(00:27):
I want all of you to get up out of
your chess, go to the window, open it and stick
your head out of here. Number two of at the
window alongside Jared Smith. I'm Ariel Epstein. We've got you
(00:47):
covered here for the next hour on out the window,
and then we'll switch over to In Game Live where
the two of us have another two hours of Hope
you like Number because if you don't, you try oh no,
And then if you're watching MSG later too. It's just
before I know how you feel having her live at home.
(01:07):
Oh man. Yeah, it's it's a rough. It's a rough,
except that Mom likes that I sometimes do the dishes,
something at least you can do for free. Rent, you
don't do the dishes every day. I try. I try
to remember. You're very good. You're you're you're a good
big sister. Though I've seen many posts, so that's good. Yes,
I help my brother's study, good sister. I help him study,
(01:29):
even though I know nothing about middle school anymore. I'm
decent at math. Really, I wouldn't have. I figured you'd
be more. No, I just thought you'd be better at
like I figured if I had to guess how you
did on your S A T S. Actually you were
probably too young to take the probably be a C
T S right, both. I bet you did better on
verble than math. That's my bad. Um, No, wow, all right,
(01:53):
so I lose. No. Actually, I'm really bad at reading comprehension.
That's not great for a journalist. You know. It's a problem.
And I have a problem. I have memory problems and
like everything that makes a good journalist, I'm really not
good at so But how did it work then that
I applied myself. She tries really hard, tries really hard. People,
(02:14):
She tries really hard, try really hard. Jared's always like,
that's prepping so much. I'm not going to read a comprehension.
If I read an article about what happened in the
Lakers Bucks game Friday, I'm telling you I'll read the
article and I won't remember I did. I did give
you unduly crap this morning for I said, let's just
(02:35):
free ball the rundown today, like let's just let's really
and and let's just see where it takes us. And
I was like, I knew I was going to surprise
you with the Washington money line pick right off the
top because I wanted to see how you would react
to it. And it was a favorable reaction. You made
one of your best jokes of us working on air together,
saying it was seventy to one for us to open
the show with the back to all. That was the
best joke you've made in six months of working with you.
(02:56):
So I'm that's why sometimes the off the cuff stuff.
Gabe has a point when he says when he fights
back about the Morning show run down, that sometimes the
off the cuff stuff, if contained inside of a nice
little bubble, can be very entertaining. Agreed um, And I said,
I don't always stick to the rundown. I just need
the rundown because of my stats, and I need it
because of numbers. Because if you asked me to memorize
(03:18):
what the final score was of the games last night.
I can't do it. That's not a rundown, though, those
are notes their notes in the road in a little
segment right, because now you you purposely stayed off the rundown.
And I didn't even fill out this whole second hour.
There's nothing in the second hour. It's completely blink. Jared
and I went, we had we had social things to
(03:39):
do last night. It was my friend's birthday. And I
said this all the time, being a girl, it stinks
because you're going out with your friends who were girls.
You know that you have money on games. You have
to talk about all these games the next day for work.
And I'm watching the games on my phone during dinner.
My friend yells at me, phones away, So no, I'm here,
(03:59):
that's way. What is your mom? I'm here? Yeah, I
don't know. They said, phones away. Let's all because I'm
zoned into the phone and my friend's birthday dinner. So
I did feel bad, but I said, guys, i'm working here.
They said, what do you mean you're working? I said,
I have to watch these games or else. I don't
know what I'm going to talk about tomorrow. Okay, So
I I understand your plight. My response would be fine,
(04:22):
new friends who like sports very hard to do, I understand,
But Marie challenging. I think March and this is this
is actually a great That's why I work six days
a week. I got I beat you. There um no competition,
though for now, I know it'll flip back. I'm sure
at some point because I had you on football season.
Oh you were destroying me on football season. Um, you
(04:43):
destroyed yourself and your sleep cycle. Um, my well being,
peace of mind? Um. I so just find better friends.
Are I'm sure there's a lot of people listening. Bob
is like blowing up our chat right now. I'm sure
he'd like to be a friend. I'll let you watch
any game you want about would never be upset at
me watching any games. No. Yeah, so my friends kind
(05:04):
of understood. But it is very challenging when you try
to have a social life on the weekends, but you
also have to be watching. Social lives exist in March.
They don't exist until summer, I know, and in baseball
season starts. But at least baseball season is favorable because
a lot of baseball games are during the day, so
that nights, you know, you get a lot of evenings
that are not as busy, and also there's less other
(05:25):
like when baseball season is going on in June and July,
there's nothing else happening. Right now, We've got NBA, NHL,
all this crazy stuff with the football quarterbacks, who's playing?
Where the draft? All this next week is going to
be madness. Like it's like you just can't rest, Like
it's just there's just no time to rest. We have
two more games starting to speaking of a lot of
things going on, we have two more college games that
began at one o'clock. So to Nebraska is at Minnesota
(05:47):
and Hampton is at Winthrop. Yeah, Hampton, so mid major
mat is Hampton. Hampton is an interesting pick. So this
is the Big South. Winthrop has been the best team
in the Big South all year. Winthrop's a legit team.
I was looking at their numbers last night, Winter Paz,
what a lot of teams really like crave in March,
which is experience. They are very experienced when they're pull
(06:08):
up already, come on, Winter's a very experienced team. They're
a very hot team. Uh. They are one of the
most experienced teams in college basketball. They're one of the
best field goal shooting teams in college basketball. Uh, they're
top twenty five field goal percentage teams, so they get
easy buckets. And they run in a really fast tempo,
which causes some teams that are slow. There's not a
(06:29):
lot of fast teams in the in college basketball that
are really good. Like if you look at I was
I was actually funny because I was looking at this
last night. So if you pull up like the top
like adjusted tempo teams in college basketball, they're all bad teams.
The number one adjusted tempo team is Mississippi Valley State, Houston,
Baptist Alabama, who is not a tournament team, but at
least they're a major team, Marshall, who's terrible. Eastern Kentucky
(06:51):
sub five, Delaware State five and twenty five this year.
Like the usually the teams that run really fast are
trying to make up for some other deficiencies somewhere and
they're just not a good team overall. But Winthrop is
a is a really good team and they're probably gonna
win this conference. That were eleven and a point favorites
today and they're gonna give some I think them in
right State are the two teams that run really really
(07:12):
fast that are gonna be in the n C Double
A tournament, that are gonna give somebody problems. Arizona states
another one, uh in the Pact twelve that runs a
really fast tempo that's going to give somebody problems in
the tournament. But again, those teams have to make shots
because if you just take a shot after five or
ten seconds and it's a brick, you're gonna find yourself
on the wrong end of the blow up. Interesting, So
some of those smaller schools to really look out for
(07:34):
and or those is that the stat that you really
is that the stat that you keep an eye on
when you're trying to handicap these smaller tournament It's in
the top five. So adjusted adjusted tempo is a big one,
adjusted offensive and defensive efficiency, and then the other ones
that I really look at, I'll look at experience, I'll
look at size, and then I'll look at a couple
(07:55):
of key factors match up dependent, three point shooting, defense, offense,
free throw shooting is huge. Uh So yeah, six, six
to seven like key stats that I will like rank
these teams by, and also how they've played recently and
how they've played against like opponents. So you might get
some matchups in the tournament where they face each other
(08:15):
earlier this year, or they or the regional rivalries and
they face each other in the past. It's not so
I feel like that's not so often against smaller squills. No, No,
usually the mid major games. That's why the mid majors
are the toughest to pick the upsets against the high majors,
because there's very little dad at a backup right there.
It's just it's very random, and that's what's great about
the tournament and but also maddening about the tournament. No,
(08:38):
it's it's gonna be a great tournament this year, just
because there's so many there's so many wild cards. You
don't know, these number one seeds have been Listen, we've
seen Duke get upset and like one of the largest
upsets in history. And we've seen every one seed get
knocked off the top multiple times. So Virginia lose to
a sixteen seed a couple of years ago, we've seen Duke,
(08:59):
I remember is to Mercer a few years ago. I mean,
and then nobody's safe, right, you know, there's teams that
I think that are really good at home, and it's
going to be interesting to see how that translates into
the tournament. Like West Virginia last night. West Virginia was
at home last night and they picked up the win
over Baylor four, but they were at home. So one
(09:20):
of my favorite things to do in the tournament before
the actual tournament starts is to look back at last
year's tournament and kind of like remember some of the
big upsets because it helps me kind of get into
a frame of mind of who our potential and history
has a funny way of repeating itself. So last year
we saw one bracket where both first round upsets happened.
(09:43):
Wisconsin lost the Organ in the twelve and you see
Irvine beat Kansas State in the fourth thirteen game, and
an Organ made it to the sweet sixteen and lost
to Virginia by four. It was Virginia's closest game in
the tournament, with the exception of the Final four against Auburn.
That was the closest game Virginia played in the tournament
(10:03):
was against Oregon last year. And that's why I like
Organ's got some serious juice this year. Peyton Pritchard and
and Dan Altman are very underrated. Pritchard not as much underrated.
He's probably gonna win the PAC Twell Player of the Year.
But this is a Peyton Pritchard led team that has
been to the Final Four, They've been to the Sweet
six team, They've done pretty much everything you can ask
(10:26):
them to do in the PAC twelve. They've won the league.
They're gonna be a top four seed. I think they'll
probably win the Pactwealth Tournament. Hopefully it's Washington, but it'll
probably not be. And they were my first futures pick
this year, so I have like eight futures picks in
my portfolio. They were the first one that I made.
So you so, Oregon you think will be one of
(10:48):
those teams that are favorite and will win the PAC twelve.
Oregan's gonna win the Because we were talking about this,
we said a lot of these teams that are favored
to win their conference tournaments, or the team that's just
is the number one team in the conference, isn't necessarily
slated to win. And the package right now it's Oregon
at plus one eighty and there's not much value there.
You know, I would not be betting these seems to
(11:10):
win the Pact Wealth Tournament. There is some value I
think in Oregan still in the futures market overall at
plus I think that's a I mean, I bet them
a month ago at plus sixteen hundred and then I
came back again and and took another slice at plus d.
So my average is about plus eighteen hundred on them,
(11:30):
and they're my fourth or fifth most allocated team my portfolio.
It's Kansas, Gonzaga, Michigan State, I forget the organ might
be the fourth one, and then Florida State, San Diego
State are all in that category of like where I
have about a unit unit and a half on them.
We do have two big big ten matchups coming up
later this afternoon. We'll preview those coming up after the break.
(11:52):
Will also talk somewhere NBA and the xflzon today played
yesterday too, and there was a big bite last night.
There's a lot to get to in the next three
hours here in game Live, so stick around here on

(13:02):
Looking back at the Window alongside Jared Spentamaria Epstein, we're
breaking down all the college basketball games that are going
on right now, also previewing some that are coming up soon.
And I'm having trouble finding a Marquis Morris prop. I
know you can't, they're not really there, but he's the thing.
Like he's been on the team for like a solid
couple of weeks now. Like the Lakers and Clippers are
(13:23):
at three thirty Eastern time. It's going to be an
awesome game, I think, and we were touching on it
a little bit before, because the Lakers are two and
a half point dogs. They're the best dog in the
NBA this season, and to see them as two and
a half point dogs is kind of shocking to the
human I however, the Clippers. If there's any team that's
(13:44):
capable of beating the Los Angeles Lakers, it's the Los
Angeles Clippers. The Clippers are deeper than this Lakers team is,
and the Clippers weren't aren't coming off a potential NBA
Finals matchup, which is what the Lakers just did on Friday.
The Lakers ended up beating Milwaukee on Friday night. I
just don't know how much I can see the Lakers
bouncing back from that Milwaukee game and then having to
(14:05):
come in He's the Clippers. And we were talking about
Lebron James a little bit before and how Lebron James
has been playing a lot of minutes compared to what
he usually does. Yeah, and to be fair to the stats,
he's about on his average of where his minutes have
been for the last few years, right around thirty five
minutes per game, which is right where he's you know, averaging.
(14:26):
But my question to Lakers fans, if you were watching
this team and they're five and a half games clear
of the Clippers for the one seed, if they win today,
they'll have twenty games left, then they'll be six and
a half games up. It's over there there the one seed.
Even if they lose today, twenty games left, four and
a half up, that means that the Lakers would have
to go five and fifteen or set. No, it would
(14:49):
be seven and thirteen and the Clippers would have to
go thirteen and seven down the stretch to beat him.
I don't see the Lakers going seven and thirteen down
the stretch, or even six and or even eight and
twelve down the stretch. Lakers are gonna be a five
team down the stretch, which means the Clippers would have
to be fifteen and five down the stretch to make
up that ground. And I just don't see that happening.
You want to play Guess the NBA line? Yes, I
(15:10):
love this game. Okay, so Jared, guess the NBA line.
The Chicago Bulls are at the Brooklyn Nets at three ten.
That's the first game of the day. What's the line?
I love the Nets? Here in the spot first game
post Atkinson firing nets minus five and a half, You
guys were probably on air. Were you where you on
at the rim when that happened or was that after?
(15:30):
It was right before before we actually last segment? Were
your thoughts on the Atkinson firing? Kyrie Irving man just
make him the coach Lebron Yeah, you know, he basically said,
I don't like you anymore. I want Tyron low to
be the coach, and Kad probably said trill in assistant
(15:51):
right now, Tyron Lou, I think he comes over to Brooklyn.
He was, Yeah, No, I think it's already done. He
was his head coach in Cleveland and he liked to
Ron Lou and he does for some reason, doesn't like
Kenny Atkinson from what I'm hearing, from what I'm reading,
and this is all just seemed like weird timing because
Kyrie Ver rings up for the season, really weird timing.
He's out for the season. He doesn't have to worry
(16:11):
about playing for him for the rest of the year.
Kevin Durant's not coming in this season? Why fire Atkinson now?
Why not just wait? Unless they're too nervous that Lou
might get picked up by someone else before they could
get to him, and they wanted to be first. Wow,
Hampton's up over Winthrop right now? So locked into college
who I'm so locked into college troops? Um. I am
(16:33):
disappointed in the nets. I'm disappointed in in basketball. I'm
disappointed in the NBA. I'm disappointed in the direction that
this league is going overall, with how they treat the coaches.
Kenny Atkinson is as good of a coach as you're
going to find in the league. He is as good
And I know Scott Farrell is not gonna agree with
this take, but it's okay. We can disagree on this.
(16:55):
I think Kenny Atkinson is the perfect coach for what
the Nets were last year, which was a young, rebuilding
team with a couple of pieces. But they need guidance
for a team with Kyrie and k D and stars,
they need a placeholder. Pron Lou is basically a yes man,
(17:16):
a placeholder for those two guys. Kenny Atkinson wants to
run the team his way. He wants to preach fundamentals
and preach defense and preach all these things that today's
NBA pro could care less about. Ironically enough, Kenny Atkinson
is a perfect fit to go across the East River
and coach the New York Knicks. And I hope that's
what happens, because the Knicks need a steady hand to
(17:39):
preach fundamentals and to get these kids to buy into
a system. In your relationship with Atkinson, and I don't know,
I don't know. That's a good question. I don't know,
because you know, Leon Rose is going to bring someone
in that he probably is a relationship guess probably. I
am also guessing that you are going to see some
(18:02):
buy back on the Nets in terms of where they
are in the marketplace now. I think single game today,
probably they're okay, and they'll probably play hard. Usually the
trend that's also true. Usually the trend is first game
post coach firing is a good is a good play on.
(18:24):
I would be willing to bet that the Nets finished
the rest of the season sub and I would be
willing to bet that they get bounced in the first
round and they don't win a game. They'll probably face
the seventh seed. They will be the seventh seed, They'll
probably face the two seed. Who knows, they could be
in a free fall and finish eight. I don't think
(18:46):
they'll be out of the playoffs. I think there's too
much wiggle room. There was a home favorite. The Nets
are ten and ten. Yeah, but again different circumstances. A
lot of those games are probably played with Kyrie because
they were not a favorite without him very much. Then
they were probably played with a head coach. Yeah. I
don't even know who the interim is. So right now
(19:08):
the Nets and the Magic are basically neck and neck
for the eight seed. So the Magic are and thirty five,
the Nets are twenty and thirty four. You would be
willing to bet the Nets win today, So they're a
game oup on the Magic with twenty games to go
for that eight spot. And guess what if you fall
into the eight spot? Yes, so you play in the
(19:28):
first round. Wait, I'm trying to think, um playing Boston? No,
well not in the first round. Yeah, if you fall
to the eight you feel you get he's the one.
Wouldn't Milwaukee? No? I know, but wouldn't Milwaukee not have
that hold on? What are you trying? What are you
(19:51):
trying to do to me? Here are you? It's one
verse eight if you face if you drop to the
eight seeds. I'm thinking in other sports in bizarro world
are l and maybe not, but in the in the
NBA that it's it's only getting longer. We're only just beginning. Um,
it would be a one eight matchup. So getting you
(20:12):
think that they dropped to an eight seed, Well, they're
only a game up on the Hordlando right now for
the eight. I mean it's a one game difference. Can
you see them falling out? Yes? Absolutely, there are only
four games clear of the Wizards. Is it likely they
fall out of the eight spot and make the and
missed the playoffs entirely? No, it's not likely. Is it possible. Sure,
(20:35):
it's possible they go on an eight or nine game
losing streak. This is a NETS team now that has
shown their hand in the marketplace. This is what we are.
We are Katie and Kyrie's team. We are not Kenny
Atkinson's team. Kyrie won the battle. He didn't like Kenny.
He hasn't even been at the arena. It's brutal. It's disgusting,
(20:56):
it's disgraceful, and I hate it, and I hate the
NBA four it. I hate the fact that the star
and I get why. If Lebron wants Frank Vogel gone,
he's gone tomorrow. He doesn't so Frank Vogel stays, the
NBA players have too much power over everything, and you
I understand why. Unlike the NFL, the NBA is a
(21:18):
star driven league. The coaching doesn't matter. The head coaches
for the most part, our figureheads. The players run the league.
The stars run the upper echelon of everything. If Lebron
wants something done, it gets done, period, end of story.
(21:40):
Like that, And it's the only league where you can
say that Tom Brady might not even have a team.
Imagine Lebron getting into a contract dispute with the Lakers
and then like no one knows where Lebron's gonna play
next year because nobody wants to sign him. Like, imagine
that happening. It wouldn't know, it wouldn't happen. People would
(22:00):
be lining up handle for fist to give him money.
Only in the NFL and other leagues are the stars
that much depressed. The NBA is like they have all
the powers. These these these these stars have all the power.
All right, we have to move on because we have
a few more games to get to. The Pelicans are
at the Minnesota Timberwolves. What do you think the line
(22:21):
is Pell's mine is six and a half? You look,
I didn't look. I'm not I'm looking at covers right now.
So the Pelicans are minus six and a half on
the road at the Minnesota looking at the A C
C bracket right, but two seven and a half? This
is like going with the Pelicans is like the newest
Over's market ever. I mean, they are going Their totals
(22:42):
are so high it's incredible. Are you fading these overs yet?
I mean, you can't bet under in the NBA. I mean,
life's too short to bed under in the NBA. Maybe
a first half under, I mean, I don't know. I
feel like the Pelicans are a very public team right now,
and it's a very hard play on for me in
(23:02):
any capacity. I think in general, you just kind of
watch the totals and you know, use them as fodder
for our shows, but you don't actually put your heart,
earn money on it. Milwaukee Bucks are at the Phoenix Suns.
I actually I saw this line because it was posted.
I think it's five and a half, right, five and
a half or six and a half? No Janice, I like,
(23:27):
I still like the Bucks. They're actually decent without your
Honest this year. Yeah, And I think when the Honest
isn't in, I think it gives the shooters a little
bit more kind of umph where Yannice dominates so much
of the transition game. When you Honice is out, the
Bucks still like to run, but they're more apt to
shoot the three instead of give it to Janice on
the open break, which is still a good strategy, but
(23:48):
I think it helps the Shooters stay a bit more engaged,
and I actually think they're more they're they're a different
team without your honest, but they're still there's still a
good team without your honest. So we got to a
lot of the boring games of today for the NBA slate.
But I think that the last the back half of
the NBA games that we're going to talk about coming
up after the break are the really great games of
the day that don't include the Lakers and the Clippers,
(24:09):
because of course that's the game to watch tonight, well
this afternoon through thirt pm Eastern. There are some really
good games though on the night's sleep in the NBA,
and some numbers that are a little questionable, and I
would love to get your thoughts on those. Just the line,
I think guess the line is my new flag. I
love guest the line. I Guess the line needs to
be a part of every Sunday shop. It is here,
(24:30):
it is, it's here, Stay tuned. At the end will

(25:44):
So Maryland is up fifty nine on Michigan and Maryland
now at minus seven and a half. Before we were
seeing it at Maryland minus eleven and a half. So
live line is dropping. That's so unfair. I was I'm game.
I'm switching it. I wanted to watch the game. I
(26:06):
don't need to watch it anymore. This game is over.
Let's watch the Maryland game. It's all about making sure
that we could. Keeping need to make sure the host
number one broadcasting, make sure the host is happy. All right,
We're gonna go down some more of these um NBA
games and more of these guests the lines, because I
(26:26):
do recommend a live play though. Win throwup minus one
and a half against Hampton. They're down nine right now.
They've cut the lead. It was like fourteen at one point.
Went is the better team. We talked about it. They're
a really fast paced team. It's gonna take them a
little bit to get going here. Um, I feel bad
because mid major Math's got a monster future on Hampton
at sixty two one to win this title. But I
(26:48):
think Winthrop comes back and wins this game. What about
how's the total looking in the Maryland and Michigan game.
It's actually I'm glad that we that we didn't bet it.
We gave it out. I personally didn't bet, but I
think it's still an underplay. Though. I'm surprised Michigan's really
pushed the tempo in the second half. I'm impressed with
Michigan's offense in the second half. They've figured things out
(27:09):
a little bit. It doesn't shock me in the first
ten minutes. Yeah you're right, Yeah, you were right. They're
out scoring in the second half the first time. This
is what Maryland does. They come out, they come out
firing one half, then they're slow the next half, or
vice versa. This is Maryland all season. And that's why
I'm scared to put on them in the tournament because
(27:30):
when you go in the tournament, you can't do this.
You can't play a half. You can't get sluggish at
one half and then pick back up in the second
it's not gonna work. Jarrett in the NBA gets the line.
The Oklahoma City Thunder are at the Boston Celtics. I
need an injury update on Kembo Tatum, Brown, Heyward, the
(27:53):
whole kit and caboodle. You don't get one, well, then
that's gonna affect the line. That's me. Kers came up
with the line, yeah, because they know who who's playing
well better. I can't be better unless you give me
all the proper information. Okay, I'm going to take your
time right now. Houston. By the way, as we said,
those are the two picks we gave out at half
(28:14):
Houston to come back and win, and the under in
the Maryland Michion game, which which could still hit. We
gave it out at one forty three and a half.
It's fifty eight minutes left. It's not like dead, but
it's gonna take a slow pace down the stretch. Houston's
up to that live line is up to five and
a half. What do you got for me on Boston?
All right? Kemba Walker, Um, there's no update here. You
(28:37):
have to go to the ESPN page. That's the best
page I know. I'll probably beat you too, because I'm
for Sunday. Hey, we're's gonna play what about Walker? He's
not on the injury port. Walker is gonna play. Jalen
Brown is out? Heyward's probably Jalen Brown's out. Walker is
gonna play. Based on that, I'm gonna say Celtics minus
(29:01):
four and a half, Celtics minus four our Oklahoma City
going to regress? Yes, yes to the regress, not yes
to the dress. Yes to the regress. That's another good
segment idea, yes to the regress. Yeah. I love how
we just come up with. Okay, see that's going in
(29:22):
the rundown. At some point we'll create that. No, do
it with Gay because he hates it when I say regression,
Yes to the regrets. That's actually really funny. Yeah, I'm
taking credit for that. I came up with that on
the floor. Get to wear a dress while we make
the picks. That's nobody wants that. Nobody wants to see that.
They want to see you wear the drys the wedding dress.
(29:43):
I'm oh my god, he do you see what I
had to deal with on a daily basis? Mr Epstein,
I'm sure you deal with it too, but come on,
come on, areas that Maverick. You're a young in the city.
You've got plenty of time to Daser's at Mavericks. Luca
(30:05):
and KP are both playing Mavericks minus four and a
half five and a half. You should have stuck with
your guys and a half. I was still close though.
By the way, this is about to die. So I
can plug it in. You can plug it in, but
it's gonna put it on my computer. You have to
(30:26):
go here. I'm gonna put on my computer. It'll go
right here, and during the break in five minutes, I'll
I'll get the plug. So Maryland is now this is helpful, Okay.
So Wisconsin, Michigan State, Maryland, Illinois, Iowa. In Illinois and
Iowa are playing today. Yes, and so if Maryland wins,
(30:47):
Maryland will be no less than the three, which is
good for them. You want to stay out of that
one four game. But I don't know. We talked about
this during the break, like, say, you're a team, would
you rather face Michigan State or Wisconsin? Right in Wisconsin,
I agree, in Wisconsin's the Seeds. So it's ironic that
the Big Ten is the one league where you're like
I'd rather face the two seed than the one seed.
(31:09):
That's also because Michigan State, what could you just say,
Wisconsin is a little more consistent this year, the Michigan
State is more consistent. Michigan State's better. Yes, yeah, Michigan
State just had a really bad bad stretched. It lost
four out of five bad stretch, and that knocked them
off of that elite. And the experience of Cassius Winston
is they're really good. They've experienced too, like Michigan State
(31:33):
for the last couple of years, even last year they
made the final four, and like that. They were relatively
young last year, like the last few years they've they've
been building up to this moment. I remember a couple
of years ago saying this, Michigan State teams really talented,
but they're young. Now they're coming back and they have talent,
they have experience and Tom is Oh and I feel
(31:54):
like Tom is like, when was the last Michigan State
the title? Years ago? How many years ago? It was
two thousand and two. I want to say, so Tom
is Oh hasn't Tom is l hasn't won it. He
hasn't won a title and that long you know that
they're ancy Oh of course they're antsy. So they made
to the final four in t nineteen, two thousand nine,
(32:20):
two thousand five, they've been in the final They had
a really good stretch the first ten years of this decade.
They were in the final four and half of the
first years of the decade. And they've been in the
final four in twice twice in the last decade, and
this is the first year of the New Day. They've
been to the final four seven times in the last
twenty years. I mean, it doesn't get much more consistent
(32:40):
than that they wanted in two thousand and then before
that it was nine with Larry Johnson. Um are Magic Johnson.
And you think this Michigan State team isn't as good
as they normally are because of that little dip, But
this is a team that won the Big Ten tournament
last year. They went went to the final four last
(33:02):
year and they had the exact same team. And you're
dead on when you say that they're experienced, because they are.
They're not as old as other teams are, so the
experience factor is not as deep. But the entire team
that was in the final four last year is back
(33:24):
like that is really important, and they've got a freshman
called named Rocket Watts who is going to be a
factor in the tournament. I love this, Aaron Henry Kidd.
We know we're getting with Winston and Tilman, junior and senior, experienced, elite,
as talented as it gets. There are no holes on
(33:44):
this team. And you guessed the line from Michigan State
Ohio State. I saw it. It was five and a half.
So it's moved a little bit. It's gone to Michigan
State's favorite six and a half, and I think that's
at Michigan State. Yeah. And and this is Winston's last
home game, last game at the Breslin Center. I've covered
games at the Breslan Center. It's about as raucous of
(34:06):
an environment as you're gonna get. It's very very emotional
in there for these types of games. Izo treats his
kids like if you if you watched tom Is on
the sidelines, you might think he hates these kids, like
he coached them really hard, you know, And he he
(34:26):
coaches them really hard. And as someone who has seen
both sides of that coaching spectrum, and I've been coached
hard and I've been coached soft in my life. Granted
it wasn't D one college, it was high school. But
I understand the mindset of a kid that's being coached
really hard, and I understand the mindset of a kid
(34:46):
that's probably not being coached hard enough. And if you
were to ask me now twenty years later, I prefer
being coached hard. I remember that those lessons resonate more.
And Winston's had four years of this and this has
been This is gonna be an emotional day for Cassius Winston.
He lost his brother to a tragic train accident a
(35:06):
week before the season started. That was a big reason
for their slump. They were a five team basically in
the Big Ten. They started out to picked in season
five and oh and then all of a sudden they
were eight and five, three and five stretch that really
cost them that elite level. And then they lost the
home game to Maryland on February and they haven't lost
(35:30):
since four straight Nebraska, Iowa, Maryland, Penn State, three of
those on the road, and I think they win today.
We'll see if they cover. This is gonna be an
emotional day for Cassius Winston senior final home game, lost
his brother this year. I actually think o'hi State plus
money early has some juice, and then and then look
(35:52):
to jump on look to jump on Michigan State if
if the Buckeyes get off to a good start, if
there's a little too much emotion early of this Michigan
State team. So that game starts at four thirty Eastern time,
and Ohio State right now is looking at their previous games.
So they just beat Illinois, they beat Michigan, they beat Nebraska,
they beat Maryland Iowa in February. I think these are
(36:17):
the two best teams in the Big Ten. I think
Michigan stay in Wisconsin. Yes, I think Wisconsin's probably gonna
be a tougher out because they're just so tough, and
Wisconsin's tough. Wisconsin's third. I think I think States played
really good. They want six or seven big wins. Maryland, Michigan,
(36:37):
Illinois like big, good games, good wins. Last one. Since
we have just about a minute Iowa Illinois today at
seven o'clock that I think that game. Actually, I want
to say, it's like it could be a close line.
Illinois and i were basically neck and neck right now.
Illinois's home, right, yeah, they'll be favored, But like I
(37:00):
like three in half so close, really locked in. Yeah,
that one's an interesting game too. It's it's a close
one and it means big ten is such a toss
up right now, it's insane to see all that how
much the seeding for the tournament can change. This weekend.
We're gonna touch more on all of these games coming
(37:21):
up next year on at the Windows. Stay tuned. Are

off the grid. Little segment about the window. Even though
(38:14):
Jared and I have got you covered for another two
hours as we switch over to Jared Block, Si, Ariel
and Jared Everything Show for the next two hours. The
Maryland Michigan game right now, Maryland's up sixty two fifty three.
Michigan came out firing out of the halftime, out of halftime,
and then we're kind of seeing a little bit of
a regression here. But as I stated before, I you
(38:38):
never can trust Maryland when they play a good half.
You have to think, oh God, that was their good
half and you missed it. Although they're up nine right now,
they should be coming back. They should cover this number.
The live totals down to one and a half. It's
drifting down to that territory of where we gave it
out at one three and a half. It could definitely
stay understill, and in fact, I think it. I think
(39:01):
it will stay under um. It was definitely an under
um that got too high. Whish I was in Jersey
right now, I'll be making so much money today. But
about Memphis, Houston up by three and Houston's now minus four,
and we nailed that one. I gave out Houston on
the money line at halftime. They were down at half,
they were down four and a half. They were basically
a pick them in the game, and I knew that
they were going to come back and win this game.
(39:23):
And it looks like they're going to uh Boston's in
a in a in a bit of a slug fest
with Bucknell. I don't think they're going to cover the
six and a half. I think they're gonna win the game. Um.
I actually think there might be a shred of value
if you can jump on them at five and a
half or four and a half. Right now, I do
think Boston wins that one. Yeah, that's not the borest
pick right now. Minus five and a half on Boston. Um,
I'm really intrigued by Minnesota Nebraska. So it's still in
(39:46):
the first half and it's thirty seven, the total reaching
as high at one seventy at the moment, I'm just saying,
I'm just intrigued by how high scoring that game is. Yeah,
Minnesota has been held down a lit a little recently.
I was on them over the weekend Gainst Indiana and
they missed it by the penny a hook basically lost
that pick by and Richard Pettino is a good coach.
(40:08):
They've had a rough year. The two rout kid is unbelievable.
He's gonna be a lottery pick, I think. And when
you have a player like that, And that's why I
was so frustrated with Pence Day yesterday because Lamar Stevens
should have just sliced and dice that bad Northwestern defense
and he just didn't. And I think that tells you
that something is really wrong because Northwestern is a really
(40:28):
bad defensive team and they got nothing against they got
nothing against against them yesterday. That says Maryland's going to
win by under ten under Well, yeah, well they're up
nine now, Mr Repstein. That's you know, that's like saying
I'm going to have dinner later, Like yeah, probably, that's
actually I don't know. I mean, you never know that
they went by double figures. You have dinner later. No,
(40:51):
I definitely want dinner later. I guess lunch is was
questionable around here. Lunch is a lunch is done. Lunches
question lunches, lunches day to day. Yeah, once you just
never know. Okay, so we got to the Pacers Mavericks
in the NBA, and now we have three games. No,
we have a bunch of more games left for you
to guess the line on the heater at the Wizards
(41:13):
MS stuff. So I know the late lines Actually no,
actually they've probably changed, so maybe we can still do
the NBA stuff. Yeah, let's do it. Let's do a
WI heat at Wizards um, definitely he will be favored.
But I know out of bio twenty points, I don't
want to give it away, but it's still my spotlight.
(41:36):
You need to Can we talk about your dollar hollars?
You need to plus to be like the baseline, like
you need plus. No, I get some I get a
little bit of leeway because my dollar hall is last
two weeks have been really high fair. They've been really
long shots. One of them was a really ridiculous one
(41:57):
triple double was ridiculous, it was, so I get a
little leeway. I've been trying to take some risks the
same way that some of your college basketball long shots
are long shots. So what that's what the dollar allows for. No,
I know that, but that's what I'm saying. They should
all be long shots like plus two nineties. Not enough
enough meat on that bone. I think I think it
(42:19):
is okay. I'm glad we had this talk. Okay, guess
the line heat minus three, no minus five, minus five,
heat minus five and a total to one, which is
kind of low for the Wizards, but that's because they're
playing the heat. He'd have been struggling on the road.
I think the heat have actually been a decent overteam recently.
(42:39):
I think that might be a fun little over there
in the heat. I think Auto Bio scores nineteen points
and the heat went. Honestly, that's gonna be what happened.
Let's be real, It'll be like eighteen points and he
like misses the push. Yeah, it'll be something that's really
irritating because that's the way that thinks have been going
(43:00):
for me. But that's in college basketball. College basketball has
been really irritating for me. And I know it was
college college basketball irritated me because I had Illinois plus
five and a half a couple of days ago, and
who are they playing again? Yeah, it was a house state,
and then plus five and a half and they played
a really bad five minutes at the end. And then
(43:21):
yesterday I had UNC Duke and until again the last
five minutes was like a Lockford Florida was up eighteen
with ten minutes to go and they lost by two
or one. That this is probably what's going to happen
to me. But that's but that's why, and this is
why I don't play a lot of games. This is
(43:42):
why I'm very selective with the games that I pick
and give out. I might give a pick for a
lot of games, and I'll have an opinion on every game.
But just because I have an opinion on a game
does not me and I'm putting my hard earned money
on them. I'll have a lot of like leans. But
the more games you play, the more you're vulnerable to
stuff like that. So my and I know you want
(44:05):
to play every game, and I get it. It's fun
to play every game, and you want to have a
pick on every game, So put like a dollar on
the game just to have something. Yeah, dollar, holler. But
for the games that you're really playing for your weight
and you have your bank roll, So say you have
a hundred dollar bank roll, you shouldn't be putting more
than one dollar on any game. If you have a
hundred dollar bank roll, one percent maybe if you feel
(44:28):
really strongly about a bet, you put five dollars on
the game. So the games that you really feel strongly
about need to be five to ten times more money
than what you just put on the average lean that
you wake up and want to have action on. You
think about it, there's a hundred games in college basketball.
If you bet half of them, that's half your bank roll.
(44:48):
If you put a dollar on each game, Like yeah,
I mean think there's sixteen games on the opening day
of the tournament. If you have a hundred dollar bankroll
and you put a dollar on each game, that is
s of your bankroll in one day. It could be
gone if you go oh in sixteen, which is rare,
but you never know. So money management at this time
of the year, where there's NBA, NHL, XFEL, all these
(45:11):
different props, NFL, who's playing where bank roll management and
which games you actually bet on compared to which games
you just have a lean on and have an opinion on.
Make that a definitive line and don't cross it. Don't
go on till it's hard it. Trust me, I've been there.
It's easier said than done. You just lost Virginia whatever.
(45:32):
They stink Florida, they blow a huge lead, they stink.
I want to make up for it by going double
on this next game. I got lucky last night because
a play came to Fruition that was like one of
those like rare plays with Washington on the money line
where I was like, they should not be laying this
many points to Washington. Washington is a really good team
(45:52):
and they're playing really well, and I had spread and
money line clearly won both. The money line was the
big one and it made up for the earlier bad day.
That's rare. That's rare that you get that. Usually when
you push late after a bad loss like that, after
a bad beat and you're on tilt, it goes the
other direction. So and you know, I practice what I
(46:16):
preach most of the time, and most of the time
I only play what I tweet out in terms of
what I put my money on, like what we talk
about every day, like, yeah, obviously we're not betting on
every game. Yeah, yeah, exactly what we feel strongly about.
We're gonna give out picks that we like, We're gonna
have opinions on games, but the ones that I feel
very strongly about, and I'm for my followers, you, I'm
(46:37):
pretty consistent. I will tweet out and I will screenshot
the line on Vanduel and I'll say play, and that's
how you know I'm actually putting my money on these games.
So we'll get to one of the games that we
actually I wouldn't say that we have action on, but
we're going to talk about that game at MSG later
on today. But the Magic are at the Rockets, and
(47:00):
there's no James Harden today, at least according to what
I was a little surprised at that. Um, I think
the I think the Rockets kind of know that they
need those two to be really healthy or else they
have no chance. And then the other day going what
was it he missed? I'm trying to remember he was
(47:22):
terrible from outside. He's had a couple of rough days
up for twelve or something like that. I like Westbrook
today against Orlando, but again, if there's no hard in,
you know, try to get on Westbrook's prop early because
it's probably gonna go up as we get closer to
game time. It's still relatively early in the day, probably
right around thirty. I meant, oh, I saw this earlier
(47:46):
because I was watching It's It's It's. It opened at
nine and it's eight now. Yeah, yeah, I was looking
at that earlier because I was gonna pick that. I
think that the Rockets pick up the win at home.
Now I did pick that from my dollar. I went
Westbrook triple double and Rockets wind. Now that's a Valhalla
right there. Oh that's risky, that's really risky. Well, he's
had eight this year. And if there's no Harden, he's
(48:06):
gonna be He's definitely gonna get the points and rebounds,
for sure. It's the assist that I'm worried about. Yeah,
that's but it's six. I think the Rockets are gonna
win the game because there Actually I was looking at
the other side of that too. I was looking at
Vuchovich either twenty or twenty five points and a magic
win was like plus eight hundred, which was also really risky. Yeah,
(48:28):
Rockets at home coming off back to back really bad losses,
three straight losses, three straight losses Clippers, and then the
game the other night. I forget who it was against,
maybe they maybe it was just two. I thought they've
lost three straight. It was a really bad loss to
the Clippers, and it was the loss of the Knicks.
I thought they've lost three straight. They could have. The
next one just stands out as bad. And then the
(48:50):
Clippers destroyed them, destroyed Houston. Yeah, the Clippers. The Clippers
exerted their will on and that was with Harden and Westbrook.
That was with Harden and Westbrook. The clip first for
the first time, made the Rockets small ball lineup look
very very small, very small. Yeah, I mean, how do
(49:10):
you see that playing out in the in the playoffs
with them playing essentially without a center. They lost to Charlotte.
It was three in a row. Bade Charlotte two really
bad lots, so they wanted to beat Boston on the
road in overtime. Great win. That was a Sunday show
that we were doing. It was last Sunday and since
then lost to the next, lost to the Clippers, lost
(49:32):
of the one. They just lost to the Hornet yesterday. Bad. Yeah, yeah,
it was yesterday. So the Rockets on a downtack so
they could join and say it, are you let me
have next? We'll talk more NBA, stay here, HIME live next. Oh,
