Speaker 1 (00:08):
Welcome back to Bachelor Happy Hours, Golden Hour. Thanks so
much for joining us again. We are always so excited
to be back on Kathy.
Speaker 2 (00:15):
Oh, we are so excited. And today we're diving into
the most recent episode of The Golden Bachelor. Okay, Susan,
what did you think about this past episode?
Speaker 1 (00:24):
This was a good one. This was a real good one.
So the date card comes, I was on pins and
needles hoping that Cindy got the one on one and
sure enough, how about how emotional she was?
Speaker 2 (00:38):
Okay, first of all, I'm going back to the making
out on the beach, in the water, the passion there.
So when he when they called her name for the
one on one, I was like, oh, this is going
to be an amazing day. I got it, you know me,
I gotta make the joke. First. I started shaking. When
I saw the horses. I was like, oh my god,
thank god, it's not me.
Speaker 1 (01:00):
Well, did you notice how the elaborate they made that
date sound. Yeah, and then I see two horses coming up.
This is not like a beauty queen date. I remember
back from our show when Faith had the helicopter and
then the yacht, and I'm thinking, oh, they're going to
out do that. And there was two horses. O.
Speaker 2 (01:17):
Yeah, I'm just trying that. I like I had PTSD
when I saw the Sources show.
Speaker 1 (01:21):
Did you think Mel was real comfortable?
Speaker 2 (01:23):
No? I can talk Mel, I fail, you're paying trust me.
But here's the thing that I thought, again from a
golden perspective. I mean, we can talk about the date
and all that, but the preamble when Cindy says, on
the date, people come out of some people come out
of divorces bitter, and she wants Mel to know all
(01:45):
about her. I was proud of Cindy for doing that
because so many people at our age they just don't
want to talk. They want to move on. And I
love the fact that Cindy clearly she's a pass woman, right,
but the fact that she wants him to know everything
about her.
Speaker 1 (02:05):
It's a perfect way to start and get it over
with and you never have to speak about it again.
But let him know where you came from.
Speaker 2 (02:11):
Right and and but and I also have I have
to give hats off to Mel because you know, Mel
was saying how relaxed he feels with her, and he
said it's a powerful I think it's quote I think
the quote was something it's a powerful thing to feel
relaxed with someone. And again, I keep thinking, at our age,
(02:32):
we're not the younguns, you know, We're not like, yes,
we want adventure and we want love and we want
all of that, but it's different. We want to know
where people came from, what made you know, how to
make you exactly? And so I loved that. Uh the
energy they talk about, the energy you know that they
(02:53):
bring to relationships, and it's I keep thinking, it's so
different than what you.
Speaker 1 (03:00):
Love and you want the babies in the house with
the fans that they're not looking for the same things.
Speaker 2 (03:06):
And and yes, and I just you know, Mel talks
about conquering fears and.
Speaker 1 (03:13):
Then but to get into the group thing right when
they go to the yoga and the.
Speaker 2 (03:17):
No, no, no, this is when she's when she's they're
talking about going out, and you know he has some
ridden horses, yes, and he's saying, by the way, Sidney,
way to go on those cowboy boots as another girl
from Texas.
Speaker 1 (03:28):
How about how they matched.
Speaker 2 (03:29):
I know I was in the world, but but Susan,
here's something. What do you think about the fact that
he's talking about this guy was an NFL player, he
knocks people off their feet. He's a sports attorney now,
he's a public figure now, and he's talking on national
TV about conquering fears my hands on. What do you
think about that?
Speaker 1 (03:49):
Impressively, he was being in the moment, he was living
that moment and being true to himself. Hats off to you, Mel,
Hats off to every one of them that got into
that down deep feeling and let it come out.
Speaker 2 (04:04):
I just I hope people realize at our age, when
the youngins are talking, it's they haven't had the life
experiences yet. So when Cindy's talking, can you imagine talking
on national television about your husband that cheated on you
and and your divorce and and those those really deep feelings.
(04:25):
And I think that's what makes Golden Bachelor and us
as Golden's so different.
Speaker 1 (04:32):
Just because we have life experience, we have years, we.
Speaker 2 (04:36):
Have lots of years. But let me just say thanks
for reminding me, thanks for reminders, and and can I
also say the faith of your listening. I love you.
I'm better on the horses. But what did I mean
watching him ride and he's going whoa, whoa. I was
seeing I'm watching the TV sweating and going, oh, mal God,
please don't fall off, because I know how I was feeling.
(04:58):
And they kept saying to me, Kathy, up straight. I'm like,
sit up straight. I am holding on for dear life.
I'm not thinking about how it looks good on the camera,
and I wonder it so bless you mouth.
Speaker 1 (05:07):
But as they took that trail to get up to
the view was spectacular. That was kind of sweet when
it first came up. Like I said, I was looking
for yachts and helicopters, but cass were all different.
Speaker 2 (05:21):
One of the things I want to talk about the
group date with you too, But one other thing. So
he's had one on ones with Cindy and Peg and
and now Cheryl and and now Cindy. Right, I think
that's right.
Speaker 1 (05:36):
Cindy was one of the few that didn't have one yet,
and she.
Speaker 2 (05:41):
I know we're getting close to hometowns, so she's I
think she's having the last date if I'm right before one.
So here's the thing.
Speaker 1 (05:52):
She cried when she heard it.
Speaker 2 (05:53):
I know it was so sweet, But here's the thing.
I wonder if if I could not help. But when
I was watching PEG's hometown. I think I said in
another podcast.
Speaker 1 (06:06):
Pegs one on one day, I'm.
Speaker 2 (06:08):
Sorry, thank you for correcting. Pegs one on one. He
was like watching her saying, I don't want to interrupt
her fun. Remember he was talking about she's having to
blast and Peg is fun. There's if anyone doesn't see.
Speaker 1 (06:21):
That that girl is fun, right, But she reminds me
a lot of myself, both of us, three of us
saying although she knew every word.
Speaker 2 (06:30):
I know right Free Musketeers. I mean, she's fun, but
I didn't sense passion with Mel, but with Cindy I
felt a lot of deep passion on both sides.
Speaker 1 (06:42):
I believe, because that's who Cindy is. She's more serious
and more not that Peg wants a serious any less
than she did, right, she just goes about it different
and that's her personality, right.
Speaker 2 (06:53):
And that's I guess that's what I'm saying. As Golden's
I don't know. I keep coming back to like the
overriding things here, Peg and Cindy, and well, they're all different,
they're but those two one on ones to me stuck out,
like Cheryl's one on one being the princess. I mean,
you can be a princess as a young and you
can be a princess whatever. And that was a lovely date.
(07:15):
But I really thought how different people react to different people,
know words, Mel was a different person around Peg than
he was around Cindy.
Speaker 1 (07:26):
Did you feel hugs and his kisses weren't as deep
and emotional with Peg, yes, as they were with Cindy. Yeah,
and we all knew that.
Speaker 2 (07:35):
And I wonder, but here's the thing I wonder, is
it that we as Golden's is that we've had we
bring that out? Like, what's your thought on that?
Speaker 1 (07:44):
I think some young people even are more passionate. One's
more fun and energetic than the other person. That's just life,
that's just individuals. You know, let's talk about that group.
Speaker 2 (07:54):
Oh good? Can I just start with deep? Okay, Well,
let me just say I'm a deep person. I'm not
into rock stones or twigs or.
Speaker 1 (08:02):
You know, I'm like what in in the moment? No?
Speaker 2 (08:06):
No, no, I really so talk to me. I mean all
I can think.
Speaker 1 (08:09):
I felt it. I was trying to be in it earlier.
Speaker 2 (08:13):
I was like, what are they trying to clean? Just
give me, give me a.
Speaker 1 (08:19):
Letting go of any kind of negativity, you know, how
do we speak at the universe and like attracts like
so anything negative or or their their fears that were
in their body at that time. Because this is a
crucial point in the show. The next thing is home.
Speaker 2 (08:36):
I get it. I'm not all that bad jusu. I'm yes,
I am saying for me, I agree. I mean the
way I do it is, you know, I have a drink,
I go walk five miles.
Speaker 1 (08:50):
You weren't on a group date and made to do it.
That's what I know.
Speaker 2 (08:54):
I just to me it doesn't feel comfortable as that's
again at our age being forced. That might work for
some people. For me, I was struggling with that hole.
Speaker 1 (09:05):
So if you were laying there with a couple of stones,
here here, here, what your mind couldn't focus on?
Speaker 2 (09:11):
You know what? You know what I mean? I'm you know,
I mean, I'm laugh a minute, but honestly, I would
be like, I feel that rock, I wonder that smooth
I just why is not on my chest? Can we
move it under my arm? Can we get this off
of me?
Speaker 1 (09:23):
I thought I was big Kathy, but I struggled with
meditation until it was just the last few years I
realized that meditation doesn't have to be complete quiet, no thought,
because thoughts popping all the time, and I always said,
I can't do it right. You have to control that.
Speaker 2 (09:41):
Okay, well the control Susan. Wait, Susan Kathy control. No,
those words do not go together. Wait, but I did
want to talk about Peg talking about I don't know
why this show to me is all about themes. I
don't know. I didn't feel this way on our show.
(10:02):
Maybe it's or your Well or Jones, but this one,
like Peg talked about, they said something you wanted to
let go of, and Peg said she felt worthy, So
I'm assuming she kept saying I'm worthy. Well, that's not
tithing to get rid of Debbie. Debbie talked about hopelessness.
(10:23):
She wanted to get rid of that. Mel talked about friction.
He wanted to get rid of friction. And again I'm
thinking it, age doesn't matter, And in fact, as we
get older, sometimes we feel more friction, more hopelessness, more
unworthiness because we've lived so many lots, we've lived so
(10:44):
many aspects of our life.
Speaker 1 (10:46):
Just a minute ago, when you were struggling with if
the rock was on my chest, and I'll be thinking,
there you go. You just said the three things. What
is it in you at that moment? If it were you,
that was your fear or.
Speaker 2 (10:58):
Your being single the rest of my life? Can I
marry one of those rocks?
Speaker 1 (11:02):
That's what that moment was about, letting go of that right,
But I need to do it on TV in front
of all these people. You really had to be in
that moment to be real about it.
Speaker 2 (11:12):
I agree. I love the fact that, forget even national TV.
I want people to see that at any age, you
can feel unworthy or worthy, you can feel helpless or hopeless.
Speaker 1 (11:31):
Or they used to call myself a hopeless romantic, and
you said, you're I'm a hopeful romantic.
Speaker 2 (11:38):
But I'm saying I love the fact that that they
could talk about those things. I wanted to smell what
the friction? Who knows, maybe, but but the fact that
we experience those same emotions friction.
Speaker 1 (11:49):
He might not be able to say, it's this right,
It might be several little things right towards your hid
can we get too? And then as they talked, each
one of them had moments with him yes, and he
asked some important questions. And then we get to my
friend the cole wait and what he asked.
Speaker 2 (12:09):
Hold on, wait, I need to get into a bomb
shelter here, hockey protection.
Speaker 1 (12:14):
So Nicole Darling, I've gotta talk to you. No, she
looks like a ball offier. She does. She looks fun.
Speaker 2 (12:21):
However, it's just okay. So but before we get to
talking about.
Speaker 1 (12:27):
Nicole, their little one on one.
Speaker 2 (12:29):
That's what I want to talk about first. I melt
my hat is off to you because I think he
picked up on her negative energy. I think he picked
up on that. And by that negative energy, yeah, I
think she has a negative energy. She was very unfocused,
unclear when he said where do you see yourself in
five years? And she was talking about you know, her
(12:51):
daddy running her money, which you know, her her account.
Speaker 1 (12:54):
She still needs to work.
Speaker 2 (12:55):
And she was going to do I'm thinking about a
cookbook like it didn't seem that she'd given any thought
to his question to it, Well, no, no, no. The
fact that she hasn't thought about her life and where
you want to be planning, we as adults plan our futures.
Speaker 1 (13:14):
When you're put on the spot and asked that question,
I was always very uncomfortable when I didn't know my
response right away. It is okay to pause, let me
give that something exactly, and you handle it so much better.
Speaker 2 (13:30):
Right.
Speaker 1 (13:31):
But when he walked away from that, he didn't really
find out much because.
Speaker 2 (13:36):
She did for because here's here's my thing on Nicole,
and then I'm giving you the floor and I'm just
gonna take shelter. I feel like, I don't think we're
going to get into the whole thing about being there
for the wrong reasons. We've talked about that, we're going
to get into the second. But I think her answers
(13:57):
to mel were indicative of the fact act that she's
not mature about her future. She's not in a place
and for ready for love, and that's who free. Whatever
it is, it's like, what do you want to do?
I'm thinking about maybe a cookbook, Like that's something a
twenty four year old would say. You know, she's really
(14:19):
thinking about how to get her Instagram numbers up. And
this gets into and then you're on.
Speaker 1 (14:25):
But how about when they were leaving, she said, give
me a kiss for the camera?
Speaker 2 (14:30):
Why cart about I can tell you what it's about.
Speaker 1 (14:32):
That rubbed me wrong.
Speaker 2 (14:33):
It rubbed me wrong too, But when kissed me, because
you want to kiss, right, you know. You know, one
of the Bachelor famous taglines is being there for the
right reasons. Yes, okay, I don't. I really rarely use
that expression because I believe, as we've talked, you can
be there to have adventure, you can be there to
(14:55):
find love. What you shouldn't do is come there to
grow your Instagram audience. We didn't even know or get
some brand deals. But you know what Kathy as each
show she's there for the wrong reason.
Speaker 1 (15:08):
Well, she admits it. Yeah, although well I'm jumping ahead.
What she said when she was leaving that blew my
mind too. I think she's just so over the top
and wants to be seen and heard. Whether it's a
positive way a negative way, it doesn't matter. She just
wanted to stand I felt, to get attention. And that
(15:30):
might be her insecurity. I don't maybe the woman yet, right,
but I will.
Speaker 2 (15:34):
Well we've met her, we met her at the I
don't know her here. Here's what bothers me again, as
a golden I want women to support women. And when
she popped off that we aren't as good looking and
then and then took to Instagram and apologized.
Speaker 1 (15:55):
Yes I got that today actually, so.
Speaker 2 (15:57):
Yeah, she sent it to us individually as well. Here's
the thing. Okay, you're sorry. Yes we are trailblazers. We're
everything you said on your Instagram post. But we are
also beautiful, talented, accomplished women just as good as they are.
I mean, I don't talk a lot.
Speaker 1 (16:16):
Don't say that. And you know what, mel season started
with an apology because he opened his mouth and inserted
his foot. He was maybe joking or maybe you know,
just but it still came out. Well, now she's claiming
that she did the same thing. Right, she didn't. Maybe,
but she says what she said, you know exactly what?
Speaker 2 (16:34):
Oh no, she say and she did not. She did
not say she were trailblazers, Nicole, where's the nice comment? Actually,
you're all beautiful accomplished. I didn't have that.
Speaker 1 (16:45):
That's not enough. So I have a question. Yeah, did
you hear when she took all the credit for the
lemon bars? What was that about? Was she trying to
be funny? Like maybe I'm missing something?
Speaker 2 (16:57):
No, I think it's I mean, what do I know?
Speaker 1 (17:00):
I think she was in the dracoozie. As a matter
of fact, I think it. I think when you're on
a show like this and you're trying to get your
time in your moment. I think it was strategic on
her part for him to see her as Susie homemaker,
because you know, a way to a man's heartest to
his stomach. I don't know, but I'm thinking, what a
waste of time Once you're disingenuous, once you're once you
(17:24):
tell those little lies and stories, and you know, I'm
thinking about a cookbook in ten years time. I mean,
Mel's Mel was really easy to read in that like, yeah,
she's not here for the right reasons. So I'm remember
Robin dropped that bomb. Yes, I wish she ever said name.
Speaker 2 (17:41):
She should have.
Speaker 1 (17:42):
Ever said no, she shouldn't have she planted a seed.
But I think that happens in every show, don't you.
There's always somebody that somebody else wants to go say, well,
this one's arguing with this one, or something negative about
somebody else. I would hate to ever be that person.
Speaker 2 (17:59):
Yeah, I mean I want to move on to talking
about a couple of things. So I don't want to
give honestly, don't want to give her too much oxygen
because I think I think that.
Speaker 1 (18:09):
Because that's what you want, that's what she.
Speaker 2 (18:11):
Wants, and I think that this show is about finding love.
You and I. How many times have we said this,
Susan when the first Golden Bacheloro, when we came on
the show, we came, and I can speak for all
of us. We came for love, adventure. We left with
great friendships. You know, that's what it was about. We
(18:33):
didn't know the experienced. We did not say, hey, can
we get a brand deal? We didn't know. I mean,
I couldn't spell influences.
Speaker 1 (18:42):
That's why I'm saying to you. As each show happens, Yes,
more and more people are learning, Like they see us
have a podcast. I see us out on.
Speaker 2 (18:51):
The in But you know what, Susan, You and I
still we still you and I and I think I
speak for most of the women on our show. We
believe in the process of finding love.
Speaker 1 (19:02):
That's what the show is about.
Speaker 2 (19:03):
And so it's insulting. It is insulting, and.
Speaker 1 (19:08):
People need to remember that this is not about getting
somewhere in life. Sometimes it happens, sometimes it does. Right,
it's about finding a.
Speaker 2 (19:17):
Connection and you know what the other thing it's about, it's.
Speaker 1 (19:19):
Like a miracle when it happens.
Speaker 2 (19:21):
Yeah, I would love that I wouldn't know. Oh god, wait,
can I tell you the other thing it's about in
my book at Our Age Women Supporting Women?
Speaker 1 (19:32):
Did you have on her behalf? Other women have told
me from the show she did everybody's makeup. She was
really fun to be around, like she has a good spirit. However,
you don't bury or trash something else to make yourself shine,
because you're making yourself look worse and you're not.
Speaker 2 (19:53):
Oh no, wait, before we get to that, I want
to talk about Debbie, who she's strategic. Also she's fallen
in love with him. I love Debbie and wants to
meet her family. And I'm seeing now all of a sudden,
I got this rush and I'm getting it again, this
like goosebumps because it's Cheryl says it. You know, I
(20:17):
have true feelings for you. I'm falling in love. They're
all falling in love, and I.
Speaker 1 (20:22):
Know that's the time. It's right before I know. I
both recommend that. Yeah, I remember telling Ellen, tell them,
tell them, do you really feel this? Tell him?
Speaker 2 (20:31):
I just feel like it's it's you know, they're they're
those women genuinely are fallen in love and and uh uh,
Nicole is busy planning a cookbook. I mean by Nicole anyway, Carol,
we have to talk about Carol, who self eliminated.
Speaker 1 (20:50):
I think she's uncomfortable with the whole dating thing. As
she said, she had one boyfriend, one husband. She is
not comfortable being forward. I remember sitting there with her.
Speaker 2 (21:03):
In the towel.
Speaker 1 (21:04):
Huh, she did well, She did really well in the towel.
Speaker 2 (21:09):
So I agree with everything you're saying. Again as an
adult woman and you and I are much more forward
and out there. But I have to say I really
feel it with her saying she's trying to her chakra
whatever those her stone on her chest or whatever was.
You know, she didn't feel supported, the fear, all of
(21:30):
those things. She said to Melim at a crossroads. I
to me again, what a great message for Golden's, for anyone. Really,
you can walk away with your head high saying I'm
not feeling supported by you. I would love to have
fallen in love with you, but I'm not. I can't.
Speaker 1 (21:50):
Jurney fond in a way that she felt like I
could still be.
Speaker 2 (21:54):
But aren't you proud as a woman that she could say,
I can't continue this journey with you. I loved it.
I lost it.
Speaker 1 (22:00):
Kathy. You remember on our show, I know you and
me both and most of us said we didn't know
if we were ready or you lost your husband. There
was a few widow and after the experience, you were open.
Your heart is open. You are ready to find love.
You've gained that from this show, right, you know what
(22:23):
I'm saying. So there you go. When she was ready
to leave, she said, I'm she's ready now, she can
do it, yes, And it gave her that.
Speaker 2 (22:32):
It did. Oh, I think, I mean we've again, we've
met Carol, lovely woman. But I was so proud of
her as a woman that on National TV. How some
women stand up, be strong right?
Speaker 1 (22:44):
And it walk me out?
Speaker 2 (22:46):
She said, I know it broke my heart, but it.
Speaker 1 (22:49):
Was so real.
Speaker 2 (22:52):
So well. A couple of things that I had notes
about that I'm just gonna throw in here because you know,
we're going to get.
Speaker 1 (22:58):
To the rest of time.
Speaker 2 (23:00):
All the time we have time, mel I want to
give from mel Sydney got a star was up, the
sweetest thing, a star the stars are aligning for She's crying.
I mean, I love that. I thought that was so romantic.
I just know I want to help, but they I
mean that connection that they have, I agree, and their
(23:23):
date to me, to me was the most each one
focused on the other as opposed to one being focused
on the other. Okay, then the other thing, you we
got screwed on our show. We didn't get to talk
to our children. We didn't get to talk to our children.
Speaker 1 (23:40):
Tears that I know that gets me every time.
Speaker 2 (23:42):
I know.
Speaker 1 (23:43):
That's like when Jones season and the Men all had
I mean, I was like, I didn't think of that,
just had a baby. Yet they didn't think of me
the first I know.
Speaker 2 (23:53):
I was just like, what wait of to bring back
our friend from Florida? I feel like when he she
said to him when she left. I know I'm jumpinghad
but we'll get to the roast. But I just want
to finish with her now so we can get finished
(24:13):
on a high note. If it doesn't work out with
the one you.
Speaker 1 (24:19):
Hold the zip zip zip zip. That's the final word.
Speaker 2 (24:23):
Well you can say it, but wait list, okay, choose
me for the Golden Bouts like I could not. It's cheating.
Speaker 1 (24:32):
There's a thing they call you're trying too hard. Yes,
less is more, Yes, that's the thing. So now we're
at the rose ceremony. Yeah, were you're sweating where you're thinking?
Speaker 2 (24:43):
Okay, when I watched the roast ceremony, so we have
a lot of time to talk about this.
Speaker 1 (24:51):
What did you think they're lined up? Everybody looks gorgeous.
I remember us and the gowns and Peg had on
that fune sure like, okay, stay out girl. Honestly, I
was surprised tell me that he let Cheryl go.
Speaker 2 (25:12):
Tell me why.
Speaker 1 (25:13):
I don't know. I thought they had a connection. I
was like, whoa, Yeah, but Susan, I knew. I knew
Peg was in it. I knew Cindy was in it.
I thought no Peg was in it. I was happy
had so much fun with her. He did have fun.
Speaker 2 (25:29):
And Debbie to me, uh, but they could only have three, right,
So Cheryl to me, it was for me, it was
between Cheryl and Debbie.
Speaker 1 (25:42):
For me, it was between Cheryl and Peg. Oh really, yeah,
because I knew. Debbie confessed how she felt about him
and how she's found her man. And but when the
thoughts that were going out loud through our friend from
Florida's mouth, she said, I'm putting it out for the universe.
(26:03):
I know he's picking me. It didn't work, did it?
And you know what, she may be a lovely yes,
it's probably fun.
Speaker 2 (26:12):
Probably, I think she's super fun. But I'm all about
at our age. You and I've talked about the Susan. Yes,
we had a blast on our show, right, we've got
you and I've had tons of opplication. We've had tons
of opportunities where we left were good with it. But
what you and I really tried to do is represent
Golden's well through humor, through telling our true life story.
(26:35):
That's not representing Golden's other women.
Speaker 1 (26:38):
I was genuinely happy when they got that date, you know,
and when Joan had to leave, we were there for her.
It was about womanhood and friendships. Like we said, this
one was a little different than ours. So absolutely was different.
Speaker 2 (26:54):
You've said it along. The women were different from day one.
Speaker 1 (26:57):
Yes, it was different. I think put my finger.
Speaker 2 (27:00):
I think Mel said that, you know, it's getting close.
He's got to make hard decisions. I felt like if
there could have been four, Cheryl would have been in
on that thing because I but I guess, I guess
for me, it wasn't surprising because I feel for them all,
you know, But when Cheryl she had won an earlier
(27:21):
one on ones and I think so, I think so, yeah,
but when you when you're when it the time is.
It's a time capsule, right, And I think as time
moves on, the people who have the later one on ones,
I think are at an advantage. And I think.
Speaker 1 (27:44):
Although for our it was like Teresa had the first.
Speaker 2 (27:49):
And look how well that worked out. So there's that.
I don't know. I think that this I don't know
where it's going to go. We don't know.
Speaker 1 (27:57):
My feeling overall is I don't believe that Mel is
ready to propose. I think he's ready to have a
relationship maybe, but I don't see him falling so harder.
At least he's not showing that.
Speaker 2 (28:14):
Okay, So that's something you and I talked about before
we came out today. To me, i've ever met Mel,
I can't wait to meet him. But Mel comes across
as stiff and I under and I'm and I'm being serious, sir.
I don't mean stiff from football injuries, which I'm sure
he's had plenty. He's he's definitely stiff in the movement
(28:35):
of his body, but he seems awkward with women.
Speaker 1 (28:38):
He think he does it. He's not used to maybe
sharing emotion or he does it.
Speaker 2 (28:44):
It's not what football players do, right, it's not what
lawyers do.
Speaker 1 (28:48):
Lawyers they keep it all.
Speaker 2 (28:49):
They keep it, they keep it tight to their chest.
Speaker 1 (28:51):
And he doesn't. I feel like I can't read it.
Speaker 2 (28:56):
I can't read it. I mean, he's been single five years.
Maybe yes, I don't know, Maybe hasn't dated that much.
I don't know. I don't feel except for Cindy, I
have to say, I see him having fun with Peg.
I see him generally connecting with Debbie, just that sort
of lovely sweet and yeah so sweet and then I and.
Speaker 1 (29:19):
Then looks at him, but he looks.
Speaker 2 (29:22):
At her that way too, So I don't know. I
feel like I don't know. I would be surprised. I mean,
if there's not an engagement, because there usually is one,
that's that's part of.
Speaker 1 (29:36):
It, right, Yeah, I don't know. I mean I'm sure
there's been shows that they didn't right.
Speaker 2 (29:42):
So all right, so now we're looking forward to next
week to hometowns.
Speaker 1 (29:46):
Wait, now can we go once again with that fath.
Speaker 2 (29:50):
Okay, I.
Speaker 1 (29:53):
Parting the gall to say, no matter who you pick,
I know it's not gonna work, so you can call
excuse me, young lady, like why because.
Speaker 2 (30:06):
Maybe that's how she felt in the moment, or maybe
she was trying to make good TV. I don't know,
but again I'm sound like a broken record. It to me.
I wanted her to say, I'm sorry it wasn't I
wanted her to go leave gracefully. Mel. I'm sorry it
didn't work for us. But I wish you only the best,
(30:26):
only love, because that's what I wish for everyone. I
haven't found that love. That's what I wish for Mel.
That's what I wish for Gary. That's what I wish
for you. That is what, especially as a golden you've
lived life, give people grace. So that's bothered me. But
I can't wait for next week because holdowns and you
(30:47):
know what, Austin, Texas.
Speaker 1 (30:50):
One little thing, Carol. We were talking about Carol, and
now she left. But do you remember Cheryl seeing her
get into the black car grass like the look on
her face and they were all just.
Speaker 2 (31:04):
Well, good, you know what that's called Susan not we
supporting women felt badly that she left. Good for you, Cheryl,
But I'm so excited because Austin's gonna be there, my girl.
I've called it from the beginning, my hometown girl. I'm
so glad she's she's in this cannot wait for next week.
Speaker 1 (31:23):
This is going to be fun. And with that said, Kathy,
you know, we spent a lot of time today just going,
go and going because it was such a great episode.
But I think we are out of time.
Speaker 2 (31:38):
I hate parting is such sweet sorrow Susan.
Speaker 1 (31:42):
