes to dating trends
and what people are doing.

Speaker 2 (11:20):
I learned some lingo I never heard of before.

Speaker 3 (12:08):
But before the tender event, I went with my girl Sarah,
who's my broker. But we went beforehand and then we
went to the event together. But it's so good. They said,
diners are really coming back in style. Also, like really
went to be at diners all right, Well, when we
come back, tell us a secret. Yeah, I was telling
us some secrets yesterday. People was calling out names yesterday

(12:28):

Speaker 7 (14:41):
It was like last summer I managed to hack into
my boyfriend's security camera, his house security camera.

Speaker 5 (14:50):
Seven.

Speaker 1 (14:50):
Oh what did you see.

Speaker 7 (14:52):
At the beginning? It was bad? Like I saw different
women coming.

Speaker 2 (14:55):
Over and you stayed there.

Speaker 7 (14:59):
So yes, we there work things out.

Speaker 14 (15:01):
We are still together.

Speaker 5 (15:02):
Wait with her? How many different women?

Speaker 7 (15:06):
What?

Speaker 1 (15:06):
What's the craziest thing you saw?

Speaker 7 (15:08):
Someone performing fleatio on him?

Speaker 1 (15:10):
Oh my god, does he know that?

Speaker 5 (15:12):
You know that he was out here?

Speaker 7 (15:14):
Absolutely not. And I don't log in anymore. It's off
of my phone.

Speaker 2 (15:19):
How do you know he's not cheating anymore?

Speaker 1 (15:21):
She don't.

Speaker 7 (15:22):
Well, so I didn't stop looking immediately, but once ide
noticed like, okay, nothing going on at that.

Speaker 5 (15:29):
So did you You didn't call him out on the
two women?

Speaker 7 (15:32):
Of course I did, and he popped up.

Speaker 2 (15:35):
Oh that's good. Yeah, like you want to see what
he's doing right now?

Speaker 5 (15:41):
And then what? What did he say after when you
caught up, when you like popped up on.

Speaker 7 (15:45):
Her deer calling a hairlight?

Speaker 1 (15:48):
Yeah, I couldn't handle it. I would be distraught. I
can't even set myself up.

Speaker 3 (15:53):
Like, you think you're gonna stay with him? She yes,
I mean she's with him now. But I'm saying, you
think this is a long term because it's something you
can't forget.

Speaker 7 (16:00):
Yeah, no, I think we've hashed out all right.

Speaker 2 (16:03):
Well, thank you for sharing with us.

Speaker 3 (16:05):
That's wowd hacking into the camera her working at a

Speaker 2 (16:11):
You pop up like hello, what are you doing?

Speaker 6 (16:13):

You know she's still looking on that camera every now
and then she's about to look right now, like, let
me just check, all right, Well that was tell us
a secret eight hundred two nine fifty one fifty. If
you couldn't get through, you could still leave a message
and we'll get your secret that way.

Speaker 1 (16:26):
And when we come back, let's talk about Cardi B.

Speaker 3 (16:31):
She's been doing a lot of posting lately, and yeah,
let's dig into the why of it all.

Speaker 2 (16:36):
All right, shout out to our girl. Cardi B is
way up.

Speaker 4 (16:39):
Sure, she's about to blow the lid ab off this spot.

Speaker 5 (16:41):
Let's get it.

Speaker 4 (16:42):
Angela's feeling that yet, Come and get your tea.

Speaker 3 (16:46):
All right, it's way up at Intel the yee I'm here,
A keen wiz is here, what's up?

Speaker 10 (16:50):
Booth?

Speaker 1 (16:50):
What's up?

Speaker 2 (16:51):
Jasmine brand is here?

Speaker 1 (16:52):
I'm not just I'm my own brand.

Speaker 2 (16:54):
I know that's right.

Speaker 3 (16:56):
And another brand that we should be talking about today
is Carti B. People have been waiting for this new
music and I know that she's irritated that, but you
know what, at least the fans are caring, right, and
people are saying different things about her, like she's prioritizing.

Speaker 2 (17:12):
Partying over other things.

Speaker 3 (17:15):
I saw people having that conversation on social media.

Speaker 1 (17:19):
And you know, Carti does respond to everything, Yes she does.

Speaker 3 (17:23):
She's quick to slide in the DM and on the DMS.

Speaker 1 (17:27):
She's damned yes, she will respond, all right now.

Speaker 3 (17:31):
She also wanted people to know because I saw her
posting receipts about the money that she makes, because people
were saying that she was neglecting her kids. And I
do want to say, they never say that about men,
ever about fathers, and ever say oh he's a dad,
why is he outside?

Speaker 2 (17:45):
They do do that to mom all the time.

Speaker 3 (17:47):
All right, But she said that she is a real
provider and not a fake Instagram model mom. She says
that she has been able to tend to her responsibilities
as a parent even though she's also still coping with
you know, breaking up with her husband. Yeah, she said,
how do you expect women to heal over a heartbreak?
That's why we say our mothers cry so much. She said,
yesterday was my last day going out to party. We've

(18:08):
been partying hard, honey, having a time of ball. But
let's have this little talk. She said she is not
always outside, and she also played some snippets of songs
that she did, but they're not coming out because she
don't like them.

Speaker 2 (18:23):
Here's what she said, Atlanta, I hate this song.

Speaker 1 (18:37):
Who do you like? To let her be? Okay? All right?

Speaker 2 (18:39):
And she said, I hate this song. You heard that clearly, right,
don't it.

Speaker 3 (18:42):
So then people were online dragging her over this old
song snippet, and here's what she said about that.

Speaker 9 (18:47):
I put on the channel.

Speaker 2 (18:48):
This is the old song. This is right yesterday, I said,
I hate this song.

Speaker 9 (18:51):
And here come, y'all.

Speaker 2 (18:52):
I hate that you might not even see me for
the rest of the year.

Speaker 9 (18:56):
I'm sure over everybody need.

Speaker 2 (18:58):
I need time for myself.

Speaker 3 (19:00):
I can't believe stuff like this still bothers CARTI I
always say I wouldn't play a song I hated, though,
Like listen, y'all.

Speaker 1 (19:08):
This is terrible. They're like, yeah, this girl.

Speaker 3 (19:12):
And now people are also trying to say that she's broke,
and she responded to those.

Speaker 1 (19:17):
Sings what would make I don't know.

Speaker 3 (19:19):
I'm gonna tell you what it was right because she
first she posted her touring deals because she's got like
sixty five million dollars in tour offers, and she let
us know.

Speaker 2 (19:28):
Here's what she said.

Speaker 15 (19:29):
Wait, when people say that I'm surviving on sheine deals
and brand deals. I want to let y'all know that
I could wake up tomorrow and sign a contract and
I will have half a sixty five millionaire or half
a seventy million my back and my this is my
off year. I don't want to take tour deals until
I announced my album, because when I announced my album,
I know they're gonna up it.

Speaker 1 (19:50):
All right, Well, listen, and she sold the receipts. She
did end it again. I can't believe Cardi cares and we.

Speaker 3 (19:56):
Here's my thing. She put out an album. By the way,
hasn't put out a second album yet. It's incredible the
run that she's had, and we can't We still care
from that for and the fans still want the second.

Speaker 1 (20:08):
We still beg her for music. She's definitely relevant, for.

Speaker 5 (20:11):
Sure, She's of course she's relevant.

Speaker 3 (20:13):
She's rich rich, and I'm not not exactly people was
looking at the numbers like one point five million for
a show.

Speaker 1 (20:20):
Okay, I don't even I can't even fathom that.

Speaker 2 (20:24):
Yeah, I mean, some people ain't gonna make that in
their life.

Speaker 5 (20:26):
Listen, car if you need a man, I'm gay, but.

Speaker 3 (20:28):
Listen, it could be a good hype man. Maybe somebody
just to like have fun with.

Speaker 5 (20:35):
Yeah, I watched the kids. You I got nothing going.

Speaker 3 (20:37):
On anyway, that was your gut. When we come back,
we have under the radar. We're gonna discuss some stories
that are flying under the radar. Now, I told you
I went to this tender event yesterday Year and Swipe. Well,
I'm gonna give you some of those details about the
Year and Swipe and some of the some of the
things that they discussed that we're big for twenty twenty

(20:57):
four when it comes to dating.

Speaker 2 (20:59):
It's way up news.

Speaker 4 (21:01):
This in the news that relates to you. These stories
are flying under the radar.

Speaker 3 (21:06):
Under the radar's well up with Angela. Ye, I'm here,
Aqim Wodge is here, a boom Jasmine brand is here.

Speaker 1 (21:11):
Yeah, I'm not just any brand. I'm my own brand.

Speaker 3 (21:14):
So I was telling y'all earlier I went to this
Tender Year in Swipe event last night, and it was
really interesting to hear about the dating trends of twenty
twenty four and what's ahead for twenty twenty five. Okay,
so they said situationships are on their way out. Single
people are getting more intentional. They are loud looking now
what is loud looking? Tell us please, I'm loud looking.

Speaker 5 (21:36):
Look at us someone aggressively.

Speaker 2 (21:37):
No, that's scary, Okay.

Speaker 3 (21:39):
Talking loud looking is when you're not vague about what
you want. You get very vocal and specific about your
needs and desires unapologetically.

Speaker 2 (21:49):
So if you're like, I'm looking for, what are you
looking for?

Speaker 5 (21:51):
Aqim ooh okay, man for being specific.

Speaker 1 (21:55):
I love Australian men.

Speaker 10 (21:57):
Australian man, yeah yeah, tall, handsome, okay, uh, wealthy, successful.

Speaker 2 (22:04):
This sounds very superficial.

Speaker 7 (22:07):
Very.

Speaker 1 (22:09):
Given, shallow. I want to let into their personality.

Speaker 5 (22:12):
Funny, none of that. Car, I don't care what race is.

Speaker 1 (22:17):
You just say Australian, I know, but you could be
any other race.

Speaker 3 (22:21):
Yeah.

Speaker 10 (22:22):
Yeah, although, yeah, that's about it.

Speaker 1 (22:25):
That's enough.

Speaker 3 (22:26):
That's enough, Jasmine, what you're a loud looking I think
I'm I'm cool.

Speaker 2 (22:31):
You don't have anything you want?

Speaker 1 (22:33):
Well, I'm I don't think I'm good.

Speaker 5 (22:35):
You're not loud looking, baby.

Speaker 1 (22:36):
Yeah, I'm good. I say.

Speaker 3 (22:38):
Some people say I want a gamer girlfriend, I want
a man and find Yeah, a gamer would.

Speaker 5 (22:42):
Be nice too, Yeah, and a finance dude.

Speaker 3 (22:44):
Nano ships is another phrase that was really popular in
twenty twenty four, no romantic connection felt too small to matter.
So even the tiniest interactions, if it's serious, if it's
just for fun, little micro moments are leading to real possibilities.

Speaker 2 (22:58):
For instance that good morning tech or have.

Speaker 3 (23:00):
A great day like a little nano ship and yeah,
so those are just some of the things. Also, dating
is a team sport, so people are now streamlining their roster.
People are now choosing fewer, more meaningful connections to keep
their energy and excitement for dating alive. Yeah, so it's
a tighter, smaller starting five instead of like a whole team.

Speaker 5 (23:23):
How many people should you have in your roster?

Speaker 1 (23:25):
I think three is a good number.

Speaker 5 (23:27):
Okay, I need to more.

Speaker 1 (23:28):
I think one you listen, Angela.

Speaker 11 (23:30):
If you were single, what would you what will be
a good number for you for dating? Yeah, if you
were single, I think two is good.

Speaker 1 (23:37):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (23:37):
Two is a lot. Dating is a lot.

Speaker 1 (23:39):
It's a little exhausting, more than.

Speaker 2 (23:41):
What's a lot?

Speaker 1 (23:41):
Yeah, it's also hard to keep track of things.

Speaker 10 (23:44):
If anyone wants to be added to my roster, wood listen.

Speaker 11 (23:49):
The worst part about dating multiple people is you have
to repeat yourself money.

Speaker 3 (23:53):
Oh, and then sometimes you have to like pretend you
didn't see a show that.

Speaker 2 (23:56):
You already saw.

Speaker 1 (23:58):
You didn't go to this movie.

Speaker 3 (23:59):
Yeah, and then you could like pretend you're so smart
you could predict the end. She really saw it already.

Speaker 1 (24:05):
That's hilarious.

Speaker 7 (24:06):
Now.

Speaker 3 (24:06):
One thing that bothered me though about this list is
that Capricords were dead last for most attractive users star
signs in twenty twenty four. For men and for women
Caprichords but last. Yeah, that doesn't seem rational to me.

Speaker 1 (24:19):
Well, who was number one?

Speaker 5 (24:20):
I don't have a list.

Speaker 1 (24:21):
For men they like geminis and for women they like virgos.

Speaker 5 (24:24):
Yeah, okay, let me see what's vircos.

Speaker 11 (24:26):
My daughter's a virgo. I like virgos, Scorpios like labras.

Speaker 3 (24:30):
All right, well that is you can check out that
full list too with Tinder. But that it was just
a fun conversation, all right, Well that was your under
the radar.

Speaker 10 (24:38):
You know.

Speaker 1 (24:38):
We had the Way Up Mix at the top of
the hour and it is a.

Speaker 3 (24:40):
Wealth Wednesday, and we got my girl, Nicole Harmon joining us.

Speaker 2 (24:44):
She is the master connector.

Speaker 3 (24:46):
She's worked in finance forever and now she has her
own agency where she is connecting different people CEOs executives, tastemakers, personalities,
all of those things so that everybody can benefit from
each other. And she has these taste making events, these
connecting events that you guys are gonna love, right, all right,

(25:07):
all right, yeah, that's all happening today.

Speaker 2 (25:09):
Is way up.

Speaker 3 (25:11):
She's like a talk like they Angela Jean, like they
Angela Jean.

Speaker 4 (25:15):
She's spilling it all. This is yaki.

Speaker 3 (25:18):
Well all right, his way up at Angela yee, I'm here,
A Keen Woods is here, what's up, boo?

Speaker 2 (25:24):
And my girl, Jasmine Brand is here.

Speaker 1 (25:26):
I'm not just sendy brand. I'm my own brand.

Speaker 2 (25:29):
And let's get into some of this YEATI So.

Speaker 3 (25:32):
Javante Davis aka Tank has announced that he is going
to retire after twenty twenty five.

Speaker 1 (25:38):
He said that boxing is trash garbage.

Speaker 3 (25:40):
He was at a press conference getting ready for his
fight that's going to be happening March first at the
Barclays Center.

Speaker 1 (25:46):
In Brooklyn against Lamont Roach.

Speaker 3 (25:48):
So this could be his last fight, his last fight.
He said he's fed up with everything he did. Expand
on this afterwards too, and here's what he had to
say about his mental health, about being a day and
all of those things.

Speaker 12 (26:01):
That's why I don't want box no more. I want
to do therapy, right But I finished though. If I
do therapy and would lose the fire that I have
and shot me, I want everything out of me West,
So I don't never think about fighting again. I don't
think about even again angry, you know what I mean,
because I have two girls, two daughters, of wanting to
be much soft for things like that.

Speaker 1 (26:23):
For sure.

Speaker 5 (26:24):
How long has he been fighting?

Speaker 1 (26:27):
He's still pretty young right now.

Speaker 3 (26:30):
Yeah, but he's actually he's great as a boxer and
he's exciting to watch. And so people were talking about
who was his next fight going to be against?

Speaker 1 (26:38):
Are you going to go to this fight?

Speaker 3 (26:39):
And you know, I actually still fight at the Barclays
before a long time ago. So yes, so and his
family was sitting like right by where I was to.

Speaker 1 (26:48):
They were like, we gotta get take on your show.

Speaker 3 (26:51):
And we did after that, all right, shout out to
lou Now, by the way, she she has a new fragrance.
It's called Iconic, so get ready for that. She launches
with her business partner at our zo Anwar, and she's
finally released her first ever fragrance line is called lunel iconic.

Speaker 1 (27:11):
Okay.

Speaker 3 (27:11):
By the way, you know who else just put out
their first ever fragrance line, The Rolling Stones.

Speaker 1 (27:17):
Really yeah, I wonder what that would smell like. It's old, Okay,
all right, maybe mature.

Speaker 5 (27:24):
Okay, mature does sound nice. You're right, my bad.

Speaker 3 (27:26):
It's called r S number nine. They said it's a
scent that evokes London's Soho in nineteen sixty two, a
throbbing matrogos bustling with excitement as a new cultural error.

Speaker 1 (27:36):
Emerged Number nine too as well. That's in the name.

Speaker 2 (27:39):
Yes, it's called r S number nine.

Speaker 1 (27:41):
Okay, all right, chanel, okay.

Speaker 2 (27:43):
I don't know what this is all about, but we
like to war throbbing.

Speaker 1 (27:47):
I was just thinking that, but I wasn't gonna say that's.

Speaker 3 (27:49):
A great word, like when you here throbbing, it's like
a you know, it sounds enjoy sounds.

Speaker 5 (27:54):
Enjoyable, iconic. Though, I'm gonna have to get something.

Speaker 3 (27:58):
Speaking of throbbing, Little Scrappy welcome his fifth child with
s Takia Hardy, and he is responding to the backlash
for people who criticize him for having a baby.

Speaker 8 (28:08):
The people that be having negative stuff to say about me,
having a baby and I'm not with nobody, like I'm
a single man.

Speaker 5 (28:13):
Like that's pretty dull.

Speaker 8 (28:15):
Any baby that come in this world from Skrizna gonna
get taken care of. You feel me, I'm gonna love
on him just like it's supposed to be done. You
feel me sorry, your mama and daddy one there for you.
You feel me like I have be there for mine.

Speaker 5 (28:27):
Ooh okay.

Speaker 3 (28:30):
By the way, his ex wife Bamby has a buck
out called a New Baby for us. It's about explaining
a new sibling, the kids and how the family navigates
the big change.

Speaker 14 (28:37):

Speaker 1 (28:38):
That's why Babby make a coin off of this.

Speaker 3 (28:40):

his own tupperware. But you told me about something that

Speaker 5 (29:49):
It's launched.

Speaker 10 (29:50):
I have a slow If you guys don't know, I'm

full time for seven and historically December is my slowest
month of the every year never fails.

Speaker 5 (30:03):
December is slow, slow, slow.

Speaker 2 (30:04):
Why is that?

Speaker 5 (30:05):
I don't know. It's holiday seasons.

Speaker 10 (30:07):
A lot of the people that are open for a
tour with don't have a lot of shows in December,
and I don't have a lot of shows. I don't
know why, okay, but I think every comic has a
slow month, and for me, it just happens to be December.
So because of that, your girls still gotta pay all
the bills, right, because I might a kept woman. So
I decided to pivot and I'm gonna start doing because

Speaker 1 (32:19):

Spirit movies here?

all right, well, thank you.

Speaker 3 (33:11):
I came for that. And when we come back, we

is a number. We're here to give you guys some
good advice and it's gonna be free, all right, eight
hundred fifty one fifty.

Speaker 2 (33:31):
His way up with Angela? Yee?

Speaker 3 (33:32):
I'm here, Jasmine Brand is here, yes a Keen Woods
is here, and we got Jess on the line for
ask ye.

Speaker 2 (33:39):
What's up? Jess? I'm doing well too, Thank you for asking.
What is your question for? Ask ye?

Speaker 16 (33:46):
Does it make sense to be with someone who does
not have the capacity to love you.

Speaker 6 (33:50):
In a way that you receive love?

Speaker 2 (33:53):
Okay? We need more detail?

Speaker 5 (33:54):
How do you receive love? Baby?

Speaker 3 (33:55):
How many details I need for my partners to be
verbally expressive?

Speaker 5 (34:00):
I can't do the.

Speaker 16 (34:01):
Nonchalant, really back.

Speaker 10 (34:02):
But I'm suposed to figure out how you feel because
of your actions alone.

Speaker 1 (34:06):
How long you have been together, let's say eight months.

Speaker 3 (34:10):
Sometimes when we get with somebody, it is a learning
curve to let somebody understand what's important to you and
for you to understand what's important to them. Some people
may feel like I don't have to say it, especially guys,
because I do this, I do X, Y and Z,
and they feel like, well, I'm showing you, and I
feel like I'm doing the right things, but if you're
not telling me. And also, I think it's important for

(34:31):
us to appreciate when people do show us, because sometimes
we get so caught up and what we want that
we don't appreciate what we are getting and what the
efforts are that another person is making, and so is
he making some type of effort.

Speaker 16 (34:45):
Honestly, we're at the point where it's nothing happens anymore.

Speaker 1 (34:48):
I feel like I need to not being met. Have
you had a conversation with him?

Speaker 6 (34:51):
Absolutely?

Speaker 3 (34:52):
And so things were different before? Did they get worse?
Is that what happened?

Speaker 9 (34:56):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (34:57):
Oh, control all delete bar.

Speaker 2 (35:01):
But I said, why did that?

Speaker 13 (35:03):
Like?

Speaker 2 (35:03):
Is there a reason?

Speaker 7 (35:05):
He asked?

Speaker 16 (35:05):
For a relationship, and I was not ready at the time,
so I told him that we should be used as a
conversation at a later date, And I didn't know.

Speaker 9 (35:12):
That he felt some kind of way about that.

Speaker 2 (35:14):
Of course he did.

Speaker 16 (35:15):
What's wrong with getting to know somebody before?

Speaker 3 (35:17):
I understand that, But of course he felt the way
he wanted to be in a relationship. You told him
you didn't, So maybe he said, well, let me back
off because I don't want to put effort into somebody
that's not really trying to be with me. Or maybe
he felt like, I don't know if this is going anywhere,
so why should I put all this effort into somebody
who doesn't even know what they want?

Speaker 1 (35:35):
Sounds like he pulled back after she said that.

Speaker 2 (35:38):
Okay, do you want a relationship now?

Speaker 10 (35:41):
Man?

Speaker 16 (35:41):
At this point, I'm not getting anything. It's not fulfiling anymore,
and I can't.

Speaker 7 (35:45):
Go off of what happened in the beginning.

Speaker 16 (35:47):
So you all put our best look forward in the beginning.

Speaker 3 (35:49):
So at this point it's just like, okay, So it
feels like there's just a disconnect.

Speaker 16 (35:53):
Do you think it's fair that I initiate this conversation?
I asked him for a relationship at this point, we.

Speaker 3 (36:00):
Don't want one yet because you said it's not right
right now, because of everything, I think what's fair to
do is be honest. The truth is, you know you
weren't ready when he was ready, and you have to
take responsibility for that.

Speaker 16 (36:12):
Okay, I didn't think it as that, but I guess
feel you from my third party, I guess I have
to put myself in his shoes.

Speaker 3 (36:18):
Yeah, you would pull back to I'm not gonna be
treating you like my my man if you don't with me.

Speaker 2 (36:25):
Yeah, no, I'm not doing that.

Speaker 1 (36:27):
But I understand her point of view.

Speaker 7 (36:28):
Too, But that's not that's I don't want to be
with you that let's visit that's at a later date.

Speaker 9 (36:33):
Okay.

Speaker 5 (36:34):
Yeah, but to men, but.

Speaker 10 (36:35):
To men, and I say that as a man, a
gay man, but a man. Still, Uh, that means you
ain't you ain't you ain't pressing for us.

Speaker 5 (36:42):
And although you didn't say it that way, he heard
it that way.

Speaker 2 (36:46):
And how somebody interprets something like that.

Speaker 3 (36:48):
That's an ego too, you know, his egos involved, and
how he also wants to protect his feelings. Yeah, all right,
so it feels like, yes, why have been a firm,
doesn't reassurance in anything for not It's like, WHOA, you
need to enditiate that conversation because because just like you
told him, that's not what you want.

Speaker 2 (37:08):
Maybe now it's not what he wants.

Speaker 3 (37:10):
Who knows, but if you all aren't having a conversation
about it, and if you're not honest about.

Speaker 2 (37:15):
How you're feeling and what you meant.

Speaker 3 (37:16):
At that time, I dated a guy and from the
jump he told me he didn't want to be in
a relationship and I treated him a certain kind of
way because of that, and then when he did want one,
I was like, uh No, I wasn't even on that path.

Speaker 2 (37:28):
Understood, all right, Jess.

Speaker 1 (37:30):
It's your man back before the holiday and night.

Speaker 17 (37:36):
Problem right there?

Speaker 5 (37:38):
Yeah, right there?

Speaker 3 (37:41):
We see, all right, Well that was ask you eight
hundred two ninety two fifty one fifty. You can always
call us and leave a message. We'll answer your question
that way too, and when we come back it is
a wealth Wednesday. Nicole Harmon is going to be joining
us a conversation with the Master Connector. She has her
own agency now, but she has been working in finance
for over a decade and she has great connections. I

(38:05):
know because I have definitely benefited from some of her
connections in the past.

Speaker 2 (38:08):
So we'll talk about it. It's way up.

Speaker 10 (38:11):
I had a dream of Fife wealthy and I don't
mind sharing my wealth dog.

Speaker 4 (38:15):
Getting you straight financially, mentally and physically. This is Wealth
Wednesday on Way Up with Angela Yee.

Speaker 5 (38:21):
What's up?

Speaker 3 (38:21):
Its Way Up with Angela Yee and it's a special
Wealth Wednesday. I'm here with my pioneer, Stacy Tunsdale.

Speaker 9 (38:26):
Happy Wealth Wednesday, everybody.

Speaker 18 (38:28):
And today we have the Master Connector herself, Nicole Harmon
ponde Jour, founder and CEO of the Master Connector Agency.
She's a Wall Street executive and we are so excited.

Speaker 3 (38:39):
I want to start off with how you even conceive
this because when I first met Nicole, she was always
connecting people. Like we said, she's a Wall Street executive,
so she has a lot of corporate people that she
works with, but she also has a lot of talent
that she works with, a lot of creators, and so
for a lot of times you've been bringing people together
and I'm like, this is a whole agency.

Speaker 1 (39:00):
Yeah.

Speaker 19 (39:00):
So I've been on the Wall Street for twenty years
and through my whole career, I was always connecting people,
but I never knew what I should do with that
right and my whole life, people always said you need
to start a business, and God gave me a vision.
He said, you're going to curate a room and you're
going to bring together your network. So thirty days after
you gave me the vision, I was like, Okay, I'm
going to curate a room.

Speaker 17 (39:19):
It's called in the room where the deals are made.

Speaker 19 (39:20):
So I create a space where I bring together corporate executives,
industry leaders, CEOs, entrepreneurs, everybody that's doing their thing in
their field. And I feel like we each need each
other because when I would go to corporate events, I
wouldn't see my industry friends there, and when I would
industry events, I wouldn't see my corporate Wall streetriends there.
So I wanted to bring us all together because I
felt like business could be done in these rooms, and
we need each other.

Speaker 3 (39:39):
To get deals done, and it all complement each other
a lot of the different things that we do. It's like, okay, well,
Angela's looking for this investor for one of her businesses.
Let me see if I could connect it with this person,
or this person's trying to get a guest speaker to
do X, Y and Z, Well, let me see if
I can help them find the right person, because you
also know everybody's bios.

Speaker 19 (39:59):
Yeah, And also what I noticed is, like corporate executives,
we need industry leaders, influencers, people out in the community
to talk about how good our products are.

Speaker 17 (40:06):
Every corporation wants to be the corporation of choice. So
if you have.

Speaker 19 (40:09):
Somebody out there and you're doing a business and they're
coming to your events, they're like, oh, I went to
way Up, I had a beautiful experience and greeting me
with water. They took care of me, right, So we
all want people to degate.

Speaker 9 (40:18):
We don't get water. Don't people that out there.

Speaker 19 (40:21):
But I'm just saying, like you when you when you
have a good company and people are out talking about
your business, it helps you helps business succeed. It's all
about word of mouth as well as influencers and industry.
People need corporations because we can help with funding, we
can help a sponsorship, we can help with broaden your connections,
we can help with business acumens.

Speaker 17 (40:37):
So both entities need each other.

Speaker 3 (40:39):
It's wealth Wednesday I miss Stacy Tisdale and we are
talking to Nicole harmon the Master Connector.

Speaker 18 (40:44):
You have a service that people can actually subscribe to.

Speaker 19 (40:47):
Yes, so one I created in the room. So it's
an event that I hosts in person. But people wanted more.
They're like, well, how did I get in contact with you?
You've been on Wall Street twenty years. You have so
much business acumen, you know so many people. So I
created a membership. So the membership is ninety nine dollars
a month.

Speaker 9 (41:03):
Where do people go to get it?

Speaker 19 (41:04):
So ww dot Themasterconnector agency dot com. On my website
you can book a ticket to the person events and
then you can also book the membership. With the membership,
you meet with me monthly on Zoom and I have
experts in their field come on to talk to you
about every area of business. I have someone talking about trademark,
of someone talking about personal branding. Elevator pitch. Your elevator
pitch is so important when you meet people. I talk

(41:25):
to people about the keys of networking, the art of networking.
I have a huge network, but the membership. Every month
I have experts coming on talking about their field and
how they can help you increase your business.

Speaker 18 (41:34):
A lot of people when they hear things like this,
you're going to introduce them to partners, potential mentors, and
they go into these rooms and they think about, Okay,
what am I gonna get?

Speaker 9 (41:43):
What am I going to get?

Speaker 18 (41:44):
But youre' just like flip that script a little bit
and think about what you're gonna bring rain.

Speaker 19 (41:48):
Yes, that's one of the top keys to networking. I
tell people all the time. Lead with how you can
help because a lot of times, I want to say,
ninety percent of the time, if I meet Angela, I'm like,
oh my god, I want to be on your radio show.
Versus what are you working on? What are your goal
to twins? How can I add value? What is your plan?
And it's so important for our community to get into
these rooms. We don't have access to this route.

Speaker 3 (42:06):
These are and it's one thing to want to do something,
that's another thing to get out and do it. And
so all these people are there for the purpose of
trying to grow whatever it is that they want to do,
but also there's people in the room that want to
help you grow whatever it is that you're trying to do.
It's wealth Wednesday. I'm with Stacy Tisdale. Nicole Harmon is here.

Speaker 1 (42:22):
We have more with here.

Speaker 3 (42:23):
When we come back, we'll be talking more about the
importance of networking opportunities and intimate settings. Strategic network opportunities.
By the way, it's way up at Angela yee. It's
a Wealth Wednesday, a dream of the.

Speaker 4 (42:35):
Wealthy, and I don't mind sharing my wealth dogs getting
you straight financially, mentally and physically. This is Wealth Wednesday
on way up with Angela Ye.

Speaker 1 (42:44):
What's up?

Speaker 2 (42:44):
It's way up with Angela yee.

Speaker 9 (42:45):
I'm here.

Speaker 3 (42:46):
Stacy Tisdale is here because of course it's a Wealth
Wednesday and we are talking to Nicole Harmon, the Master Connector.
She founded her own agency based off of bridging the
gap by facilitating strategic networking opportunity and intimate settings.

Speaker 9 (43:01):
Take me through. So I subscribed.

Speaker 18 (43:03):
I don't know what I'm doing. What do I get
from my ninety nine dollars a month?

Speaker 17 (43:06):
Sure? Exactly.

Speaker 19 (43:07):
So our first class is on December ninth. Right now,
we're giving out free credit repair to the first five
members that sign up. So if you sign up in
your first five, you get the free credit repair, which
is a thousand dollars service so we're giving that away
for free as part of the membership and being on
the way up and then with the service.

Speaker 17 (43:23):
So the first meeting, we're gonna do goal setting for
twenty twenty six.

Speaker 19 (43:25):
So I'm gonna meet with all of my members and
write down what your goals are. And that helps me
understand who you are as my key member in my community,
what you're working on. And then I start to go
through my role indecks in my network to figure out
how to get you from point A to point B.
Each month, I have people coming on to talk about
different areas of business and how to be successful in
your business, whether like I said, that's marketing. I have
a good girlfriend that does marketing, and she said, when

(43:47):
people start their businesses, they don't think about a marketing budget.

Speaker 17 (43:49):
But if you don't have a marketing budget, how do
people know.

Speaker 9 (43:51):
What your business is exactly?

Speaker 19 (43:52):
And so like little things like that, so so many
gyms being dropped in, so many aha moments that you
would get from being in this community.

Speaker 17 (43:58):
It's access to information that we just don't know that
we don't know.

Speaker 9 (44:01):
I have bigger marketing for people too.

Speaker 17 (44:03):
I'm marketing for people.

Speaker 19 (44:04):
Yeah, And then You're part of a community, so we're
all in this together and it's like I have this
going on.

Speaker 17 (44:08):
We promote each other's businesses, which I think is important.

Speaker 19 (44:11):
But it's just having those experts come on every month
to talk about different areas of business.

Speaker 17 (44:15):
Trademarking.

Speaker 19 (44:16):
You had somebody up here talking about trademarking, talking about
personal branding. There's also what a lady coming on talking
about the five areas of business. Shout out to a girlfriend, Candae.
She's talking about the five area business that you need
to succeed. So every month you'll be on and then
you also get access free access to the in person events.

Speaker 2 (44:31):
It's Wealth Wednesday.

Speaker 3 (44:32):

I already know we're going to be a mess.

Speaker 1 (47:22):
Yeah, a good mess. And we're starting to eat out
tomorrow okay, and I don't remember what that is.

Speaker 3 (47:29):
That means that we're going to support a different black
owned restaurant. Yes, and so tomorrow is when we start that,
because it can just sound random to say we're starting
to eat out.

Speaker 10 (47:39):

funding for your business, maybe you just need some good connections.
All those things are important, right yep, it's called networking.

(48:24):
Sometimes we go out, we don't feel like it, but
those are the nice that I feel like. Great things
can happen, Great connections happen. You don't know if it's
going to pay off now or further down the line,
