Peace to the planet. I go by the name of Charlemagne,

with black creators who are shaping the now, the new,
and the next. For culture, It's black to business, y'all.
Who is Jasmine Sullivan without music? Silly? I'm very lighthearted.

(00:22):
If I could find like the humor in a situation,
I definitely will. I love God, love my family, I
love my friends. I'm an emfant. I'll try to see
and understand other people's point of view. I could go
on a north and I'm making Now, Jasmine, you got
five seconds to tell your story. What would the first
line of that story be? Good things come to those
who wait and work for it and takes good things

(00:48):
come to those who wait. Okay, now tell us the
top three things you wish more folks knew about the
music industry or just your world in general. That is
hard work, but if you love it, it's not as hard.
To have people around you that, like, really really love
you is a good way, Like they're not lose yourself
and go crazy because like the pressure being perfect is
so high in this industry. That you need people around

(01:10):
you that that keep you around it. That timing is
important in this industry, and I think I'm a great
example of that. Like you can have great content, even
greater gifts, but if it's not the right time, you
might not see progress. So like the timing, that's really
even when you speak about time, and like you know
you took a break, and it's one thing to know
when to take a break. How do you know when
it's time to come back. I guess it's just something

(01:31):
that you feel. For me, I told you a forward
that it was part my label that was Black Come
One Girl, and then part just feeling it, Like you
gotta listen to your inner self, listen to God, and
and move when he says move. And so that's what
happens to me. For more real talk from creators with
