(00:28):
I want all of you to get up out of
your chairs. Let go to the window. Open it, stick
your head out of here. Welcome to at the Window
on the sports Gride TV network Little TV channel five seventeen.

(00:48):
Stir Zumo, I am Song Guasa Makia. Joe Roneri will
join me in just a second, But first I want
to run down the big stories that we will be
talking about today. College basketball. It's all about Baylor Kansas
getting started here shortly number one against number three. Can
Baylor defeat Kansas for the second time this season. We'll

(01:09):
take a look at that. Get Joe's best bet before
they tip it off here shortly Tyson Fury, Diante Wilder too.
I can't wait for that later tonight. Finally, heavy weight
bout in boxing that we could handicap we could break down,
we can talk about and no one will go to
sleep because it's back. Boxing is back. The heavyweight division
is back. Tyson Wilder too, that's coming up a little

(01:32):
bit later on. Alright. We also have spring training. Yes,
baseball is back. Everyone get started today or tomorrow playing
in the Cactus League or the Gray Fruit League. That's
a fun time. Astro's cheating scandal, maybe we could finally
put that in the rear view mirror. We'll see about that.
And also x FL football four for four last week

(01:54):
with Joe Lisie. We're gonna keep it going today. Jolie
Lisi was on XFL today a little earlier. Today we'll
we'll talk about his picks. But we have Jordan Ay.
He's in South Florida. He is ready to go. It's
at the window. What's going on, Joe? How you do today?
H Sean? I'm excited, man, this is just we're talking

(02:14):
craziness here for a what February the twenty two, and
not only yeah, the fact that you're mentioning heavyweight boxing
is just it's like a throwback here. I feel like
it's night or something along those lines. College hoops, heavyweight
boxing and championship out that's actually could very well be
worth and there hasn't been one in a very very

(02:36):
long time worth the money to actually pay for pay
per view, because I doubt very much this one's going
to distance here tonight. I would I would much more
lean to these two guys coming out. Somebody's gonna land
something somewhere. I think it will be over rather quickly.
And I think the same thing can be said for
Baylor in Kansas. Talk about a heavyweight fight, This thing

(02:58):
is getting ready to tip off. Every he keeps waiting
for bailor for the wheels to fall off. Sean, I
don't know that they're gonna fall off. I certainly don't
know today in Waco, Texas, they're gonna fall off. So
it's gonna be very interesting the entire day. The card
is loaded in college joves, it's loaded in college chaps,
and I forgot to mention the Daytona five hundred is over.

(03:19):
Now we go to Las Vegas for NASCAR, and Seawan
Angle is gonna join us a little bit later on
as well and give us his best bets and maybe
a sleeper pick as well. So that's a little bit
later on. I have to mention NASCAR, PGH. What is
it the world the Golf Championships, Joe in Mexico City.
You'll have a best bet for us a little bit
later on. Yeah, so much going on. It's so many

(03:40):
sports to dive into. And that's what's great about the show, Joe,
because we can go everywhere. You know, we can go
to college basketball, then he go to boxing and and
and what you will? All right, Kansas Baylor before tips off? Um,
looking at the screen right now? They have yet to
do so, so what are you looking at in this game?
I mean, it's a big game for Kansas if they
want to win the Big Twelve, if they's to Baylor

(04:01):
for the second time, with the schedule that they have remaining,
that play West Virginia. Still, I think it's lights out
for Kansas. As far as winning the conference. They won
fourteenth straight before last year that was ended. All right,
what are you looking at? Baylor Kansas right now? Joe?
It's you know, it's John. It's it's funny they everyone
keeps talking about. And okay, I'll take two points. Kansas.

(04:22):
This ridiculous record in the history of Kansas. Well, listen again,
we've all been waiting for the wheels to fall off
for Baylor. In fact, may c Ote has missed a
few games with Baylor. They're leading scorer, they're leading everything
and uh and they haven't missed the step. They played
great defense, they play it at home. This is gonna
be a street fight, make no mistake about it. I

(04:44):
would also look to the under in this game. But
if push comes to shove and it comes down to
the final, you know, final couple of shots, I trust
Baylor to get it done. They've done nothing but proved
better is wrong all year. I doubt very much they're
gonna go away in their ow building here today. Keep
an eye m a c Ot for Baylor. Though he's
been hurt, he's got a risk injury. He won't be

(05:05):
a hundred percent, but it looks like he's going here.
For Baylor and Joe, what's really at stake though, besides
the Big twelve championship regular season, both of these teams
can easily be number one seats come March Madness. No, yeah, well,
I mean, let's face it, this is gonna go a
long way to solidifying that. For for Baylor, of course,
she's gonna still have the big twelve Championship coming. But listen,

(05:29):
at this point, this is a great litmus test. Doesn't
get any better than this. You want to see if
you have what it takes not only to win the
Big twelve Championship, but to to advance in March. You
gotta win games like this because you're gonna be running
into a few more of these type Kansas type games
if you are bailor, you've gotta get the job done
here today at home. Another game that's about to tip

(05:53):
off just under way, Tennessee at Auburn number thirteen. Auburn, Uh,
Bruce Farrel doing a great job there since he's took
over um better than I think I expected. He had
high recruits come in there. Initially they didn't do too well,
did it go as far as people thought. But the
last couple of years Auburn that they've been excellent and

(06:14):
this year no slaps number thirteen in the nation. As
I said, can Tennessee give them a challenge today? Right now? Listen,
Isaac Ocaro is the guy that you got to keep
an eye on here for Auburn. UM he's been limited,
he was limited. He practiced UM, I believe yesterday or Thursday,
he was able to practice a little bit. Uh. He

(06:35):
is a big part, that freshman of what they're doing.
He's going to be a potential lottery pick if he
is going. He's averaging about thirteen points a game for
this team. He really is the engine that keeps Auburn going.
They've had to deal without him. If he's on the
court here today, keep an eye on his health. A
lot of those types of situations today with big guys,

(06:55):
big important players, for a lot of big name programs
in big games today, less than a percent. It's worth
keeping an eye on in a lot of these games today.
Albert six and a half point favorites, one thirty five
and a half the total on Fannel sports book. All right, Joe, Virginia,
what should we expect from Virginia today? They're playing at

(07:17):
pit five and a half point favorites right now, they're
up seven to two early on. We know what Virginia is, right.
They don't score very well and they don't give up
a lot of points. In fact, they don't give up
any points. Best one of the best defense, either the
best or second best in the nation. So what do
you expect? Can Virginia cover this five and a half
point spread today on the road. Well that's the you know,

(07:39):
that's the interesting thing with Virginia. Virginia at home we
know stifling. However, they are on this ridiculous run of
overs now for the last I don't know about three
three and a half weeks. All they do is hit overs,
and I think a lot of that has to do with,
obviously the market not adjusting according lead. They are good defensively,

(08:01):
they're better defensively at home then they are on the road.
So the road has given them some problems. But the
thing with Virginia it always was this year it always
will continue to be are they gonna have enough offense?
Can they count on guys to get big shots and
big baskets and big moments. They were a young team.
They lost so much firepower last year. Uh, this is

(08:23):
a great test and a must win for Virginia. They
don't have too many more of these opportunities. They need
to show that they can win. They can win on
the road. So when it comes selection Sunday time, that
committee has got they got something to look at. Because
Virginia is about as big a bubble team as there
is right now, they need this win on the road
against Pittsburgh. All right, Joe, That's that's the college basketball

(08:47):
landscape for right now in game and it's five four,
so Kansas right now truly by one point to better,
just under seventeen minutes left in the first half, just underway.
And we'll keep an eye on that game throughout the show. Show,
But I want to talk about the NBA and last
night recap real quickly. The Pelicans big win and and
that total went over barely was two thirty nine, It

(09:09):
was seventeen as the Pelicans defeated the Portland Trailblazers. Big
win for Zion Wimson and the boys. They want that
eight seed. And with Memphis losing their second straight since
the All Star Break to the Lakers last night, they're
closing the gap there. I mean, there's a few teams
ahead of them. But when you look at the Pelicans

(09:29):
and you look at their strength of schedule left, it's
the easiest in the NBA, Joe. You look at memphisis
a strength of schedule, it's the toughest in the NBA.
Twenty six games left. Can the Pelicans close the gap
and get that eight seed in the Western Conference? Show listen,
why not, I mean, don't forget Zion mess a significant

(09:50):
portion two thirds of the season. You can see him
starting to get his legs underneath them a little bit. Uh,
we've already if you haven't noticed, guys, he's a match
up nightmare for teams, he really really is. Teams are
right now are struggling to figure out what do I
put on Do I put on a you know, do
I put a big man on him? Do I put
one on the fore Like I don't know how to

(10:10):
guard I know this. You can't put your you know,
your point guard on on Zion. So teams can quite
figured out how to isolate him just yet and make
him do things he doesn't want to do. He's a
force of nature, and as he goes, as brandon Ingram goes,
why not the New Orleans Pelicans getting the job done,

(10:32):
maybe even at eight, maybe even a seventh seed. Like
you said, that schedule is real easy. I don't know
too many people that are going to be excited to
go to New Orleans to play the Pelicans in a
possible series. It's gonna be really a lot of fun.
The NBA, I mean, doesn't need the Pelicans in the playoffs.

(10:52):
We know that, but it would be a lot of
fun to see Lebron James if they're the number one
seed against Zion Williams in the eight seed, that would
be a lot of fun show. And I give them
a chance. You're right, Zion Willimson, he's getting you know,
he's playing more and more. He only played twenty nine minutes,
but that was due to a lot of factors other
than yeah, he could go. His conditioning is there points
as you mentioned. And Lonzo Paul, I mean, I gotta

(11:15):
give him credit. I've been killing him for years now.
The kid can shoot a little bit now. I mean
he's playing good. So I like their chances in the
Western Conference. But Portland's yeah, out of there big and
he went there. Now he's got a superstar that does
everything and he doesn't do well. It's perfect for a
Lonzo perfect back right after this, Joe hold that thought,

(11:39):
we're back after this. I want to light the lamp
on Draft Kings and fan duel this NHL DFS season.

(12:27):
the Sports Grade TV Network. I am Sewn Gwasslemkia Joe Rohnery.
With me and Joe, you were talking about the l
A Lakers trading Lonzo Ball, brandon Ingram and Jason Hart
to the New Orleans Pelicans for Anthony Davis and how
Alonzo and those guys brandon Ingram all star for the
first time or better off in New Orleans. I couldn't

(12:48):
agree more. You're a hundred percent right, But I wanted
to underscore a point I was making before about the
eighth seed in the Western Conference and how Memphis has
the toughest schedule their remaining opponents combined five fifty five
strength of schedule. Right, that's a winning percentage for the
Pelicans for fifty last in the ambient easiest Rather, with

(13:10):
twenty six games remaining, they have to make up just
four Joe, that's it? Just four for the Pelicans. I
think they could do that. Do you worry? I have, Joe,
the Portland Trailblazers there ahead of the Pelicans, behind Memphis.
They have the fift easiest schedule. The remaining opponents have
twenty five games left when it's four sixties seven? So
should we give more credit to Portland? Should we look

(13:32):
to Portland and maybe give them a better chance at
making that eight spot than maybe the Pelicans or even
Memphis who had How would you handicap those three teams
first to last? Listen, First of all, if I'm Portland,
you better hurry up and get Damian Leuller back. Um
that's number one, and it does look like he's gonna
be out for at least another three games. They said

(13:53):
it with the groin injury that happened just before the
All Star break. He wasn't able to play in the
All Star Game. And the thing with groin injuries, guys,
is that it's it's you just don't know. I mean,
it's one of those things where rest is the best
is the best medicine for it, but if you push
it back too soon. We saw Lebron last year with

(14:14):
this issue if you keep trying to push it, and
that's my worry. If I'm Portland's um, at what point
do you go it's not worth bringing Damian Lillard back
if he's not acent, because this could get away from
them in a hurry. Somebody else, c J. McCullum, somebody
else has got to step up here. We you know,
you take two steps forward with a groin injury, and

(14:35):
all of a sudden you push him back. It's three
steps back, and now it's you know, now it's a
month without Damian Lillard as opposed to a week, So
I think they're gonna be very careful with him. Without
Damian Lillard. To me, it's just there's no shot for
Portland's here, and I think that New Orleans because of
the strength of schedule, they're growing together as a team.
You mentioned Alonzo, that combination, and I've said this earlier

(14:59):
lns Oh and Zion that combo guys, is going to
be lethal for years to come. Think Stockton Malone kind
of situation. All right, that's what That's what we've got
between these two. If if Alonzo can get a little
better shot and he's doing a great job right now,
he's stay, his shooting gets a little bit better, his
passing ability, his ability to be a floor general with

(15:22):
Zion there, um, those two are gonna wreck havoc Man
on a lot of teams for a lot of seasons
to come. So I do think Memphis and New Orleans
have the best chances. Portland's without Damian Loward and I
worry about a groin injury. I don't see him contending.
I think they pulled the plug a little bit earlier
than people think. I agree. I think it's New Orleans

(15:45):
or Memphis. I think New Orleans will make up those
four games with the easy schedule. Like we discussed Joe
another game from last night that he continues to amaze
me how well Chris Paul has been playing this year.
He single handedly with five minutes six minutes left in
that game, he hit the big three, got the momentum
right back with Okay see over the Denver Nuggets. I

(16:06):
thought Denver would challenge him a little bit more than
they did in that game. But how about Chris Paul
and Okay, see just how they're doing it this year.
I keep waiting for them to fall. Gallinari, as good
as he is from three. He's limited in what he
can do. And you know that the rest of the
players on that team, I mean Steven Adams, he's he's

(16:27):
a big dude in the middle where you don't need
big dudes in the middle anymore in this NBA, Joe,
it's like he's he's kind of like a throwback to
the eighties. But it works. Whatever did this team works?
They continue to win. I don't. I'm waiting for to
the the the I'm waiting for it to pop right
the blue and to pop bust right on. OK, see
what do you think? But I gotta tell you what

(16:52):
Adam's line last night, guys nineteen points, sevent team board
shay Um Alexander eleven points. They've won and this is crazy, Guys.
They've won a leaven of their last fourteen games. They
are covering machines, including on the road. Last night, they
were able to get the job done at home thirty

(17:12):
four and twenty two. You've got the veteran leadership of
Chris Paul, who spent a lot of time guys talking
about and saying he was talking to teammates, these younger
guys on the tim like Alexander saying we gotta handle
our business after the All Star break. Guys, it's vitally
important that you know, we continue to do the things
that we did prior to the All Star Break. We

(17:32):
gotta kick it up another notch. That's another team with
the experience, with the toughness, the height, and the shooting
they have from the perimeter. Yeah, okay, see, is is
not a team They're gonna be middle of that road
in the Western Conference. They're gonna be that number five
seed that nobody if you're a four seed Clippers, are
you listening to me? Uh? Yet? Nobody wants that. Nobody

(17:56):
wants that four or five matchup. I can tell you
that right now of having to deal with Okay, see, man,
it's gonna be really really interesting watching what happens over
the next couple of weeks because this team can flat
out play and they do it a little old school,
but they've got the perfect guy running the floor with
Chris Paul. It could not who you know, It's strange

(18:17):
how things weren't out it if you would have told
Chris Paul prior to that trade that you're gonna be
an okay see you Oh yeah, you guys are gonna
be thirty four and twenty two with a shot at
being you know, middle of the road and the play
he'd have laughed at I'd have laughed at you. Nobody
saw this coming. This was supposed to be a lottery team.
And where was Chris Paul going after? You know, where
were they going to go by the trade deadline? Who

(18:39):
was gonna take Chris Paul. He's not going anywhere, and
neither of this okay steam you know, it's funny because
we were all wondering, like, oh, Oklahoma City for Chris Paul.
Are they're just gonna flip him for some assets? But
his contract was such that it paid him so about
two more years after this year, and he's an aging
and he's had some injury shoes, you know, as you

(19:01):
know Joe, So there was some risk and taking on
that contract. But if people thought he could play this well,
especially in the clutch, it's one of the best clutch
performers with five minutes or less left in the fourth
quarter when the game is in reason, you know, with
within play in the league. And if they thought he
would play this well, someone would have traded draft picks

(19:21):
for this player for Chris Paul. And so I'm not
gonna give okay See the credit for keeping him, but hey,
sometimes the best deal is the deal you don't make,
and that's working out for okay See. I don't know
how far they could go, but they continue to amaze me.
Another team recapping the NBA that surprised me the Spurs
time the Nuggets. Good. God like, seriously, man, like, the

(19:43):
Nuggets are so only if you play in Denver. That's
I mean, it's embarrassed that their numbers last night. They
missed all seven of their three point shots in the
first quarter. They were six of twenty seven overall, thirty
one of fifty inside the three point line, and twenty
one of twenty three from the free throws. They've got
to get more consistent perimeter shooting, you know, without joking,

(20:05):
and he had a good night last night, but Jamal Mark, like,
somebody's got to be able to step up here and
really be able to deliver in the clutch. And it's
this has been their problem all year, especially on the road.
So I gotta keep an eye on Denver. I'm not
sold on him at this point. Wow, Really you're not
sold on the That's interesting. That's because with them last year.

(20:30):
Are gonna plague them this year in the playoffs where
teams that can shoot from the outside and throw a
lot of bodies at joking, they're gonna force somebody else
to beat them, And who in the hell is gonna be?
Who do you trust on that team besides joking? Yeah, no, one, No,
I don't trust him. Uh, Jamal Murray? Yeah, Harris, yep, yeah,

(20:59):
Gary Harris. Yeah, he took a hard fall yesterday. I
think he's gonna go out for the game and he
went for a dunk and they yeah crush former Michigan
State player. Yeah. No, I don't trust him at all.
So you're right. I want to talk about the Spurs
that they had a big win over the Jazz on
the road. Didn't see that one coming? Are we are
not giving the Spurs enough attention here? Can Can they

(21:20):
possibly sneak it to the eighth seed there in the West? Um? Again,
I don't think they can. But can they get it
done with the old man Gregg Popovitch there in San Antonio.
You know the thing that I love about Pop this year,
and you know, sometimes I don't think he gets enough credit.
You know, Pop has got this idea that oh it's
this is the way we've always done it. It's my
way or the highway kind of attitude. But the truth

(21:43):
is he has gone completely away, uh, completely away from
what we know the Spurs to have been under Papa Bitch.
He's given this kid, Mury, right, de Jant Murray. He's
given this kid more freedom to be a little bit
more loose with the ball, offensively, go out do your thing.
He's not screaming so much about defense. You know, He's

(22:04):
kind of letting these younger guys kind of dictate the
flow of what's going on. And it it took a
little while for them to get it, but the rotations
are there now. You still have Listen, you know, you
still got the Rose and you still have Aldrich. But
some of these other guys, like Murray, is starting to
fit in now and pop has kind of readjusted his
philosophy a little bit. And this is what you're starting

(22:27):
to see. So absolutely not do you count out a
Greg Popovich run San Antonio Spurs team that has those
two guys Aldrich and de Rosen and some young guys
that are really starting to fit in. And he's figured
out the right rotations and how to utilize him. So,
uh yeah, don't sleep on San Antonio. At a huge

(22:48):
win in Utah's a seven and a half eight point
dog last night, should we sleep on the Jazz? I
know there, you know, seventh seed right now in the
Western COMF. They didn't play with Mike Conley yesterday, but
Mitchell just twelve points against the Spurs. Rudy Gobert showed up,
but nothing really else from that roster last night. Bob

(23:10):
Donovich had had double digits, but other than that, there
was nothing doing there for the Jazz. Later stinker at home.
You would expect a better performance from the Jazz and
I you know, they're right there. It's a tough Western Conference,
but I think they've under achieved this year big time. Listen,
this team should be so much better than what they are.
This was supposed to be the next Donovan Mitchell step

(23:31):
in his progression of being, uh you know, being all
world and being an absolute superstar. Here you've got the
rim protector and Rudy Gobert, one of the best in
the game, a couple of all stars, Bobdanovich and you're
the seventh seed. Like what in the uh you know?
They went on a run here just before the All
Star break where they were really good. But they beat
all Craft teams. So congratulations, you can beat the Craft teams,

(23:54):
you can't beat the Bed teams. Should be a lot
of fun, Joe, NBA second half has begun all right.
Coming up next act f out Week number three. We
have two games on the slate tonight. We'll take a

(24:58):
on the Sports Grade TV Network. We're talking XFL Week
three today, two games two pm Eastern time. You have
the Houston Roughnecks and they're uh the talk of the
league against the Tempera Bay Vipers and the Dallas Renninggades
at the Seattle Dragons and on Sunday the St. Louis
BattleHawks to know they're expecting thirty thousand in their first

(25:22):
home game. We saw thirty thousand for Seattle's first home
game last weekend. So, Joe, your thoughts of the league
two weeks through? Has it changed since maybe preseason? What
you were thinking about this league? I mean, after two weeks,
how would you rate the XFL? Well, I think the

(25:42):
thing that stuck sticks out the most is that as
you can in just two weeks of a season in
football in the new league. But the truth is, home
field seems to have been pretty important thus far, and
scheduling for a couple of these only two teams still,
you know, not having played a game at home. I
think we're gonna know an awful lot on whether or
not that is something that will continue to play out

(26:06):
after by Monday, for sure. But some of these teams here,
like the Vipers, finally at home here today, having an
opportunity to show everyone they're not as bad as as
everyone has made them out to seam this was a
preseason favorite, a lot of people were jacked up on
the Tampa Bay Vipers, but it has not been that way.

(26:27):
But their home today taken on the roughnecks to a
lot of people think are just you know, they've been
running over teams. They a lot of people feel this
is the best team by far in the XFL. Well,
now we're gonna see them on the road and we're
gonna see Tampa home. So I think we're gonna have
a pretty good idea if those two trends of back
to home teams and back unders. We'll see if that

(26:49):
continues here today we're starting to see even you know,
a lot a lot lower totals on the board, but
even this one today at two o'clock, you're talking about
a what seven? It could actually get day eight. I mean,
not a lot of people backing the Vipers right now.
It appears at home, so they don't think it's home
away neutral. They think the Vipers are a hot mess

(27:10):
right now and Houston could be that good. But we're
gonna find out here today. We will find out. And
one thing is for sure, if you awarded an m
v P to the best player right after two weeks,
it would go to p J. Walker, the Houston Roughnecks quarterback.
I think everyone would be in agreement with that. Cardel

(27:30):
Jones has played well for the DC defenders as well,
but I think it's Walker and and and no one
else there is for the m v P two weeks
through and June Jones. You know that running shoot offense.
I'm not surprised by the the numbers that they're putting up,
but they will get tested today because the Tampa Bay Vipers,
they were the favorite says you mentioned betting favorites going
in bad quarterback play. Aaron Murray started the first week,

(27:52):
then Taylor Cornelius, and then they have Flowers. It looks
like they'll go to Flowers a little bit. These more
of the dual threat quarterback today. Uh. That might present
a challenge to the Houston Roughnecks defense. But we'll learn
a hell of a lot about the Roughnecks today. And
the seven points though, can they cover this number? I'm
leaning towards the Vipers plus seven. I think the Roughnecks

(28:14):
will win the game, but I think it'll be closer
than people think. So give me the Vipers plus seven points.
That's my first pick there. Joe, Well, listen if the
Vipers don't figure it out on offense, this game could
get ugly quickly. Well I'll just say that if they
don't have some sort of sustained drives and putting points
on the board here with some consistency against this Houston team, Yeah,

(28:36):
a double digit win is not is not out of
the question for Houston. So I understand why the line
continuing to push up. I think it will continue. I
think it will be seven and a half even eight
by the time by the time kickoff comes. But you know,
they need to find some offense the Vipers. Otherwise, going
up against the Houston team, they'll have no problem putting

(28:57):
up points on this on this Tampa a Viper's defense.
Do you see anyway June Jones, with a successful campaign
here in the XFL, can parlay it into another job,
maybe in college football or even in the NFL, maybe
as an offensive corda probably unlikely, but maybe in college football.

(29:17):
I mean, these coaches have a lot to play for.
They we know about the players. We know the players
want to get back into the NFL or get into
a tryout to try to get into the NFL. The
coaches as well that there's motivation there for them to
to play coach well and and put up some big numbers,
if you will. In June Jones's case, Mark Trustman's the
Tampa Bay Vipers head coach. We've seen him in the

(29:38):
NFL Chicago Bears of late, so there's motivation there as well.
So it's interesting to see the running shoot offense and
how p. J. Walker continues to run that. But I
will say this the defense for Houston, they let St.
Louis back into that football game. Last week, they had
a shot. St. Louis had a shot. The battle Hawks
had a shot on the road. So the Vipers, like
you mentioned, can figure out that quarterback position. I like

(29:59):
fly hours if they have to give him more snaps,
you only have the snaps at quarterback last week. He
at least he's a duel threat. At least he brings
something else besides throwing the football. Maybe he could, you know,
get outside the pocket and and create some chaos and
get some points on the board for the Vipers. They
desperately need that. Forty five is a total right now.
That's a live total on Findel Sports book. In this game,

(30:22):
the under has been in play. It's been making people money.
With six to two in favor of the under so
far through a game. So, Joe, what's the smart play?
Is it? The under here? Forty five points of this game?
To me, until I see some offensive consistency from the Vipers,
it would be hard for me to go, Oh, this
is definitely a uh an over type of situation because

(30:45):
if they do finally figure it out today and they
do have some success, I think we can both agree
the Vipers secondary in their first two games has seen
nothing like what they are going to see from a
offensive standpoint here today, especially in the passing game with
Sammy Coats, Khalil Lewis, Nickton. Those guys are our beasts

(31:06):
and they're finding them. This is gonna be the best
passing game Tampa has seen thus far this year. So
could this game go over if Tampa can find any
offense whatsoever? Yeah, they as probably in a way to
go here at this point. Might have been a little
undervalued right now, going against the grain there a little bit.

(31:26):
I like it, Joe. The second game the Dallas Renegades
at the Seattle Dragons. Uh did Seattle Dragons got the
first win at home last week? There one in one
of the year Renegades one and one as well, Joe.
The spread here four four points now for Dallas favorites
in this game, forty one the total. It's a little total.
Landry Jones played last week. We went over three d

(31:47):
passing yards, kind of dinked and dunked his way to
do doing so. Didn't throw the ball deep as much
as maybe I would have thought with this at rate
offense that I'm waiting to see there in Dallas. But
they ran the football because they the l A Wildcats
were playing a too deep uh the cover two, and
then they would wouldn't put that second safety in the box,

(32:07):
and so they just ran it. So Landa Jones didn't
have to throw it much in the second half, and
that's how they won the game. Joe. But it's gonna
be a challenge the Dragons. Their offense, Uh, they leave
a lot to be desired there in Seattle. Probably what
the sixth best offense, fifth or six I think in
this XFL, so uh below the middle of the pack
there and below average here. I like the Rerunninggades on

(32:31):
the road laying the four points. I think they'll get
it done and Landa Jones second game here in this offense.
I expect him to play even better. He had a
couple of interceptions in his game number one, So I
like the Dallas Rennegades in this game. Toma, this has
got underwritten all over it. You're looking at what Yeah,

(32:52):
and it ain't low enough. I mean, Brandon Silver's is
a forty nine percent completion. Passer average is five y'all
artsper attempt um. He doesn't add anything on the ground.
This is not an offense that is going to They've
got the middle of the road running game. Trey Williams,
Kenneth Farrell, Jawan Gardner. Um, we've got a Dallas run

(33:14):
defense that's number one in the XFL, in this league
in the first couple of weeks. So when you look
and you put it all together and say, all right, listen,
Landry Jones still on his way back. But we know
they can run. Well, if they're running, we know what
that means. They're gonna run. They're gonna run a lot.
And if you're successful, why in the hell would you
go away from that? Doesn't make any sense. You still
need to win games. I could see this just being

(33:36):
an absolute This is one of those games on the
car this weekend. Where we've had a couple of ugly ones.
This has got ugly written all over it. I don't
see how the dragons and Brandon Silver's moved the ball
on this Dallas defense. And Dallas is not gonna be
lighting or airing it out to anybody still trying to
get Landry Jokes feet under him. Uh, this is gonna be.

(33:56):
This is gonna be in the thirties, if mid thirties,
if we're lucky. When it's all said and done. Oh wow,
it's almost like a ten total, like you know, but
you always see these low totals like it's like a
big ten Michigan State against Illinois something like you know,
early on in the season in college football, forty one

(34:17):
and you're going under. So that's that's it. That's that's
good about the huge average the league average right now
for the first couple of weeks, it's thirty eight, guys,
it's thirty eight total points, thirty seven point eight. So
that's what we're looking at for an average in this league.
So it's actually the number right now is a little
bit above average, but we have two below average offenses

(34:39):
from a point perspective, So yeah, give me the under
in here. There's some value in so I like the
Roughnecks on the money line, but I do think Tampa.
If if you had if I had to pick one
game on the point spread, I mean one team on
the point spread and that I'd go Vipers plus the seven.
But I think Roughnecks win that. I'm more confident in
that one. I like the Renegades. I don't the four

(35:00):
points with the Renegades. And Joe looks like you like
the over in the first game and the under in
the second game. Correct, I'm going totles. That's right, I'm
gonna go over. I think Tampa can find a little
bit of success and I'll drive that. I know Houston's
gonna have success, so I'll take the over in there.
I think that's gonna be a game that might reach
fifty and Joe through two weeks. We we mentioned it

(35:24):
at the start. What do you think does this lay
league have staying power? It might be too early to
to to answer that. I get it. But ratings were
down from one from week one to week two, right,
but that's expected. I mean, you get you get a
little pop. For the first week, attendance was was up.
I guess because Seattle had the twenty nine thousand or

(35:46):
nearly thirty thousand for their first home games, so that
kind of sweet things. But their averaging between fifteen and
what seventeen thousand per UH contest can is that sustainable?
Joe real quickly in fifteen seconds. Listen. They had a
lot more competition last week with other sports. Doesn't surprise me.
Viewership was down. As long as they sell tickets, this

(36:07):
will win, all right. We'll talk bas League Baseball a

a little sub dude, but always action here to my
left here when the harness racing gets going at Aqueduct, Joe,
I want to get into baseball, but real quickly update

(37:20):
on number one versus number three, Kansas taking it to
Baylor on the road, thirty two to twenty three, Kansas
five and a half point favorites in game right now
shooting nearly six from the field that Jay Jayhawks are
taking it to Baylor. What's your thoughts early on three
minutes left in the first half of that game. Yeah,
I'm you know. I got this game on one of

(37:41):
the monitors here in the studio and it's Baylor has
just been a trocious shooting the ball here. They're taking
ill advised shots. They look a little, uh, a little
nervous here early on. Kansas is just uh is staying
steadfast Ozabooki is uh is a just a force to
be reckoning with their in the middle. H They just
gotta slow it down here a little bit for a bailor.

(38:02):
I think they'll be fine as long as this game
doesn't get two out of hand. A lot of fouls
to a lot of a lot of going to the
line between these two teams, so the refs are blowing
the whistle early in this matchup. Alright, Joe, let's talk
some baseball a right. Spring training today, two games set
to begin here at one o'clock. What's your philosophy on

(38:24):
betting spring training games? Do you bet bet spring training games?
How how much do you put on these games? And
what's your philosophy overall and MLB spring training? Yeah, my
philosophy is very simple, don't bet it. It's really that simple. Yeah,
it's very this line, so we have to talk about it. Yeah,
there are lines, but again they listen. There are guys

(38:47):
that that absolutely uh do jump on it to me. Yeah, no,
I mean the limits aren't that much anyway. In some
books don't even carry them. Others it's a couple of
hundred dollars. If if that's so, you're not going to
find places. They're not gonna anybody come in and drop,
you know, five dimes on a on a spring training game.
So there are guys that do it and they love it.

(39:09):
There aren't baseball guys and I yeah, no, I mean
I love baseball. Get me wrong, but it's there's just
too much else going on to be worrying about. Are
we talking to split squad? Who's who's this? Who's not? I? Yeah, No,
this is learn. This is watch and learn, uh, in
the spring training with these guys, and then then we

(39:32):
dive into the meat and potatoes on once opening day
comes around. Yeah, and that's March twenty six this year,
really early opening day in around the Major League Baseball
All right, Joe, before we get into the al Central
wind totals for the division. Uh, your thoughts on what's transpired?
I mean, do we severno right? Arm? Sore nous so

(39:55):
he's gonna be reevaluated? Does not sound good? You have
Aaron Judge a little cranky shoulder, although he's taking BP.
We'll see how that works out. We have more with
the Houston Astros with the sign stealing of David Ortiz
calling Mike Fires a snitch, Mike Fires saying he's receiving
death threats. You got Josh Reddick from the Astros also

(40:15):
coming out saying that he's received death threats. A big
mess right now in Major League Baseball. You have the floor.
It's it's been a couple of days since we've talked
on with baseball, so over the last couple of days,
what has really stirred your stirred you up and and
what do you want to um opine on right now
with baseball. It's amazing to me how um how how

(40:38):
this got so out of so out of control so
quickly for Major League Baseball. Like I know for a fact,
Major League Baseball was not expecting this to continue to
be story headline number one. They kind of thought that,
all right, listen, it is what it is. Everyone's punished.
Baseball is gonna start and that'll be the end of it. Now,

(41:00):
Rob Manford is praying that Tom Brady signs with somebody
else besides the New England Patriots, Like do anything in
the world to take the headline? Jo, Yeah, do anything?
Did not make Major League Baseball to Houston Atros and
cheating scandal the main story right now. It'll it'll all
calm down once it starts getting once we start playing,

(41:23):
once these games start going on. Listen, it was gonna
be a tough season for the Astros anyway. It was
going to be scorched earth. Let's face it, every city
they go to, it's gonna be tough man. I mean
baseball fans of they got no problem letting them know
about it. Now, listen, Houston's got an opportunity to go
out and show everyone wrong. Hit two eighty hit two

(41:43):
eighty five at home, you know, go out dominate like
you did from two thousand seventeen on. And listen this
all guys. You go out and hit too fifteen um
and you finished in third place. This is a problem
for you, Houston moving forward. It's a problem to anybody.
Sore pressure on Houston this year than ever before. But

(42:03):
again to your point with the Yankees, listen, more pressure
on the Yankees. It's hard enough being the Yankees. Your
expectation levels to win are always through the roof. But
now you're looking at a team that's expected to win
over a hundred games right there. Anticipated win total over
a hundred with the Red Sox, and what's happened with them?
No more Mookie. But there's not like you can't lose

(42:25):
the American League, eat anything short of a World Series,
and hell World Series victory in five you are. It's
going to be a very long road for the Yankees.
Health last year was an issue all year. They managed
to battle through. They are used to it. They've got
the talent, but having the talent and executing with that talent.

(42:46):
We've seen this before, guys, all the talent the world
doesn't mean anything unless you go out and execute. So
a very trying season for the Yankees ahead to It's
gonna be a very important year, giving Garrett Call the
three million, the expect that, Yes, Severino's gone, but you
know what, nobody will really focus on actress. It's gonna
be all about Garrett Call. But let's see what else

(43:09):
they got outside a Call here. It's gonna be very
interesting to see how this Yankee team starts and what
the narrative is, let's say, thirty games into the season. Yeah,
a lot of pressure on Cole, even more so with
Severino and Paxson going down. He's gonna have to step
up big early on to carry this team to get
over the to the All Star break when they get

(43:30):
some of those guys back. Hopefully Severino's injuries not as
severe as some people who may think it is. Well
time will tell them that. But as far as man
Friend's concerned, the guy's a dope, Joe, He's a dope
calling the World Series trophy a piece of metal. I mean,
he makes he made matters worse for himself. That interview
on ESPN was just a train wreck and he had

(43:50):
to come out and apologize for it. He's making this
and he didn't punish two players he gave him. You know,
he made sure that he wanted to I guess, get
the information. So he made sure that they talked the immunity.
He gave them immunity. And that's not going over well
with a lot of the players outside of the Houston
astros um. So he's made this, He's bumbled this, He's

(44:11):
made this a story. It's Manfred's problem that he made
it even bigger. So to me, I don't feel sorry
for him. I just don't see what we can do
as a baseball fan. How do we get rid of
this guy? How do we get rid of the commissioner?
It's not like you know, public opinion matters. Look at Goodell,
he survived and most of the public walking him out.
I mean, these commissioners is like lifetime appointments. I mean,

(44:32):
as long as you make the money, the owners don't care. Sean,
you just you just you fit. You buried the league man,
Rob Manfred Roderi, Goodell, Bettman, and everybody else. Their job
isn't to appease the fans. Their job is to make
money for the owners. Their job is to create storylines

(44:54):
that take our focus away from really what might be
going on. I'm Manfred in no way, shape or form,
uh cares what you are. Anybody else thinks. The only
thing that matters to him are the people who pay him,
which are the billionaire owners of Major League Baseball. What
he can't have is a story that includes the New

(45:16):
York Yankees the Dodgers. If all of a sudden it
breaks out that cheating was a very common occurrence in
Major League Baseball, like what the Astros did for a
long time, that it started with the Yankees, and then
it went to the Dodger, and then it was if
all of his sudden it became bigger than just the
Astros and just this situation, he's dead in the water.

(45:40):
Baseball is dead in the water. His job is to
make sure that, Yeah, you want to hate Rob Manfred,
you go ahead and hate me, But the reality is
you ain't gonna find out how really systemic this problem was.
You're never gonna fall while players are sitting there going.
Uh you still, the reality is that's been that's probably
been going on in some way, shape or the other

(46:02):
over the last ten years with electronics. But you can't
let the Yankees go down, you can't let the like,
you can't let these teams. You can't let it get
any further than just hate Rob Manford, hate the Astros.
That's why he's paid forty million dollars a year. That's
what Roder Goodell does better than anybody. There's nothing to

(46:22):
see over here, David Stern was that was fantastic. Exactly
if there's no need. You want to hate me, you
hate me, but you're not gonna find out that Jordan's
going to play minor league baseball because he owes bookies
like where you're not gonna find any of that. That's
the That's what his job is is to protect the
game and protect the owners pocketbooks. And that's exactly what

(46:45):
he's doing right now. So go ahead and hate him.
The more you hate him, the more we're not looking
at what else could possibly be the story here, because
to me, this is a much wider problem than just
the Houston Astros. Here, guys, and it always has been
Major League baseball like steroids. The way they did this
same damn thing here. I couldn't agree more. Joe, you

(47:09):
nailed it there. In the NFL, they have some issues
to work out themselves with the NFL p A, with
the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Uh, that's a long segment in
its own right, Joe, that I want to get into.
I I failed to mention that, but Joe real quickly.
Al Central Wind totals Indians ninety one and a half.

(47:29):
I'm going over this number. Homer Billy is their fourth starter.
He was thirteen and nine for them with a respectable
mid four e r A in the American League. So
Homer Billy is your fourth starter, with Barrios there with
Kent to my Ada now is their three starter. I
liked the team. Odor Rees's there. Two starter one through four,
their solid and then you know they can hit the baseball.
They got Josh Donaldson at third. Now I'm going over

(47:51):
ninety one and a half. And it's not even a thought.
It's way over. You're you mean the Twins. You said
the India, but you're talking to the Twins. Twins. Yeah, sorry,
Twins one win season last year. In fact, I think
last year their number was right around ninety nine and
a half something along those lines. Um, I think it's
just an extra game from what it was last year.

(48:13):
And to your point, they did get a little bit
better here, so I don't see any reason why I'd
want to fade their total at all to me. Over
for the Twins, they're probably they're looking at ninety seven
win season and a title in the Central once again.
All right, we'll get to the rest of the teams
their win totals, whether or not we like him over

(48:34):
under that number when we come back. Our number two
