I want all of you to get up out of
your chairs. Let it go to the window. Open it
will stick your head out of hell. Welcome back to
at the Window on the Sports Grade TV Network. Up
Sean Gassamakia, Joe Ronary with me. We're gonna hit up
(00:49):
the R. Palmer Invitational. Rory McElroy on the field, he's
a betting favorite heading into round number three, which teas
off and this hour actually there in bay Hill Golf.
Of course, Joe is all over that we're gonna get
his thoughts on that we're gonna get Sean Angelos thoughts
on NASCAR another race this weekend, and good to see
Ryan Newman alive and well, and he was quoted as
(01:11):
saying that yesterday so good for him that he walked
away from that scary crash at the day one of
five hundred. I think we all could could applaud that
uh XFL coming up. It's week number five already, It's
going by fast. We'll get you set for the two
games on tap here today. But I want to start
Joe this hour with some baseball talk and Tim Tebow.
(01:31):
Tim Tebow, this guy won't stop. He was reassigned to
the minor leagues after going to and thirteen in spring
trainings thirty two years old. He had one forty eight
last year in the minor leagues? Can he give it
up already? Can he stop with this baseball dream? He's
taking a roster spot away from a kid who has
a dream, aspirations to make it to the major leagues,
who can benefit from the playing time. Can Tim Tebow
(01:54):
retire already? I'm tired of the story. It's always blasting
me in the face. Can he give it up? Already?
Joe one of the most just annoying individuals known to mankind.
I just you know his ideas that roster spot I
he is. I mean, I just I can't stand him
(02:15):
because I think he's a phony. I think, deep down
inside um, nobody is that pure. Guys nobody, especially a
guy that led a team that had a couple of
murderers on it and uh, you know, a racist and
everything else. So yeah, no, so Tim Tebow, trust me,
and heat may wash his hands clean with everyone else,
but there are some skeletons in that closet, but not
(02:37):
a baseball player. And the audacity and him to originally
think that the only reason he got fast tracked to
what he did was because he was Tim Tebow, not
because he's a great baseball player. And the one rule
of thumb that we always have into baseball is you
earn your way. If you're not a number one pick
overall in any draft, and you should, there are no
(02:58):
breaks you are going to get it. You have to
earn your way. He earned nothing on the baseball field,
and yet he has been taking up a roster spot
for a guy that's been doing it his whole life
the right way, you know, baseball was it. And then
Tim Tebow comes along to have a celebrity on the team,
like really, not because he's a baseball player, but because
(03:22):
he's a celebrity, that's why he's on the team. That's ridiculous,
absolutely ridiculous. I wish you'd already seen it for what
it is. You can't hit a car ball, you never could.
That's why you shouldn't be playing baseball, period. I don't
know what they're doing. I think they they're gonna squeeze
every last cent out of him, and then once it's done,
(03:42):
they're gonna move on. But he betted one sixty three
and seventies seven games at Triple A last year. I
don't even think he deserved to be in Triple A
after the numbers he put up in Double A. He
think the guy is not a baseball player. The Mets
at this point to here's the other thing, the business
side of it. Uh, if he makes it to the
Major's Joe in New York? In New York, do you
think that many people are running to the window to
(04:03):
buy a ticket to go see him play. I think
that his popularity has waned. It's been a while since
he played for the Denver Broncos, and that whole thing
with making the playoff run in that magical run that
he had there, it's been a long time. Do that
many kids really want to go see him see Team
Tebow play a baseball game at City Field? I don't
even think they can make money off him. At this point,
I think it's over. Let it go, get rid of
(04:24):
this guy already. Yeah, I agree, But unfortunately I don't
think that's Uh. I don't think that's gonna happen. I
think they're gonna continue, uh tid you just get every
cent they can. Tim Tebow, Yeah, marketing machine because obviously
it's not about winning games. They have no intention of
bringing him up ever, it's never this is Phil stands
(04:46):
in the minor leagues, make some money, their merchandise, and
that's it. They would eat him alive in major league
baseball at the major league level, absolutely eat him alive.
And uh, I just I just don't see it happening. Guys,
I don't see it happening. Let's talk about the other
New York team, Joe and I don't want to focus
on New York teams, but they keep making news here.
(05:07):
Aaron Judge broken rib out indefinitely now and this is
something that could have been diagnosed earlier, but the medical
staff there with the Yankees. Another blunder here, Aaron Judge
going to miss some time. What are your thoughts on that?
As a news broke yesterday, another guy going down for
the Bronx Bombers there. Um, listen, I've broken ribs before
(05:30):
and I knew it, like I know it pretty quickly. Um,
I don't know what the hell these doctors are doing
for the Yankees. Like for you, Kennedy, you couldn't figure
out Savarino needed Tommy John surgery. You couldn't figure out
he had a broken rib the entire time. Like I
don't understand the medical team for the New York Yankees.
(05:52):
I have no idea what the hell they're doing. It's
kind of mind blowing to me. It's a little scary too,
so at the same time you take it with a
rain of salt because you never know, you know what
the real story behind. Sometimes would baseball, they have a
great way of covering things up, But if a guy's
got a broken rib um, you probably should have been
(06:13):
the first place your look, knowing what the symptoms were
heading up to it mind blowing to and now surgery
is possibly on the table. It just blows me away,
absolutely blows me away. The ineptitude of the doctor and
the medical staff of the New York Yankees. I'm with
you as well. I think someone's gonna pay with a
job there the half to at this point with too
(06:33):
many mistakes being made. I was looking at Fandel at
the wind total for the New York Yankees we talked
about in a couple of weeks ago was one on
one and a half I believe. Then it went down
to one and a half right over under. They've pulled it.
They've pulled the prop. I can't find it. Joe on
a Finders, Yes, I don't know. If you have a
book out there. They pulled it. Yeah, yep. Yeah, it
(06:56):
doesn't surprise me. I mean, it probably shouldn't surprise any
of us because the fact that, yeah, they they've been
through this last year. You can't keep having stars, big
names like that go down without there being some sort
of market adjustment there. So I'm not ready to fade
the Yankees yet in any way, shape or form, especially
(07:16):
knowing how deep their farm system is. They got this
kid Garcia that they can bring up. They are and
when you can spend money they are in the market,
they'll go out and get a you know, Yakamoto. They'll
go get one of these kids in Miami with a
great arm. They'll make a deal with with Mattingly and uh,
you know, Jeter there to bring them up. Something is
(07:38):
going get done. You'll know when the Yankees feel they're desperate,
they'll make a move and you will know it. In
the meantime, I think they got plenty in the farm
system and what they have to be able to weather
to storm here early on in the season. Yeah, I
agree with you. I hope that one person that they
do acquire as far as pitching depths concerned, it is
(07:59):
not Stephen matt from the New York Matts. For He's okay,
but I don't it's not gonna happen. So I just
don't want to waste time. The New York Matts and
New York Yankees they don't make deals, so I mean,
let's stop wasting our time talking about that. But the
Yankees have, um, Brian Cashman has made some great deals
of late. So Luke Whitney got for nothing, uh just
to name one there. Um, So they'll make some deals.
(08:21):
They do have some depth in but that depth was
really came ill be huge last season. Like we Talkman
coming in and or Shella. I don't know if the
Yankees can rely on those guys to you know, punch
above their weight class so to speak again this season.
But the fact that the Red Sox are giving up
and waving the white flag by trading Mookie Betts and
(08:41):
and David Price, Uh, they don't have much of a
threat there. Besides the Rays and two teams can make
the playoffs easily out of the A L E. So
I don't think the Yankees are threatened there. So they'll
take their time and wait to see what happens with
Judge and Stanton, So not too concerning. So looking at
the wind prop I was I wanted to see how
much Van Do would drop them, because I still still
think they'll win. Nine people escapes Joe. The Yankees. Yes,
(09:02):
absolutely again it's the Yankees. And we watched no team
and forever that I can remember, went through as many
injuries as the Yankees did, not just half a season,
a full season, and all they showed us there was
there was a reason why Cashman built the farm system
up from the bottom up and worked it up. There.
(09:23):
These what he's got going on there, the reason why
he didn't trade Clint Frasier. Guys, there's a reason why
he's kept some guys out of the pros, and it's
for moments like this and I do think that you
are going to see as the season starts here, you'll
know Cashman. When Cashman feels like, oh crap, we're in trouble,
that's when the stories will come out where he's willing
(09:47):
to put some chips on the table here and go
out and get something sooner rather than later. But until
that point, you know, listen, don't be shocked if c
C shows up in uniform at some point during this
season too and throws a apple landings. They did mention
that that's funny you mentioned CC because people were bringing
(10:07):
him up, and I guess he tores a c L skiing,
So I guess, C What is he doing skiing? What? What?
I can't what does CC doing skiing? He doesn't seem
like he has the body to be skiing at his age,
at thirty nine years old, I don't know. He looked
really warm down when he retired the problem. I can't
that's why you're you go so he's out right, No,
(10:34):
it didn't work out there, But you know, I wanted
to pick up that hobby as well. But I've been told,
you know, since very dangerous, first of all, and that's
no laughing matter. And I'm not really. I don't really.
I'm not really good on my feet, like you know,
I'm not really well balanced. So I don't think going
on ice with with skis is the smart thing to do,
especially thought, so I'm not gonna do it. And after
(10:55):
learning about c c uh no, I'm not doing that.
But we want to get to the west wind totals.
So yeah, yeah and I yeah, no, no, absolutely not no.
We were meant to have rollers, you know, wheels on
our feet. We would have been that way. It's just
not gonna happen. Guys, I'm out that that is true.
(11:17):
It just looks like a lot of fun. But I
wanted to get to the A L West wind totals.
Maybe we'll do that when we come back from break.
The Angels of the first team, I wanted to look
at first here, Joe, they have their wind total on
Fendel Sports Book at eighty five and a half. We
know the big sign was Anthony Rendon there Um at
third base there for the Anaheim Los Angeles Angels. There
(11:41):
Phols somehow still playing at first base with that huge contract,
but he hasn't been viable for a couple of years
justin up then, still there Joe, we know about Mike
Trout Simmons at shortstop to have a lot of great
star power there with the Angels bus do we think
they'll go over eighty five wins or under? Joe? We
(12:01):
have fifteen seconds, so keep your answer. We'll come back.
You say yes, all right, we'll come back. We'll get
more into that turn here all right at the window
on the Sports grade TV network. Over for the Angels
eighty five and a half, Joe said to. Will explain
why next I want to be the next Daily Fantasy Millionaire.

(13:05):
he's loving this song. He loves to play Britney Spears,
of course, he kids. But we have a lot of
fun with Seawan Angle his reel name, and he will
join us for the NASCAR segment coming up about half
an hour from now. But want to get back to
MLB win totals in the A L West. We're burying
the lead. We'll get to the Houston nashvillees. Don't worry.
(13:25):
That's a lot of fun. Let's start with the Elie
Angels eighty five and a half, Joe, you said over
that wind total. They have Andrew Heeney, Julio Tehran, Dylan
Bundy there in the rotation when Anthony reyn don't and
the starters in the Uh. The position of players that
I mentioned with Trout, pull Holes and all those big
names you're saying over eighty five and a half in
a tough division. Yeah, you know a couple of things
(13:47):
that play here. Otani's healthy again, he'll be back in
the not only starting rotation, but of course in that line. Yeah,
of course get him. He's legit, guys, and he's legit
both pitching and behind the plate. So I do think
that adds another arm uh. And also don't sleep on
(14:10):
the fact that that Joe Madden is now the manager
of the Angels, been a manager of fourteen years in
Major League baseball, guys, and just five of those fourteen
years has he ever managed teams that won less than
eighties six games. So he's got more talent on this
team than many, many, many, many other teams, certainly in
(14:31):
the in the American League. And you know, Madden, they're
pulling the strings getting those guys to believe healthy Otani
and you mentioned Ran don't protecting Trout now in that
order with Otani. Yeah, even poll host can add in
a little something there. I think it's an easy, easy
over eighty five wins here this year for the Angels.
(14:53):
It's always been about starting pitching with them up. They
got a little bit better here in this offseason, a
little more concidered in. But you gotta be able to
mash and I think they're gonna be able to put
up runs with the best of them now. Yeah, I
think the manager is very important, and yes, show hey,
Otani is the legit is the real deal. One rookie
of the year and continues to hit well last year.
(15:14):
And we'll see when he gets back on the mound.
They're gonna protect him a little bit there, the Angels will.
But they won seventy two last year, you're thinking they'll
make more than a thirteen wind jump. I'm with you.
They're gonna go over eighty five and a half wins.
You mentioned all the factors there. Maddon is a big
key as the manager, and with the talent that they
have with Rendon now, Uh, yeah, they look like a
(15:35):
legit playoff team. So I'm going over eighty five and
a half wins. Houston Astros hundred seven wins last year.
We all know what happened there, Joe with Houston Astro's
this off season, lost Garrett Cole, They all the old
cheating scandal there, how much without effect the guys. Uh
this season no more A j Henchi is out, Dusty
Baker is in. Do they go over their win total?
(15:56):
Ninety four and a half? Fandel has them at right now,
Joe over under for the Houston Astros. Yeah, A lot
is going to depend on the personality of the Houston Astros.
And what I mean by that is will they embrace
be in the villain? Will they embrace being a villain
(16:19):
this year? If they do, if we do see Altuve
and Springer and guys, you know, uh, you know, Altuve
getting a walk off double or something and ripping his
shirt off. Do will we get Springer? Will we get
the back flips? Will we get these guys going screw
all of you? You know what I mean? You want
to see who we are? Will show you all if
(16:40):
that happens, If they if they stop caring, and I
don't know that they ever did, but if they're okay
with being a villain this year and being booed, and
they're gonna be booed, it's gonna be brutal throughout the
season on the road for them, then they're gonna win
more than ninety four games. Guys, they are going to
win more than ninety four games if they get caught
up in it, if it's bothering them, if they you know,
(17:03):
guys that go on you know over twelve streaks and
uh and the and they're on a road trip, it's
it would be under the ninety four for me. But
I'm not too sure. I think the personality of this team.
I think what they have shown thus far not very contrite.
I think they're gonna embrace being the villains. I think
they're gonna be okay there. They want to shove it
(17:25):
to everybody, and you know what, they got, they got
the staff, and they have the players in order to
be to win night more than games. To me, it's
about the personality. If they adapt that Scorch starts screw everybody,
We're gonna win a hundred games and stick it to you.
They're gonna win a hundred games and stick it to everybody.
(17:46):
I'm with you, Joe. I think it's gonna be right
at the number, though. I don't think they will get
quite to a hundred. But with the players that they have,
and they're adults and they're motivated, they're tough guys. You
can see. I mean they're kind of cocky. Even with
this whole cheating scandal right now, the hundred percent, you know,
forgiveness now, they don't really like I was trying to
brush it off. For Lander, we might see some regression.
(18:08):
I mean, he's getting up there in age, but he's
still going to be very good. You've got Zach Greggy
for a full year now. Lands mcculor's is back. I know,
they lose Garrett Cole and then they got that kid. Uh,
that kid who's pitching the World Series at young kid Jose, Uh,
you're quitty, You're quitty, I think is he's a flamethrower.
He's he's a prospect, right, very good player. They got
sooner closing it, they'll be fine. They're gonna go over, Yeah,
(18:31):
they do, They'll go over. Dusty Baker knows what he's doing.
Just come playoff time, Dusty does not. But come playoff time, Dusty,
I'm betting against him. But in the regular season he
puts it up. Uh as far as wind totals concerned,
So I'm with you, Joe. Uh, it's a good it's
a good division Alright, Oakland Athletics, Joe, we're gonna go
over or under this wind total coming up this year.
I'm gonna grab it for you real quick. Let me
(18:52):
just get the most accurate one for you here, Vanduel
Sports Book. Here it is eighty nine and a half.
They won nineties seven game last year. I mean Oakland
with that small payroll continued, continues to get it done.
What do you make of the Oakland Athletics eighty nine
and a half over under this season? You have got
to be absolutely crazy if you're fading the Oakland a's
(19:15):
how many more times do we have to go into
a season where they rattle off ninety plus wins and
their total is in the seventies or the eighties. Because
everyone thinks it's all klann. They're not gonna be anybody.
It's ridiculous how undervalued Oakland continues to be. And that
what do you got him at eighty nine? Now? What
at eight eighty nine? Yep? Eighty nine. Yeah, there are
(19:39):
ninety win team. Guys, they are you gonna tell me
this team which is pretty much the same damn team
we just watched only a year better. Um, you're gonna
tell me this is not a ninety win team. Somehow,
do not fall into that same trap. And while the Angels, yes,
they're going to be better. Uh, and while they still
got to go to Houston, to me, the only team
in this in this division that's gonna be able to
(20:02):
take down the Astros is the Oakland A's. To me,
this is another null brainer. Take the over here. Pitching
staff good? Uh. The the lineup is filled with Masters
Chapman at third base. All they do is win games
and nobody gives them any credit. Give me the Oakland
A's to win more than eighty nine games. Yeah, they
(20:22):
continue to get it done, right, I mean Chris Davis
comes over from the Brewers and he only hits like
forty home runs every season. There he strikes out a lot,
but doesn't matter. Uh. Chapman, as you mentioned, might be
the best all around third baseman in the league with
his defense, Olson at first base, send me in at
shortstop and rotation wise, if they could get anything out
of Luzzatto, their their young prospect, they're gonna be tough
(20:44):
to beat. And ninety wins seems doable for me. So
I'm all in on that. So we gotta pick it
under team then, Joe, we keep going over in this
in this division? Will it be the Texas Rangers. They
won seventy eight last season. This year their total is
at seventy eight and a half, so it's right on
that number. Looking at their rotation to get Colory Cooper Cluber,
Corey Kluber from the Cleveland Indians Miners there, Lens Lynn
(21:08):
is there in the rotation, Kyle Gibson, the Lyles, I mean,
not great depth once you get past the Ason Cluber,
but looking around the infield kind of you know, Joey Gallo,
Odor Gooseman to Niro so Todd Fraser's there. I don't
really like this line. I'm gonna go under. I'm going
(21:29):
under seventy eight and a half wins. Yeah, I mean
Lesson Cluber is a great anchor to a rotation that, um,
you know you got minor, you know you had you
had some guys last year that were a good story.
They got some mashers on that team too. They got
a brand new ballpark they're opening up this year. They
won seventy eight and seventeen. I think they won sixties
(21:52):
seven and two thousand eighteen. They followed it up with
seventy eight wins a year ago. They're total is seventy
nine and a half. Are they much better than what
they wore last year? Kluber certainly. House mccloober has also
been a little injury grown there. So to me, the
numbers about where it should be. I in a hundred
and sixty two game season, I would, uh, you know,
(22:15):
I would lean to the under here that more things
in a new ballpark go wrong, uh than go right
for them. So I do think they're about a seventy
eight win team again, So I don't think much is
going to change for the Rangers. So I would definitely
lean under. Yeah, I just think Canna approved division with
the Angels, namely, and Oakland's not going anywhere. Houston might
(22:36):
regress a little bit, but they're still right there into
hundred wins. Uh So, I think seventy eight is a
good number, not seventy six. That's tough. I mean, did
they make these these uh decisions? Tough? Here? All right?
One last one in the a L West. The Seattle
Mariners rebuilding of course last year. Sixty eight wins their
number on Fandal sports book, Joe. The Seattle Mariners sixty
(22:58):
six and a half, so very low their rotation, I
mean gone, King Felix is gone. He's he's he's he's
over there. There's was run there as a Mariner. Wasn't
doing anything last year anyway. But you look around this
this infield, I mean Seeger Seegar has been there a
long time. But a lot of young names, I mean
guys Crawford, JP Crawford, We've heard about him in the
(23:19):
Philadelphia Phillies minor league system. He's their shortstop now, long
junior there at second base. A lot of young kids
getting playing time here. Sixty six and awful low number, though, Joe,
do they lose a hundred again, I mean, are we
gonna go that much lower than that? Uh? I will
tend to lean under. I'm not going to be on
(23:40):
the fence though. I'll go under. It's a little total,
but I'll go under just because they're rebuilding and I
don't see a lot of promise here with the young
kids here for this year. Yeah, sixties seven and a half,
sixty eight and opened up in a lot of places.
It's been backed down obviously to sixty six. They got Sheffield,
of course, you know that's they got a lot of
a lot of hype going with him, expecting him to
(24:03):
have a big year. But the problem is when everybody
else in your division, when everybody else gets better, like
like what we've seen here, um, and you don't, than
chances are you're gonna lose a few more games than
you did last year. And I think that's where it's at.
They they're step up off a triple A team. I
don't see them. I see them losing a hundred. I
(24:26):
don't see him winning anywhere close to seventy games. So
I would go under with Seattle. Smart play there, Joe,
I agree with you. With the Seattle Mariners, we'll continue
the win totals will go to the National League next week.
We'll do to UH divisions just to make up some
time for a last week. But when we come back
XFL week five, we'll look at that Auto Palmer invitation
(24:47):
as well. Well. Rory McRoy get it done. I want

All right, welcome back. As Sean Angel continuing with the
Britney Spears music. I like it. I like It's a
car tune, late nineties, right right right, It's hard wind
and fire, damnitey stop most stop Britney Spears. Come on,
(25:54):
she covered that song. You don't remember she covered it
in the nineties. You know you don't about you, Brittany, Well,
we're not giving Britney Spears credit for an earth Wind
and Fire song. Just give an earth Win and Fire
the credit. What's wrong with you? Alright? Do you really
think I didn't know that come of stuffing? Alright? Never
written even read close something like that. She's never written
(26:19):
anything like that. She puts on a great performance though.
I gotta give her that, right. She's doing something right
because she's making a lot of money. Exactly, exactly, all right,
Joe Arnold Palmer Invitational. What do you think here? Uh?
T Rel Hatting there in the lead. Can he close
(26:40):
this out? Rory McRoy still the betting favorite to plus
two fifty on Fandel Sports Book there in Atlanta, Florida. Uh,
he's want two strokes behind. Uh last time I checked here.
But he's red hot. I mean it's six top five finishes. Uh,
he's he's the better favorite. Is he your favorite to
to to win this tournament? Yeah? Yeah, he still is.
I mean, uh, he loves this golf course. He's in
(27:02):
great form and nothing against the Arrell Hatton or you
know King, But the reality is the hell of you
guys one. I mean this guy is in perpet I
mean great form right now for this time of year
a golf course. He's very familiar with. You watch them
go out in round one of course and uh and
shoot five under. To me with what do you got,
(27:26):
maziamor up there, Graham McDowell, some of the some of
the older guys. It's mcaroy was the odds on favorite
to win this and it wasn't even close. He was
He was like four or five to one going into
the tournament. The nets closest was in double digits. So
he's the favorite for a reason. And come Sunday, if
he's within striking distance or the lead, I don't see
(27:47):
him giving it up. And I would be looking over
my shoulder every chance I got. Rory to me, still
got a great opportunity to win this tournament and and
all likely will win this tournament. It's he's not gonna
get beat up by Tyrrell Hatt And I can tell
you that. Yeah. I mean, do you have a backup
plan though? Other if Rory does not win this tournament?
(28:08):
Is there like a sleeper maybe like a long shot
who or someone that's in the middle there that we
can make some good money here, I'm looking at the
list Ricky Fowler's sixty to one on how much faith
do you have? And Ricky Fowler who else? Who else? Uh?
Jumps out at you here. Patrick is a guy, He's
even ye. Mattsw Yama is definitely a guy too that
(28:30):
you you should take a look at. His ball striking
has been fantastic. The problem with Matzi Yama has been
his putting. It always is, this is a guy that
should have five or six p G eight our wins
by now, and he doesn't. But the ball striking is there.
If the putter gets hot here between today and tomorrow,
you can count on him being in a top three,
(28:51):
top four situation. And he is, um what is he at?
Thirty thirty one, thirty to one, somewhere around those lines.
So he's a guy that I would keep an eye on.
If he can throw a big number up here today
and that putter gets going for him, he could be
there for sure, you could. It could be a big number.
But the chalk always wins this. I mean, that's really
(29:12):
what happens with bay Hill. The Honda last week is
where we get the bombs, but the bay Hill is
usually the Rory Mcarroys, the you know, the the five
or six to ones usually end up pulling this off one.
I just looked it up there at Matsuyama, so that's
that's a great value. There should be a lot of fun. Yeah,
(29:34):
should be a lot of fun paying attention to it.
But you're saying Rory mcroych is your favorite here as
as plus two trade marksman, I don't know what those
guys are at. Reid certainly has already won Leishman's already
one in the last month. Two guys that have already
won tournaments this year who are striking the ball really
really well. I don't know if they're gonna have enough
(29:56):
to be able to catch Rory, but it wouldn't surprise
me at all. Where if we're talking a top three
for both of those guys. Yeah, reads at ten to
one right now, in twelfth one for Leischman. So uh,
for those of you wondering out there, all right, we'll
take a we'll keep an eye on that one, alright.
XFL Week five, Joe, and I'm enjoying the league. It's
a lot of fun. Despite the TV ratings coming down
(30:18):
a little bit, but that was to be expected, no surprise.
Still averaging a million viewers per contest and that that's
well on par with college basketball this time of year.
So very successful so far as far as I'm concerned.
Attendance a little bit low for I think the expectation
except for in St. Louis and in Seattle. They'd like
to see Moore in l a New York. But all
(30:40):
things considered, I think with the weather in New York
and the play of the Guardians quite frankly up until
last week where they got their second victory, uh, still
was not very pretty, I think. I think the XFL
is doing very well all right. First game on tap,
Seattle Dragons down to eleven and a half at the
Houston Roughnecks. Houston Roughnecks the only unbeaten team left the
(31:00):
XFL at four and oh P J. Walker, Uh, we
know all about him, the odds on favorite to win
m v P. The highest scoring offense in the league.
They also give up the most points per game to Houston. However,
at fifteen and a half Seattle Joe, they made a change.
There would be J. Daniels expected to to get the
Lion's share of the snaps here over Brandon Silver's. He
(31:21):
relieved Silver's in second half last week put up fourteen
points through for a hundred yards rush for eighty four.
Joe you remember him from South Florida. He was the
dual threat quarterback there eight years ago. Now I was
a while ago, but he could play. And in this
league you need mobile quarterbacks. I like the Seattle Dragons.
Give me now it's at eleven. Joe keeps getting back down.
(31:42):
It opened at thirteen, it's now at eleven. The Roughnecks
favorite by eleven points. But give me the points. I'm
taking the Dragons. So betting against the the number here
for exit bolt Us far through four weeks has been
u been a daunting task. Most teams are two and
two against the number heading into week five here and
(32:02):
Houston outside of that. First, you know, the Unders have
obviously been the most profitable bet through the first four weeks.
The totals have really been where to go and focus on.
But you're talking about a Houston team that everyone says
power rankings wise number one, they should be at the top,
but they're They're only blowout came I think in Week
(32:22):
one when they played l A who was starting a
backup quarterback. Then since then, I'm I can't I don't
see them having won a game by more than a
touchdown in any of them. So thirteen points. I mean, listen,
Seattle is not great the Dragons, but you talked about
how they made the quarterback switch here, I don't. I
(32:44):
haven't seen them lose. What's the biggest loss that they've
have here? I don't see anything even close. They've only
let's see uh double digits. I don't see anything here
telling me that this is a team that has lost.
You've got Houston hasn't one by more than seven, and
you've got a team that's never lost by more than
(33:04):
uh ten. So I don't to me have the number
of the value is in backing Seattle here, giving them enough.
Houston's just not doing what everybody thinks they're going to do,
so they're gonna win, But not me. I I don't
see how this number comes into play here. So I
would definitely go Seattle. And last week we saw how
(33:26):
they shut down Kim Phillips uh, the star wide receiver
for the Roughnecks, only one reception for nine yards. Now,
the Roughnecks still won the game, but there's a game
plan now where double team Kim Phillips let everyone else
try to beat you there. We'll see if Seattle could
make them pay here and implement that game plan. But yeah,
I double digits. When it opened up a thirteen, I
(33:48):
ran to the window show. To be honest with you,
I'm like, wow, this is a crazy number because and
it wasn't announced that Daniels was going to start. You know,
the coy Jim Zorne, the head coach at Seattle, they
always coy with that, but it was obvious that he
was gonna get more playing time, if not starting, that
should be the plan today. So yeah, I'm all over that.
What about the total? I mean, unders are are the
play in the XFL games forty seven and a half
(34:11):
a large number. Their Roughnecks number one story team in
the league. They put up points. They also give up
a lot of points too, But I still like the under.
I'm afraid to go over in this league at this point,
I would only look at the over to tell you
the truth. At this particular point where I do think. Listen,
they they're averaging thirty one and a half points per game.
(34:32):
The Roughnecks, right, they got a very aggressive passing attack.
They're gonna throw the ball, you know, they throw I
think on seventy they have a seventy percent past play raid.
So they're throwing the ball and they can go up
and down the field, and I do things like you said,
the Dragons, they're getting better. They're getting better and better
and better. I don't think you're gonna need an awful
(34:53):
lot from the Dragons for this to hit the over here.
The roughnecks three and one to the over and if
Dallas hadn't fumbled the ball laid on a three yard line,
they'd probably be four and oh to the over here.
And yeah, I think with the improvement of Seattle and
what Houston does anyway, give me the over here at
forty seven and a half. All right, we disagree on
(35:15):
that one. I just I'm not playing the total. I
don't want to play totals in the XFL anymore. I've
been burned so many times and a half that number. Yeah,
so Seattle hasn't scored more than twenty points yet the game,
but we know Houston's averaging thirty one. You don't need
him to score twenty to hit the over right, all right,
I'll just I I think we'll see a little regression
(35:37):
though with Houston the way they played last week with
cam Phillis being shut down, and and then the league
is starting to catch up to to PG Walker a
little bit in that offense, so I'm banking on that
with Seattle a pretty decent defense there. Um alright, second game,
real quick, Gardians to Louis Perez should start. Matt mcloydan's
getting more snaps for some reason. He's getting healthy during
(35:59):
the week. But Luis Press should start there for the Guardians.
At the Dallas Renegades, no Landry Jones, he's a turnover
machine anyway, Joe. And now they have Philip Nelson that
week one starter who dinks and dunks all over the field.
But that's kind of what how mummy It's offense is
right now with the artists the pain out of the backfield,
Lance Dumber out of the backfield to very very good
(36:20):
catch receiving backs. So that being said to spread his
six points Renegade's favorite in this one, Joe, we have
less than a minute. We'll get back into it on
the other side. But what's your gun here? And who
are you going within this second game tonight? Under Under?
You gotta be kidding me. I don't give a crap
(36:42):
you're walking if they get twenty eight points in this game,
give me the under in this matchup. You know that,
but now I don't. Thirty seven is awfully low, and
as I said, I'm afraid to bet overs in this
in this league. But Philip Nelson though for all of
like I guess the Martin, he's been marginalized, but he
doesn't turn the football over. Landry Jones turns it over
(37:02):
like three ties the game and the Renni gets still
wind up winning. So I think they'll they'll put the
points up on the board. Joe, I think there'll be
some points in this game. I'm gonna go over thirty seven.
I don't want to do it, but you kind of
go to me into it all? Right back with more
right after this at the window to stay with us?
Are you ready for the nation's first and only free,

(37:44):
to serve you the fanatic. This is Sports Grade. Get
on the grid, Welcome back to At the Window. Rapid
(38:05):
things up here. I am showing Walsom. I'll be here
on the Sports Grade TV network, Pluto TV channel five seventeen.
Thanks for tuning into At the Window. Joe Roinary final
segment here and before we left for the commercial break,
you kind of got me there. You know, thirty seven
is so low, Joe, and I think Philip Nelson, well,
and you're like Pat theer bet the under and and
(38:26):
and you're right to bet the under in these XFL
games because that's the trend. But thirty seven it's it's
it's like a big ten, like Michigan State this previous
season against Illinois. It's something like it's that's the kind
of total we're looking at. That's how low it is.
It's like so enticing you want to grab it. I
was gonna stay away, but I talked myself into it
kind of when you were talking about I think Nelson
(38:47):
could put up some points with his running games offense.
He played Week one. He's not Landew Jones, but Landry
Jones wasn't throwing the football down the field anyway, and
he was turning the football over. But you need to
in order to be able to hit overs, you need
quarterbacks and teams that can throw the ball. We know
New York cannot throw the ball, and we know that
Nelson's averaging five yards one attempt so far, and he
(39:13):
is um. They don't throw the ball a lot, and
they don't throw it down field. So to me, this
is going to be played right in the center of
the field. This is gonna be just a absolute disgusting
game to have to watch. I don't know. The Guardians
averaging uh in their games, thirty point thirty combined points.
The Guardians games are averaging the least amount of points
(39:35):
this year, thirty combined points at game. And then the
Renegades are averaging thirty seven and a half combined points
per game, the lowest. So I got a team that
plays in games the averages at thirty one, that's at
thirty seven. Meet me in the middle and let's say
thirty four. I don't see how this gets to the
over right, all right, But New York did move to football.
(39:58):
Luis Perez a quarterback last week. It was much better
than Matt mcgloyan. They actually moved to bolt score. They
put up seventeen points in one, right, I don't like them.
I'm taking the Renegade. There's that got to do with anything.
It's got nothing to do with anything. What are you talking?
First question, Louise Press is a quarterback for once. They
(40:19):
finally got an XFL quarterback that's competent. Mcgloyd was awful
for this New York Guardians marks, are you taking the Renegades?
I was gonna say, I'm taking the Renegades because on
the road, I don't believe in the Guardians their own
two on the road, they've been blown out. So I
think the better bet is the Renegades. Mine is six.
But as far as a total, since you got me
(40:41):
into it, I'm gonna go over because that's a low total,
and the Guardens will all right, yeah you are, You're
gonna get me. All right, let's go. We'll see what happens.
We'll see what happen. But I'm going with the Renegad's
mine is six. I'm going with the Dragons plus thirteen.
It's down to plus eleven. I'll still grab my plus
all even points there in the first XFL game. All right, Joe,
(41:03):
we do this every week. We like to talk NASCAR,
and it heads to Phoenix Raceway as they wrap up
their West Coast swing there. Let's get the proper name
of the uh grace. It's the fan Shield five hundred
race there at Phoenix Race Way. Had to break it
all down. We welcome in once again, producer, Seawan Angle
(41:32):
at the window stop. Alright, Sean Angle there, it's the
pit stop right here and at the window I love it.
I love the engines firing there, Sean Angle, welcome back in.
Al right, handicap this race for us? Who's winning the race?
(41:54):
Here with on Sunday at three thirty pm Eastern time.
Give us some long shots. Give us what you think
right now? How does this race play out? What do
you think is gonna happen tomorrow? As far as this
race is concerned, First things first, we're under a brand
new rules package for these shorter attracts. This is gonna
be the first ever race that they're gonna be able
(42:14):
to utilize this, So there is still not exactly a
lot of history we can fully lean on as far
as being able to tell how this race is gonna go.
But based on history. Though, just as far as the
track type is concerned, though, we still have a bunch
of strong options here and right now if we look
back towards recent practices, the two drivers to beat right
(42:36):
now as far as on the speech charts are concerned
are Kevin Harvick, who is the Desert King and most
successful driver of all time at Phoenix, and Brad Kezlowski,
who has just been killing it as far as long
run speeds are concerned. So I got a couple of
(42:57):
guys here that I got a couple of guys here,
let me tell me your thoughts on uh, Denny Hamlin,
Martin True x Jr. And Chase Alliot. Three guys here
that maybe in some matchup opportunities to they might be
worth throwing a couple of bucks on. As based on
these drivers, the one I like best out of all
(43:18):
these guys is Denny Hamlin. He's been showcasing some top
five speeds and he is the most recent winner at Phoenix,
winning the November race last year. And Toyota has been
particularly very strong in recent races at this track, winning
the last three races. Now. Kyle Busch won two of
the last three in Hamlin, he won the race last November.
(43:39):
But when you think about these other drivers, true X,
he was looking very strong throughout practices, but he is
gonna be dealing with a big obstacle as just recently
the news came out that he's making an engine change
to his car. So no matter where he qualifies, after
qualifying wraps up later today, he's gonna be starting from
the rear, and start from the rear at a smaller
(44:01):
track like Phoenix, it's gonna be very hard to recover.
It is possible it has happened before, but it certainly
does not make me highly recommend true X right off
the bat, unless you're playing dfs like that. And what
about give me a bomb here? Somebody actually had told
(44:22):
me Austin Dillon as a possible bomb from from the
clouds here, I think a hundred and thirty two one
somewhere along noose lines. What do you what do you
think about this kid, Austin Dillon. Austin He's sure had
his share of fair share of results before. But if
we're gonna be talking about long shots though that actually
have a good chance of scoring a pretty high finish,
(44:44):
we may want to look into some of these rookie
competitors who have been looking very strong throughout practices as well,
in particular Cold Custer, who showcase the tenth best ten
consecutive lap average speed in final practice. And he is
a very cheap DFS play as well too, So there's
a lot there. And he's writing in Stewart Haes racing equipment.
(45:06):
We cannot forget about that. And you know who else
is in Stewart has racing equipment for those that are
not familiar with NASCAR. Kevin Harvick, who has discussed earlier
the Desert King and the most successful driver as far
as this track is concerned. And if you could lean
on Kevin Harvick in order to score good finish here,
then yeah, certainly can do so. I think Cold Custer,
(45:28):
if all goes well in his cards today, he could
actually be able to fulfill in particular like a top
five finish bet or a podium finished bet pretty nicely today.
This week I say, hey, Sean, what about Jimmy Johnson
to one on Fendal sports Book to win this on
Sunday the fanshield five hundred? Can he turn back the
(45:48):
hands of time? Can he pull it off and win
at one. I don't think Jimmy is gonna win this race,
but I certainly see that he is gonna be solid enough.
Just I don't think he's gonna be that amazing, but
he's not gonna be bad that bad either. When you
look as far as some of the other drivers are concerned,
you may want to think of somebody else like Eric Almarola,
(46:10):
for example, who was fifth and the ten consecutive Laft
average speeds and he's been up for from top five
finishes as far as some of the prop bets are concerned,
So that is another driver that we can consider who
is able to be able to deliver some results as
far as making us some money this week. Here too, Joe,
(46:32):
you have anything else, I'm I'm just hitting. I'm taking
all of these plays again. I help you ask we
don't win some money here, Tom tell you that right
now I'm playing yea, no, no, I think thank you
(46:59):
read stuff. I'm gonna mention just one more thing here
that um another long shot. Well, two more long shots
that can deliver some solid finishes also are Met de
Benedetto and uh Tyler Reddick, who is another one of
the rookies that also has looked solid for the price
on DFS wise too and in uh final practice here.
(47:20):
So if we want to get some of these long
shot guys in here, this is not a bad track
to do it, as this track has snapped some long
winless streaks of drivers before and has even had its
share of surprise drivers end up having some pretty strong
results as well. But we still have to keep an
eye on qualifying just so we can know the final
piece of the puzzle and know who absolutely we should
(47:43):
a locked in because nothing is guaranteed until we know
that fact here. But as far as being able to
find where you can find me, you can follow me
at shawnee two four seven on Twitter, or you can
read my stuff at rohto bowler dot com where I
have a lot of dfsp is and I'm gonna have
my rankings there later on two days, So do you
(48:04):
keep an eye on that So that way, if you're
a fantasy player, you can know who to start, who
to leave in the garage, and then we could just
move on and in the end we're all gonna be
winning money that way too. Yes, we want to win money.
That's that's the point of this whole thing. All right,
love it. Yeah, thank you, Sean. We'll talk next week
in uh fun fact, Sean Angel loves Britney Spears, That's
(48:25):
why he always plays her music. So Joe, I don't
also knew that or not big fan? Yeah? Yeah, all right,
Joe up here, he's coming out. Who do you love? What?
Winning money? We know? The Wisconsin, the Wisconsin Badgers is
who I love. Thank you very much, Thank you Wisconsin.
I had a job. I don't have no idea. Yeah,
(48:49):
you got points, you got three points in and they
looks like they're gonna win the game. There are four
with eighteen seconds left. Auburn as well, well, quick quick
on Auburn. You loved Auburn two coming into today? Joe, Yeah, absolutely,
Again a couple of lines where and it's like this
throughout the day, Guys, Teams that would normally in the
middle of the season be favorite, they're getting they're getting
(49:10):
points or ridiculous numbers because there's nothing at State. Kentucky
is another one. Guys, they will be Florida today. All right,
we're gonna take that to the bank. Joe, real quick,
Janice the favorite m v P of the NBA. He's
going to get a precautionary m R I on his
knee not good news. I don't know what that means,
but that's not good news anytime he has to go
(49:32):
under cameras and see what's going on. Yeah, that's thank Lebron.
He's gonna be out. Yes, there you go, Joe smart,
Let's do eight to one right. He's not gonna win it.
He might win it. He might win them. Thank you, Joe.
That's at the window on the sports grid.
